Make Money with Photography Marketing BLOGGING - Duration: 7:23.

It is great to have website up with online gallery, biography and contact, but

it is not enough in today's rapidly growing group of photographers. What are

we going to be talking about today? It's money Monday, marketing for photographers

episode no.5.

My name is Zdenka Darula. I work as a photographer for many, many, many years.

I'm a former model and few other things. What marketing companies highly suggest

to do in 2019 is blogging. It's been around for a long time. It's been very

popular in past years. It will be popular again this year and in many years to

come. I can already see some of you clenching teeth right now. I do that

sometimes too, because you might be thinking. Great, well I don't have a time

to do this. Now, I don't even know what to write. I don't

even know what to post there. It is just gonna take too much time. Well, there is a

strong reason you should be doing this, so just listen up. My own website is

www.zdenkadarula.com it has been set up as a blog and I have been posting blogs for

a number of years I think about the 10 by now.

And I have to say, I get so upset at myself if I don't post anything new for

a while. Why? Because I feel right away that I'm getting less contacts from new

people from new potential clients. They cannot find me organically as much

anymore, so yeah. It's very important to have the blog going. It's very important

to post often. It will affect the way people find you in Google and any other

search engines. Here is why blogging is so important, and if you haven't started

yet, you need to change that this year pronto. When I visit a very basic website.

You know, just homepage, online portfolio, about Us section and contact and I visit

the same website after a long time. You know maybe in a few weeks few months

half a year. And I see that nothing has changed, my reaction right away is. Is

this person still in business? What's going on?

Is he still even doing photography? It kind of looks like they made the website,

it's just hanging there, it kind of looks dead to me. On the other side, if I was at

a website which has lots of going on, It may be set up as a blog. There's

current offers and deals, some coupons and I see some recent dates, I have right

away more trust to that person. I know right away that if I email them, I will

most likely get a response back. Blogging gives you credibility, it shows that you

are working and that you are busy. You remind yourself that you are here and available.

And if you blog often, people will understand it as you are high in demand.

Let's look at the CEO or search engine optimization. It's pretty difficult to

show up in a first page of Google. It's very difficult for new websites. It is very

difficult for existing websites as well. Blogging will allow you to rank those

very long keywords really well. It is a permanent content online, which will

bring you new visitors and potentially new clients you guys want. Here's a great

example from my own experience I created a blog post about The Old Mill wedding

in Toronto. Old Mill as a venue where is happening a lot of weddings. It's a very

well-known venue in Toronto so obviously I did a little bit of writing about it I

posted a few photos and I made sure I'm using the keyword "The Old Mill wedding

in Toronto". Now over the years I got contacted by many, many people, getting

married at The Old Mill and they specifically told me, that they found my

website I found my content through this particular post. Blogging will help you to

get a little bit closer to your audience. They will see you a little bit more in a

personal way. They will get to know your personality and as we all know, people

prefer to work with people, rather than business. So more personal approach is

way better than business approach. Some of your clients will really love the

fact that you will post their photos on your website. They will feel special and

appreciated and there is a very good chance that

they will share it on social media as well. If you are going to include your

clients photos on your website, common sense... have a permission from those

or that client. Make sure you have a model release signed. What happened to me

in the past, I did photo shoot of a client. I had them sign a very large

model release, which is also part of the contract. Down the road, a few years later

I got a very nasty email asking me to remove all the images from my online

portfolio and other online portfolios which were part of my marketing system. I

pulled out the copy of contract, send it to them and obviously problem solved.

Other clients might refuse to be on your website and it is totally okay. A lot of

people are very private and you should respect that. You don't need to have

every single client of yours in your portfolio. You will be shooting down the

road, you will be shooting many, many years and you will be able to build the

portfolio anyways. Building trust with your clients will bring you a lot of

referrals in the future. I learned one thing, that every time I got that very

difficult, very picky client and if I did my job very well. I listen to the client

very well, I shot good photos which they really liked, I always got the most

referrals. I don't know it always worked for me that way. In your blog posts don't

be afraid to mention another vendors. They might give you referral in the

future. There's actually a higher chance to get a referral from them if you show

a little bit appreciation and if you give them credit. If you snap few extra

photos of those vendors maybe as they are working or behind the scenes and you

will give them the photos, there is a good chance they will post it on their

social media, on their website and they will credit you, which means more traffic

to your website. Bottom line, blogging is very important

on your website. Don't postpone it any longer. If you liked today's video

like Home Depot to get you know gardening tools or go to Best Buy to buy

here and it says basically recently viewed items that I was looking at this

you know you got your drones you got your cameras you know 100 hours a day

depending on how you know awesome the camera is is a really high-end is it

lower end whatever the case may be you rent it according to the quality of the

product that you're actually letting people use now

and very plausible and I'll show you that a lot of people actually made that

kind of money very soon I'm gonna show you that now see it says average fifty

dollars a week now out of all the thousands of people that use this

website on a weekly basis this is what they make on average fifty dollars a

week which is actually pretty respectable no I mean you got to keep in

mind you can make a lot more money doing this a week but it does take some effort

because you got to post things on here you got to be very detailed you gotta

take a lot of pictures you gotta take a lot of video there are some interactions

with people it does take effort okay you're not you know in a box where

you're doing this all by yourself you do have to interact with people and you

have to post a lot of things there in order to have success what I like about

this website - your items are protected now with that being said did some

digging on to this now let's just say you're someone who's lending things out

to people okay and this is you know your camera your you know garden tool over

the case maybe they're not going to reimburse you if there's a scratch or

ding on something they're just not going to do it but if they're basically saying

if it affects the quality or the ability for the equipment that you rent it out

to do the job it's supposed to do after you received it back from the person you

rented it out to then they will reimburse you up to $30,000 whatever the

value of the equipment is worth which is really phenomenal because the other

website I showed you which I'll leave a card up here in the video for you that

you can actually go back and look at that at that website as well but this

one here I actually just like it more just for that simple and plain reason

alone when the truth of the matter is I looked at this and honestly it does only

take a minute now the thing you have to keep in mind it takes a minute to set it

up but when you're doing these things you want it like provide as many

photographs as possible not only for the customer but you want to do it for

yourself so if there's any disputes or issues that come up as far as something

getting damaged where it doesn't work you can actually show the pictures in

your profile or in your account of the item that was rented out and the quality

that it was at and I would actually encourage you to go a little bit farther

than that if you're gonna rent out cameras or anything like that or

anything that's valuable to you I would actually take a video of that item

actually already working before you rent it out because they will look at the

time stamp and if it was working before you rented

it out that's another level of proof you'll have in order to get reimbursed

of it with anything that actually gets damaged and it doesn't happen that often

honestly after looking through this site it really doesn't but there's always

that slim chance that it does and you want to have you know your all your you

know you know t's crossed in your eyes data as they say here's a couple more

items that are just renting looking now seeing the quality of this Camrys in

that isn't as high as some of the others we saw up at the top of the page but

nine dollars a day ten dollars a day but it's free money you're letting

someone use something and you don't use anymore and you're just making free

money electric bikes you know scooters you know speakers one hundred sixty

dollars a day that's a nice one right projection screen thirty nine dollars a

day LED party light packages sixty dollars a day phenomenal stuff guys let

me look at the drones they have for sale fifty or four rental fifty dollars today

35 dollars a day depending on the quality of the drone here's actually

some of the top dogs let's go to the dealer leaderboard page and here we go

here look at this guy joined May 2018 not that long ago and he's already made

nine thousand one hundred forty one dollars now this guy is working his tail

off probably putting everything in anything he he has that he owns and he's

willing to run up there but he's probably posting every day he's probably

interacting every day he's putting tons of pictures up may possibly videos as

well but the guy's definitely a hustler you could tell and you can make some

serious cash doing this and this is obvious right there

now at the lower end of the of the leaderboard you're talking about the

lowest one sixteen forty six and this guy joined a person joined April 2017

this is actually pretty good money right guys really good money look at that nine

thousand one hundred forty one dollars he joined May of 2018 Wow

so I mean guys I mean the opportunity is there now let's browse now what you want

to do here is after you go here and look at the leaderboard I'll put all the

we got another than $35 day you know people who are just looking for drum

sets to rent them out he's using for a week or a gig they have they just need a

you know you know drum set for the day or whatever the case may be maybe they

used to play drums and now someone call them can you do this drum thing but you

got to bring your own drums you say oh I don't have the drum set right now so I'm

gonna go on this website I'm gonna rent this up this guy for 35 bucks for a $400

job hey it's money well spent for him right and plus you're making out money

making you know whatever it is $35 a day in this case and in this case getting

this really high-tech professional you'd make $150 a day if you own a drum set

but you guys get the point right so they pick it up they bring it back you check

for damages if there's any damages basically they would reimburse you for

you'd have to prove it like I said they're not gonna cover you for

scratches and dings and that kind of stuff they're just not going to do it to

list an item basically step 1 give your name item add some photos you go to next

and you you know you do a bunch of other details basically you know what you want

to rent it out for the location area and that sort of thing it's really really

simple stuff I mean filling this kind of stuff out does not take that long

probably the longest thing that will take you to do is taking the photos of

whatever it is you want to actually have them have rented out and I said I would

recommend that you actually take a video but actually working and using it as

well just for your own records in case something ever happens how long when

does lenders get paid key within 24 hours of the start of the day of the

rent oh this is normally hits your account about three to four working days

after the start date of the rental so if someone rents something out on Monday

probably by Thursday or Friday normal working business days you'll see

whatever money has coming to you at that point so that's actually not bad now

they use secure payment provider stripe I never heard of stripe before but I'm

assuming it's something like PayPal something that's very kind of rare you

don't see PayPal in here but this is actually US and UK based so keep that in

mind I don't think you do this anywhere else around the world I think it's just

for the United States and the United kingdom and that's pretty much it folks

and I mean here's a little bit more details about the guaranteed fa Q's and

a gig goes into a lot more detail but there's really not that much more detail

I basically told you the details of that but I would look into it if you're

seriously looking into get into this but guys listen that's all I have for you

today I hope this helped you out this is a good way for you to make some solid

good part-time money with very little effort involved I mean how would you

like to just set something up you know you could probably in 30 minutes you

could probably in theory setup you to anywhere between two to three of these

things then just have money coming in when you have someone come pick it up at

your house or the case maybe you wanted you know go to that house whatever the

case is nine times out of ten I would probably have them come to my house and

pick it up since they're the ones you know renting it off of me and from that

point forward there you're just making money off of it I mean that's really

awesome money and if at some point in time does not work and the functionality

of it does fail you let these guys know you show them the proof you get

reimbursed so you're really not going to lose but I think this is a really good

opportunity for those if you have a lot of stuff laying around the house is just

kind of sitting there not making any money and it can be so it's just

again and welcome to today's master class in this master class today we're

talking about how to make money online and I've got a lot of things prepared

for you hoping that you're really going to enjoy today's video so I'm going to

be talking about passive money machines today I'm gonna walk you through exactly

what that means but in essence this is different to trading time for dollars

I'm a big fan of passive income online that's what I've been working on for

several years now and I'm gonna share with you my three best types of these

passive money machines we're gonna go through each one one by

one so stick with me and I hope that you like and implement at least one of these

or maybe even all three of them so first of all let's just talk about why passive

money machines so in essence I'm a big believer in

passive income you might have a day job right now like I did for a long time I

worked in a corporate world and I wanted to start to work online to be my own

boss have my own online business that's why I got into internet marketing and I

believe that most people who want to switch from working a full-time job they

do it because they want to get more freedom right you don't want to get

another job so to speak working online so for example you can be a website

designer and you can work online but you will still be trading your money for

dollars you can only make a limited amount of money in a limited amount of

time you might only work eight you know nine hours a day you'd be crazy to work

like 12 or 16 hour days every single day online it's just not worth it so

save money machines that I'm gonna show you in just a moment how to build youth

for them you can get paid while you sleep so once you've done the work you

actually get paid forever once you do that initial setup work

the other cool thing is that you can take time off and you're still getting

paid so for example I took a month off over December in January a total of a

month of and all of these passive money machines that I set up they still

continue making me money all the time and lastly of course the more machines

you make the more money you can make so you can't scale your own time for

example if you're working as a web designer you might make you know fifty

bucks an hour and if you work eight hours a day that's $400 for you but you

can't really scale beyond that you know so even if you are making money online

so to speak you can't really reach beyond this $400 a day with money

machines because they're passive I'm gonna set show you how I set those up

myself because they're passive you can set up as many as you like and then just

continue watching like growing them and you know they'll continue working for

you so with that out of the way let's talk about money machine type-1 so

mining machine type one is Pinterest plus Adsense and let me show you some of

the results that I'm getting with that set up of this money machine all right

so I'm here on one of my websites I'm here on the travel crock comm website I

run several online blogs and different issues obviously travel crock is in the

travel niche and the way that I make money with the travel crock website is

from people coming to my website and then clicking these ads you can see that

if they come to my site right they can click any of these articles they can

look at these articles and if they click any of these sponsored links here all

right so I've got ads at the very top I've got ads in the sidebar and now I've

got ads further down on the page as soon as somebody clicks on one of those ads I

get paid an amount of money now to give you an idea on the sort of money that

you can make I'm gonna jump into my Google Adsense account and I'm gonna

show you some of these how much sounds just some of these pages actually

right so I'm here inside my Google Adsense account I'm gonna have to black

out some of the stats because Google don't actually like you showing how much

he can make per page view and so on so what you will see here what I will leave

is the some of the URLs of these sites and also the estimated earnings okay so

you can see that for example the top one which is Beth best survey apps to make

money all right this one here that's hustle dot-com best so my apps to make

money this one has made me 204 dollars that's just from one page now also

Google actually you know you have to set up tracking separately for each single

URL I haven't done it for all of the URLs or all of my websites I only did it

for some of the first articles that I set up and then I just said whatever

whatever I make is fine so not all of the URL or like specific page tracking

here is set up but for the ones that I did you can see the amounts that I've

made so let's just kind of walk through what I'm doing with his best survey apps

to make money okay this article here so you can see I've made two hundred and

four dollars from it now this is what the article looks on my dad's hostel

website so it's that's hassle comb you can see the URL here whenever someone

lands on this page alright just like with the travel crop website I've got

ads set up so if someone clicks on one of these ads I make money that's how I

made these two hundred and four dollars so the missing kind of component here is

getting traffic to this page right because as you can imagine if you can

just send a lot of traffic to this page you can make a lot of money the more

traffic you send the more money you make make sense right

the way that I get traffic to this particular page and kind of as we

discussed here right this money machine is interest plus Adsense Adsense is the

name for Google ads for these ads that I'm showing in my site and the way that

I'm getting traffic is from Pinterest so this is a Pinterest pin I've just

recently put out a video very detailed video on Pinterest traffic so you can

check that out if you want they should be a card here I'll put a card that you

can use to check out that video as well but basically this is an example of a

pin image that are placed on Pinterest and I distribute it across Pinterest

automatically a lot of different ways and whenever someone actually clicks on

this pin like this they'll land on my site okay so the more times I distribute

these pins I've got a 1020 probably around 20 copies of this pin they're all

getting clicks all the time and people land on this page as soon as someone

clicks and they land here the land on these they click on these ads I get paid

an amount of money that's literally as simple as that all you need to do is

just create these pins distribute them on Pinterest and you can start making

money okay so it's 100% newbie friendly because you don't actually need to sell

anything you don't need anyone to buy anything you just get paid for people

clicking stuff on your websites so super super simple to get started with it's

extremely newbie friendly it's probably the simplest way you can possibly make

money online now if you are unsure how to actually go about getting traffic

from Pinterest and getting them to click your pins and everything else then make

sure that you grab the Pinterest traffic course in the description below it's

100% free and you can access it and it'll walk you through step by step

setup of exactly how you can get traffic from Pinterest and how you can monetize

it and so on so now let's move on to the strategy number two or money

machine-type number two which is Pinterest plus affiliate marketing so

once again it's one of those things that basically you can set up these money

pages and these pins and you can just continue growing them getting more and

more traffic setting up more of them and making more and more money so first of

all I want to show you an example of what a money machine which is Pinterest

plus affiliate marketing actually looks like and I'm going to show you some of

the examples of the earnings that I've had as well alright so I'm here on my

that's hustle website again and this is another page that I drive traffic

different Pinterest that makes me commissions so these pages that's hustle

calm wire switch decide ground so this particular page is dedicated to my

review and my opinion on safe ground hosting which i think is the best

hosting out there that's where I host all of my sites are highly

in them and I read an article it took me about one hour to write an article about

my experience and the reasons why I switched decide grand hosting so I said

it's amazing customer service and so on and each of these little links here that

you see is actually an affiliate link okay so if someone reads my article and

they really like and they think that they want to switch this around Hosting

then they can click one of those links and it will take them to the page where

they can sign up for SiteGround hosting now because this link is a special link

it will attribute any sale that is made for that link to me all right so I'm

gonna fill it for side ground and if someone ends up signing up for side

ground hosting through after clicking my link then I get paid a very very nice

commission now here I am inside myself ground side ground users area again I'm

gonna have to hide the couple of things here because I don't want to give away

sort of my trade secret so to speak in terms of the campaigns that I run but

the as you can see here I had really good months in November December and in

January I've had a sale so far as well and the Commission's are really good

right it's like 75 dollars fifty dollars per sale depending on your levels of

sell in every particular month and the way that I get the traffic to this page

to this money page like to this money machine is once again through Pinterest

so I created a pin image that actually looks very similar to these eight

reasons why I switch my blog hosting side round and I distributed

automatically to a lot of kind of boards and communities etc on Pinterest and I'm

getting a lot of clicks and I'm getting a lot of signups from just from that

and once you've automated the traffic to it you can just create more and more and

more of these and even if each one is only making you you know fifty dollars a

month or $10 a month or $100 a month imagine what you can do if you scale

this up more and more so with that said let's move on to money machine type

three big reveal here so my name is Shane type three is YouTube Plus YouTube

ads now I know that possibly a lot of you are saying I don't want to do

YouTube I don't want to be on camera and you know what that's completely fine

because I've just shown you the other two types of machines that you can

implement if you are absolutely terrified of being on video and I was

very very scared of being on video as well it's kind of weird you know I'm

sitting here in my room talking to myself and I know that this video is

probably gonna get seen by thousands maybe tens of thousands of people

eventually so it is pretty scary I you know it's it's scary to do YouTube

videos but the thing with pretty much any business and especially online

business is that there are things that work really well and if you are scared

of being on camera and being on YouTube then you know there are hundreds of

people that are not scared and those people might actually succeed because if

you're willing to do what other people are not willing to do you can often get

better rewards so if you possibly are worried about YouTube you know I would

just say just give it a go because YouTube is extremely powerful let me

show you some of the examples and then we're gonna walk through exactly what

you can do with YouTube so here are my earnings for just one of the videos that

I made back in August so it's been about five months and that video has had a ton

of views I'm gonna have to hide some of the stats here because YouTube is a

little bit sensitive as well about you know what your reveal and what you don't

reveal but what I can tell you is that so far I've made one thousand three

hundred and thirty six US dollars just in ad revenue from this one video and

this video took me a couple of hours to create over the course

oh yeah it'll probably go on to make me let's say $2,000 and that's really good

you know when you think that you were able to spend two or three hours making

a video and then make $2,000 from it and it will continue generating money you

know month after month day after day week after week another video that I'm

gonna show you here is this one so this one has made me eight hundred and forty

five dollars so far so it just it hasn't been kind of as popular but still it's

really really good outcome when you think about you know just the amount of

time that you spend if you can literally spend just a couple of hours doing this

and it can generate the sort of money that I'm showing you guys here now

YouTube is actually completely passive you don't really have to worry about

even getting traffic because YouTube comes with its own traffic right it

doesn't you don't need to get traffic from Pinterest or from anywhere else

because your content as long as your content is good your content is just

gonna get discovered by YouTube and by YouTube users YouTube will actually

promote it to the user base the thing with YouTube is that you can actually

have a youtube channel in literally a meaning some niches play better than

others for example initiatives that are about making money or about you know

finance or about business or about health and wellness and losing weight

they pay more than niche that's dedicated to for example just some funny

videos but you can easily make videos in pretty much any niche you know you

actually can get a lot more views in some some niches than in others for

example the business and the money issues they are kind of not as popular

as some of the funny or some of the more viral niches so even if you're making

less per view but you're getting a lot more views that's still totally totally

worth it in my experience it's quite easy to make at least $100 for a video

that you make per video ok I can also see even though my channel is kind of

new I can also see how it's very easy to make $2,000 or more for every Shopp

video that you create with YouTube you do need to have at least 4,000 watch

hours before you can have your video more advice but that's completely fine

you know it might just only take a few months to crack these 4,000 watch hours

the other cool thing is that YouTube actually doesn't YouTube will pay you

even if people don't buy anything right YouTube just pays you an amount per view

so literally all that needs to happen for you to get paid is for some of the

Witcher video so it's super simple is as long as your video is high-quality you

can go ahead and you can make it and you can might get monetized and you can make

money so you can make money from ads all this as we've talked about but the other

things that you can do you can make money from affiliate marketing so what I

mean by that is you can implement links in the description of your video just

below the video title and if you put in any affiliate links and someone buys

something through that link then you can get paid as well I want to show you some

of the examples of the affiliate earnings that are making from YouTube

videos I'm here inside my ShareASale account and I recommended tailwind which

is Pinterest related software that has a free pricing tier I recommend that in my

last video and look at the amount of signups that I'm getting so 127 which is

basically today the US time 5:28 p.m. 357 p.m. 338 p.m. 258 p.m.

2:35 p.m. 12:07 p.m. 11:30 a.m. so I'm getting like a sign-up per hour okay

into this affiliate program that pays 50 cents for each free signup so people

don't even have to do anything it's just them as soon as they sign up

I get paid fifty cents now if they're later upgrade their membership I get

paid for that as well I get paid a recurring Commission so it's amazing

that's just one of the examples I'm promoting a lot of affiliate programs I

won't kind of bore you with all the details now but I just wanted to make

sure that you know that YouTube and affiliate marketing actually works

really really well so apart from ads you can also do a

filleth marketing lastly you can also build your email list which is a very

important part of any kind of online marketing you've probably heard that

already that you need to build in email list so YouTube is excellent for

building your email list on YouTube is very very powerful it's an excellent

platform for you and lastly I guess the other thing that I really love about

YouTube is that there are just so many different ways to monetize that it's not

just the ads you each video that you put out will make your money from ads from

affiliate marketing it will build your list and it will also get you more

subscribers it's like a self-growing you know a perpetually growing self-feeding

kind of beast and machine so I really really suggest that you check out and

seriously consider starting your own YouTube channel as well well that's it
