As a result of the explosion, Lucious has suffered both mental and physical setbacks, and each of the Lyons, as well as his new nurse, Claudia (guest star Demi Moore), and old friend, Eddie Barker (guest star Forest Whitaker), have his/her own interest in his recovery. This is a crossover episode in which Queen Latifah of "Star" drops by.

Equifax Data Leak! Here's What You Can Do NOW to Protect Yourself - Duration: 7:45.

I'm still alive!

Man, it has been a pretty crazy last few weeks.

Survived Hurricane Irma taking a beating to Florida.

Flooding everywhere, half my city was underwater for a while, it was nuts.

But now everything's pretty much back to normal, the sun's out, life's good and

things are looking up.

Alright, breaking news this morning.

Credit reporting company Equifax says personal information of 143 million people has been

compromised -

[pained crying]

Welcome back to another video, and as all the money minions out there know, we talk

personal finance and building a life full of financial freedom here and we keep it as

simple as and real-world as possible.

Ugh.

Equifax.

I'm a little late to the party - I'm sure you've all heard about this by now.

143 million people compromised, names, birthdates, addresses, social security numbers.

Equifax, come on!

I thought we had an understanding.

I've even written you letters in previous videos.

"My dearest, darling Equifax.

I know it's been a while since I last wrote."

"You and I - heh, we always had kind of a love-hate relationship."

'Cause apparently, you have no idea what the heck you are doing.

You don't deserve this fedora!

So people are livid, right?

Heads are rolling, the chief security officer and the CEO just "retired", things are

pretty bad over there.

But none of that matters, because the important part is this - 143 million consumers had their

personal information exposed.

This is serious.

So Equifax went into full damage control mode and set up a site where people could sign

up for a year of free credit monitoring.

Setting aside the fact that 1 year is not even close to enough - ramifications from

this could last well into the next decade - they also hid in the fine print that if

you signed up, you waive your right to join a class-action and agree to arbitration instead.

...a.k.a., you can't sue them for this.

I'm sorry, what?

And only after a huge amount of backlash did they drop it (or quote unquote "clarify")

that the auto opt into arbitration wouldn't apply to this data breach.

Still if you want to sign up for the 1 year of monitoring, I highly recommend you send

a letter certified mail within 30 days, explicitly stating you do not wish to be subject to binding

arbitration.

Aka, it's my data and I'll sue if I want to.

Better safe than sorry.

But yeah, in my opinion, I just say forget all that and not even bother with Equifax's

credit monitoring.

So what can you do?

I'm sure I don't have to tell you that identify theft is no joke and can take years

to try and clear up once it happens.

Let me know down in the comments if you or someone you know has ever been a victim of

identity theft, and how you handled that - also, any tips or tricks that you now use to keep

it from happening again.

Bottom line, take the steps to protect yourself.

I'm going to tell you what you should be doing right now.

Listen up, this one's important.

First thing you need to do is get your credit reports.

Remember, in the 4 Tips on How to Write A Dispute Letter video, which you watched, right?

I already told all the money minions out there how to do this, but in case you missed that

one, you're going to want to go to annualcreditreport.com.

Totally, 100% free to get your credit reports from each of the three bureaus once a year,

or every 4 months if you space them out.

Second thing I'd recommend is signing up for a free monitoring service like CreditKarma

or CreditSesame that allows you to monitory your reports yourself.

CreditSesame lets you pull an update every month, and CreditKarma lets you pull an update

every 7 days, but since it takes about 30 days for any new information to pop up on

your credit report anyway, it's pretty much the same thing.

Both of these services will try to suggest credit cards and other financial products

to you based off of your history.

That's how they make their money, it's fine, you don't gotta get mad, you can just

ignore it.

What you're looking for here is a free way to keep an eye on your credit reports more

frequently than annualcreditreport.com can give to you by itself, because the most frequent

you can keep an eye on that is pulling one bureau's report every 4 months.

Number 3, look into getting identity theft insurance.

It's not too late to look into identity theft protection because of this breach.

This isn't the first data breach and it sure won't be the last, and it's a good

bet to have this stuff in place.

Lots of places offer good plans on identity theft insurance, I know Zander Insurance is

one, off the top of my head.

Now you man say, "eh, identity theft protection is just a ripoff cause if your identity is

stolen, you're protected, the banks refund your money anyway."

That's right, for the most part they do.

But you're missing the point.

If you do lose money, the insurance will reimburse you, of course.

But the main benefit is not having to deal with spending hours and hours, day after day

on the phone or in the banker's office trying to clear this mess up.

Ain't nobody got time for that!

Your time is valuable and identity theft protection is meant to save you from all that hassle.

So it's a good idea to have it in place, believe me.

Number 4, and this is the BIG one: Think about putting a credit freeze in place.

Freezing your credit pretty much locks down your credit report and no new accounts can

be opened on it.

You can still use any open accounts just fine, but you can't create any new ones.

Each of the bureaus you do this with will provide you a security PIN number that you'll

have to provide back to them If you ever want to unfreeze it.

Now, freezing your credit reports is kind of like chopping an onion with a circular

saw.

For some people, it might be a little much.

If you've put in the work and time and saved up the 10% down payment for a house and you

were just about to go for it when this happened, well then, freezing your credit probably isn't

the best choice for you right now.

But it's an option for all of us.

But hey, if you're debt free and plan to stay that way, go ahead and freeze your credit

cause it's not like you're using it anyway.

Once your credit is frozen, that does NOT mean your job is done.

If you still have open credit accounts, you still need to keep a regular eye on those.

Freezing your credit only keeps new accounts from being opened without your say so.

It does not lock down your existing accounts, got it?

Those numbers can still be stolen and used by whoever.

You do have to call each bureau individually to initiate a credit freeze.

All three - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.

Now it does cost a fee to do a freeze, Equifax has waived their fee because they're the

reason we're all in this mess, but Experian and TransUnion do have fees and they vary

by the state you're in.

When you call them up, some of them may try to talk you into "locking" your credit

report for free instead of "freezing" it.

I know TransUnion is one bureau that does this for sure.

What's the difference?

Well a credit lock is free, but it still allows the bureaus to sell your information to companies

for those pre-approved offers you get in the mail sometimes.

But, if you freeze your credit, they can't do anything with it, by law, without your

approval.

If you want to do a freeze to protect yourself, then do a freeze to protect yourself.

Don't let someone on the phone talk you out of it if that's what you want to do.

Look down below in the description, I've got the numbers you need to call for all three

bureaus if you want to do this.

Cause I got your back, fam.

By the way, if you choose to do a credit freeze, the phone numbers are getting slammed right

now, obviously.

Call in the middle of the night if you have to.

You'll get through eventually.

This Equifax data leak is a pretty bad situation nationwide, but hey, if you take the steps

to protect yourself and protect your financial freedom, then we can all breathe a tiny bit

easier.

What is Heaven All About? - Two Minute Message - Duration: 2:01.

- Hey everybody, Daniel Fusco here.

Welcome to today's Two Minute Message.

Today I wanna talk with you about heaven.

What is heaven?

Now, here's the thing you need to realize,

according to the Bible, this life

we're on a journey, a pilgrimage through this,

that this is not our forever home, that's where heaven is.

See now heaven is the place where you and I

are no longer limited by time and space.

It's where God dwells and where we know,

just as we are known.

The book of Psalms says that in heaven

there is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore.

That word fullness literally speaks of a glass

that is so full that everything is pouring out over it.

So when I think of heaven, I realize that I wanna be there,

but for many people, heaven and the idea of heaven,

is off-putting because this is the only life that we know,

and for many people, they're giving up

their ability to experience life on this side for heaven.

Now what I always tell people is that Jesus is interested

in us maximizing our lives,

this life and the next life.

He wants to give us an abundant life now

through the power of the Holy Spirit

and he wants to give us an eternal life in the hereafter.

And we wanna have all of that

because eternity is important.

But what's also beautiful is that

for those of you who have put your faith and trust in Jesus,

and I pray that all of you are doing that,

that all of you are walking with Jesus.

When Jesus places his Holy Spirit in you,

through your faith in him,

you get to be a little slice of heaven here on earth,

that because the spirit of God is changing

and transforming us, now all of the sudden,

we get to experience a little bit of heaven

right here on this side,

until we get to to be there later.

So listen, we wanna respond to this.

What does it look like for you to be a little slice

of heaven for people on this side of earth?

For you to be salt and light,

to show people what heaven is gonna be like,

that you're almost trailer for heaven

in this life right here and right now.

only what we've done for Christ will last

and we want to be able to have people's eyes on heaven

and have a heavenly mindset.

blockchain, in this first episode I will teach you what a blockchain is

blockchain technology was introduced to the public in 2008 by an anonymous group

or individual we're not sure who they are or who it is but they run under the

pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto this group of people were the creators of Bitcoin

I'm pretty sure that many of you have heard of Bitcoin because it's all over

the news but maybe many of you didn't actually

know what Bitcoin was on how it worked so this video is perfect for you all

movies because I'm gonna explain to you the technology behind Bitcoin blockchain

technology functions as an online digital ledger and for those of you who

don't know what a ledger is I'm going to explain it to you a ledger it's a book

where all the transactions are recorded that way we know who owns what and watch

what the ledger it's used in all the economic systems and businesses for

example the government's and banks have a ledger that records homes houses homes

money homes businesses and who owns them something for example the government

knows when you owe them taxes in commercial businesses the ledger records

the amount of money that that business is generating each month and the amount

of money that that business is spending each month and the result of this

receiving money and this spending money is what we call the balance and the

balance tells you if your business is making a

profit or is losing money the ledger is not exclusive for money accountants it

can be used for different economic sectors for example in the restaurant

business imagine you have a pizza restaurant you

need a ledger to record the amount of ingredients that you buy each month for

making the pizzas and you need to record the amount of ingredients you used from

that purchase to make the pizzas and you also need to record the amount of

ingredients that are left over after the pizza making and those left over

ingredients are equal to your balance so it means that if you have an ingredient

balance you will have already as ingredient stock for your next month so

to sum up a blockchain it's an online digital ledger that can

be used in many different ways for many different purposes the benefits of this

ledger is that first it is uncorruptible meaning that the data recorded can't be

changed by anybody nobody is able to change that data they are only able to

update it and this updates are represented with blocks

so these blocks aren't made like every second or every minute there are blocks

made and all these blocks are joined together making a chain that were the

name blocks in games from the fact that the blocks

only can be updated but not change it's really cool because it prevents people

from changing the information in their favor for example if someone declares

they have $1,000 but we can see that in the previous block they only had $100

and that there is no record between the those two block change of that 900

difference we can tell him like hey man you were cheating and you are like

expose of the system because nobody approves that that change on your on

your balance yep so in that way the block change can't be

cheated the other cool thing about the blockchain is that this technology is

decentralized meaning that it is not controlled by any singular entity and

all the information recorded it's public to the community for transparency in the

The basic philosophy behind hygge is to create an atmosphere or environment that is free

of stress.

Hygge is something that you can work towards achieving but in the process do not forget

to stop and enjoy the life.

Winter is the most obvious time of year of hygge but the Danes make it last year round.

HOW MONSANTO GENETICALLY MODIFIES OUR FOOD COMPARED TO WHAT HAPPENS NATURALLY IN NATURE

Are you concerned about Genetically Modified Foods? Here�s (GMOs Revealed) a great documentary

that addresses many of the questions and concerns most people have today.

In March 2014, scientists from Indiana University announced that they had conducted research

to examine the operations of the fruit fly genome �in greater detail than ever before

possible� and had identified �thousands of new genes, transcripts and proteins.�

Their results indicated that the fly�s genome is �far more complex than previously suspected

and suggests that the same will be true of the genomes of other higher organisms.�

Of the approximately 1,500 new genes that were discovered, 536 of them were found within

areas that were previously assumed to be gene-free zones. Furthermore, when the flies were subjected

to stresses, small changes in expression level at thousands of genes occurred, and four newly

modelled genes were expressed altogether differently.

Why is this important? Because it reveals how little we know about this planet and the

organisms dwelling on it, yet also how much we think we know. This kind of hubris is found

within all areas of human knowledge, but particularly when it comes to science.

Another great example that I�ve used before is when the populace first realized that the

Earth wasn�t flat. Another is a statement made by physicist Lord Kelvin, who stated

in 1900 that �there is nothing new to be discovered in physics now. All that remains

is more and more precise measurement.� This assertion was shattered only five years later

when Einstein published his paper on special relativity.

When it comes to our genes, and the genes of other organisms, we really do know next

to nothing. Unfortunately, proponents of the biotech industry (Monsanto, DuPont, Syngenta,

etc.) claim otherwise, and have developed multiple, flawed assumptions that undergird

agricultural bioengineering.

The information presented in this article comes from a variety of different sources,

but my primary sourceis Steven Druker, a public interest attorney and the Executive Director

of the Alliance for Bio-Integrity. He initiated a lawsuit in 1998 that forced the U.S. Food

and Drug (FDA) to release its files on genetically engineered foods, and recently published a

book about it, which has received dozens of rave reviews from the world�s most accredited

scientists in the field. I draw primarily from his book for this article.

�This incisive and insightful book is truly outstanding. Not only is it well reasoned

and scientifically solid, it�s a pleasure to read � and a must-read. Through its masterful

marshalling of facts, it dispels the cloud of disinformation that has misled people into

believing that GE foods have been adequately tested and don�t entail abnormal risk.�

Natural Genetic Modification Versus Human Induced Genetic Modification

Biotech proponents have an unshakable faith in their GE crops, and these corporations

also hold major sway over mainstream media outlets, and close relationships with government

agencies like the FDA. Indeed, several high level industry employees have also held positions

at these institutions. One example is the FDA Deputy Commissioner for Foods, Michael

Taylor, who is also Monsanto�s former Vice President for Public Policy. While at the

FDA, he was instrumental in getting approval for Monsanto�s genetically engineered bovine

growth hormone.

Druker outlines in his book how the commercialization of genetically engineered foods was enabled

by the fraudulent behaviour of these government agencies, and how this actually violates explicit

mandates for federal food safety law. The evidence shows that the �FDA�s falsehoods

have been abundantly supplemented with falsehoods disseminated by eminent scientists and scientific

institutions, and the entire GE food venture.�

This is why it�s so amazing to see so many scientists within the field supporting the

dissemination of truth, and bringing the falsehoods to light. So if you still think this type

of thing is a conspiracy theory, we now have the documents as well as the science, which

stands on its own, to show that something is terribly wrong here.

Joseph Cummins, Ph.D. and Professor Emeritus of Genetics at Western University in London,

Ontario, believes that Druker�s book is a �landmark� and that �it should be

required reading in every university biology course.�

There are several presumptions on which the bioengineering venture was based, and one

of them is that natural breeding is more random and unruly than bioengineering. The standard

argument holds that genetic modification has been occurring for thousands of years, and

what we do now is simply that process sped up and made better.

Key Presumptions on Which the Bioengineering Venture Was Based

Genetic engineering is based on the presumption that the genome is just a linear system, where

the action of a single gene will not impact the action of other genes, or disrupt their

normal function.

In 2007, the New York Times published an article outlining how �the presumption that genes

operate independently has been institutionalized since 1976, when the first biotech company

was founded. In fact, it is the economic and regulatory foundation on which the entire

biotechnology industry is built.�

Basically, genes are viewed as autonomous, adding to the whole without acting holistically

because they don�t express their proteins in a closely coordinated matter. Another assumption

used to justify genetic engineering is that genes aren�t organized in a specific way,

that the sequence in which they occur is meaningless From this point of view, a gene would function

normally if it were relocated to a different chromosome or came from a neighbouring gene.

Quite a big assumption, don�t you think? Giorgio Bernardi, a biologist at the University

of Rome III who specialized in the study of genome evolution, calls this perspective a

�bean-bag view of the genome� because it regards the genes as �randomly distributed.�

Druker explains:

Together, these two assumptions supported the belief that a chunk of recombinant DNA

could be put into a plan�s genome without inducing disturbance � because if the behavior

of the native genes was largely uncoordinated and their arrangement was irrelevant, there

would be no important patterns that could be perturbed by such insertions. Accordingly,

they engendered confidence in the precision of genetic engineering, because they implied

that the outcome of a gene insertion would be exactly what the bioengineers expected.

How could biotech proponents push the idea that the target organism would continue to

function just as it had before, and that the change would be limited to the new trait endowed

by the inserted gene? How can it simply be assumed that this would not alter any of the

organism�s other qualities?

These presumptions still underly genetic engineering today. The example of the fly above serves

well here. In the New York Times article cited earlier, the author noted that �genes appear

to operate in a complex network,� and states that �evidence of a networked genome shatters

the scientific basis for virtually every official risk assessment of today�s commercial biotech

products, from genetically engineered crops to pharmaceuticals.�

Molecular geneticist Michael Antoniou, who testified at New Zealand�s Royal Commission

in 2001, notes that agricultural bioengineering �was based on the understanding of genetics

we had 15 years ago, about genes being isolated little units that work independently of each

other.� He also presented evidence showing that genes actually �work as an integrated

whole of families.�

Despite the grave possibility that these presumptions are indeed wrong, they still form the backbone

of genetic engineering today.

Antoniou himself was even selected to represent multiple nongovernmental organizations to

present precaution reasons to the UK�s GM Review Panel, and a plethora of studies that

clearly justify it. Despite his presentation, and many others�, the 11 other scientists

on the panel, who were biotech proponents, dismissed these studies and continued to argue

that it makes absolutely no difference how genes are arranged.

How can a scientist make such a statement?

What do we have as a result? As Druker says:

Such disregard, denial, or avoidance in regard to the evidence was essential for maintaining

faith in the venture, because its predictability and safety have always relied on the genome

being largely disjointed; and the more the genome instead appears to function as a tightly

coordinated system, the more potentially disruptive and unpredictable are the interventions of

the bioengineers.

Geneticist, activist, and environmentalist David Suzuki weighed in on this very subject

a few years ago in an interview with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC):

By slipping it into our food without our knowledge, without any indication that there are genetically

modified organisms in our food, we are now unwittingly part of a massive experiment.

. . . Essentially, the FDA has said that genetically modified organisms, or food, are basically

not much different from regular food, and so they�ll be treated in the same way. The

problem is this: Geneticists follow the inheritance of genes, in what we call a vertical fashion

. . . [but] what biotechnology allows us to do is to take this organism, and move it,

what we call horizontally, into a totally unrelated species. Now, David Suzuki doesn�t

normally mate with a carrot plant and exchange genes. What biotechnology allows us to do

is to switch genes from one to the other, without regard for the biological constraints.

. . . It�s very very bad science. We assume that the principals governing the inheritance

of genes vertically applies when you move genes laterally or horizontally. There�s

absolutely no reason to make that conclusion.

More Differences

This is a common argument made by GE-food proponents, and commonly used whenever an

expert brings up a challenge to the technology�s safety. For example, David Schubert, PhD,

a molecular biologist and the Head of Cellular Neurobiology at the Salk Institute for Biological

Studies, commented in Nature Biotechnology that there was mounting evidence that the

insertion of even one gene into a cell�s DNA alters the expression patters of genes

throughout the entire cell. He said facts like this one, among many others, �cast

doubt on the soundness of agricultural bioengineering � and entail the conclusion that it �is

not a safe option.� �

Predictably, when a professor and a laboratory director of one of the world�s most prestigious

scientific institutions makes a comment like this, there�s going to be a response. This

time it came in the form of a letter, published by 18 biologists at respected universities

and institutions, stating that Dr. Schubert failed to properly consider �the genetic

realities.� The main reality he allegedly failed to recognize is that the natural method

of plant breeding is inherently more random than bioengineering.

A portion of the letter reads as following:

We do not take issue with Schubert�s basic contention that unintended genetic and metabolic

events can take place. The reality is that �unintentional consequences� are much

more likely to occur in nature than in biotechnology because nature relies on the unintentional

consequences of blind random genetic mutation and rearrangement to produce adaptive phenotypic

results, whereas GM technology employs precise, specific, and rationally designed genetic

modification toward a specific engineering goal.

In his book, Steven Druker offers the following counterargument: �This letter thus reveals

how strongly the GE food venture relies on the presumption that the natural process driving

biological development are intrinsically more disorderly and risk-bearing than the genetic

interventions instigated by the human mind. And it confirms that this belief forms the

ideological bedrock on which the venture rests.�

In fact, a report published in 2004 by the National Academy of Sciences couldn�t uphold

�even the more modest notion that bioengineering and natural breeding pose the same risks.�

The panel that produced the report ranked various modes of plant breeding in terms of

their disposition to produce unintended effects. They were forced to acknowledge that bioengineering

produces far greater effects than pollen-based sexual reproduction. Despite this fact, they

still insisted that this does not mean a difference in risks.

Druker says in response:

Thus, there�s no rational way to reconcile the fact that natural breeding is less disruptive

and more predictable than bioengineering with the claim that it poses equal or greater risk,

which is why the admission in the 2004 report is a rarity � and why biotech proponents

almost always ignore or deny that fact and instead assert that natural breeding is more

disorderly and unpredictable.

Randomness

According to the biotech industry, natural plant breeding could actually result in crops

that are dangerous to human consumption, which is why we should be grateful for genetic engineering.

For example, in the same NAS report mentioned above, they portrayed what are known as �jumping

genes� as more randomly mobile and threatening, but failed to recognize, as Druker points

out, that although these entities do not pose risks within natural pollen based breeding,

when bioengineering is employed they do because that process alone �tends to stir them up

and get them jumping.�

When it comes to sexual reproduction, it�s yet another area where biotech proponents

state that it�s a random phenomenon, despite the fact that we now know that it�s not

random, and that there are multiple factors that can and do influence the genetics of

life. Genetic engineering, be it human induced or naturally occurring, requires a genetic

�rearragnement,� a recombination of DNA. The difference between the artificial way

and the natural way is that the natural way does not disrupt the entire organism, as was

discussed a little earlier in the article and touched upon in the Suzuki quote above.

As Druker explains:

This natural form of recombination occurs during the formation of gametes (the sperm

and egg cells). It includes a step called crossover in which two partner chromosomes

break at corresponding points and then exchange complementary sections of DNA; and every time

a gamete is produced, every set of paired chromosomes engages in it. In this way, all

the chromosomes end up with genes from both parents instead of from only one. However,

all the genes are preserved, as is the sequences in which they�re positioned. The only changes

are in the relationships between aleles. . . . So this natural recombination augments diversity

while maintaining stability. And without it, except for the occasional favorable mutation,

the composition of chromosomes would stay the same from generation to generation, and

genetic diversity would grow at far too sluggish a pace.

He goes on to mention how natural recombination preserves the order of the genes, and is predictable

in the way it cuts DNA. The entire process displays a great deal of order.

Despite this fact, scientists who support GE state, as in, for example, the 2004 NAS

report, that �genetic engineering methods are considered by some to be more precise

than conventional breeding methods because only known and precisely characterized genes

are transferred.� They use the idea that the randomness and unpredictability of natural

engineering make bioengineering safer.

Yet, as Druker so brilliantly captures:

This misleading tactic fixates on the predictability of the plant�s specific agronomic traits;

and it portrays traditional breeding as less predictable than bioengineering because undesired

attributes are often transferred along with the one that is desired. However, those who

employ this ploy don�t acknowledge that if both parents are safe to eat, the unwanted

traits hardly ever pose risk to human health. Rather, they�re undesirable for reasons

irrelevant to risk (such as aesthetic appearance or seed size), and breeders must then perform

back-crossing to eliminate them while retaining the trait they want. However, although the

inclusion of unwanted traits entails more work, it does not increase attendant risks.

Therefore, while breeders can�t fully predict what traits will appear, they can confidently

predict that the resulting plant will be safe to eat.

This is why the GE stance on natural modification is so flawed and misleading.

Druker goes on:

Although it describes the sexual reproduction of food-yielding plants as a messy and risky

affair that involves the transfer of �thousands of unknown genes with unknown function,�

we actually know quite a lot about those genes. And what we know is far more important than

what we don�t know. We know that they�re all where they�re supposed to be, and that

they�re arranged in an orderly fashion. And we know that during the essential process

in which some of them are traded between partnered chromosomes in order to promote the diversity

that strengthens the species, their orderly arrangement is marvelously maintained. Most

important, we know that their functions mesh to form an exquisitely efficient system that

generates and sustains a plant that regularly provides us with wholesome food.

This sharply contrasts with genetic engineering.

As you can see, comparing natural modification to biotech modification is not an easy process,

and this isn�t even the tip of the iceberg. Research shows that it�s not natural modification

that�s more random and risky, but biotech genetic modification:

The inserted cassettes are haphazardly wedged into the cell�s DNA, they create unpredictable

disruptions at the site of insertion, the overall process induces hundreds of mutations

throughout the DNA molecule, the activity of the inserted cassettes can create multiple

imbalances, and the resultant plant cannot be deemed safe without undergoing a battery

of rigorous tests that has yet to be applied to any engineered crop.

What is the easiest way to memorize Scripture? - Duration: 4:12.

- Well, there's a reason everyone struggles

to memorize Scripture, and I am included in that group.

Memorizing is hard,

but the real secret, if there is one, is simply this.

Repetition over time.

I get that from an alumnus of Southern Seminary,

a friend of mine, Pastor Andy Davis,

who has published a little booklet on Scripture memory.

He has memorized 42 books of the Bible.

And he claims that he does not have an exceptional memory.

Now, the first word of encouragement from that is,

he says, "I cannot quote 42 books of the Bible to you."

He doesn't have full recall of 42 books.

Because after he does his process of completing

the memorization of that book, for 100 days afterward,

he repeats it once a day, so 100 times.

And then he moves on to another book.

And once he does that, he stops reviewing

the book he just finished.

And he said once he stops reviewing,

he begins to lose memory of that,

the memory erodes, he no longer has full recall.

And the farther it is down the line,

the less of it he remembers.

Now, he still remembers a lot.

Just because of the effort he's put into it.

So it's encouraging, I think, in some sense that

this guy hasn't permanently retained 42 books of the Bible,

but that's why he says you can do this too.

In summary, in his method,

you start with the first verse of the book, of course.

You read it aloud 10 times.

Then you cover it and try to quote it from memory 10 times,

looking at it as you need to.

Then you're done for day one.

On the second day, you review first.

So you try to recite that first verse 10 times.

By the 10th time, you've usually got it cold.

Then you go to the next verse, and repeat.

You read it aloud 10 times, and then you cover it

and try to recite it 10 times.

Then the third day, you review the first two

by trying to quote them, then you read that third verse

10 times aloud, then you try to quote it 10 times aloud.

You just follow that until you finish the book.

And he spends no more than 15 minutes a day doing that.

Through this method, over years,

he's memorized 42 books of the Bible.

Which, you know what, if you memorize one verse a month,

one verse, that's 12 verses a year,

you're way ahead of almost every Christian.

So, whether you use Dr. Davis' method,

or whether you use one of the popular

Scripture memory apps to help you.

A few years ago I went through the iTunes store

and found every Scripture memory app that was there,

evaluated them, sorted them down to the top four,

and then finally settled on one which

I try to use on a regular basis.

And so, if you want an app like that

that can help you wherever you are,

it has so many ways of reading it to you

if you're in the car, for example.

So, really, where there's a will, there's a way.

The real secret is the desire and the commitment,

and for all of us, it's just repetition over time.

There's no magic way that will just instantly

put it in your mind and permanently keep it there,

that's the way it is for just about everybody.

So find a method that works for you,

stick with it, and you will memorize Scripture.

And whether you memorize entire books of the Bible,

or whether you memorize one verse a month for a year,

the benefits, though, of that,

is well worth the investment of time.

source it's incredibly detailed arguably a much more complex design than what

ended up in the final cut the timing of joiners release of the

concept part it's somewhat peculiar but likely unrelated to any designs that

will be seen in fallen Kingdom Joyner is not known to be working on any art

related to the sequel so it's unlikely that as endo Mimas concept had any

effect on any future artwork for the franchise it's curious that joiners

striking design was so far from the more muted final look of indominus in

jurassic world there could be a fallen kingdom trailer in November but there's

still little known about the new film it remains to be seen whether it will

evolve visually with its new monster

Morning Conversations with Jim Self and Roxane Burnett-How to Attract What You Want - Duration: 12:29.

Over the last couple weeks we've talked about havingness and allowing things to

come to you, and today let's continue that and talk about what gets in the way

of us drawing to us what we want and also a trick, a tool, a technique to

increase the possibility of it coming. Sure. So one of the things where we've

been talking about is this place where you get quiet and everything comes to

you. Now for the most part that's just an interesting concept because 'I'm so much

in motion, I, you don't understand, I have to.' And earlier we talked about the train

at 90 miles an hour and all we're really saying is: just turn right. And there's so

much motion in people's space that it's a real difficult challenge just to turn

right. So this place where everything comes to you,

it's a, I refer to it also as a place where the answer lies where the question

is asked. And what happens is if you get quiet and just simply ask the question

and allow, all of a sudden-- and everybody has this experience occasionally-- it's

like: Oh, I know what I can do. And there it is. But for the most part what people

do in motion is they say, "Oh I really would like to go to the movies on Friday

night," and then immediately move away from where the thought was thought. And

quite often people say, "Oh I would like a new car, I'd like to go on a vacation, oh

I really want to get a new house." And then years go by. On to the next thing.

And they say, "Oh I wanted that but it just really never came to me." Well, no. It,

it could have come to you but you moved. You weren't where you asked and the

answer lies. It's sitting right there for you. Right there, it's simply 'ask and

you shall receive' as they say. The question is asked, the answer comes to

where the question is asked. But we're in this motion. Yeah. So one of

the pieces is: how do you unravel yourself? And again I go back to

Mastering Alchemy-- this isn't about selling Mastering Alchemy but to go back

to, you, you get a set of tools and I watch people get excited. And then they

begin to practice the tools and they realize, the Rose for example, gives them

the ability to define themselves here and everything on the other side of this

point of delineation is Shakespeare's theater to entertain me or to disturb me

depending on how you wish to see it. But when you basically begin to realize: I'm

here and I don't have to be the effect of or engage with what's out in front of

me, you start to get into present time and the only place that things get

created. So when you can begin to recognize: I don't have to go there, I

don't have to be a part of it, I can stand in the middle of it and it passes

me by, the noise, then you're starting to be in a place where you can recognize: I

would like to have for myself. And you have the room to focus your attention on

that thing you want. When you're out there bumping around and going to, your

focus isn't on the single point of attraction. Right and we've talked about

in previous times but time is an application it's not a fixed concept. So

this sense of past and future, past and future. People are constantly in the past

in the future. Very little time is spent in allowing the answer to come to me in

present time. So, but when you can begin to back out of the television back, out

of the noise, start to recognize a huge advantage of this Shift where it is

disruptive. And so you have people focused in fear and in lack and in loss

and in worry, very much over here trying to maintain some level of status

quo. But for the most part nothing's really threatening you in real terms and

if you step over here and begin to ask yourself: "What is it that I'd like now

that things are not flowing in the same river of status quo?" Much more can come to me.

And there's a trick that we used to teach years ago and we haven't really

talked about it for a long time and it's something that we used to call the

mock-up. Mm-hmm. And it's it's a very fun easy tool that,

do you want to talk about it? No, go ahead. Okay so what you do is, is create a

bubble, a space out in front of you and you put the image of the thing you're

wanting to create, a new car, in this bubble and you're staying in the center

of your head in your higher mind behind your rows amused and neutral. Neutral is

really important here. And you make it really fun and you put this car in the

bubble and you really see all the details. You kind of roll around in it

and feel the upholstery and smell it and and just get it all over you in a really

fun, not pressured way. It's not, "Oh it has to come next week." It's, it's just a

playful "Here's the bubble, here's the thing I'm wanting to create." And once you

get it to a place where you're really smiling and enjoying rolling around in

this thing. Then you release it to the universe and not forget about it, but no,

okay, Monday I did that. Maybe on Wednesday you come back in your

meditation space and you bring that bubble down and go, "You know I don't want

red I want green instead." Snd so you roll around in it all again and recreate and

have fun and really get a-- put your emotions into it. Because the emotions is

the fuel that sends it off and then you just watch. And all the times I've done

this, a hundred percent of the time I let it go, I fine-tune it a few times and I

look around my life, and there's that green car. Everywhere I go is the green

car I'm mocking up which is a wonderful validation and then the key is to really

have fun with it with no needing, no needing. Yeah, yeah just allow it, allow it.

Make it a fun experience. Now where I watch people get frustrated

is they want and they believe but-- can they have it? And so it goes

all the way back to this having piece: can I have this? And so in a way, that

part is real valid and it works. There's another aspect of backing out of your

circumstances. It's like, okay here I am and I want this new car. The first thing

that comes up is the "buts". Yeah. But I don't have enough money, but I can't, it

but, all the buts. That's a really good find because you have the tools to clear the

"but" side of your space. Where in my space do I hold this belief that I can't

have a green car? Right. Using the Rose, using the grounding cord and your

meditation space just-- all the tools in Mastering Alchemy are designed to clear out

the buts and to basically open up the flow to allow. And right here though for

the person who's listening it's really, okay I would like this and at the same

time here's the flow of my life. Here's my 90 miles an hour, my train that says

no I can't because, I can't because. Well what if you could? What if you were the

last person on the planet? What if you were just simply naked all by yourself

and all the stores and everything was there for you. Or, it's like the

people who win the lottery. It's like, oh I'm gonna pay off my car, I'm gonna get

this, I'm gonna do this. Okay what are you going to do with the other 7 million dollars?

I don't know because I've never had circumstance that allows me to consider.

What many of us do is we accept our realities and then allow it and then

just continue to progress in it. Status quo. Your ability to change everything,

particularly right now, is really available. So it's a piece of not getting

caught up in: well this is my circumstance. Well what if you change the

circumstance? Well I can't. But what if you could? Well I can't. Well how would it

be possible? Well you don't understand. Count on it-- you'll come up with 50

reasons why you can't until finally it's like, well, what if you could? Yeah. What

would it be like to go on a cruise? So what would it be like if you could do X?

So the real key to all this is: what if I could have that, what if I did do this,

what would it be like? Here's here's another trick when I was, when I was

teaching years ago I taught it at creating abundance class. And one of the

pieces of homework I gave the students for that week is to go to a really,

really expensive restaurant. One, a restaurant that they would never

consider going because it's way too expensive and fancy and,

but to get dressed up and really own this space. Do some energy work to

prepare and you go to this restaurant and you just order dessert. You just

order a cup of coffee. You just-- just to be in the energy of that high

havingness you don't have to spend a lot of money. Right. And when you're in that

restaurant having coffee and a doughnut or whatever you absorb it you step into

it: I can have this. Own it. I'm gonna match this energy. Yeah, own it. Just

simply, you're not spending a lot of money and nobody's going to get upset

with you having dessert and a coffee, so you go in there and, literally get

dressed, go into a real high-end restaurant and sit there and spend four

dollars on a cup of coffee. You'd do that anyways at Starbucks. Go in and whatever it

takes, but then sit there and own it. Be there. Don't be in

a hurry. Get a second cup of coffee. You can simply say, "I'm just gonna have

coffee, I'm waiting for somebody else to come." 20, 30, 40, 50 minutes later you say,

"Well let me have the bill. I'm sorry I guess the other person is not coming." The

restaurant, the waiter, they don't have any, they don't care. So it's a matter of

doing something that pushes your limits that's completely safe, that's very

validating, walk out of the restaurant, just, "Good job, I had a success." Take a

Mercedes Benz for a test drive. Oh, great example. You just simply, you know, dress

decently, go there in certainty, in ownership, and say, "I'm interested in a

new Mercedes could you please tell me about it?" Sit there and talk to the

person about the Mercedes. Can I take a test drive? Go drive the Mercedes.

Sit there, own it, feel it, get all out and say, "Thank you very much I'll get back to

you, I'm gonna think about this." Begin to do things that increase your havingness

but increase your engagement with havingness. And that's the piece that all of a sudden is

like: I can have this, this feels pretty good, I like this, I like myself

today, I had fun today. Stay out of the 'no I can't, I don't deserve, oh my god, what

if? No-- third dimension. Here is the space where you begin to just give little

things to you. It doesn't cost you any money, you go have a good time, walk away.

Own it. Own it. These are the pieces-- this is a really big piece. Simply begin to

start giving to yourself in ways that are comfortable, that are fun. You begin

to interrupt your patterns of 'I can't', the freight train at 90 miles an hour.

Yes, you can. Mm-hmm. Yes, you can. Absolutely can. This is a new world

you're stepping into and these are the baby steps that allow the world to give

to you. So play them well. I think you'll like them. Mm-hmm. Good. Have a good day.

What is forest farming? - Duration: 4:21.

Forest farming to me is growing useful plants of all types whether it be edible, primarily

medicinal in a forest canopy.

So in a forest canopy, you have levels of plants growing.

So for me it's what's on the earth on the lower level - the ephemerals, the things that

grow in shade.

A lot of forest farms have openings for sunlight so we do some of our sun growing plants in

those areas.

Well I think forest farming to me, I've been a forest, as I mentioned earlier, I've been

a forest gardener for years and for me, it's an extension of that.

I haven't had a whole lot of land before to work with, I mean small, very small plots

of land.

So forest farming has, having this piece of property has opened that up for me to larger

stretches of land and it really comes down to growing things that I've played with and

tried over the years and then creating some type of sustainable crop of things that we

then can take to market and use as a source of income.

I think that's important.

So many of our woodland natives have been sacrificed for the sake of money to the detriment

of their survival rate.

So sustainability to me is a big issue.

Well for us forest farming is a way to use the wooded parts of our property in a way

that is more than just growing wood, fiber, or lumber.

It's just a way to use our...our property is sixty to seventy percent wooded and that's

true for a lot of the properties in Floyd county and so if we want to do something besides

lumber or wood production and we want to use our whole property, forest farming is a way

to do that, and it could be growing medicinals, mushrooms, different edibles, crafts, um we

haven't gotten into that but we've definitely gotten into the medicinals and the edibles

in particular.

And we also like the idea of perennial farming as opposed to annual farming.

Yeah, absolutely.

Perennial farming is our approach to the whole property, even the open areas.

My name is John Munsell and I'm the director of the Appalachian Beginning Forest Farming

Coalition and forest farming to me is an Agroforestry practice that focuses on the sustainable and

intentional cultivation of plants and fungi that grow in woodlands and it's co-managed

with the other components of a forestland such that those plants and fungi can be grown

to source existing markets with raw material while also managing for other aspects of a

healthy forest.

So what is typically forest farmed is called a non-timber forest product, or NTFP.

You may have heard that term NTFPs.

That is anything that grows in a forest that has some value, some purpose, some use, that

is not associated with a timber product.

Examples include roots, herbal supplements from a medicinal standpoint, fungi such as

shiitake mushrooms, things that we can eat.

Also things that we use to provide pleasant settings to decorate our tables - vines and

flowers and any other materials that are used to create handicrafts for sale.

So anything drawn from the forest that has a market value or personal value that is not

associated with timber and the focus of forest farming is on the sustainable cultivation

of those NTFPs over time.
