I got Vietnamese coffee as well!

Hey guys, welcome to Rion's TV!!

I am Rion!!

So today I am at Shinimamiya.

Can you guess what it is? that's the Vietnamese Sandwich store,

I finally found.

If you are in Tokyo, you can find it.

But in Osaka, it's kind of hard to find.

Alright, so let's go to check inside the restaurant!!

This is the restaurant called "Banh mi 39".

It is located next to Shinimamiya station in Osaka Japan.

I found this restaurant when I was walking in Shinimamiya.

the outside of the restaurant has traditional Vietnamese look.

The restaurant is young Vietnamese couple who is really nice and friendly.

The restaurant is kind of small, but it is really cozy.

you can eat Vietnamese sandwich with less than 500 Japanese yen.

So this time I ordered pork Vietnamese sandwich which I love.

Alright, so it's ready.

Look at this, Look so good!!

Yeah I miss that, when I was in the States, I really love Vietnamese sandwich.

but, you know, after I came back to Japan, it's kind of hard to find Vietnamese sandwich

restaurant.

and this place the real Vietnamese owner is making a real Vietnamese sandwich.

So it's not a fake one.

And look at that, well maybe some of you guys realized that there is no cilantro.

Because I cannot eat cilantro, you know, a lot of Japanese people can't eat the cilantro,

I believe.

Because of the very strong taste (flavor), but still I love Vietnamese sandwich.

And you know what, also I got Vietnamese coffee as well.

They use condensed milk for the coffee, it's so good.

I love it.

Alright so, let me try it!!

Usually, we don't have this kind of style in Japan.

So, this is so special.

And inside the sandwich, there is pork.

This kind of sandwich, matches with Vietnamese coffee perfectly.

This coffee much sweeter than usual coffee, and I love it.

Yes, you see the pork right there?

This is the one I talked about!!

I think the Vietnamese sandwich has kind of special flavor which Japanese food don't have.

So, of course I love Japanese food, but then sometime you wanna eat some other country's

food as well, right?

I believe there are many Vietnamese people in Osaka.

But some how I couldn't find Vietnamese sandwich much.

So I am so glad to find this restaurant.

And you know what?

Yes, that's the spicy sauce.

So let me try the spicy sauce, it must be good!

I am not sure how spicy it is though.

Let me see.

Well I thought it's spicy as the Sriracha sauce, but it's not that spicy.

But I like it!!

And we have Mayo, wow look at that!!

It really good with Mayo as well.

This is the Vietnamese soy sauce, I am not sure how different it is.

But let me try it.

I love soy sauce.

I believe this soy sauce have kind of fish sauce flavor.

I guess, I am not sure though.

Yeah, I miss that flavor.

This is my last bite.

I am gonna miss you sandwich!!

But it's okay, I can come over here again.

Well, I didn't think I could find Vietnamese sandwich restaurant at Shinimamiya.

I love this restaurant.

So that was so good, and you know what?

You know the owner is so nice.

He gave me this one right here!! which is coconuts juice.

Coconuts juice is not that popular in Japan, so, you know, I haven't drink it for a long time.

I love it!!

Alright so, today pretty much that's it.

I hope you enjoy my video!

"… profit was about 50 dollars which I lost… it fell out of my pocket, on the bus."

"I can help who's next!Hi, what would you like?".

"I began competing on price too much, landed the client but went into the red in the

end."

"Hey, guys!

Have you heard of the mysterious Ukrainian superhero?

He frees our roads from cars with Lithuanian license plates

and our forests from deforestation and export to EU.

We've come to Chernivtsi to learn more about him."

"Excuse me, sir.

Wherecan I find Ozzyman?

I want to talk to him."

"People here contact Ozzyman via the red phone booth."

"Where can I find it?"

"Over there."

"Thanks a lot!"

"How can I find Ozzyman?"

"Ozzyman is busy at the moment.

He is saving the citizens of Chernivtsi from hunger."

"Chernivtsi is my city.

It is our city.

Everyone has their own mission here.

Heroes protect the citizens while the latter keep

doing their job.

Who am I, if by day I fry French friesback to back with my fellows in

the kitchen and by night I fight injustice in a silly red suit?

Our dream is to find our purpose, our calling is to be helpful for

people.

The main thing is, we are one team and I am its Ozzyman."

"Look around.

A co-founder of the Ozzy chain is almost there.

He will fill you in."

"Alek, what is Ozzy about?"

"Ozzy is all about fast food."

Restaurant business owner OZZY FAST FOOD

29 years old 4,500 visitors per day

In a relationship "We could have simply named our company

"OZZY".

And that's what everybody was telling us to do.

But we decided to stand our ground.

On every sign, it says "Fast Food" because you can get a meal quickly.

People think of it as "junk food".

But we don't stop proving that fast food can be

healthy.

At the moment, the chain consists of 2 restaurants and we are about to open

one more, eleven hundred square meters, brand new equipment, it's going to be a

really cool restaurant."

"How many people does Ozzy serve per day?"

"About 3,000 people per day.

That's the total for the two restaurants.

To serve 3,000 people per day in a city with apopulation

of 230,000 people – that's a lot."

"Chernivtsi is like the Pozniaky station in Kyiv."

"Guys, we're excited to have Dmitrii, a Co-Founder of the Ozzy Fast Food chain."

[text] DMITRIY LUKENCHUK

Restaurant BusinessOwner OZZY FAST FOOD

27 years old 3 Ozzy Fast Foodrestaurants

Married "How did we come up with OZZY?

We used to arrange concerts for music artists.

At night, there was now here for us to eat.

Only a few fast food places but the food there would give me heartburn.

How come?!

I amyoung, my stomach should be able to digestnails."

"And we knew for sure that this niche wasn't filled and people needed a high-quality

restaurant."

"At first, we considered buying a franchise.

But there weren't really any decent options that would work for us."

"Why franchising?

You're buying an existing business, they provide training but you

have to pay a certain amount for that.

Well, we had no money…"

"If you can't buy experience, you should earn it.

That's why my partner and I made a decision to apply for a regular job at McDonald's

and KFC."

"Did you work at McDonald's or KFC?"

"KFC.

My partner worked at McDonald's.

Now we'll show you guys a photo where you'll see my partner and me in our uniforms.

My partner is wearing a McDonald's uniform and I'm wearing that of KFC.I bet

no one has such a photo."

"What knowledge did you bring with you from McDonald's to Ozzy?"

"First, it's the absolute, ultimate obsession with hygiene and cleanliness.

What would you do, for instance, with a bottle

of water that fell on the floor?

You would put it back – no harm was done to the water

inside.

But at McDonald's it's a no-no, they would get a broom and dustpan and toss

it.

From that, I learned two things.

First, what's right and second, why McDonald's doesn't do franchising in Ukraine:

there are no guarantees that other entrepreneurs will be doing the same."

"Guys, in search of Ozzyman, I came to Chernivtsi with just one sweater and decided

to buy some clothes.

The locals recommended the Papaya store.

Let's go and check it out."

"Hello, what sweaters do you have?

Let me look at the grey one, a large, please."

"Hello, Valeriy.

My name is Andrey."

"Nice to meet you."

"I really like your store.

Why not we go and talk."

"Sure!" [text]

VALERIY MAKSYMENKO Fashion retail

The owner of PAPAYA clothing brand 26 years old

5000 clients per month Married, has a child

"Valeriy, you're a man and your niche is women's clothing.

How did that come about?"

"Most people, on the inside, are a little lazy and I am not an exception.

The fastest way to make money is "buy low, sell high".

Why clothes?

I have apretty good knowledge of it, I guess. And in addition,

a long time ago my parents had some experience in it."

"Now, tell me about PAPAYA in figures, would you?"

"At the moment, we have 6 stores in Western Ukraine.

So far, we have completely taken over the market in two cities, that's

Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk.We also have a powerful online platformthat can compete

with most retail stores.

Out total shopping capacity is about 700 square meters,

and we have our own manufacturing which is outsourced."

"Tell me the TOP-3 stories from your life that made you stronger."

"One of my mistakes was opening a store in a mall on the second floor.Customer

flow was very, very low; in six months, I barely recouped the investments that were

not a lot in the first place.

I didn't earn anything."

"I have closed the second floor.

Now we have our sales department here.

This is our think tank.

This the second floor.

The ladies here do everything that has to do with

the Internet, marketing, content.

We create photos and designs here; the ladies choose clothes and analyze what is cool and

trendy now."

"People from over 300 cities place orders in the PAPAYA online store.

And this kind of package – what's here?

It's a dress –isfor Svetlana Krasnova in Cherkasy.

Svetlana,that's for you!"

"How did you make your first thousand dollars?"

"I made my first thousand dollars after I started a business which was called

"Clothing store".

It was really called like that, it's not a figure of speech.

It read "Clothing Store" It was… it wasfunnythat

it was 35 square meters next to a grocery market.

My first net profit was around 50 dollars.

My second profit was about 50 dollars, too, which I lost… it just fell

out of my pocket, on the bus.

Yeah, by the way, that was actually like anepic fail to me.So

I lost 50 dollars and during the third month I made a hundred and that's when it

starting getting better.

I earned my first 10,000 dollars when I was 23 or 24 years old,

don't remember exactly but around that time, afterthe launch of the store in

Ivano-Frankivsk."

"This kind of job is not easy actually. You're aware of that because I know for sure

that had all sorts of jobs.

By the way, feel free to remember the past and to work as

a cashier."

"Sure!"

"First and foremost, I guess, these are 10 rules of how to wash your hands and keep

everything clean.

How do you wash your hands?

You have to wash them 40 to 60 seconds.

We are frying fish rolls here, Chick-and burgers here and, obviously, French

fries here.

We can see that tomatoes can be out for two hours.

At 8:25 they will be tossed.

French fries can be in for up to seven minutes, and not more. What happens

in seven minutes, Sergey? We toss them.

We don't compromise on quality.

All the snacksstay… for how long, Alexandr?

Aleksandr?

Sasha is one of our best employees.

I am proud that we work together.

We make money alongside our employees and there's a bonus system depending on our

revenues.

We say, "We're making money, so let's make money together."

A regular employee gets around six or 7 thousand hryvnias a month and a restaurant manager

can make up to $1,000."

"I can help who's next!

Hi, what would you like?"

"I would like cheese sticks, a Coke, and ketchup."

"62 hryvnias."

"Cheese sticks, ketchup and Coke.

Have a niceday!"

"The first restaurantwe opened was about 60 square meters.

It was tiny.

Not even a diner.

"How much did the first restaurant cost?"

"Over a hundred.

Over a hundred thousand".

"Where did you get the money for your first restaurant?"

"I sold my apartment, I also had the same amount in savings and I borrowed money

again and again and again… he said, Aleksey, I am lending you money only because I

have already invested in you."

"Before you begin, you should divide your expected profit by 2 or 3 times and

multiply your expenses by 2.

This way you will get a more or less realistic picture."

"I knew for sure that if I failed, the worst-case scenario would be going back to my

parents' houseand living with them."

"Alek, why did you choose this hobby?"

"A very long time ago – my dad has a lot of guns, he has been a hunter for a long

time – so I was around 10 years oldwhen I came up to my dad.

He rolled down the window of our small car – we had a small

Tavria – and he pressed me close to himself because I wasn't brave or heavy

enough to hold the gun myself.

The only thing I did was aim at a metal can and hit

the trigger.

That was my first shot and I hit the target and I knew that I would be doing

that in the future.

I had a humongous desire to get a gun somewhere and shoot."

"Aleksey and I – did he tell you how we met?

"How did you meet?"

"We were competitors, Aleksey and I were competitors…

We both had our own event companies."

"Chernivtsi is not a big city, so everyone knows each other and the competition, at

the time, was crazy, as we thought."

"We came to a meeting for negotiations, Aleksey didn't know that I came with the

other party."

"We were having a polite conversation, we had known each other for a while

whereas our people who were helping us were arguing, it was getting heated.

We looked at each other and Dmitriy said, "Let's

go outside to talk for a couple of minutes."

So we did and when we came back inside, we were partners."

"Over the 7 years, regardless of the fact that I see him more often than my wife,

every day, there have been no fights or extremely tense situations or anything like

that.

I believe that everything we have now is because of our synergy."

"Dima, what do you like the most about Alek?"

"Absolutely positive attitude to everything that has ever happened to us.

When we hard and really challenging times, he would

say, "Everything will be fine!".

One day we came to a former cigarette store that was

going to become our first restaurant.

It had nothing but walls in it.

We sat down on the floor and I asked him, "Alek, will we

even have enough room here?!".

And he just went, "Absolutely!"And I believed him

right away.

Absolutely positive attitude to any situation."

"Cut!

Cool, guys."

"Marry me!"

*laughter* "This place, I believe, is one of our final

steps in Chernivtsi.

After that, we are going to start spreading our chainthroughout Ukraine. We're

planning to enter the biggest cities.

Just think, the space we started with was 60 square meters and this is exactly

20 times as big.

Since the other option was getting a 1.2-kilometer gas pipe –

downtown, can you imagine?!

– so we had to get two 45 kW heaters.

The deadline is January 14 th by any means.

Whether or not we're making it, we decided to never

miss any deadlines whatsoever."

"How much is invested in the launch?"

"We don't have anyfinal numbers yet, but it is about 600,000 dollars. It will be

even more."

"Our goalisto open 100 restaurantsin Ukrainewithinten years.

That's ten restaurants a year.

It doesn't mean that next year we will open 10 restaurants, and the following

year – 10 more.

It won't be like that.

I know that next year we'll open five or six and

the year after that, we'll open seven and in four years' time we'll be able to open

15…"

"You used decomposition knowing what you will need to do every year and every

month."

[text] Conclusions "So, what did I learn from the stories of

the three successful businessmen from Chernivtsi?

First, you can and should be a self-made man or woman."

"I had 3,000 dollars in front of me which was my grandmother's gift.

The very next day we put them to good use and started selling

things there."

"I sold my apartment, I also had the same amount in savings and I borrowed money

again and again."

"Second: success comes to those who overcome obstacles."

"Since the other option was getting a1.2-kilometergas pipe – downtown, can you

imagine?!

– so we had to get two 45 kW heaters."

"And we also redid the entrance. The problem we faced that day was a 90-

centimeter granite wall.

The worst we could think of was blowing up the whole

thing."

"Be passionate about what you do and doonly the things you're passionate about."

"Three rules about a restaurant – location, location, and location."

"When I wake up and when I go to sleep and when I get in my car, I think about

Ozzy."

"Brand means nothing if your product is crap."

"Cut!"

"Hey, wait!

Almost forgot.

Christmas is around the corner.

Have you bought gifts? [text]

Aleksey Ronis Manufacturing, Tourism Industry

Owns a company that creates candy care packages 28 years old

Turnover: $1,814,000 Married

"Alex, would you please share howyou came up with this business idea?"

"Just like all the other kids receive Christmas gifts, I used to receive gifts for

Christmas too.

And those gifts, apart from other things, had delicious candy, that we

would eat right away, and not-so-good candy, that we would leave for later.

So, I wondered, why not create packages that would

have only the most delicious candy.

I can say that our candy care packages are the most delicious Christmas packages at

the moment.

They consist of the best candy made by the best manufacturers in

Ukraine, we use only the freshest candy.

Our clients usually eat up our candy within the first few days."

"What did youbegin with?"

"It all began with my friends and I wanting to set up this business…

We did everything ourselves.

We wouldput togetherpackages at night and in the morning or

afternoon we would deliver Christmas candy care packages by car.

There were even a few times when we ran out of boxes so we

had to use old cardboard packaging of TV-sets, fridges and deliver our packages

to our clients like that."

"All entrepreneurs make countless mistakes.

Would you please share about the TOP-3 mistakes that made you stronger?"

"Well, I guess the first mistake is pretty common, I hired an employee, showed and

told him about all the business processes.

And you know what happened next?

He left and started his own company.

What can you learn from that?

I would recommend that entrepreneurs or business owners

break their businesses down into puzzle pieces and arrange them in such

a way that no one else could put them together but him."

"Alex, what was the second mistake?"

"The second mistake had to do with me pursuing one major client.

I was 26 and very interested in landing that client.

They wanted 15,000 packages.

I began…"

"Which was…"

"About 1 million hryvnias…

I began competing on price too much, landed the client

but went into the red in the end."

"Cool."

"The lesson is to know the cost of your product, I think that that's essential."

"Could you please share about your third mistake."

"The third mistake had to do with…

Originally,I used to work with Excel.

Then I created an accounting program based on JavaScript.

I decided I had to evolve and ordered software based on 1C.

I ended up ordering it during the peak of the season,

the vendors I used missed the deadlines…

The lesson I learned was, repair the roof when the sun is shining."

"I have been working with my partners for 9 years. They also happen to be my

friends.

We started together and have been together ever since."

"Hey, I don't know about you guys but I will definitely buyChristmas gifts here."

Give something that's like

Pierogies I'm creating crew

Perogies, I would say there's actually good options. There's definitely a lot of options first thing though. It's a breakfast bar Yochai the coffee. I

Like my coffee black black coffee tastes pretty similar very much every go. All right boom guys

Now it's my turn to try the coffee, but you know coffees not the same

All right guys the food has arrived Ryan got his jumbo breakfast pancakes

Some toast he decided to have at my expense some pierogies

For Dave hide your boner. I got a eggs benedict with smoked salmon

I just felt really bad cuz like that salmon was terrible like the salmon was so bad

I think that Eggs Benedict on its own might have been okay, but the salmon was a bad choice on my behalf

So I feel like I'm coloring them worse than they actually are

so after every restaurant

We are going to give you a score out of five and it's gonna be placed on the screen right here

I think it might be known for its breakfast and everything else is shit. I really don't even want to know what it's like

I'm looking at a sign that says $14 for an 8-ounce taking fries, which is amazing cause I'm poor but

the steak looks

Like pork chop, please please. Look at this steak

What's on comet butter so first spotted it wait, what was your rating? I'd give it a three point five three points

Okay, so pretty poor because it was a 4.5 in there

Well, your your boy is feeling extra bus down Tatiana, so it's not hitting my system and I need to sleep. I

Think you say that the first worst review spot was

Okay, I know you're doing that with your motion

It was appropriately reviewed and it is indeed the worst breakfast spot, I've probably been to in my city

Bit and then we're gonna go back out for lunch again students will see you guys that three out of

Eight their stony boys checking in we're headed out for the second meal today lunch. So just want to let you guys know where

Everybody comment down below us we should chop off his man bun or if you venture and release the chopper man buns. I'm stressful

I should like but if you want me to chop stays man bun off

Millionaire, okay, but the second restaurant that we are gonna be going to today is actually a sushi spot

So we're really spicing things up trying some new things

Well, it's not new I've had sushi before but you know, we're not going to just all the same type of restaurant

We're going to you know, we had a breakfast spot now for lunch

It's also not only a lunch but it's also a sushi spot that's pretty poorly rated

So we're gonna see if it's a vibe or not. That's like I think it's gonna be actually really good

Do you boy I don't like sushi

Likes other stuff I do like traditional sushi. That's what it's called Oh like sashimi just a raw like yeah

Yeah, tsunami what tsunamis? Yeah

anyways

Guys, we're headed there right now. We might have a special guest. We might have a special guest making an appearance. Mmm

We're actually we should we're waiting for him. Comment down below who you think it's gonna be in if you're right

I'll get you chef special appearance coming in hot. It's a little finger up. Sorry, it's Charles

Osgood guys, it's just Charles. What up? Yeah

Why this Ryan have a man? I'm the first time Charlie's ever been in the backseat this life. No

Alright so we are headed to the sushi spot and we'll see you guys there for this moment

He said bats

Not fog facts

classic sushi spy

You know hurts a little dark might not be able to see us while we're eating but that's okay

Just to give you a full review a few moments later

Alright guys, so I think what you do is you put the order through this that's right track. It's pretty late

It's like an iPad you can like take all this stuff. So we're gonna put in an order

Maybe it's like you always say so it's about the food not just the experience

They didn't I didn't ask but I like there's some probably some pretty weird stuff. Oh

We can go wild miss to see me. Oh god. I don't know what all that okay, we're gonna try and figure this out

This actually looks good

Let's try what even is this? Oh my god. I ordered this actually falling apart, right? Sure

You're ripping it apart like we can see you doing it. So thank you. The hair is kind of

Those are my fav, I don't really use this

Put soy sauce nothing on

Thank you

See we're polite, okay

All right one for me I'm a spicy crispy salmon roll whenever I think you

All know why I raise the customer service is kind non-existent they just dropped it off their enemy

The foods are four out of five. Yeah, I'd say that's fair

It's not the best fish you ever had, but it's solid no more bugs

Not trying to temp where of that

But huh

Well, they didn't give it

Should be in this right who just got right hiding your rice. Did you just get a thing of rice?

Oh, no guys, you just get that thing. All right

No

Did you just get a thing, right? Yeah, what what?

Now I have to dip this in my soy sauce, yeah, that's it

It's still not bought but they actually kind of played us a bar. It's good

I don't know why they didn't bring the shrimp sauce or what? It's like fish on

fish on

Vibes or a little seafood udon and I'm aged that to see

I have a bite of that space, huh? How about this room? Try it out?

It's any good. Oh you sound

Pretty bad, it's not bother no but my month but real guys the food is acting pretty late now

you did forget a lot of things but I would say that the rating so far isn't warranted because the food is at least a

4 out of 5

Last thing we gotta tried the generals house. The sushi was good all the other little extras were pretty good a little general table

I

Don't think there's any chicken if it's like that

What was that what was that whoa I swear it's like

My move, okay. That was probably the most opening and that here but everything else was good

So we're probably gonna be here for a while. Oh there they actually brought the fish sauce

Okay Babs. How much some more?

Probably tail because I feel that is coming on nicely right now, and I'll see you guys later

All right guys, it is time for our third and final meal of the day

We are going to the worst rated dinner spot in the city

I think it has like a bunch of different stuff to be honest

I've never actually been there before so I have no idea what I'm gonna get but I'm very excited to what finish this day off

Can we hurry up? I'm starving facts where I?

Got to feed the body get those nutrients in there

So you can make those Dean's smash like button again

If you guys want to see me and Brian make a new channel and Charlie about our our fitness journey you guys down

I'm Darryl. Yeah, I'm

Like what if you guys want to see that? We're both going up to the restaurant what I'll get help for my brother Jeff

All right, we're here we're gonna pull in we'll see what they got for us it is

Looks pretty vibes in here. It's nice big spot guys. This space looks pretty nice. I think it's a big big spot

People seem decently nice, but it is empty. So that's

Probably a one is it to person B right now, but it is what it is

Got some drinks right here. All right. I'm excited. I'm a really binary right now

So that might make me give this pot a better rating. Also, we forgot to give a final rating on the sushi spot earlier on

overall rating for

Mark I'll give it a four point one. Yeah, there's a five out of five customerservice isn't zero to seal that

Seems like a four point, but the customer service was non-existent, but only thing I heard was

How many people?

some water

There's no pleases no, thank you. None of that. This is not very Canadian, but it is what it is

The food was big which is what we always say is the most important

I said it was small but like

Penises both still have our jackets on because we can sink like I don't have you and take my coat off. It's real change

It's so pinches look at all the extra seats fiery up here. I reopened please please please

Didn't leave this. I'm starting to understand

Even though the food is Imperials a few moments later. So me and Charlie got the same thing

I'm gonna want to show you guys but I just got put in front of ok

This is the best looking thing at the table. He's 5

Unsought she can pinch their small up

Have you got the safety?

What is this within you look at what is on what is that? What is that?

Oh, you know what eating which were on the ground teams people my god

Nobody has food. They're all looking at us. Like what are you doing?

Sam you order a salmon. This is what they bring you look at the veggies the veggies look steamed

But they look like stock frozen steamed

Stop the bleeding and

He just came along force in sign up for this, holy shit what we need to get out

I don't even know what to say at this point

We're gonna try and just wrap everything up here to get the hello and I'll give you guys an update

All right, folks, we just got back from our lap, okay? No, we didn't just get back this Oh like a day later

I completely forgot to um the outro tell me who was

Very completely different outfit because change

Yeah, but I didn't want to lie to you guys that's something sways that's okay it was look last week

No, it was like two days ago

oh, no, the

But point is we finished the full day off and I'm not gonna lie it was it was pretty miserable, okay?

It was actually I would say the only spot that didn't deserve its rating was the sushi spot

Yeah that place in that famous sushi spot was pretty late. I'm bout to go there today. Yeah, I could be done

I'm actually marv bright now, but the other two spots just didn't really bring it for me now

I did hear that the third spot we want you for dinner was actually normally a pizza spot

so we didn't really do it justice, but the salmon was

Absolutely Dukey and they didn't clearly advertise like hey, we're a pizza spot. They had a boatload of different things on it

Maybe they did. I can really look at my new job

Yeah, there was nobody else in there eating anything so we didn't know what to go for we had nothing to gauge

what the main thing was in the spa and the server didn't I was like by the way our pizzas really delicious or anything like

That so me horrible service

One-star never go there ever ever ever

Like I said, we didn't try the pizzas, so maybe we'll try the pizza some other time and see if that's good

Maybe we didn't give it a fair chance, but my god, the sound wasn't very good. The spot was nice

The service wasn't too bad. It was a little pinched in there. So I'm gonna say that the rating was deserved

It was like a three star is what I think I would get much like a three three and a half

Maybe if you had the pizza it would be up to like a three and a half or four

But what we had our experience was a three so I think that goes to show that sometimes

The rate our right and sometimes they're not you just got to find out for yourself Oh seal you wrapped it all together

Oh Bob's it's like a book middle and start and I'm around for the series the middle and stuff

So he doesn't read too much, but I hope you guys enjoyed the video

if you want to see a part two where we go to only the best and most

Five hundred billion lights and realistic if we get one like we're probably gonna do it actually

No, not one that if we can get twenty thousand likes on this video

I will bring sways actually know that bother you down ways to go guys

Restaurant in our city guys so much like button subscribing for new and toodles as always. Thank you guys so much for watching

Be sure to check out spaces channel and I will catch you next time kudos

Chicago's Best Chicken: Wilde Bar & Restaurant - Duration: 3:07.

Our Compass is pointed north as we head to Lakeview.

And on a cold day like today,

it's a good thing our Jeep has seat warmers.

We're off to Wilde to make the ultimate

comfort food dish to help keep us toasty.

(Irish music)

I say chicken, you say?

- Pot pie

- Yes, see everybody knows, it's the first

thing that comes to mind.

We basically just won Family Feud.

Sandy loves it, she's who sent us here.

What was the inspiration behind the restaurant?

- [Martin] Oscar Wilde, he's one of the most quoted

out of Ireland, you know the library and the books,

and all that kind of just pulled it all together.

- I would describe it like a writer's paradise.

I wanna typewriter, I wouldn't fit in with a laptop here.

I feel like it's classical.

- [Martin] When you walk into a home in Ireland,

- and it's all aboutwalk infood and drinkreland,

and it's all about food and drink

and a warm fireplace and chat.

- The decor is unbelievable, the fireplace in the library.

- I love how nice and dark and cozy it is in all the booths.

- [Martin] It was all about bringing some Irish hospitality

here into Chicago.

- Well while that chicken pot pie cooks,

I might have to cozy up in the corner

with a book and read some.

We have gloved hands, Chef Juan's itching to get

making his chicken pot pie.

How do we start?

- So we would take the skin off.

- How regularly do you eat the skin when you take it off?

- Very often, but it's a lot of fat in there.

Every time you pull it, you eat it.

So now I'm just shredding it

to look like pulled chicken. - You just shredding it

- Seriously, so hot.

- It is.

- Do you have fingerprints anymore?

We pulled our chicken, we got a hot pan.

- Go with the vegetables.

- Alright.

- The chicken, salt, flip it.

- I have two handed flip 'cause I'm not that good.

- [man sfx] Really?

- You can use the tongs.

- Yes, good, yes I can do tongs.

- Add the gravy in there.

- I love gravy, there's never too much gravy.

- Now you put the crust on top

and let's go to the oven.

- And then we wait five minutes.

And that's it?

- That's it.

- Thanks Chef Juan.

(Irish music)

Alright it's the moment we've been waiting for.

I'm very excited, I got a little bit of everything

some potatoes, some carrot.

That gravy.

- Isn't that good?

- Has a nice peppery aftertaste to it

but the chicken is still so juicy.

- My favorite part is the crust, that flaky crust.

Just feels like a blanket wrapped around you, right?

- It's special, the flaky layers, and the taste

is just as good, I can feel the nap coming on.

(snores)

- In Ireland the pub is kind of the center point

of the community, it doesn't get better than that.

- I think it's only appropriate that we close

the episode with an Oscar Wilde quote, don't you? - Mmm hmm.

Love and gluttony justify everything.

Martin, I already love this place

and I think we continue with our gluttony now.

I feel so nice and toasty warm thanks to you guys.

- Thanks for coming in, cheers.

- Cheers!

Country Boy Restaurant | Tennessee Crossroads - Duration: 5:22.

Sometimes a little nostalgia can be the best seasoning

for a meal.

At least that's the case for The Country Boy Restaurant

in Leipers Fork.

As Tammi Arender discovered a couple from out-of-state

saved this iconic restaurant,

much to the delight of many customers.

- [Tammi] The laid back feel of Leipers Fork

is something of legend.

Virtually untouched by the big city

just about 40 minutes northeast of here.

(phone ringing)

- Thanks for calling Country Boy.

- [Tammi] The reliable ring of an old rotary phone

along with the mild roar of a hungry crowd means one thing,

you're in the heart of Leipers Fork

at The Country Boy Restaurant.

(upbeat music)

- [Tom] There's fifth generations here.

So that's why we love this

and we do what we do.

- [Tammi] Country Boy opened in 1968,

serving the locals made from scratch Southern comfort food.

So Tom Fanning and Diana English made it their mission

to bring this place back to the future.

- Diana worked here for five or six years,

she got to know everybody.

And then when it shut down,

it was just, I wouldn't say devastating

but part of the town lost something.

Because there was no place for people

to come for breakfast in the morning,

for lunch and it was something that was missing

and she told me we need to bring it back.

- [Tammi] And so they did.

The establishment had been turned

into a fine dining restaurant by the previous owners

so they had their work cut out for them.

Despite its challenges Diana knew

this placed needed to get back to its roots.

- [Tom] She was afraid that it was gonna turn something

back into what it was and not be what the community needed.

It's worth it.

- That's your great grandfather.

The baby there.

- It is.

I don't know how it got in here.

It's in a few places around here like old timey.

And I think it's just one of the most old

and iconic themed pictures of this area.

- [Tammi] Jacob Crompard is one of those locals.

You can find him at The Country Boy

at least three days a week.

And although you would expect him to say he comes

for the food he says that's actually secondary.

- The waitresses are my therapists.

That's pretty much how I do it.

I come in here and I talk to them every morning.

- [Tammi] There's also some aroma therapy going on.

The smells that come from this kitchen can take you back

to grandma's house.

From homemade pies and fresh cut meat,

to the country fried steak,

buttermilk biscuits and country ham.

- [Tom] When we were starting this place Dave story,

who's become a good friend now,

he came over here and helped us set up our recipes.

And Dave doesn't do anything out of a can.

Everything we do here is fresh and made here.

I mean our collard greens, our green beans,

all our pintos, black-eyed, white beans,

everything here is made from scratch back then.

There's three things that we don't do from scratch

and I'm not gonna tell you.

You have to find out.

It adds just a little bit more you know,

because you're not taking it out of a box

that's frozen or whatever and thrown in a fryer.

Hey you guys from around here?

- Dayton, Ohio.

- It's much more than locals eating here now.

Folks drive in from all over

and just like Jacob it's not just the food

that keeps them coming back.

It's the unique flavor of the decor.

From customer's kids putting their birthday

and new heights on the wall

to the chairs and tables

that are named after loyal locals who have passed on

or even a quilt that's some 130 years old.

It's a recurring theme of yester year.

So each table has something unique on it

and they try and stick with the theme of 1968.

So these Zotz candies,

that's when they actually came on the scene.

And this jar doesn't stay full all of the time.

So whether it's Zotz, rocks or lots of loose change

the mason jars bring

and illuminate another bit of nostalgia.

All of this plus the delicious dishes

that keeps a steady flow of foodies coming through the door,

including some stars from time to time.

- It's a policy here that we do not bother any entertainers,

singers or anybody like that come in here

and then after they've been here a few times

I'll ask them if they'll sign a guitar.

And that's what that is.

We've had Chris Stapleton, Justin Timberlake,

Mac Davis, Reba McEntire.

- [Tammi] From the autographed guitar

to decades old matchboxes,

you never know what you'll find at The Country Boy.

But two things are for sure,

hospitality and home cooking.

And if that doesn't butter your biscuit

I don't know what will.

- [Tom] It's not hard work, it's a lot of hours

but you know when you see like earlier Jacob was in here,

some of the other people you get to know everybody

and you know it's worth it.
