An Arizona rescue worker was left in shock when the wife of a local billionaire refused to pay for the medical care for her seven rottweilers
Shelly Froehlich claims that she was almost forced to foot a $20,000 bill after learning that some of the six puppies, who along with their mother were dumped on her by Sylvia Shoen, needed life-saving medical treatments
Shoen, who is battling cancer, did not reveal when she had an employee drop off the dogs that some were inbred and others suffered from parasitic infections
She also failed to mention she was married to Joe Shoen, a billionaire U-Haul heir, and paid no surrender fee at the time of the transfer, forcing Froehlich's dog adoption facility Rotten Rottie Rescue to absorb all costs
Froehlich eventually learned about the owner of the dogs' wealth and sent her a text asking for the money to save the animals, to which Shoen responded: 'Crazy dog adoption lady trying to squeeze the Shoen's for $$$
'This B**** will never see a copper penny!'Scroll down for video 'This woman purchased [the mother] Coco from a breeder with the intent to breed her,' wrote Froehlich in a Facebook post after Shoen's text
'She also purchased Coco's brother, but didn't bother to fix him to make sure that they didn't accidentally breed and Sylvia allowed this to happen
Coco's first litter consisted of just three puppies as far as i can tell and they have severe hip issues
'She added: 'Then while she was in the hospital Coco got pregnant by her brother a second time

'The next thing I notice is that the whole family has water shooting out their rear ends,' wrote Froelich, saying the smallest puppy was so dehydrated that she 'could pull on the scruff of his neck and it just stuck there
'Some tested positive for giardia and others coccida, which all the puppies were treated for according to Froehlich
'I called the man that brought them to inform him and ask when the diarrhea had started
That is when he told me that the week prior they tested the sickest little boy and he tested positive for Giardia,' said Froelich
'He said that they were treated for it but maybe they needed another round of medication
Next the other little boy took a turn for the worse and became lethargic and had water shooting out of him about 20 times a day
'At this time another woman was caring for the mother, and she decided to look up the information on the dog's collar, learning that Shoen was a billionaire
Two days after she posted on Facebook, Shoen's husband came to take the dogs back, but Froehlich refused to hand them over given the condition she had received them and believing they were suffering from neglect
'She allowed King to try to exist in this condition. Suffering through every time he tries to move,' wrote Froehlich
'I'm not sure how he dislocated his hip but it doesn't take a brain to know that there is something seriously wrong with this puppy
And she refuses to get him the help that he needs? How dare she dump her dog on me in this condition, without any resources, and no options for him other than to put him to sleep or come up with $8000!'She continued: 'My god what kind of a monster is she? How can a woman with such stature be so damn stingy, and self centered ?' She still did not get any money however, and so Froehlich decided to instead start posting negative Yelp reviews on the local U-Haul facilities in the state, which got the attention of her husband
Soon after, she received $15,310 for the surgeries two of the puppies needed and was reimbursed for the previous medical treatments
Forehlich updated her post to announce this news, twice writing: 'Thank you Joe Shoen for making this right
' She does however still have concerns for the three dogs that are still living with the Shoens
'Two 11 week old puppies and their dad. They live in their own feces which makes sense why the puppies that I received were so full of parasites and worms!' claimed Freohlich
'They said that nobody ever cleans up the poop, that they are lucky if they get clean fresh water daily
Nobody is training these dogs, or socializing them or loving them.' She went on to stat6e: 'Joe himself admitted to me that Sylvia's immune system is compromised so she is not even allowed to go near the dogs! Why in the hell does she want them then? Those puppies will not survive the brutal summer months that are upon us
'They will die if something is not done to help them.' BILLIONAIRE REFUSES TO PAY FOR TREATMENT OF HER SICK DOGSSo I'll start from the beginning for those of you who missed the first part of this story
On April 16, at 7:30 am, a woman named Sylvia Shoen left a voice message. Here is the transcript
"Hi my name is Sylvia and I have the most lovely seven Rottweilers that has AKC papers
I had cancer and I've not able to take care of ___ actually had babies when I went into the hospital and so I'm trying to find a good home for them because they're just down the um but I just I cannot take care of them my phone number is __ ____________your ___ _______ ________ dogs um and we were hoping that um you could help us find a good home for them as quickly as possible my phone number is thank you very much…"Before I could listen to this message, my phone woke me up at 8am
I answered and there was a man on the line that said, hi I am wondering what time I can bring you the Rottweilers today
I said I knew nothing about it. He said his boss had told him that she already made the arrangements with me
I told him to have her fill out our owner surrender forms for the dogs and we would do our best to help
He said he would.I got up and got ready and had to take Kid to his vet. I had planned on dropping him off at my house and then i had to head to my cardiologist appointment
When we got back to the house with Kid, there was a navigator in front of my house and in the back were three crates containing 7 Rottweilers
He hands me an AKC litter registration form and that was it. I asked to see medical records, shot records, the owner surrender form, but he had nothing
I looked in the back of the navigator and there were some very cute rottweiler faces looking back at me from inside their crates
There were 4 puppies that were 9 weeks old, 2 puppies that are 8 months old and their mother ( of all the puppies) I asked where Dad was and the rest of the litter and he said that the owner had decided to keep them
I left with the pups still in their crates and my husband in charge of where to put them
Off to my doctor's appointment i went. When I returned, I went to meet our new family and l immediately noticed that the 8 month old boy has atrophy to his hind end, and that it swung off to one side, and he had a strange gait
I thought it was hip dysplasia and I was immediately sad for him. Watching the female walk I noticed that there is something wrong with her rear end too it's nowhere near as bad as the boys but should be looked at and addressed nevertheless
The next thing I notice is that the whole family has water shooting out their rear ends
They were immediately put on solitary confinement and I made an appointment for Dr Carr to see them
The smallest puppy of them All was dangerously dehydrated. I could pull on the scruff of his neck and it just stuck there
Dr Carr ran a Parvo test and tested for coccidia and Giardia. He Tested negative for giardia and Parvo but positive for coccidia
He was given iv fluids at the hospital and sub q fluids at home. So the whole family was treated for coccidia
I called the man that brought them to inform him and ask when the diarrhea had started
That is when he told me that the week prior they tested the sickest little boy and he tested positive for Giardia
He said that they were treated for it but maybe they needed another round of medication
Next the other little boy took a turn for the worse and became lethargic and had water shooting out of him about 20 times a day
He was taken to the vet and they ran a Parvo, and parasite screening on him too. He tested positive for both Giardia and coccidia and was given antibiotics for both
He was also given fluids. Then I received a text message from Kim, Coco's foster mom to inform me that coco was also sick
She also said that she had googled the telephone number that was on coco's collar and she had found out some information about the previous owner
Her name is Sylvia Shoen. Apparently she is married to the man who owns U-Haul and she is worth 2
6 billion dollars!! I felt bad for this last not knowing what I know now and waived the $600 surrender fee that i would normally chargeThis woman purchased Coco from a breeder with the intent to breed her
She also purchased Coco's brother, but didn't bother to fix him to make sure that they didn't accidentally breed and Sylvia allowed this to happen

I don't know what happened to the other little girl named Dream, but i have a feeling that with bad hips or not that girl will be having puppies soon
Then while she was in the hospital Coco got pregnant by her brother a second time
I might be able to understand how this could happen if this lady didn't have servants
Nevertheless it was irresponsible to let it happen once. After that happen the brother should have been neutered and Coco spayed
She is a billionaire. All she had to do was say it be done and somebody would have taken care of it for her
There are medical records from the time Coco was a puppy that I have. In these records, it says that Sylvia decided to amputate coco's tail at 10 weeks old
If this is ever to be done to a rottweiler for cosmetic purposes, it should only be done between 3-5 days old
If you miss that window they should keep their tails.So today I took the male eight-month-old puppy to see Dr
Carr to find out what exactly is wrong with his hips. X-rays show that his hip has been dislocated or very long time and it is impossible at this point to put it back in socket
The only way to fix this poor boy is going to be a total hip replacement. I have not taking them to a orthopedic specialist because I know that the total hip replacement is gonna cost about $8000 and we certainly do not have the money
So I thought to myself you know if I was a billionaire and I had a way to help this poor dog why wouldn't I? Eight thousand dollars would be nothing to me
I would have handbags that cost more than that, so sure I would want to help him out
After all I'm the one that is responsible for him being on this earth! So I contacted Mrs Shoen, I told her my predicament and I asked her if i could return the puppy to her
I didn't ask her for any money I asked to return her puppy to her so that she could take care of him
There is no way in hell I would ever let her abuse this dog ever again, but I felt I would get a better response if I said that vs just asking her for the money to pay for it
The response that I got says, "crazy rescue dog lady trying to squeeze money from the Shoens $ $ you will never see a copper penny bitch"This is the first time that I have heard anything from her since she left me the voicemail!She allowed King to try to exist in this condition
Suffering through every time he tries to move. I'm not sure how he dislocated his hip but it doesn't take a brain to know that there is something seriously wrong with this puppy
And she refuses to get him the help that he needs? How dare she dump her dog on me in this condition, without any resources, and no options for him other than to put him to sleep or come up with $8000! My god what kind of a monster is she? She has more money then she could even spend In Her lifetime, and she still wants to hoard it to herself and ask other people to take care of her mistakes and pay her bills?? It's not right!! I am pissed
I need you all to stand behind me on this one. I want her story spread far and wide
I want every one to see how nasty a person she is, and let her know this, in any way that you feel fit
I'm posting all her vet records, so the whole world can see what a piss poor excuse she is for a human being
Karma will get her. I'm certain that is why she had cancer. Karma already kissed her once
I hope she has to pay even more for this crude and low act. I want her children and their friends to look at her with shame and disgrace
I want them to tell her what a piece of crap she is, and I want this to be her legacy
Not that she owned U-Haul but that she was a mean old nasty person that abused and neglected her dogs and sat back and watched them suffer day after day and could have done something about it very easily but refused to spend a few of the billions of dollars that she has to make them comfortable
Help me please do this. For the love of Rottweilers everywhere, make this woman's name a household name and never rent another U-Haul ever again! Rent a truck from budget Instead! Thank you
UPDATE 5/11- Joe Shoen came to my house last night. He has no intentions of doing the right thing
He wanted to take King from my care and take him to his own vet and then return him to their home to live with his dad and two baby brothers that the Shoen's still own
Sylvia has forbid him to pay anything towards his medical bills as long as he is in my care
I received Anonymous phone calls yesterday from people who have been to the Shoen mansion and have seen firsthand the dire situation those dogs are in
They all told me how the dogs are kept in a 20x20 outdoor kennel, with no source of protection from this heat

Since your wife is the boss, and you won't do the right thing without her permission, I suggest you give the puppies and their dad to a different rescue
I would also transfer King to that rescue if you give them a check to pay the medical expenses that he will incur
That way you are making the wifey happy by not giving my vets "one copper penny of the Shoen fortune"
UPDATE 5/10: Glory to the Power of Social Media!! I just got off the phone with Joe Shoen's assistant and she has assured me that the Shoen's are going to make right by King!! He will be coming over tonight to discuss it
They are wanting to take King to their vet and arrange the surgery themselves, however at this point I'm not feeling comfortable with that
How am I to know that he will get the same treatment he has already gotten. Joe's assistant assured me that this is not Joe's character, that he has no knowledge of any of this, and that he would have never let it happen if he did
She said that he is a hands on kind of a guy, and wants to take him back himself so that he can make sure himself that King gets the medical care that he needs
So I am leaving it up for discussion. I just feel like at this point until I hear what he has to say, that I would be throwing him back to the wolves so to speak
But no matter where this conversation leads us tonight, she has given me her word that this will be remedied and it will be done quickly
Update 6/1/18. Uhaul owners Joe and Sylvia Shoen were kind enough to offer up 15
3 million copper pennies ($15,310) yesterday to pay for surgery for not just King Kong but his sister Chanel's hips as well
They have also reimbursed us for the $1300 that was spent on the rest of the puppies to get them healthy and free of parasites
I am very grateful to the Shoen's for taking care of their expenses and getting them the help that they need

Look at poor kings pelvis and hips. They are actually so bad that he is not a good candidate for a total hip replacement
Orthopedic surgeon, Dr Dicson said that if we tried to do a total hip replacement on him, that there would be a high risk that it could go wrong, and if that happened, he could end up loosing a leg
I don't want to take that risk, so he will have an FHO instead. After our experience with Zack's double FHO I won't do a double FHO ever again, so both pups will have one hip done at a time

With hip surgery the goal will be to get them up and walking as soon as possible
If everything goes well, it should not be too horrible to get them through this. Hopefully they will be able to walk outside themselves to relieve themselves
They will need to be separated from other dogs for about a month while they heal
All expenses, including food, a special harness to help them get up, crate, toys, ect
Will be provided for them by us. It will cost you nothing to foster one. You will have first dibs on adopting them should you fall in love during this process
