BREAKING: Pelosi Defends Notorious Sex Predator, Look What She Said - Duration: 3:26.

An alleged sexual predator is finding support from one of the Democrats' most prominent

leaders in Congress.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), defended Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), who stands

accused of sexual misconduct against various members of his female staff, according to

The Daily Caller.

Speaking on NBC's "Meet the Press," news anchor Chuck Todd asked Mrs. Pelosi whether

the accused Rep. Conyers should remain "in or out" of Congress.

"We are strengthened by due process.

Just because someone is accused — and was it one accusation?

Is it two?"

Rep. Pelosi replied.

"John Conyers is an icon in our country.

He has done a great deal to protect women — Violence Against Women Act, which the

left — right-wing — is now quoting me as praising him for his work on that, and

he did great work on that."

She continued, saying that she felt that Mr. Conyers will "do the right thing."

The embattled representative stands accused of various sexual harassment allegations,

including firing female staff for refusing to comply with his advances.

Last week, reports came out that one of his former staffers was paid $27,000 in a settlement

payment in exchange for a confidentiality agreement about his behavior.

In her complaint, the former employee said that Rep. Conyers repeatedly asked for sexual

favors and often asked her to join him in his hotel room.

As reported by BuzzFeed, the representative "then told her she needed to 'touch it,'

in reference to his penis, or find him a woman who would meet his sexual demands."

Another employee, Melania Sloan, a lawyer who worked for Mr. Conyers, recounted times

when she would encounter the congressman in his office "walking around in his underwear."

Another staff member, who anonymously filed and then withdrew a lawsuit, claimed that

Mr. Conyers touched her "repeatedly and daily" from May to July in 2016.

Denying all sexual harassment allegations against himself, the Democrat did resign from

his position in the House Judiciary Committee.

"I deny these allegations, many of which were raised by documents reportedly paid for

by a partisan alt-right blogger.

I very much look forward to vindicating myself and my family before the House Committee on

Ethics," Mr. Conyers said.

When asked whether or not she believed the women accusing Mr. Conyers, Mrs. Pelosi said,

"I don't know who they are.

Do you?

They have not come forward."

According to CNN, she added, "that's for the Ethics Committee to review, but I believe

he understands what is at stake here and he will do the right thing."

Nor was Mrs. Pelosi the only left-leaning figure to express her support of the aging

Congressman.

MSNBC news personalities Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski both defended Rep. Conyers,

with the latter saying that despite this scandal, "he is still an icon."

"I would call that an icon and if you're offended by that, if you're offended by

Nancy Pelosi calling a man like that an icon, well let me just say that you remind me an

awful lot of the Bible thumpers I grew up with," she added.

As liberals jump to defend this long-standing Democrat politician, the American people are

becoming ever more disenchanted with the behavior of this once respectable political party.

to be honest,

I couldn't solve that,

because I thought my first semester of English

It was not like that, until the date was over.

I asked them

I told them I want to learn more

about their different idioms,

well, I couldn't get over it,

every day you learn something new.

Now I still don't know how to say straw,

but I do know how to say other words.

There is a little more communication

as you get to know the language.

What lesson did you get from that experience?

after a few days,

they motivated me to go to the school

and learn a little bit more

about the US English

Now I can talk with them,

understand them

and laugh about the daily issues.

The drywall in their home.Now, sometimes their fears are realized and it is mold

actively growing on their drywall and needs to be removed, but in other cases you really don't have to in this short video

I'm gonna show you what does mold look like and does it have to be removed from the drywall and when it can easily be cleaned or

painted over

So let's first examine what drywall looks like when mold is growing on the actual building material as

You can see it's not a pretty sight

active mold growth is usually fuzzy or slimy in appearance and it appears as

irregularly shaped

Spots that can have different colors such as blue green yellow brown

grey black or white now often times

surfaces that are covered in mold begin to rot such as wood if you were to take a rag on this piece of drywall and

Wipe it on there some mold will come off, but most would not completely come off however

you should not try this type of mold may potentially be toxic and should be removed professionally if

Larger than a 10 square foot area which is three by three?

Surface mold will usually appear to look almost like a powder in some cases or may appear in spots

One of the most common areas that they will appear is on the ceiling above the shower

Now this is do the hot water vapor from the shower

Mostly spots can be cleaned right off the surface with something biodegradable like simple green

Now sometimes you may even have some spots that almost look like rust spots

That won't come off this area can generally be painted over with antimicrobial paint

Now in both cases the mold is generally non-toxic and can be cleaned by yourself

So just to recap

Mold that looks like this it should be removed professionally

by a licensed mold remediation and

It can easily be cleaned by you

Hi everyone and welcome to another edition of Homebuyer's School.

Today I'm joined by Jessica McNabb, Area Manager with Brookfield Residential.

And today the question we're gonna answer is -

"What does the typical homebuyer choose to upgrade?"

For sure, so when a homebuyer is coming through our showroom they're looking at

all the different inclusions in the show home, what most people end up going with

are the flooring upgrades.

So they would upgrade to laminate or

hardwood and the tile flooring, and they

would also choose the quartz counter

tops and cabinets to ceiling.

So do you know why those are the key things? The counter tops, the flooring -

why is that?

So those things are the upgrades that encompass the

entire look of the house, it changes the entire look, and it's not a huge upgrade

cost to do so.

Okay, how about colour? Is that kind of an

upgrade - is that an another upgrade as well, or is that something you have to do

kind of outside?

Like the color of the flooring for example?

Well colour of the house.

Most builders will have different colour packages to choose from, so you would

choose one colour that would go over the entirety of the house.

So there wouldn't be an upgrade cost for that, but in terms of baseboards - like if you

wanted the grey baseboards or the grey package, there would be an upgrade cost.

Let's say for some crazy thing I

wanted to paint my house like neon orange but it doesn't match the

colour schemes with the builder. Would I have to do that after the fact,

after I buy it?

You would, yeah.

So with a new build typically all the selections would have to be in place

and it would be built exactly as per the agreement, and then after the fact it's

your home so you can choose your neon colours, for sure.

Is there any - so are all these upgrades included in the mortgage, or

so let's say for example, you know I've got pre-approved this amount and I'm

going- I'm ready to buy my house but then about four months away I said "hey you

know what I want to include these things."

Yeah that's a great questionn so we see

that a lot people, will come through do their agreement with us, then a few

months later like you said, they'll say actually I want to add my deck to the

mortgage. Within certain timelines we can add different upgrades to the home,

it's very important to know that you need to take that document with the

editions and send it to the mortgage brokers so that amount can also be

included in the mortgage.

A lot of times if someone's not aware of that at

the time of closing, that cost that's not included in the mortgage would be a cost

that would have to be cash upfront. So most times the area manager and the sales

rep will make sure it goes to the broker just to manage that piece in case, but

good to know for homebuyers.

Yeah cause just in case you know, I really

want this you know, change my floor and we're so far down the process but there's

still usually is enough time for me to put it all in right? Okay.

And what's the- is there like a cut-off time? Where let's say you can't do

any more upgrades?

Right, there typically is. Most builders would like you to at the time

of the agreement go through the inclusions that you want in your home.

Because there's a build timeline that we need to maintain and to ensure that

everything's efficient and we give you the timeline that we've estimated for

you, to order the flooring, to have all the things maintained for construction

there needs to be a deadline. Typically it would be after the home's been started.

We would select all of the colours, so after it's been dug, and before it's

framed, that's when the selections need to be chosen.

What is an Embargo in Scholarly Publishing? - Duration: 2:50.

Hi there.

I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.

Today I am going to talk about embargoes in academic publishing.

First an embargo, in this usage, is a period of time during which access to academic journal

articles is not allowed by users who have not paid for access or have access through

their institution.

A publisher does this to protect the journal's subscription revenue or member benefit.

This contention, that an embargo period helps protect the business model, is obviously debated

by many.

Surveys have been published that refute this idea.

An embargo period might be a few months or years.

There are two main types: a so called moving wall for a fixed period of time, say 12 months.

This means the restricted access is always 12 months, in this instance, from the current

date.

Another option is a fixed date such as January 1st of that year.

This means that all content prior to that date would require some kind of subscription

or membership to view it, but all older content, after that date, would be freely available

in an open access fashion.

Prior to the end of any embargo period, the title and other bibliographic information

and the abstract would be available to the reader.

This embargo on access to scientific content is not to be confused with news embargoes

that are commonly applied to the content in health-related news regarding upcoming journal

articles, such as in JAMA or the Lancet.

Journalists who commonly receive a press release and or access to the full article must hold

back reporting on it until an agreed upon date.

This agreement, sometimes called the Ingelfinger Rule, allows for research to be done by the

journalist prior to publication.

The decline of Jaguar what happened

Jaguar originally a British company was once the best in luxury vehicle a person can buy

Jaguar is renowned for its outstanding engineering design innovation and performance

But in recent times the brand and image eventually declined and was no longer in the same playing field

competing against modern well-known luxury brand

for example

Mercedes

BMW Porsche Lexus Tesla Infiniti body and so on

Jaguar declined started when Ford acquired the British company in 1989 for 2.38 billion dollars

The main part that started the decline was when Ford started to treat Jaguar like Ford's

Ford managed Jaguar like a typical mass production lines by sharing the basic vehicle

platforms and adding variation to attempt differentiate models

During this time Ford wanted to increase the quantity of Jaguars

Manufactured and decreased the selling price from sixty thousand to forty thousand

However, there is a catch when decreasing the selling price

When you decrease the selling price, you must also sacrifice quality when it comes to production and manufacturing

This is when Ford mistakes began

Ford began using Ford parts in Jaguar for example

Intake manifold gasket wheel stud oil pan gasket

dual climate control valves heater valve AC compressor Ford interior and so on

because of this reason

Jaguar reputation began to suffer when the vehicle was no longer reliable and had major issues in the early stages of the Ford ear

Jaguars the X type in S. Type was hated amongst consumer

First it was extremely unreliable and suffered major electrical

Problems and secondly consumer found the S type to be extremely hideous looking

The X type was manufactured from 2001 to 2009 to compete against hot luxury sedans such as BMW annatee

Ford had an expectation to sell at least

100,000 Jaguar vehicles per year

However that goal was never reached and eventually fell short during the four Terra

During the 40 rat Jaguars from 1989 to 2008

Jaguar designer have received a conflicting management order whether to update Jaguar designed to modern style or stay with the past design from the

1950s and 1960s style in addition due to cost-cutting

Jaguar were often fitted with Ford interior fittings in the interior size received the reduction thus distorting Jaguar interior image

Jaguar interior often looked similar to Ford's interior and ultimately destroying Jaguar heritage in other words

Jaguar was part 4 than part British design however on the other side of the grass

There is always hope in 2008 Tata an Indian based automotive company acquired Jaguar and Land Rover for 2.3 billion dollars

since acquisition Tata saved Jaguar Jaguar received a new stylish looking and sales started to increase in

2016 Jaguar sold a global record of

148 thousand 730 vehicles compared to an average sales of 50000 to 85,000 vehicles sold during the Ford era

The increase in sales was partially due to an increase in Chinese demand for the modern and stylish looking luxurious jaguars

and allow artists to be responding to the world in the way that they really feel like is necessary.

Theater is the lifeblood of a community,

of a culture.

This is a landmark that must always be protected,

and must always be supported.

We need that as a society because we have a lot of illnesses that must be addressed,

and they are addressed through great art,

and they always haven been.

What we do is stand for freedom, for inclusion, for democracy, for all of us being in it together.

It's a whole way of thinking about what matters,

thinking about what is important in a culture.

I don't want to live in a world without The Public Theater.

let's go back here so one thing I wanted to announce is from now to the end of 2017 I'm

gonna be taking a step back and revamping every single course on my website you can

see all the courses here I'm going to be revamping and remaking every single coursing here and

there's courses that I have had planned and haven't completed I have worked on a lot of

the syllabuses though so all of this is my primary focus from here to the end of the

year at the end of the year all of these courses are going to have been updated rerecorded

some of them were recorded in 2016 so everything is going to get redone in these courses including

to be all of these improvements and will also be some written components to all of the lessons

with that some of the names of these courses might change if you're already enrolled in

comments I'm good and I'll try to get to them in a day or two days but it might be a little

bit longer because I have to stay focused on this and also if you're sending me an email

the response times going to be kicked out maybe an extra day or two because I'm focused

on this that's my primary goal and focus is to get this all done and completed and so

if you're in any of these courses are to see them start to be updated over the course of

the December rent remainder of November 2 through to December the end of December to

start seeing videos updated new they're going to be the qualities can be better the information

is going to be that are organized and more current and also a bit of great news here

for the channel it seems like just yesterday I sent an email to everyone saying hey we

just got to 30,000 subscribers thank you well today we will hit 35,000 subscribers and I

think I sent that email it was September 26 so is about two months ago maybe two months

in a couple days ago that we had 30 now or at 35,000 subscribers I couldn't be more grateful

and excited about that in a perfect world will end the year at 40,000 although that

is a little bit of a stretch because we only have about 35 days left in the year and by

my estimations we might get to about 38,000 subscribers by the end of the year but you

know I'd love to have 40,000 subscribers so if you're watching this you not subscribe

nice is if you ask a question here of number one your question might already be answered

now for Monday night we have the Baltimore Houston game and I'm excited

because on my straight up picks that I gave you all I am 12 and 3 straight up I

still can get one more point either good or bad

I am hoping for 13 and 3 and for my against spreads as of right now I am 9

and 6 I'm pretty happy with that and I can also get one more point to make that

10 and 6 and that's double digits so let's hold for that and for my under and

back up I think we're at around 700 for total view count you caught so that sucks because

I went from a you kind of run a hundred plus to 200,000 views and so

many subscribers I changed everything up and I found out there's a lot of people

that just subscribe to me that were not legit people and uh I just kept seeing

everything dropping dropping dropping dropping dropping and I was freaking out

I was freaking out so that's why I have changed everything up but I think now

that we're back to a reasonable number for a newer Channel around the 6

something 628 subscribers right now I'm happy with that you know when you subscribe to me

subscribe to me because you like what we do and you enjoy it and it makes you

laugh or gives you some helpful advice or you

just enjoy watching us do some wacky stuff but thank you all so much and I
