Hunter Hayes is no longer dating ex-girlfriend Libby Barnes, with the two having split last summer.

Hayes and Barnes had been dating since 2014, and fans of the celebrity couple were wondering for some time if they were still together, since the usually-affectionate couple had stopped displaying as much affection for each other publicly.

Hayes, a successful country music artist, told People back in 2017 that his "heart was happy," with Barnes, although he had no intention of rushing into a proposal.

The two were first spotted together in 2014, when Hayes introduced her to fans as she accompanied him to the 2014 CMA Awards.

He released a super romantic song inspired by Barnes called "Amen" but followed it up with his newest release post-breakup, titled "Heartbreak," which marks his first single in nearly three years.

"Hearbreak" is on his upcoming third studio album, which highlights "transformation of personal growth and the hardest form of that.".

Although the two have gone their separate ways and Hayes is now single, he still considers himself a hopeless romantic, who will "never stop trying to find his other half," according to People.

"I'm pathetically always looking for my life partner, there's no question," he said.

"It's a bit overly romantic I think, [but] I am.

I do love that partnership and team effort and a lot of creativity has been born from those experiences.".

Barnes and Hayes were together for close to four years when they split.

According to Bustle, Barnes is a Nashville native and worked as a hair stylist and makeup artist for some time.

The couple kept their relationship private for the most part, including their breakup.

He hasn't shed much light on the reasons behind the split, although he has mentioned that he poured a lot of what he dealt with throughout the last year into his newest album.

Although he was battling heartbreak, Hayes told People that he wasn't going to let it get the best of him, and decided to set out on a mission to transform himself, which included "scrapping everything," from the project he was working on for nearly four years and flipping it into something that spoke "no one's truth but his own.

"I said, 'This is the record I want to make,' I named the album and I gave myself a clear picture of where I wanted to go topic wise and what I wanted to talk about," he says about his forthcoming album, which is due out later this year.

He says his newest single is a shout-out to his future wife, and that he hopes he can one day find someone who loves him completely for the person he is, including his flaws, according to People.

"I don't know if I'm the only one — I don't think I am, but I don't want to speak for everybody — but I definitely have changed a lot about myself to make some relationships work.

The best part about when they don't work is that you get to go back to being yourself again and realize someone is going to love your really quirky things," he says about becoming himself again after heartbreak, admitting in the song he's experienced some "s— relationships.".

"You were built and designed to be something different and unique, so there's no reason to leave behind magical, weird parts of your personality just because someone doesn't necessarily 100 percent approve," he adds.

The relationship between Codi Butts and Candace Rice has been a defining storyline of Floribama Shore.

The former has made his feelings for Candace known on multiple occasions, and they even agreed to go on a date together during the first half of season two.

Given the ups and downs they've undergone, however, some viewers may be wondering whether Codi and Candace are a couple or whether they're just friends.

Currently, its unclear whether Codi and Candace are dating.

Candace decided to not go on the date they made during the start of season two, as she was reportedly seeing someone else at the time.

Despite this, the two have posted photos together on Instagram as recently as January 8.

"Well well well….

if it ain't my girl Candace!", Codi wrote in one of the captions.

Several fans in the comment section have sounded off about their hopes that Codi and Candace are together. Codi spoke to TooFab about his feelings for Candace and he made it clear that he hasn't given up on the possibility of a romance.

Codi went on to admit that his demeanor may have led Candace to believe he wasn't as serious about their potential romance as he actually was.

"I was very serious," he admitted.

"But I come off as very flirtatious and fun-loving and always trying to have a good time.

So I can see where she thought that I was probably not serious and I'm trying to, you know, tell her that I am serious, just give me a chance and I can show you how serious I can be.".

Codi Has Said That He Doesn't Plan to Give Up on His Potential Romance With Candace.

Codi also explained what his idea of a gentleman is, and how he feels he's right for Candace.

"I think a gentleman is somebody that is number one, respectful to women," he said.

"Number two, not only that, but you open the car door, you open up the door for a lady, you pull her chair out, you just slide her up to the table, you know, if she needs her steak cut, you cut a steak for her.

"I mean you ain't her servant, but I mean you are very courteous to her and treat her with respect," he added.

"You don't talk down to her, you don't belittle in front of people or, or even behind closed doors and you damn sure don't put your hands on a woman ever.".

TNG Data Dating Episode vs. The Orville's Isaac S02E06 | Heavy.com

Many episodes of The Orville pay homage to Star Trek, and tonight's is no exception.

If you feel like this episode reminds you of one involving Data, you're right. Star Trek: The Next Generation had an episode where a woman fell in love with Data and he tried dating, too. This post has spoilers for the TNG episode and for The Orville Season 2 Episode 6.

On The Next Generation, a character named Jenna D'Sora fell in love with Data in an episode called "In Theory" from Season 4 Episode 25. The episode didn't have the happy ending that we got on The Orville, however.

This episode aired in 1991.

Here's a quick look at what happened on TNG.

(You can read a more detailed synopsis on the Fandom Wiki here.) Data embarks on a relationship in order to better understand humanity (sound familiar?) Jenna had recently broken up with her boyfriend.

After he tried to get her to take him back, Data reminded Jenna of all the reasons why they broke up.

Jenna thought it was sweet.

Data is also very complimentary of Jenna's work after they both play in a chamber concert.

(This is an interesting parallel to tonight's episode, in fact.) They have dinner with Miles and Keiko, and later Jenna kisses Data, which surprises him.

Data turns to his colleagues for advice.

Guinan says it will be a new experience, and Troi says "we're all the sum of our parts, Data.

You'll have to be more than the sum of your programming." Riker, of course, encourages Data to pursue the relationship.

Just like Isaac, Data goes to Jenna's quarters with flowers, based on Riker's recommendation.

Data says he developed a subroutine just for her (this also sounds similar to The Orville episode.) Jenna and Data have some issues, which Data find perplexing.

In fact, Data eventually is too attentive and Jenna gets concerned.

Data even tries to start a lover's quarrel with her as part of his programming.

In the end, Jenna is saddened to realize he has no emotions for her and nothing she does or says has any effect on him.

Data says he'll delete his relationship program, unaffected.

Data might have actually developed more fondness for his cat Spot than he did in his brief dating experience.

The Orville episode had a great deal more hope than the TNG episode with Data's date.

Things ended happily for Isaac and Claire, with hope of more to come.

Isaac may not be "in love" with Claire, but his programming had gotten used to her, and he runs more efficiently with Claire by his side than alone.

The episode paid homage to the Data episode, but with a twist that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Data's feelings about Tasha Yar, as he explained to her sister in Season 4 Episode 6 of TNG, might be closer to the "love" that Isaac experienced than Data's brief fling with dating.

During a book signing, Twist showed up and made Sam increasingly nervous.

Twist has a long and detailed history of dating fellow celebrities.
