For some days, one thing has been making me excited: what Black Matter in the space is.

When the sun goes down, our universe becomes black with some light sources.

At the same time, if we ask other people what black matter that we see in the night sky

is, 99% of normal people will say that it is just some empty space in the universe.

Let me stop you for a second, as if that space is empty, all the planetary bodies and stars

should collapse.

Maybe you will reply that these bodies are being held up together by gravitational force.

Well, yes, you are right that Star's gravity attracts planets to fall into it.

But, due to continuous revolution around the star, the planet acquires the equilibrium

state and keeps revolving around the star without falling into it.

Well, I am not going to talk about the physics behind the movement of stars and planets.

There is something which is controlling all these stars, planets and galaxies.

Yes, scientists determined some invisible matter which covers all the empty space in

the universe.

They named it "Dark Matter" or, in other words, "Black Matter."

Around 76% of matter in the Universe is Dark Matter.

Yes, this non-observable matter is the reason behind the equilibrium of the Universe.

There is a repulsive energy in the universe, known as Dark Energy which is responsible

for further spaces between the galaxies.

This energy is responsible for the universe's expansion.

In 1920, Edwin Hubble was the first to notice that our universe is bigger than just Milkyway.

Together, Dark Energy and Dark Matter consist 96% of the universe.

For over a decade, researchers in Sudan laboratory have been trying to identify the real proof

of Dark Matter.

Due to cosmic radiations, it's hard to detect the dark matter on the surface of Earth.

So, around 2341 feet beneath the Earth's surface, scientists have made a lab in Sudan to carry

out experiments on finding dark matter particles.

Now, the next is what made the scientists believe in dark matter.

Well, the hunting of dark matter started about a century ago.

An astronomer Fritz Zwicky looked up into the Coma cluster of galaxies and found that

a huge amount of matter was moving in the galaxies.

There was something which was affecting the motion of galaxies in the cluster, and something

was holding matter inside the cluster.

Taking it into consideration, Zwicky declared that an invisible matter is behind this phenomenon.

Vera Rubin, an American astronomer discovered a very strange activity in the galaxies' motion.

She found that if a galaxy is a city, all the cars inside it are stars, and planets

are without any traffic, then all the cars move at a constant speed.

She was one of the first people who actually pointed to the existence of Dark Matter.

Dark Matter existence is simple.

Let me give you a simple example.

You can also try it at home.

Tie a small stone on one of the ends of a string.

Hold another end with your hand and rotate the stone.

You will see the circular motion of the stone.

If I make you and the string invisible, only the stone will be moving.

That's how our galaxies are moving.

This proves the existence of Dark Matter.

Why Do Christians Fight Against Euthanasia Laws? - Duration: 1:39.

The challenge question I was asked recently is this: If going to Heaven is so great, why

do Christians fight against euthanasia laws?

And I would say that's because it's wrong to use an evil means to secure a good end.

You see, although going to Heaven is certainly a good thing, killing an innocent human being

in order to get them there is morally wrong.

So for example, it's wrong to kill an innocent human being in order to harvest their heart

and to put it into someone who needs a new heart to live.

In that case, an evil means is used to achieve a good end, and that's not right to do.

Now of course, my answer to this question presumes a certain definition of euthanasia.

In this case, I'm defining it as the intentional killing of an innocent human being without

their consent because it is believed to end their suffering from a disease or injury.

Now the key point is that the cause of their death is not from the disease or the injury

but by the hand of the doctor or whoever takes their life.

In other words, I'm making a distinction from terminating life support where we take a person

who is brain dead off the machines that keep their body alive.

Based on this definition, euthanasia would be a sin because it entails killing an innocent

human being.

And that's one main reason why Christians fight against euthanasia laws.

Learn German for Beginners A1/A2 #43: Why learn German?

A: My brother is learning German.

B: Really? Why?

Almost the entire world is already babbling English.

In twenty years no one will be speaking German.

A: Germany is the most populated country in Europe.

82 million people live in Germany.

They speak German.

8 million people live in Switzerland, where they also speak German.

Almost 9 million people live in Austria and they speak German, too.

All together there are about 105 million people worldwide who speak German as their native language.

About 15 million people worldwide are learning German as their second language

and those are only the numbers from schools, universities, and the Goethe Institut.

There are more people who are teaching themselves German.

B: Ok. Lots of people speak German. But why is he learning German?

A: Germany is the fourth largest gross domestic product (GDP) in the world.

If you want to do business with Germany, you have to speak German.

B: Pfft. They speak English. Why does he have to speak German?

A: The former chancellor of Germany, Willy Brandt, said

"If I'm selling to you, I speak your language. If I'm buying, then you have to speak German."

B: Nice. Nice. But your brother works for an American company.

Do they really sell that many products in Germany?

A: Americans and American companies bought German products to the tune of almost 118 billion dollars in 2017.

Germans and German companies bought 53 billion dollars worth of American products in 2017.

B: Hmm. Maybe it is worth it to learn German.

Which companies from Germany have branches in the United States?

A: Only the really small ones like Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, T-Mobile, BMW, BASF, Siemens, Bayer, Bosch, Trader Joe's, Aldi,

A little while later.

B: Ok. Ok. There are a few companies on this list that I have heard of,

but how many Americans work at these companies?

A: In 2015 the top 50 German companies employed almost 750,000 Americans.

B: Wow. Maybe I should learn German, too.

A: Umm?!?

Why Do Men Become Distant When They Fall In Love - Duration: 4:23.

Hi ladies!. Have you ever been in a relationship

where you thought things were just going wonderfully and you about to say I love

you or you just said I love you and you are feeling very comfortable in the

relationship and very happy and then all of a sudden the man started to distance

himself? text messages became less frequent, phone calls became less

frequent and time spent together became less and less because he started

spending more time with his buddies now this was a very common occurrence in a

relationship. I actually have so many clients, female clients, that come in and

describe this same exact scenario to me. Now, it's important to understand that

this is a part of male behavior. They go through cycles, alright? Men are taught to

be independent, they could handle things on their own so when they may

start to feel too close to women, too dependent on a woman, for their joy for

their happiness to fill up their free time, they may start to pull away. Now

this is a very subconscious sort of behavior. They don't realize that they're

necessarily doing it, they're not purposely doing it to prove to

themselves that their man. It's subconscious, they start to distance

themselves a bit, just to remind themselves that they can do things on

their own. Unfortunately, as women take that as a big sign of rejection and we

take it personally. It hurts our feelings we think that something must be wrong

with us or the relationship isn't going as well as we thought it was going and

then, the woman does the opposite of what she should do and that is when the man

pulls back, she pushes forward, she becomes more smothering, she wants the

relationship back to where it was, so she tries to move the relationship back to

where it was, to that more intimate level, but the man is still distancing himself. Actually the

more the woman tries to push for the relationship, the man

typically will pull back even more, so ladies, if you're with somebody and

everything is going beautifully, everything is going wonderfully and all

of a sudden, the guy starts to distance himself, just let him, just let him

distance himself. Chances are, he will come back and he'll come back just as

loving as he was before, once he sort of regained his man

strength in his independence. You go do your own thing, you have fun with the

girlfriends that you'd be ignoring for the last couple of weeks, because he's been

spending too much time with that guy you like so much. It's important to know too

that oftentimes when the man comes back, he will come back as if nothing happened,

he'll come back wanting the relationship to be the same exact way that it was

before, at the same intimacy level and this is where women have a problem,

because they're thinking: excuse me? I've barely heard from you for the last

few days or weeks, do you think I'm just gonna hop right back into bed with you

like we were before? I don't think so. But then again the man takes this as a

rejection, because he doesn't understand, What's the problem? Here we got our back

again. I'm back in your life, everything's gonna go great, we're gonna be like we

were. So it's very important to communicate with your partner, tell him

that it hurt your feelings that he hasn't been around for a while, but it's

best not to punish him for it, because again, this is a part of male behavior,

that is somewhat wired into their hard drive. This is from the primitive mind

they're not even aware that they're doing it, when they're doing it and women,

try not to take the distance personaly. It doesn't mean that he doesn't care

about you, it doesn't mean that he doesn't enjoy a relationship or love you.

It just means that he needed some time to remind himself that he is an

independent man once again, but we all know the truth, that behind

every independent man is a wonderful, strong, powerful woman.

Why do phones get so much slower over time? - Planned Obsolescence or tech fact? - Duration: 6:15.

If you have ever owned a smart phone, which is almost a certainty for most people nowadays,

you have probably noticed that they get noticeably slower and less responisve over time.

So, let's take a look at why that is.

At the sound of what I've just said, many people will jump up and shout "planned obsolescence",

but we'll leave that for the end of the video.

Right now, we're going to look at the actual technical reasons for this apparent decrease

in performance.

Let's dig in.

First of all, the hardware in your phone is most likely just as powerful as it was when

you first bought it.

What has changed is the software.

You see, a lot of apps don't actually close when you exit them and instead continue running

in the background.

In this state, they use less RAM and processing power, but they are nonetheless taking up

a percentage of those valuable system resources.

The catch here is that, when you buy your phone, it doesn't come with a lot of apps

installed.

Sure enough, you have the usual youtube, facebook and any other software that your phone carrier

saw fit to put on your device.

However, this is nothing compared to the stuff that most people end up installing on their

phones over time.

And, as with anything, these background processes, while they may start small, can have a pretty

big impact on your phone's performance if you allow them to build up.

But let's assume that you are a knowledgeable and careful phone user who likes to meticulously

manage their installed applications.

This may will still not save you.

Mobile technology is constantly advancing, with faster and faster processors, graphics

chips and phones getting more and more RAM memory and storage space.

This means that newer phones will undoubtedly have superior performace compared to your

1 or 2 year old device.

And, while it may seem that this should in no way affect you, that is not quite true,

because apps on your device and even the operating system (Android or iOS) will keep receiving

updates.

Sadly, those updates are designed with newer and faster phones in mind and might not be

optimised for slightly older and slower decives such as yours.

This means that they might use a bigger percentage of your phone's resources, consequently

not running as efforlessly as before.

One other thing working against you is the actual storage space on your phone.

You see, phones use NAND Flash memory for their storage, which might sound familiar

if you know a thing or two about PC solid state drives.

In fact, your phone's storage bares a lot of similarities to those SSD's, which is

great, because that means that it's really blazing fast.

However, another important thing that you have to keep in mind about SSDs is that, due

to the way that they store data, they tend to get slower and slower the closer they get

to being full.

And, while that may not be that big of an issue for phones with 64 or 128GB of storage,

those stuck with 16GB phones may end up constantly having their storage space almost but not

quite full, thus making their phones feel a lot slower.

So what can you do?

Well, there's a few things.

First of all, if you notice that you have installed apps that you're not using, uninstall

them and don't let them build up.

Secondly, clean your phone every once in a while.

And by that I don't mean taking a vacuum cleaner to it.

What i mean is clearing up your storage space.

Delete the cache memory that has built up, back your photos up to your computer or to

a service such as google photos and then delete them from your phone, remove any files that

are no longer needed or that have been left behind after an app uninstall and so on.

If all else fails, you can just back up your contacts and data and then perform a factory

data reset, which ought to make your phone speedy once more.

And now, here's the thing that everyone thinks is happening but no manufacturers have

admitted to.

Or at least not until recently, but more on that later.

Many people claim that phone manufacturers artificially limit their older phones' performace

through software updates to make people buy their newer products.

And, in a turn of fate that shocked absolutely nobody, this has so far been vehemently denied

by phone manufacturers.

And then Apple pulled an Apple and, after being asked by an online news publication

about their odd slow-downs, admitted to throttling devices with older batteries.

What seems pretty odd is that in december 2017, just over a year after it's release,

they started doing the same to the iPhone 7, with them openly admitting that they were

planning to continue doing this to newer phones as time went on.

At first, this seems very slimy and also quite stupid.

However, there are actual technical reasons behind it.

What may or may not come as a surprise, is that these reasons just make the whole situation

look slimier and more stupid.

Here's what is actually going on: Lithium-Ion batteries degrade over time when it comes

to the peak power that they can supply.

What apple was doing was it was running its phones so close to the battery's power ceiling

in order to be able to claim that they had the fastest phone, that the moment the battery

started wearing down, it could no longer support the phone's power demands.

Therefore, the phone would suffer unexpected shutdowns when the battery failed to deliver

the expected juice to the components.

To avoid this, apple slows down their phones after a while to make them use less power.

The stupid slimy thing about this whole thing is that Apple is advertising and selling their

products as the best and fastest on the market, knowing full well that that is only going

to be true for a few months to a year, because the phone's speeds aren't sustainable

and they would be hammering the performance of the same phone soon enough in order to

make sure that this artificial marketing boost doesn't lead to device malfunctions.

So, big thumbs down to apple for this one and also to any other manufacturers who are

doing it and had enough marketing brains not to disclose it to the full public.

Why Do Other Countries Drive Wrong? | WheelHouse | Donut Media - Duration: 5:59.

We don't care about your metric system, we don't care about your crown, and we sure

as hell don't care about exercise!

(AMERICA INTESIFIES)

Different countries drive on different sides of the road.

The story begins long before any cars, when we were just walking around, like a bunch

of schmucks.

Archaeologists have found paved roads dating back like 6000 years.

But the biggest road network by far, was built by the Romans.

By 200 AD, they pretty much ruled all of europe, including Britain.

And since they built the roads, everyone had to to follow their rules.

We know that most people are right handed, and for most righties, it's much easier to mount

a horse from the left.

And you don't want to do this in traffic, so people would do this on the left hand side

of the road.

Riding on the left also makes it much easier to pull your sword if anyone's coming at

you in an aggressive and dickish way.

Because of Rome, most of Europe traveled on the left for like 1800 years- long after the

Empire had fallen.

But today, most of Europe travels on the right-- and that's because one little dude who wanted

to be a dick.

Napoleon had a Napoleon complex.

His goal was to make the greatest empire ever.

Part of that, to him, was to make everybody drive his way.

he had to get rid of the roman style, and make everybody drive on the right.

And people were like, "alright you already invaded, you won, it's not really a big

deal.

Whatever.

Gotta go home to my wife anyway and she's a real piece of work.

But the one place Napoleon couldn't get to was England.

And as kind of a "screw you" to Napoleon, They made traveling on the left the law

of the land.

Yeah, There was a guideline around in 1773 that suggested they do this, but they made

it official with the Highway Act of 1835.

When the British and French were busy colonizing the heck out of the world, they brought their

customs with them.

And That's why most often if a country was a French Colony like Vietnam or Morocco, they

drive on the right, And if they were a British colony like Australia or India, they drive

on the left.

But there was one British Colony that didn't follow the rules

America was a big frickin' place

And we had to transport a lot of stuff over great distances.

A dinky little horse cart wasn't gonna cut it, we needed some big ol' wagons. Two, four

or even six animal teams were the norm!

So, you got yourself a wagon, where ya gonna sit?

Well, since you're probably right handed, you're gonna sit on the left rear horse,

because that makes it easier to whip all of the animals with your right hand.

And since you're sitting on the left, you're gonna drive on the right to make sure you

don't crash into oncoming traffic.

America starts to drive on the right.

In the mid 1800s we started paving our roads.

We dug deep drainage ditches on each side.

The wagon riders didn't want to risk falling into the ditch, so they started sitting on

the right.

So now They're sitting on the right, while driving on the right.

And when the first cars came along, they didn't think of that any differently.

The first American cars were all right-hand drive!

Even Henry Ford's first car, the Model A, in 1903, had its steering wheel on the right

hand side.

But by the time he designed the Model T, there were enough cars on the road that how close

you were to oncoming traffic was more important than how close you were to the edge of the

road.

on the Model T, he moved the wheel to the left.

Ford sold nearly 15 million Model T's in 18 years, so everyone else started to do it

too.

What about Japan?

They were never a British colony and Napoleon never got that far.

Like the Romans, and for similar reasons, the Japanese historically travelled on the

left.

In the mid 1800s, they needed some railroads.

So They reached out to Great Britain for some help.

It was during this period of modernization that they made it official: Japan would drive

on the left.

Not all countries had such a smooth decision process.

Sweden wasn't aligned with Napoleon during his reign, so they never had to give up the

Roman tradition of travelling on the left.

Not a big deal on horseback, but about 150 years later, 90% of Swedes drove left hand

drive vehicles, in a left driving country.

And this led to an abnormally high amount of head-on collisions.

So in 1967, Sweden had Ho- Hoger- Hogertrafikom- Högertrafikomläggningen, or right hand traffic

diversion day.

All non essential traffic was banned between 1 and 6 AM.

And If you were driving, you had to pull over at 4:50, carefully cross the road, wait a

few minutes and continue driving

People got up to watch this, at 4:50.

As recently as 2009, Samoa switched from the right to the left.

The Samoan government argues that right hand drive vehicles from Australia and New

Zealand would be much cheaper for Samoans to import.

In the days leading up to the switch, anti-switch protesters warned of mass casualties and chaos

but, that didn't happen.

The government declared a three day holiday so nobody drove, and at 6am on the third day,

people lined the streets to witness the CRAZY left side driving.

And everybody was fine.

Dude, if we did that in LA it'd look like a disaster movie starring Dwayne The Rock

Johnson.

And yes I still call him The Rock.

I still smell what The Rock is cookin' by the way!

So that's why we drive WHERE we drive.

And it really has very little to do with cars.

It's a combination of a lot things: timing, convenience, or someone wanting to leave a

legacy.

And In America, it's because we're really really big.

Thanks for watching WheelHouse, remember to like, comment, share and subscribe.

If you like left hand drive cars we talk about a ton of them on Up to Speed, uh the AE86,

Integra Type R, that's my personal favorite.

Left or Right?

Are you a mailman?

Do you have a right hand drive car?

That must be kind of weird, tell us about that!

Why Do Dogs Eat Grass? - Duration: 2:05.

Hello!

Welcome to Pet Circle.

Have you ever wondered why dogs eat grass?

Studies show that almost 80% of dogs have dabbled in this green cuisine.

But last time I checked, dogs aren't cows...

So what on earth makes them do it?

There's no universal answer for why dogs eat grass.

But we can speculate a few reasons.

Number 1. Nausea

One common belief is that dogs eat grass when

they feel sick, to self-induce vomiting.

However, a study done in 2008 found that only 22% of dogs actually vomited after consumption.

Another thought is that the dogs might actually do it not as a way of making themselves sick,

but as a way of curbing the nausea -

much like people chewing on crackers when they feel queasy.

Number 2.

Nutritional Deficiencies

Dogs are omnivores who require a mix of meat

and vegetables,

and if your dog isn't getting enough fibre in their diet,

they may turn to eating grass.

A study in 2007 with a grass-addicted poodle, found that when he was swapped to a high fibre diet,

the grass eating stopped.

You can increase fibre by adding pumpkin to their diet, or by swapping to a high fibre

pet food - like one of these

Number 3.

Stress or Anxiety

If your dog is anxious, eating grass might

be an attempt at relieving their stress -

similar to humans biting their nails.

Check out our site for some helpful tips on managing stress and anxiety for your dog.

Number 4. They like the taste

Your dog might simply like the taste of the grass,

or something on the grass such as a fertliser.

When treating your lawn, its always best to restrict your dog's access as best you can.

If you're not sure about whether the fertiliser is safe, have a chat to your vet.

The final reason is boredom.

We all have our own unique ways of curbing boredom, and for some dogs,

that's just chewing on grass.

This is often the cause of grass eating in puppies, who require a lot of mental stimulation.

The best way to stop boredom is with regular exercise, and by providing plenty of playtime.

Have a wide variety of toys available,

particularly interactive toys that your dog can use when home alone.

Thanks for watching guys, hopefully that uncovers the mystery of why dogs like eating grass.

R&R with ONE 2 ONE - E.18 - Why Restart - Duration: 1:37.

Hi, I'm Rachel.

I'm Robert.

And you're watching R&R with ONE 2 ONE.

In today's episode, we're going to be talking about turning off your computer or

restarting your computer.

That's right.

So, when you use your computer or any electronic device, it stores information in a memory

bank and we call that a cache.

That's right and that goes for your applications too.

So, any time you open a program on your phone or your system it's going to be using a

certain amount of memory that your system had and the more you open, the less memory

you're going to have in general.

So, sometimes that's actually why your system can start running slowly because you're

using so much memory trying to run all these different applications.

And the problem with that too is even if you close down the application it doesn't restore

that memory in your device.

It actually saves a little bit of that so that you can access that particular application

faster the next time.

That's right, and that's one of the reasons why, you know, the first thing we usually

recommend when you have problems with a device, be it a computer, or anything, is "Have

you restarted it?"

Because by restarting it and releasing that memory back into the system, then the next

time you start up again you're going to have it available.

So, whatever problems that might be happening to you, you might end up fixing it, just by

restarting the system.

Yep.

Well that's what we have for you today, thanks for watching R&R with ONE 2 ONE.

Stay Curious!
