So uh...Weather's nice today I'm going to finish scrubbing in this new tire.
I'm gonna go film wheelie wednesday later but, right now I wanted to talk about something
uh...
There's a motovlogger I watch he's got a fairly small channel, he's got just under three thousand
subs I think.
The guy, his name is uh, the channel name is A Dork In The Road.
And when I first saw that I had to click on it, and then I became jealous because I was
like dang, that's a good name I wish I'd come up with it.
He's got this really cool old school video game intro and outro, it just makes me laugh.
The guy seems pretty cool, he's out in Oregon.
Anyway he did a video the other day called why do I ride.
I think that was the title, something like that, but that was the point of the video
anyway.
Why do I ride?
He said he gets that question all the time.
Well first of all if you gotta ask that question man, something's wrong with you.
How could you not enjoy riding?
Like, how could you not enjoy a big green bug slapping in to your face shield right
in your line of sight?
That bug said hoof to that damn face shield.
You're nuts junior.
Hang on a second I'm going to have to pull over here and get this off.
I mean this sucker is right in my line of sight, it's making me go cross eyed.

Ahh yeah, so we're back.
What was I saying about if you have to ask why somebody rides you, somethings wrong with
you?
So, why do I ride?
Well first of all...
Why do I ride?
I've never really thought about it.
It just seems like such a... it just seems like such a crazy question to ask.
You know?
Why do you not ride?
That's the real question.
Like...
So I get over... here's one of the things that he mentioned in his videos, and this
is a big thing for me.
When you're on a motorcycle you are taking in the road, you're taking in the scenery
like you just don't do in a car.
If you're on four wheels, and you're surrounded by a cage you're just not...you're not part
of the road like you are on a motorcycle.
Umm, I don't know how to explain it any better than that.
It's just...you smell everything, you see every little thing.
You have to, because if you let something slip up on you that's when you get in trouble.
So yeah, you have to pay more attention when you're on the road, and as a result you just...
you just take in everything.
and it's just wonderful to get out here on these roads and... like right now I smell
somebody's burning something, I smell the smells of spring, fresh grass cut...I mean
you just don't get that in a car.
It's just so relaxing to get out, and...ride and soak up the sun, cause you don't soak
up the sun in a car.
It's just different.
It's just better.
Everything about it is better.
And if you think I'm going to be able to put together five reasons why, and sit here and
number them and keep up with them, then you, you don't understand my ADD riddled mind so...
I won't be able to do that, I'll be jumping around, but...
The danger...the danger factor is definitely why I ride, I mean, I'm not an adrenaline
junky, I wouldn't say that, but, you know I do like the feel of speed.
I love that sensation.
Nothing makes you feel more alive like almost dying.
There's no doubt about that so.
There's just really nothing like it.
There's just nothing like having that power between your legs,
and you just hang on and put a big smile on your face, I mean, again, how could you not ride?
Another reason why I ride is it's better than sitting on the couch.
Like...
I like to be up doing things.
I don't like to be on the couch.
I do not enjoy just laying around the house all day long.
It just...first of all it drains me of energy, I usually get a headache, and so it's a perfect
way to get out here and soak up some vitamin D, and be doing something.
Another reason why I ride, is I had no idea where this road went until I went down it
a few months ago.
You know, it's just the freedom, because it doesn't cost you much, you know.
It costs me, if this tank is empty it costs me about eight or nine bucks to fill it completely
up with 93 octane.
That eight or nine bucks, man, can uh...it can take me a long way.
Take me down a lot of roads I've never been on before.
I love to explore.
You don't do that in a car, you're not just driving down the road, you see a road, and
you say, "I"m just going to turn here and see where it takes me."
But that's the kind of thing you do on a motorcycle.
I do that all the time.
That's brings enjoyment, to my life.
Reason number D why I ride.
I mean let's just face it, if you're on two wheels you are automatically cooler than everybody
else.
I mean even if you're on a scooter, if you're on two wheels man you're cooler than everybody
else, it's just the way it works.
I mean, I don't make these rules, that's just the way it works.
ooow that wind is kickin, and I'm thinking about stickin.

So yeah, umm, that's just some reasons, I don't know, I'm going to keep filming and
try to think of more reasons.
You know.
I wish I could be the type of person that plans this thing out, and has them all in
my head before I take off, but that just ain't me.
I had the general idea, and I wanted to go ride and scrub this tire in, and so here we
are.
OK.
So, if you don't like it, then...
I don't know.
Reason number...ummm... eleven, I don't know, could be reason number three I don't really
know.
I'm not keeping track of it.
Yeah, reason number eleven, I'm going to go ahead and put an end to this one.
