Auto news on Youtube Dec 31 2018

hi everyone first we're gonna check my ketones man my phone just never loves to

focus okay I think it is and small which is right here man no it's not trace and

it's not small it's like a 10 I wish it with focus so you could tell you can't

really see it good you can see it more over here you see it's not traced but

it's not small so I think it's like a level 10 and I'm very good with that on

the kind of day I had yesterday which was a lot of food a lot of food all day

long so here we go with the video today

fasting weight loss and today is December 30th of my weight loss journey

I started at two seventy three point two ninety four days ago yesterday I did a

refeed thing the previous three days I did not eat these two days I didn't know

food or water this thing I did zero calorie beverages in this day I ate all

day long it is day 28 of my 30-day challenge which was supposed to be

extreme which I will say it has had periods of extreme time and periods of

time that shows I'm not trying to do my best

ok so my channel was started for accountability for weight loss because I

could not be in a group the way I wanted to and I got upset and I started the

channel and that's the best thing I could have

done because this is way better than what I could have done in the group I

think as far as accountability and it's turned into something I love doing like

I love having people that support me and comment and watch it every day some

people start their mornings with me like that is so good it feels so good okay

let's see I wrote notes okay let's see I believe I'm positive support and every

diet works almost every diet every mainstream diet works just almost

everything works as long as you work it and I believe people should not talk

about other people's plans or give them discouragement

I think they should give them encouragement um so I watch every

morning I started my day watching a motivational video and today I learned

about Barbara Corcoran she is from the shark tank

and she started her I didn't learn this day this is just based on what I

remember she started her real estate company with like a thousand dollars and

now she's worth over 80 million um and she did this in New York which I love in

New York and one of her tips was not one of her tips one of the things she said

helped her mica become successful is overwork everyone so in her circle she

if someone worked two hours a day she worked four hours a day so overworked

everyone so I was thinking you should try to outwork me when you watch what I

ate today um it's not a good example however for me personally it's about

portion control I'm trying to not do this but I'm not trying hard enough

obviously but I'm still getting results and I'm still continuing to go go

forward um yeah so I just want you to take what I'm doing as a basis of where

you could start but try to do even better and outwork yourself like I was

me and motivated me today because I only have two days left 20

minds 829 and day 30 I only have two days left for my 30-day challenge um but

I am gonna do let's see so today is the 30th oh my god I just have two more

entries so I was thinking I don't know I'm just gonna do the zero calorie

beverages today I think I'm gonna do a lot of I think I'm gonna do a lot of

exercise I was thinking about doing dry fasting two days but I'd rather drink

and exercise so today is drinking exercise tomorrow is dry fasting with 30

minutes exercise because I don't want to harm my body do not harm your body

quickly weight loss is not worth that okay um another thing I want to

recommend is for anyone having constipation

before I started any kind of dry fasting snake diet fasting any kind of fasting

at all um oh I also need to talk about after fasting what should I eat and this

video is gonna show you what you should and should not eat okay but back to your

constipation um before I did any kind of fasting I did it

JJ Smith 10-day smoothie cleanse where you just have smoothies every day for

ten days they're supposed to have more like Greek like spinach and kale and a

lot of green stuff so it should look green yeah I recommend that I do not

like smoothies before I did that but smoothies will be a part of my

lifestyle probably start in January first or after like I would like a

smoothie I would like all of us in the household to have a smoothie today okay

in her group a lot of people well she should just this magnet oh seven man I

gotta make sure my camera is so bad maggle seven it is the ultimate

oxygenating digestive system ninety vegetable capsules

this is excellent it says suggest the use as a dietary supplement see oh I got

an Amazon affiliate link I'm gonna see if I can figure out how to put a link in

this description because I bought it off Amazon I believe I'm gonna try to do

that you guys know I have like money goes to I just thought that's funny cuz

I just thought I could do that and that's not why I did this I did this

because I have them and Danny Boy fasted for four days four and a half to four

two half days and he didn't have a bowel movement so if you have any suggestions

for him please or anybody that has this problem please post it in the comments

but I'm gonna say my suggestions this is my number one suggestion because it

doesn't make your stomach hurt at all and okay let me continue reading as a

dire tale a dietary supplement take up to five capsules at bedtime with eight

to twelve ounces of water on an empty stomach for seven to ten days or until

desired cleanse has been attained decreased dose for maintenance daily

dosage will vary depending on individual an intended purpose results may vary and

okay ingredients elemental magnesium 1035 milligrams elemental potassium oh

we take potassium 99 milligrams other ingredients certified organic rice flour

citric acid and vegetable capsules mango 7 is a gentle and fast effect acting

oxygen cleanse that works overnight for most people this unique combination

gently softens unwanted buildup in the digestive tract while providing

beneficial oxygen to the digestive system it's for people experiencing slow

and sluggish digestion struggling with common digestive irregularities

preparing for a lifestyle change or special event this product is not

intended to be used as a magnesium supplement ok I have not used this even

once I just need to say I've not used this once in the 94 days

I don't need it and I did use it on the 10 day cleanse I have there's 90 in here

I probably have like 60 in here but I love it because it doesn't hurt your

stomach at all okay so Danny Boy

who ever has digestive problems get that you might even want to try the JJ Smith

tend a green smoothie cleanse it's gonna clean you all the way up and it's

healthy and you're getting a lot of nutrients maybe do that instead of doing

this and then come back to this do what works for you okay and do not quit

that's the number one important thing I'm gonna check the focus on this cuz

yesterday's little video was horrible

okay I think the focus is good okay one of Barbara's other main points is be

yourself she said usually the weirdest or

quirkiest person in the group or team is the one that's most liked because

they're real be real be you don't let people tell you what to do take their

advice incorporate it if you want to be nice about it and just be who you want

to be and do what works for you oh my gosh please and there's not one way to

any goal there's not one way to weight loss okay um let's see okay after

fasting what should I eat what you should eat is something very light a

vegetable a very high water content vegetable or a bone broth does something

really really light then you wait a little bit this is my personal opinion

okay then you wait a little bit and then you can add in a little something else

maybe a piece of chicken if you're doing this make diet that's it have that one

little meal and keep going if you're doing um what I do I guess this is what

I do because that's what I did the last two times me I am NOT gonna do just one

meal anymore yeah I'm done with that um it just does not work for me and I just

don't want to I'm what I'm to do it's not best but it's what I'm

choosing to do okay so yesterday I ate all day I showed you guys in the video I

started my day with the celery so good I found out salary two people told me in

my comments yesterday how good celery is for your blood pressure and that I need

to write that down celery research because I need to know

more and I thought I know everything about what to eat for lowering my blood

pressure at the end of this video you're gonna see what my blood pressure was at

the gym yesterday and I'm happy okay I'm very happy but I did take one lisinopril

pill I'm supposed to take a multiple theme something and the super lisinopril

I didn't know what to do so 20 minutes before the gym I did the one lisinopril

I think it's 20 milligrams I'm working to get off of that if I take one a day

for like a week and my pressure is looking normal

I'm going to the doctor I'm gonna say can we get off this other one the other

one is way more expensive like double what the vasila Serna pro course so I'm

hoping I can only take the cheap one okay

yeah so what I had to do the only thing I'm gonna show you in the video in this

video which is gonna which it means this video is gonna save me 3 hours to upload

but that's okay I have time um the only thing you won't see in the pictures is I

had a small side order at Panda Express AB orange chicken the little tiny it's

not a print it's like a baby point I don't even know maybe have to fight I

gave two pieces to my kids so I ate the whole other piece of the plant then I

had eight piece chicken nuggets from chick-fil-a I gave them each one of

those they had their own food I bought some other stuff they came to the Jimmy

I didn't buy food from my other two kids because I was at work I said whoever

wants to come to the gym get ready and be ready when I get there only two

wanted to go I'm not the other two could have fined soup or something or sooner

or something from the cabinet I don't care my 19 year old had

I saw him had two pieces of whole-grain bread and spinach on it I'm like that's

what you even he said yes I said fine or whatever so I didn't buy them anything

um but the two little ones came to the gym with me for over an hour

um and that's all you didn't see I also had some in the pictures you're gonna

see the yogurt blue cheese 35 calories oh my gosh that's amazing but it don't

taste as amazing as a regular one so I have to sell it I put the 35 calorie on

the other half I put the normal blue cheese which is probably 140 calories I

have a lot of calories yesterday I stayed away from makino cheesecake which

is my favorite but I have it I have some available to make I don't know when

that's gonna happen but you guys know what I do with that so that's why I

didn't get it but when I took when I ate yesterday I just felt like I wanted to

eat more and more and more I don't know it was all protein I probably had 75

carbs if I had to make my best guess I probably have 75 carbs I did an hour of

exercise I did walking and elliptical and that's what I did yesterday and I

did a hit 10-minute Adrienne Bryant hit you must do so much is exercise at least

three or four times a week Adrienne Bryant I don't care if it's a

10-minute workout or 20 whatever just do it um and that's it so here's my blood

pressure and the elliptical what it said I did and that's it um after fasting

make good choices you won't regain so I'm not proud of this rig that's gaint

um this fast I'm not good with what I ate after fasting this time because I

ate too much but I'm very happy with all my choices

except for the Panda Express I should have not got it and Wendy's I just got a

salad so I got two salads two chickens from chick-fil-a and the Panda Express

small singing yeah so today's weight which is so bad it's so bad I'm not

proud of this I promise all night but I'm not beating myself up because I'm

gonna keep going I have no doubt imma keep going and I games okay alright so

today yesterday I was to 13.2 I gained four point two pounds and I am -

seventeen point four I'm water fasting today a lot of the salt and a lot of the

food will come like out today and I'm going out with the bang in 2018 dry

fasting and whatever you do the last day of the year make it big because you'll

remember that day and it will set the tone for January 1st 2019 however you're

not gonna see me extreme anymore but you gotta see me consistent steady and

making pretty good choices and that sugar day is coming up for me soon I'm

excited I want something to look forward to it and I'm gonna do that so please

comment like and I will see you tomorrow

you

okay we are gonna try this again and I waited mmm I didn't really wait

again I took my blood pressure like 20 minutes

ago that just one pill I don't even think it kicks in that quick

I just want to document what my blood pressure does

1:31 over 85 is bad why aren't you playing basketball Aaron

okay jacket on

I'm gonna wait two minutes okay I waited two minutes let's see if it's better

okay and now that's what I like to see let's just say that's it but I did take

the medicine 20-30 minutes ago I don't know if it's that I just took one pill

and this wasn't take two different pills I want to keep monitoring this every day

God

you

Klopp reveals what he enjoyed most about Liverpool's 5-1 win - Duration: 3:55.

It was the moment Liverpool hadn't experienced in almost exactly 12 months.  And it underlined for Jurgen Klopp the continued improvement of his Premier League leaders

Anfield was stunned when, 11 minutes into the game against Arsenal on Saturday evening, the visitors went ahead through Ainsley Maitland-Niles, only the eighth league goal the Reds have conceded this season

Not since Jamie Vardy struck for Leicester City on December 30 last year had Liverpool been behind at home in a Premier League game

The Reds fought back to win 2-1 that afternoon. And against the Gunners, Klopp's side were ahead within five minutes and out of sight by half-time before sealing an emphatic 5-1 triumph to move nine points clear at the top-flight summit

"The reaction was absolutely brilliant," said Klopp. "We haven't conceded that many goals this season so we didn't really know what the reaction would be, especially with it being the first goal of the game

"But it was just outstanding. We increased the intensity a little bit and put them under pressure

"  In remaining unbeaten after 20 games, Liverpool have been behind for just 85 minutes this season, with Arsenal joining Chelsea and Burnley as the only teams to go in front against the Reds

The Gunners were made to pay for it, Roberto Firmino scoring a quickfire double and in the second half completing his first Liverpool hat-trick from the spot after Sadio Mane and a Mohamed Salah penalty put the Reds 4-1 ahead by the break

Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play The video will start in 8Cancel Play now  And while delighted with result, Klopp admits his team can improve in many areas

"The second goal was brilliant defending, Sadio comes inside, put the defender under pressure, wins the ball back and bam, Bobby scores a fantastic goal," he said

"I loved the third goal because was again a second ball after a set-piece. For the penalty, Mo in a one-on-one situation in the box is difficult for any defender

"Could we have played better in the first half? Yes. Could we have defended better in the first half? Yes

"We were a bit too open and a bit too wide. In the first 10 minutes they were playing long balls but after 20 minutes they were playing their football again because we didn't adapt in the right way

"We changed that at half-time, and then needed Hendo to come on and close the half-spaces where Ramsey was having the ball

"A lot of things we can do better, but I like the game because it was clear beforehand that it would be a big fight

It was wild, bouncing from right to left. When you can control it you had to immediately, and we did at times

"But winning 5-1 is obviously an exceptional result against Arsenal."

What I'll Do Differently in 2019 - Duration: 3:48.

Hi guys! So it's almost 2019.

And I wanted to talk about what I want to do differently in the New Year

or I guess

for the rest of my life.

And it sounds really cheesy, but I want to be a person who

gives and loves more.

And when I say this

people usually think I have to be some sort of saint or

sacrifice everything of myself.

But I don't think that's true.

Because love is not sacrifice, but mercy.

And mercy is not being everybody's doormat,

but more like letting go of something from your mind

because it does not do you any good living out your truest self.

So in a way, mercy does mean

your innate ability to tell apart

what it is that you really like to do

because it brings you the most joy and happiness,

and what is not.

And there was a phase in my life when

I was a really good lover.

And I remember back then,

I didn't give that much thought about what I love

because I was very in tune with

my inner voice.

So a lot of spiritualists and even psychologists say

that there is a power in your very first thought.

The thought that comes before any other thoughts that grow like weed

such as worry,

what if I do this and it doesn't work, judgments and all those thoughts.

There's also a book called "The 5 Second Rule" by Mel Robbins.

And she talks about the same thing:

How taking immediate action can make massive change in your life.

And I guess also from a spiritual point of view,

usually that first thought is the most love-based and

the wisest thought.

And it's not limited to how you deal with other people or your social life,

but most importantly, how you deal with yourself

because how you communicate with your Self

decides how and how much love you're going to manifest

because your truest self is love.

So all this spiritual theory aside,

I want to be a person who is good at

choosing love over fear.

Hemingway once said this:

So as we grow older,

understandably our fear grows as well

because the more we live,

the more we experience craps,

and our memory of craps

kind of forms our view of the world

and sadly also ourselves.

So it takes more courage and energy to

be able to live out my truest self

and do what I truly, truly want to do

and distinguish what is my true inner voice amongst all the other voices.

It's not going to be easy but

it's going to be worth it

because that's the only thing that we're born to do.

There's nothing else that truly matters

than figuring out what is my truest self trying to do every moment.

So that was it for this video

and one more difference that will take place in 2019

is that I'll be moving out from this place.

And move into my own,

different, smaller place.

It's not going to be as nice looking as this place

but it's my own private place and

that's what makes me feel really good about it.

Thank you so much for watching

and I'll keep on posting contents

thank you so much for loving what I put out there

thank you so much for loving my weird haircut.

I'll see you on the next video. Bye!

And HAPPY NEW YEAR

Photography: What Camera Should You Buy? - s1e257 - Duration: 7:11.

Hi, I'm Bill Snodgrass and in this episode I'm gonna answer a question that

I get asked very frequently and the… the question is this: What kind of camera

should I buy? Now, here's the answer… this is the… this is my answer.

That depends. That's pretty much it. That's that's pretty much my answer.

But in order for this video, then, not to be you know this very, very short

I'm gonna elaborate on that a little bit more. It depends on what you're trying to

accomplish. Now in the 21st century, almost everyone

has a smartphone that takes pictures or a phone of some sort that takes pictures

and if all you're trying to do is you know capture a selfie once in a while

and a sunset once in a while and you want maybe take some pictures of your

friends and you doing something funny or you and doing something and if you get

almost a vast majority I'm not gonna make up a number of pictures the

smartphone is going to be sufficient for that there's there's just so much power

in these phones now that the need to go to a more sophisticated camera almost

brings you to sort of a specialized situation and what is that specialized

situation the the specialized situation is you want more creative control over

things like sensitivity shutter speed aperture and you want to be able to

change the focal length of the lens zoom in zoom out so that is going to be your

your decision point are you trying to take some sports pictures you probably

aren't going to be happy with your camera phone pictures for that are you

trying to do some high quality portrait work it's a lot of work to do that on a

camera phone but you can pull it off but it's easier if you have some other

resources available do you want some some very sophisticated specific

lighting techniques done in your picture very difficult to pull off on a

smartphone the next step up is going to be what I call like an integrated lens

cam this is a Powershot SX 530 H something

HS this is a good little camera with a 50 power optical zoom for outside

daylight sports this is a very sufficient camera for doing some more

sophisticated landscape work where you want some control because you have you

have the settings to set it into aperture mode manual or shutter mode or

and then all the creative modes are still there as well plus also does some

video so for a next step up it's going to bring you to a price point and I'm

going to put some of these pictures up from Amazon lets you see kind of where

these these prices are as the day of this video and I also belenki and make

an affiliate link down in the description if you want to check some

things out with more detail but at this price point

there a lot of different cameras Canon and Nikon and Sony a lot of people make

cameras in in this kind of compact integrated model why would you want to

step up from a integrated lens model to a DSL or a mirrorless that has

interchangeable lenses because it has interchangeable lenses now this is going

to move you to another price point and it's going to give you the option of

being able to get a very specific lens for a very specific case such as a lens

dedicated for portrait work with a very very wide open aperture that allows you

to a very very shallow depth of field or a very very long telephoto lens that

will allow you to capture sports action up close this is going to allow you to

change those lenses out and depending on on your needs you may have one lens for

going around at an event and you may have another lens for doing sports and

another lens for doing of close personal work and portraits the interchangeable

lens is going to introduce a much higher grade of glass although there are

economy versions of the interchangeable lenses as well there also

high-quality lenses that would be far superior in glass quality than in an

integrated body model the price point at the DSLR is going to be much higher and

the the flexibility is also going to go up as well

so you have to ask yourself back to the I original statement which camera should

you buy nayad depends depends on what you want

to do and it depends on on how much you want to learn about doing it and

depending on that there's a lot of ways that you can go a lot of brands that you

can explore and and there's a lot of great cameras out there at all different

levels that I'll do all kinds of different things you also need to

consider how much video you're gonna do versus how much are you only gonna do

still lifes and photographs that's another consideration that's going to

bring in a whole nother set of questions regarding what kind of camera should you

buy that's it for this episode and they're there basically you've got kind

of three choices in the 21st century you've got your very high quality camera

phone that is going to cover a vast majority of situations the next step up

is going to be your integrated camera it's going to give you creative control

over shutter speed aperture and ISO and then finally you're gonna have your

interchangeable lens DSLR or mirrorless camera that has a lot more flexibility

in the long run you're gonna have to decide do you want to spend a chunk of

money now and then later spend a bigger chunk or save up now and spend a bigger

chunk right out of the gate that's it for this episode I'm not sure if this is

going to be the kind of video there it goes all well that answered all my

questions but I think you know it's sort of overviews the situation and points

you in the direction of answering those questions for yourself as you analyze

your needs and investigate the the options out there you can come to a good

choice please if you enjoyed this video leave me a like leave me a comment or a

question a suggestion sign up for notification subscribe the channel if

you're interested in photography videography I also do a

lot of inspirational videos and life lessons you can find those here as well

and I occasionally do something else weird or also do some occasionally a

science video so thank you for watching please again like comment subscribe

That's all for this video. I will see you in the next one.

HIKING - HITCH-HIKING - THUMBING A LIFT - TREKKING - What's the difference? - Duration: 2:35.

hi do you know the difference between hiking hitchhiking thumbing a lift and

trekking this is Susan Brodar from speak languages and travel the world here to

help you improve your English with minimal effort

a maximum benefit so there are words like hiking and hitchhiking which could

be confused today as you can see I'm hiking hiking is usually walking a

certain distance maybe half day all day in the mountains in the countryside in

this case I'm up on the Teide volcano and it just means enjoying a pleasant

walk which is usually quite long hitchhiking is something very different

it's when you take a holiday and you don't rely on public transport you don't

rely on your own car but you rely on other people and you stop cars and ask

if they can give you a lift that's hitchhiking and most hitchhikers

lift up their thumb like this as if to say I need a lift

it's a little bit dangerous nowadays it was better in the past so fewer people

go hitchhiking famill IFFT could be hitchhiking but it's usually just

something shorter like oh I missed the last bus home maybe I can thumb a lift

maybe I can stop a car lifting up my thumb and ask them if they can give me a

lift home otherwise it's a long walk it's not a proper holiday let's say so

that's hitchhiking instead and hitchhiking and thumbing a lift sorry

instead trekking trekking is also a kind of holiday a bit like hiking but it's

usually much much longer you can hike and leap out but trekking is usually a

series of nights out you might be sleeping out on the mountain or sleeping

out in the countryside that's what we refer to as

trekking so if you've been hiking trekking hitchhiking or if you have a

thumb the lift let us know in the comments below and we can hear yes your

opinion on how it went and that's all for today bye see you in the next video

Wat bracht 2018? - Eindejaarsspecial - Duration: 34:12.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Christmas message of 2018.

With that crap!</font></font>

Is everyone okay?</font></font>

Yes, you are right at home?</font></font>

Then we can start.</font></font>

Thank you to all the viewers to follow us so massively in 2018, we've seen this year.</font></font>

Also in 2019 we will do our best to visit more great locations.</font></font>

We are going to try, because the locations are scarce and we have to travel further than we were just to do so.</font></font>

But I think if we all do a little effort, then it should be fine.</font></font>

What brought 2018?</font></font>

In 2018 we started with one of my favorites, namely the Ghostbustunnel!</font></font>

I meanwhile itself become a bus driver in the meantime, so I think that is so special.</font></font>

I've done that my arm hurt and who has spent weeks in a cast.</font></font>

Tommy was there when cases.</font></font>

Something too fast lane trying stabbing over.</font></font>

We zullen eens kijken!

Keuzes maken.

We gaan eens kijken.

Alla Italia was prachtig.

Blijven kijken in 2019!

Waar zit Tommy?

What is a dimension? - Duration: 6:56.

hey guys.

this is space train.

your daily express till the edge of the space.

and today we will talk about, dimensions.

grab your tickets and lets go.

Ask someone to name every dimension they know of and they'll likely list the following:

length, width, and depth.

They might also add time if they're thinking outside the three-dimensional box.

But asking a string theorist, "How many dimensions are there?" would elicit a very

different response.

According to this branch of theoretical physics, there are at least 10 dimensions of space,

most of which are impossible for humans to perceive.

what is a dimension?

Dimensions are the metrics that physicists use to describe reality.

Sounds broad, right?

Let's start with the three dimensions most people learn in grade school.

The spatial dimensions—width, height, and depth—are the easiest to visualize.

A horizontal line exists in one dimension because it only has length; a square is two-dimensional

because it has length and width.

Add depth and we get a cube, or a three-dimensional shape.

These three coordinates are used to pinpoint an object's location in space.

But space isn't the only plane we exist on; we also exist in time, which is where

the fourth dimension comes in.

Once we know a dot's altitude, longitude, latitude, and position in time, we have the

tools needed to plot its existence in the universe as we know it.

But some physicists who subscribe to string theory argue there's more to reality than

the observable universe.

String theory, also known as "superstring theory," aims to unify two main theories describing

how the universe works: general relativity (which applies to very large objects) and

quantum mechanics (which applies to very small ones).

In a four-dimensional universe, this theory wouldn't be possible, but once scientists

tweaked the math to include 10 dimensions—11 including time—their equations worked.

After coming up with a theory that hinges on the existence of 10 space dimensions, string

theorists then had the job of explaining where those new dimensions were hiding.

Their answer: They are just as real as the "big" dimensions we can see, but the extra

dimensions are curled up so tightly that they're too small for us to notice directly.

we will try to visually show how all of this 10 dimensions look like.

The first dimension, as already noted, is that which gives it length (aka. the x-axis).

A good description of a one-dimensional object is a straight line, which exists only in terms

of length and has no other discernible qualities.

Add to it a second dimension, the y-axis (or height), and you get an object that becomes

a 2-dimensional shape (like a square).

The third dimension involves depth (the z-axis), and gives all objects a sense of area and

a cross-section.

The perfect example of this is a cube, which exists in three dimensions and has a length,

width, depth, and hence volume.

Beyond these three lie the seven dimensions which are not immediately apparent to us,

but which can be still be perceived as having a direct effect on the universe and reality

as we know it.

Scientists believe that the fourth dimension is time, which governs the properties of all

known matter at any given point.

Along with the three other dimensions, knowing an objects position in time is essential to

plotting its position in the universe.

The other dimensions are where the deeper possibilities come into play, and explaining

their interaction with the others is where things get particularly tricky for physicists.

According to Superstring Theory, the fifth and sixth dimensions are where the notion

of possible worlds arises.

If we could see on through to the fifth dimension, we would see a world slightly different from

our own that would give us a means of measuring the similarity and differences between our

world and other possible ones.

In the sixth, we would see a plane of possible worlds, where we could compare and position

all the possible universes that start with the same initial conditions as this one (i.e.

the Big Bang).

In theory, if you could master the fifth and sixth dimension, you could travel back in

time or go to different futures.

In the seventh dimension, you have access to the possible worlds that start with different

initial conditions.

Whereas in the fifth and sixth, the initial conditions were the same and subsequent actions

were different, here, everything is different from the very beginning of time.

The eighth dimension again gives us a plane of such possible universe histories, each

of which begins with different initial conditions and branches out infinitely (hence why they

are called infinities).

In the ninth dimension, we can compare all the possible universe histories, starting

with all the different possible laws of physics and initial conditions.

In the tenth and final dimension, we arrive at the point in which everything possible

and imaginable is covered.

Beyond this, nothing can be imagined by us lowly mortals, which makes it the natural

limitation of what we can conceive in terms of dimensions.

There are various versions of string-theory equations describing 10-dimensional space.

However, in the 1990s, a mathematician named Edward Witten at the Institute for Advanced

Study in Princeton proposed that String Theory could be simplified if we glanced it from

an 11-dimensional perspective.

This theory is called the M-Theory.

What's more, according to the Bosonic string theory, there are up to 26 dimensions.

if you want to learn more about string theory, watch our previous two episodes.

you can find links down below.

However.

all of these extra dimensions are beyond our vision.

we have no evidence that can prove they truly exist.

but that does not stop scientists have some fun, and make our already complex world, even

more complicated.

don't forget to comment, what do you think, how many extra dimensions are there, or do

they exist at all.

There are lots of questions left, so don't space out and live some space in your brainfor

answers.

what implies what we must understand. In this video, I will tell you what is happening on Doomsday.

You can support me by subscribing to my channel by specifying your ideas and liking the video.

First of all, I would like to point out that the word duhan is meant to imply two meanings or more precisely. I'll try to explain them in order that I'll try to explain a smoke Duhan

In Arabic, it is called as famine or smoke. We first talk about the smoke that comes out physically.

it will pass as a small disease, but those who do not believe will cause great pain and death.

This smoke is Hz. It is not known exactly why or where the exodus is said.

The second meaning also means starvation in the past, the Prophet Muhammad said that because of the very persecution of the pastures. So,

He regretted that Joseph would be distressed by the years of famine. On top of them caught a famine, or even ate cife, bones, diarrhea.

There. The person sees smoke between the earth and the sky. He heard the voice of the mourner and could not see him from the smoke. He was surrounded by people like he was bought. Considering that Duhan is used in these two meanings, we can say that

As a result of the weapons used in today's technology, a great cloud is covered, the most obvious example of this is the cloud of radiation that the atomic bomb will form, with the explosion of a few of them.

To get enough sun in the sky that can not kapalai crop lands or previous video I like the Chernobyl incident which almost all turkey effect can be covered under the incident radiation as bulutuları

If you wish, you can look at that video now a few smartphones do not need to sun out in the greenhouse can say, but even now the world is not enough to harvest the crop....

Duhan smoke after the exit will be either a great hunger or a large virus will spread. If you've watched it here, you like the video.

What's Next for Baron Corbin in WWE - Duration: 1:44.

Hi Friends wellcome to C4E Wrestling News What's Next for Baron Corbin in WWE Baron

Corbin has been officially removed from power thanks to Vince McMahon's announcement of

a New Era This was welcomed by the WWE Universe but now comes the question of what's next

for the former Lone Wolf Todd Martin joined PW Torch's mailbag recently where he was

asked what is next for Baron Corbin He has a unique look that is attractive to WWE Therefore

it's not likely that WWE will send him off after one run as RAW GM He said I don't

think Baron Corbin is done I think they still see something in him He's going to continue

to get a push I mean he has got some heat from the crowd He is not somebody that I have

any real big belief in but I don't think he is done by any means Wade Keller also noted

that WWE has a history of General Managers and Corbin is way too tall to just write off

After their runs are over WWE takes GMs out of power and just figures something else out

for them to do It might take some time for Baron Corbin to find a new spot and none of

them might be as sweet as being RAW GM but he's not going away Friends what are your

thought about this Have your say in the comments section below

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners 66 - Clickbank : What is Pay Per Click PPC? - Duration: 6:50.

pay-per-click or PPC is an advertising model unique to the Internet it's been

around since 2002 a pay-per-click ad is a small four line aired consisting of a..

headline two short lines of text and a URL it doesn't contain graphics color

variations music or video and you can't pay extra to get more space although

they sound and look rather basic pay-per-click ads are one of the most

powerful ways of advertising today simply because they are so targeted

rather than just displaying to whoever happens to be in the vicinity bears with

TV or billboard advertising pay-per-click ads only display to people

who have shown an active interest in the topic by either searching for

information or by going one step further and visiting a website what this means

for you as an affiliate is that the conversion rate of pay-per-click ads is

much higher than other advertising models another enormous benefit is that

you only pay for the times when the ad gets clicked on while that doesn't

necessarily mean that you'll get a sale it's a lot better than paying merely for

the privilege of having your ads on show pay per impression which is what used to

be the case before pay-per-click was introduced there are two types of

pay-per-click ads the ads that appear beside the organic search results in

Yahoo Google and Bing search engines are called search ads because they are

triggered by the words people search for for example someone searching cat

training will display pay-per-click ads targeting related keywords phrases the

second type of pay-per-click ads are content ads these ads appear within a

website or blog and unlike search ads content pay-per-click ads are based on

keywords within the website itself rather than any user action the trick

with content ads is making sure your website or blog is well optimized for

your topic so that the most relevant ads possible are displayed if you have a

website about flamenco dancing frogs and your site isn't properly optimized

then you could get ads displaying for the DVD version of so you think you can

dance for sale on eBay or worse something that probably has very little

significance for your market such as dance studios fur under-fives content

ads can be in two formats text the traditional type of Google ad most

people will automatically think of and image ads for example animated banners

and either gif or Flash format both text and image ads can be used for placement

targeted and keyword targeted campaigns and if you thought that banner style

advertising was dead then think again our experiments have led us to conclude

that image content ads are consistently more profitable than text content ads

and when not just the only ones mark Lindsay goes so far as to claim that he

gets back triple the click-through rates on image ads as he does from straight

text ads and it's interesting pay per click ads are rewarded for high quality

and penalized for inferior quality this is simply because the whole system would

fall apart if visitors started to see pay per click ads as bad value but if

ads our high quality than everyone will benefit for that reason the better your

ad then the less you'll have to pay per click and the more exposure you get a

win-win situation although pay per click can be expensive

you can set the limits on your spending to ensure you don't end up bankrupt

overnight when you set your ads you will be choosing your maximum cost per click

which can be as low as 10 cents or as high as $50 the minimum amount you will

have to pay will vary depending on the search engine and the popularity of the

keyword you wish your ad to appear for you also get set a daily budget which

could be anything from five dollars to five thousand dollars this will

determine how many times per day your ad gets shown if you have a budget of 20

dollars per day and paying a maximum cost-per-click of 30

cents then your ad can be showing up to about sixty six times a day but if

you're paying a dollar per click then your ad will only be shown 20 times that

makes sense don't worry if this sounds a bit

confusing we'll be going into that in a lot more

detail in later lessons for now we just want to point out that although pay per

click can be expensive you do have some control over what you spend keywords are

a huge part of pay per click success as they determine how targeted your

audience is which in turn determines your conversion rate when you set up

your ads you will be able to bid on the keywords and keyword phrases that you

think your target market is most likely to search for for example someone

promoting a learn yoga course would probably bid on the keywords learn yoga

and yoga for beginners as they seem like search terms that their target audience

would use finding the best keywords for highest conversions is an art and top

pay-per-click advertisers spend hours analyzing the most profitable keywords

for their campaigns sometimes a relatively small difference

can make a big difference to the number of conversions you get for example cat

fur allergy might get more clicks than cat hair allergy luckily there are also

plenty of keyword tools out there to help you discover what words your target

market used to find information related to what your promotion will be taking a

look at them and a few more lessons in time for today's lesson summary and

today's lesson we've looked at what pay per click actually is and how long it's

been around we've looked at search versus content ads and how they are

different we've looked at the different types of content ads whether it's text

the traditional style of google ad or image ads or banner style advertising

we've looked at the cost of pay-per-click and how you can set your

limits on your own spending and we've looked briefly at keywords and how

they're a huge part of your pay-per-click success

all right that's all we've got time for today thanks for watching and we'll see

you again soon bye for now

What I Wish I Knew Before Starting Affiliate Marketing🤔 - Duration: 5:48.

hey guys Mesha here giving you the three day update or my 100 day to

prosperity journey. Today I had a coaching call that made everything clear

to me. First let me start by saying that I am NOT the time to get coaching I

figured that there was a lot of free information out there and YouTube on

Facebook or other blogs and I just did not need coaching. Though I had problems

with that. First of all I had never paid for coaching before and I was never

successful in any of my businesses so I could continue with that same insanity

lifestyle and keep doing the same thing over and over and over again and getting

the same results or I could try something different the second problem

that I had is there is a ton of free information out there and I mean too

much and everybody has their own agenda you don't know if

they're trying to give you information for free or if they're just trying to

sell you something and you don't know if their information is truly going to help

you or not and even if it is really good information implementing it is a problem

at the same time as you're trying to do everything else and listen to everybody

else and then all it does is become frustrating and overwhelming and

eventually you'll get to the place where you do nothing because you're burnt out

doing everything that everybody else tells you so that was me I was learning

my program and as a side note if you would like to find out more information

about what I'm doing to fire my boss in 2019 please click the link below I was

writing ad copy I was posting to Facebook I was reading books and

listening to gurus online I was writing a blog I was trying to figure out this

traffic thing and I was making YouTube videos while working a full job seven to

four. I was frustrated and I was extremely

overwhelmed. so this is what my coach did for me my coach gave me the one thing

that I truly needed she gave me clarity she made me think

about what I wanted from my business she explained all of the traffic sources

to me and asked me what I could do consistently on every day or frequent

basis I thought about my long term goals in my business and I thought about who I

was and what I was willing to put into this and I quickly realized that YouTube

was the route for me so here I am so I'm saying all this to help you so I ask you

the same question that she asked me what do you want in your business what can

you afford time and money wise to do on a long-term

basis what traffic sources would be best for your business because not every

traffic source will work for every business type what you need is clarity

you need to know what you want and how you want to get there once you know that

the rest is a piece of cake there is a famous quote says if you don't stand for

anything you'll fall oh if you don't stand for

something you will fall for anything and that's the same in business if you don't

know your direction there will always be a person there who will choose your path

for you in a later video I'll discuss the different traffic methods and why I

chose Youtube as being the best one for me but until then I want you to think

about your business what do you want to offer the marketplace I want you to

write that down and write the path that you want get there okay now that's good

for so who actually knows their path but what if you don't know your path well

that's simple if you're just getting started

that's okay what I want you to do is write down everything that sets your

soul on fire when you wake up in the morning what is

the first thing that you're excited to do what is the last thing that you think

about before you go to bed and this is aside from family what is something that

you actually do that you just can't wait to do every time you think about it and

start writing all of those things down and we will talk about how to monetize

all of that later or if you're excited to start right now you can always join

me in my program by clicking the link below I would love to work with you and

share with you what I know how you can be successful whatever you do just

remember indecision is an enemy of success you have to take action in order

for you to do anything to get where you want to go so until next time good

people make sure you do your homework and take action on it and if you feel so

inclined click the link below to learn how you can get financially free in a

year like me and like subscribe and comment to my video that you just heard

today okay so until we meet again be blessed

take care and I hope to see you the next side.

What Have We Done!?! - Episode 4 - Unknown Empire SMP Season 2 - Let's Play Minecraft - Duration: 21:43.

Hello everybody, my name is Hudinio and welcome back to the unknown Empire SMP minecraft server this episode

4 and in the last episode we ended up exploring Tadros. We stole the Kings horse

We put it up for ransom. That's kind of where we are

Now now at the end of last episode

I would say we or I said we were gonna head off to the west try to explore the town of reverie

And that's exactly what I intend to do today. So here we are starting our journey to the west

So far this journey seems to be

Much prettier and the journey to Tadros. There's lots of trees the path isn't as straight. It's a little more windy, which I like

Yep, so let's just continue heading west and I'll tell you what

I'll bring you guys back in when we get there or if we see anything worthwhile

Alright, so if you're watching this episode I am still on

Holiday, and I will be on holiday for the next for this episode and the next one

Well, however, I will be back in

Japan in the next episode, but I'm not gonna have time to get to my computer and record

so I'm actually gonna have to pre-record that one as well and

Unfortunately, it's all gonna be recorded about a week before I leave

So a lot of things might happen on the server that won't be in my videos

Like for example, I might get paid the ransom for the horse

Yeah, I'm not gonna know that until I actually get back from vacation

So we'll have to keep posted. Let me know in the comments below if you watch any of the other

Unknown empire server members and let me know what happens with that horse ransom

I have absolutely no idea where I am. My world is not loading in at all

Alright land ho

What have we found

They found a lot of terracotta a lot of clay

Wow, this place is awesome looking. I love it. I

Really don't want to blow anything up. So I do need to be careful and I see something off in the distance

So that is the direction where you're gonna help we're gonna head

Let's go

Wow, this place is amazing looking. I love the colors mixed together

And I need to eat. I didn't realize I was this low on food already

Bread is not a good source of saturation. By the way. Um, I do have pumpkin pie that I got from mini

And I'll probably eat that as soon as my bread supply is out

All right. So what are we finding over this way?

Wow, it's a massive bridge this bridge is incredible. Okay? Yeah, it's awesome. Let's go see what we find

Which way is the bridge here's a mine minecart. Can we?

Hello

Sir my cart in here. No

Alright, so let's go ahead up top so we can get on the bridge proper

Now we off

Okay, so this bridge is huge by the way I

Do like the roof I

Wish there was a little bit more block variation in here. It's a lot of spruce wood

Almost too much spruce wood. So reverie is

Changing from green to pink and purple. Actually, I have no idea if this is even reverie, I

Really don't know where I am right now in relation to anything else

But we are still heading west and I do know reverie was quite quite far away. Oh

There's a ship there's a thing

Yes, so we have found the mushroom island which houses the town of reverie the ship's pretty cool. I

Like it. All right

now if you watch my

Single-player world. I have a sky black world that is basically surrounded by ocean

I do want to put a boat probably something similar to this on there

I do feel like those sails are facing the wrong way, though

Like they do

Like that's not gonna catch any wind. I don't think maybe I don't know. I don't know anything about boats. What am I saying?

Alright, so what if we found?

To explore over here

Now I'm gonna have to let this this place load up a little bit so we can see everything that's around

but for now, I

Seem to have found some type of greenhouse or astronomy tower or something

What is this?

I'm unsure of what this is, but I do like it. It's actually a really really cool area

Now I wonder if this is one person or if there's a group of people who have taken this this town over ah

Yeah, let's go inside this house and maybe things to thieve

Excellent

Aha

Nothing in the chest

So that leads me to believe that nobody lives here

Although I can't know that for sure

This is very very pretty if you know who lives in this house or in reverie

Please let me know in the comments below. I'd really really like to

To talk with them about their build style. I do enjoy. It might be something I want to look into in a future series

I don't know if I'm gonna build like this on this series just because it doesn't make too much sense, but somebody is actually

Actively building out this way some lapis blocks

Waiting for the wall to load, please load load faster, please. Alright

So what do we have here

Yeah, okay

If somebody is building something in this area no idea what it is

I'm sit-down mooshroom. Oh, no. Oh man. I love the deer bone trick. It's so funny

Okay, we found another house this does

But

Somebody had a TARDIS. That's so funny. That's

So cool. I like it. Alright, so I'm happy and cake. Ah

How you both? Excellent?

Excellent, excellent. Excellent

Yes

This is perfect. I don't know whose chest. This is though, so I can't call them out and let them know that I've stolen anything

missing floor

Ok

I'll tell you what now that I know there's valuables there. I can come back any time and steal them chicken cooker

Ok, I will take a bunch of eggs though

Unfortunately, I have zero eggs, and I would like to start up a chicken farm at some point

so thank you very much - whoever's this is

refill bowls if you use them mushroom soup

Yeah, I don't need it. Thanks, though

Okay, what else we have here

Wow

This looks like a mapped area of reverie, here's the bridge that we just came over this looks like

The outskirts of the mushroom town looks like somebody's been coming along and grassing the whole thing throwing trees it around

This is amazing. What do we have here? It looks like a wolf farm. Perhaps I will go that way and steal myself some wool

Somebody is mapping what appears to be the rest of the world. So here's reverie

Perhaps this is the bridge

Yeah, here's here's the bridge it comes from

Comes from this area here and just go straight across over and then this is the mainland

Okay

Waypoint should be here ish Tatro should be here ish

Alright, maybe somebody will finish mapping it and I would actually like to do a project like this myself

However maps are slightly. Um

How I say this they give off quite a bit of lag. What's in here just a bucket. All right

Raw beef. Oh, it's just a cal farm

Looks like a well it looks like it used to be a cow farm

Snowman, although hey Bobby

Alright, what else we got?

period

Black

Do I not have there we up, nope

Yeah

Okay black with

Some type of

symbol

Yeah, that works, okay done

Did that save it did okay

There we go. So Alex raver, I will be sending you a message on discord. Thank you very much

Ok

That's supposed to change

Okay, you're not changing into the soul sand that you're supposed to be

There we go, okay

32 coal one diamond Wow, okay

Swords unbreaking

diamond for 64 quarts one diamond for one item

Power for unbreaking 3. Oh

Yes, okay I might be coming back here and spending a little bit of money I'm not worried too too much about

The gear and stuff like that. I don't care enough about it. I'll get my own at some point

But yeah, the

It's this

Okay, but yeah the boughs and the fishing rods are definitely something I might consider

Okay, so it looks like a lot of people have moved into reverie, which is awesome

Minnie needs help. Hi, so I'm guessing you're wondering what's going on

Yeah

Well, if some of you might know I plan on making the floating islands in the East my new base

It's going to be tough to get things going. So I figured I'd trade a few things to get a little extra help

So if there's anything in here that you'd like go ahead and take it but replace it an equal number of items

Thanks for training and don't worry. I'll take this place down when I'm done. Okay, Minnie. So what do you have in here?

Equal number of items. Hmm. I

Don't know what exactly you need for your base, so please let me know and I'll do some farming up

cake and cupcake shop

Yep bread

to iron for four stacks to iron for four stacks sixty-four for a diamond

What else well, those are profits?

Is this pumpkin pie some cake?

Wow so much cake cake looks like it's free

All right, that's awesome

do we have over here someone's items were laying around in the water grab the most important stuff as

Inventory was foolish if this is yours, here you go

Most important items fish and a stone pick

Arm sleeve. Those might be my items. Who knows?

Tavern taverns very very empty

Aha okay, so a thief might hold up residence in a tavern now

I don't plan on having an actual base

I will have a thieving headquarters in the series and in this thieving headquarters basically be my important items

I might have some type of underground thing

Helmets boots seven diamonds. Okay, I see

pickaxe swords

Yeah, I mean some good stuff here nothing I can't make my own of though

So, yeah

I do plan on having that thieving headquarters and there I'll keep most of the things that thieve I

Might actually set up a fencing shop in

The main town so maybe one in reverie one in

Waypoints and one in Tetris have like a fencing shop. So anything that my fellow thieves

Can steal I

Will come along and give them iron or diamonds or something for it. This looks to be someone's

storage center oops

Okay

Well, nothing much here. I do want to check out what's on this boat. And then I think we're done with reverie

Unfortunately doesn't look like we're gonna get to steal much stuff from from reverie

but what I do want to take care of either now or soon ish is

Here's a guard we have

Hello Steve, 5-iron for 20 biscuits 20 bread carrots

I'm breaking one. Okay, Steve. Hello. What are you a fish vendor Simon?

Okay, well that might be a way to make some quick diamonds, um, so yeah, what was I saying I

Will have an outpost somewhere. I don't know where I'm thinking maybe between Waypoint and reveries since reverie seems to be where most people

Have ended up so that is kind of what I'm thinking. I'll end up doing

Let's check out this boat. Perhaps there's something here to thieve

No, this boat is empty. Oh god, I'm suck, okay

Yeah, so I think that's gonna do it for every basically it's not a whole lot going on

What I will do is grab some stuff

Come back and perhaps set up a little bit of a base

I'll have to scout out an area

Mmm, and unfortunately, there wasn't really much to steal here

I was hoping to be able to steal like a horse or something something awesome, but nothing that's all right

Okay, so I'm gonna make my way back to Waypoint

I'm gonna check on the horse make sure it hasn't died and I'll see you guys when I get there. Ah

So we've stumbled upon something else it looks to be a player made city

It's gonna be lots of resources in here, unfortunately, none of this is mine and I don't feel like

Stealing today I have to just want to get back home. These houses are awesome though, really nicely designs. I like them a lot

What do we have around here though?

any indication of who's this is

No, I don't see any any notice of who lives here

This looks to be maybe a fish shop of sorts alka Thor tours and tackle

Mmm, it's actually very nice

It's in here empty room I like it I kind of just want to commandeer this for my own use

Alka Thor lumber company

Well, as far as I know there's nobody on the server named alga Thor I mean there very well might be

So this might be the name of a new town coming up al Couture food supply

llamas

Wow, wow, it's so many cows. Okay

Don't care

Okay, so with that being said knowing that there's donkeys and

It's such a cool painting

knowing that there's donkeys and

Cows here and llamas. I think this might be the home of

I

Have to check I should I have to check who's this might be

Do I think this might be Danielle's

If you remember we saw Danielle earlier, she was on the server and she was mining Oh Oh

Bessie Bessie, I did not see you there before. I did not take my bed back

Okay

Yes, this is a pretty neat find we found alga Thor I

Don't know where Waypoint is though

You

Ready

Oh

Thank you shot me did we went now it's so fast, uh-huh now I

Don't actually know where I respawn

Once we get around here we can get past the gate to the to the keep and then right in there is where the horses

are

Alright good stuff

Them's fightin words

Alright guys. So what did you think of those teaser Clips again? I'm really sorry about the audio cutting out

News24 - Eric Bailly: 'Brainless, what's he thinking?' - Man Utd star SLAMMED after red card - Duration: 2:29.

That is the opinion of Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher. Bailly was given his marching orders by referee Lee Mason in the 79th minute at Old Trafford

**PREDICT FIVE RESULTS AND WIN £25,000 - FREE TO PLAY HERE** The score was 4-1 to Manchester United at the time, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side easing towards a third successive win

Ivory Coast international Bailly dangerously slid into Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser with a scissor motion in the middle of the pitch

And Mason had no hesitation in brandishing a straight red card to the 24-year-old

Bailly now looks set to miss Manchester United's next three domestic matches. That includes the league visit to Newcastle on Wednesday, the FA Cup Third Round match against Reading on Saturday and the trip to Tottenham a week on Sunday

And Carragher could not understand why the centre-back made the challenge. "I mean what's he thinking?" Carragher said

"They're winning the game 4-1, it's on the halfway line. "He's flying in with a scissor challenge

"When you go flying in like that, we now know when a player is out of control, endangering an opponent, you go to ground, every chance you're going to be shown a red card

"Absolutely brainless that from Bailly, considering the time of the game, the score

"It's not today, the game's won. It's more going forward and the games he will miss

" United held onto the 4-1 lead to maintain Solskjaer's 100 per cent start to his interim reign

Paul Pogba was the star of the show with a second successive brace.

What causes stuttering? Two real causes of stuttering anxiety and tension - Duration: 29:23.

So what we usually hear about causes of stuttering: neurology, psychology, genetics,

brain and vocal cords injuries. And brain and vocal cord injuries I can understand

but neurology, psychology and genetics to me as a person who stutters it doesn't

say much to be honest. So in this video I'll tell you about two causes, two very

direct causes of stuttering tension, starring anxiety, stuttering state. Two

causes of stuttering actually. We can clearly identify them and we can affect

them effectively. So stay tuned!

First, I want you to take a look at this tiny video. It says a lot about

stuttering and I'll tell you why once you watch it.

So what happens when we touch a snail?

It tenses up it, locks up. Pretty much the same thing happens when

we stutter. We feel tension, our body feels tension and we lock up. Now, where this

tension is coming from? Speech impediments by themselves they're

neutral, they don't bear, they don't have any tension. If you look at regular

people, "regular" people, they have speech impediments (glitches, repetitions) so they

have them from time to time but there is no tension. No one is born with that

tension in their speaking right from the start. First we have the speech

impediments but only at certain point the tension appears. So if we talk about

causes of stuttering there's no neurology, psychology, genetics to tension.

There is psychology, neurology, genetics, heredity to speech

impediments but not to the tension. There are basically two two reasons or causes

we feel the tension, our body feels the tension. And they're pretty simple.

The first one is helplessness. Our body, we feel helpless in the face of those

speech impediments. And it doesn't feel great. You want to say something, we want

to say something and we're helpless, we have speech impediments. We naturally,

organically don't like it. Our body actually doesn't like it

because again we have an intention and we cannot do it. So the second reason why

we feel the tension we feel negative about it. As I said first our body

doesn't like it because it's something we don't want. But second of course it's

the signals, the feedback, the assessment we get from the outside, from the

world. No parent, no friend, no schoolmate, no office colleague, no stranger would say,

"Wow, what a wonderful speech impairment! I love it!

Awesome!" No one tells that. Instead we feel different feedback: laughing, smiles,

cringes, bullying, pity saying, "Come on, relax, calm down, breathe..." you name it.

So the stuttering tension, the stuttering state, the stuttering anticipation, the

stuttering anxiety, the stuttering iceberg, the heart of stuttering is a concentrated

negative feeling about it. And again feeling doesn't mean only thinking about

it. It means our body's response to that

situation where we are helpless, our body's helpless, our speaking

mechanism is helpless in the face of the speech impediments. So the first

question is how do we get positive about our speaking, about ourselves, even about

speech impediments? And you might be thinking, "Okay, okay, okay, please skip this,

give me some real tricks, what can I do?" This is a very, very real thing. This is a

very practical thing. As long as you're trying to hide your stuttering, as long

as you're trying to hide your speech impediments, as long as you're trying,

pretending to be fluent, normal, regular you have a lot of enormous pressure

which turns into that tension and that is basically part of stuttering.

Desire to hide it is part of stuttering. So we want to dismantle it. We want to

open up and be active and positive about this opening up. So three practical

things that I would suggest to do. The first one in terms of being positive on

a very mindset level, take a blank piece of paper and write down how stuttering

has made you a better person. If you're struggling with this I'm

giving a link to my post about 10 facts that can make you more positive about

stuttering. It's just a good for the thought. Second, open up.

Join Free From Sutter Facebook group.

Share a post, make a post about yourself. You can go with a

video speaking to the camera actually. It's also a great exercise because

speaking to the camera pretty safe thing but it's still a huge step towards

speaking compared to just talking to yourself, talking to the mirror. Speaking

to the camera having in mind your idea to post it, your intention to post it

it's a bit different thing. You still feel like you're interacting. We have

openness challenges in this group so you can participate in different activities.

We have speaking club. We meet twice a month: once we go live so it's public and

other meeting is private so where we can chat. You choose whatever formats is

right for you. And third, be active. So I suggest to take another blank piece of

paper and write ten things that come to your mind that you want to do but you're

afraid of doing. Not necessarily involving speaking. Like for me still is

a scary thing to go and do a couple pull-ups because I know it's kind of

not cool especially when there are some young ladies or gentlemen around. I feel

like okay, okay, maybe I'll do it tomorrow. So that's an exercise to go and do it.

If I want to do it, I want to enjoy it, I want to do it right now because

remember the snail we don't want to lock up. We want to open up and we start on a very,

very mindset level. That's what we can do first. Again, you are amazing, you're

beautiful and you're unique. But at the same time it's your responsibility to

see that in yourself, it's your responsibility to let you be you. Tap

into your inner power which means just open up and be active and positive about

yourself and interaction with the world, about speaking because speaking is the

way to interact with the world. One of the major ways. So this is our mindset

level we've done these three things, we're doing great but the speech impediments

with tension still don't go away. And you might be wondering, "Okay, if the

tension is a concentrated negative feeling, if I'm becoming more positive

about my interaction, speaking, even speech impediments, why the tension is

still there?" Well, and the truth is our behavior is regulated, is directed not

only by our conscious mind. Most of it is pretty much automated. So it's directed

from a different place. Let's call it subconscious if you wish. And it gives a

much faster and more direct response to what's happening around than our

conscious mind. And let's take an example. Imagine you see in front of you

a shark. You're in the water, you see the shark, what's your reaction? My reaction

and most people's reaction is we freeze, we tense up so much that we cannot move.

At that point every cell of your body starts thinking how can I survive. So we

freeze, we tense up and we lock up again. So even before we get to that thinking

mindset level our body has already given a very direct and fast response. The same

thing happens with our speaking and speech impediments. Our body feels that

helplessness that we have about the speech impediments. So you might be

wondering what's the cause, what's the reason, what's the ground for that

helplessness? Why our body feels helpless about the speech impediments and what

can we do about it? So imagine this is a space for your sound, syllable, just the

unit our praise, our speaking consists of. So instead of the whole sound, syllable

I'm putting half of it. I'm taking half of the space. So what happens? It builds

up, it sums up into an empty space at some point which is a speech impediment.

And our body on a very physical level, subconscious level it reads that, it

knows that so it starts to sabotage our speaking right before we even

start speaking. It builds up that tension because it doesn't want to play a game

that it will lose. And let's take a look at Speech Easy devices and other delayed

auditory feedback devices and apps. So what they do - they give a signal to our

ear, they give us a signal that we are further along the way, that we've put

more to our speaking. In fact we haven't and it doesn't change the way we speak,

our speaking pattern. But it tells our body, "Ok, no worries you're on the

right track, you're at the right spot." What singing does? "Oh, misty eye of the

mountain below! Oh, misty eye of the mountain below!" Of course we feel that

we're putting more than enough. We safely feel, our body safely feels we're on the

right track unless it's a very fast singing and again we're not singing

properly, we're not putting enough there. And take a look at actors, singers, public

speakers. Every time you are performing you're free to put there enough, you're

allowed to do that, you give yourself permission. It's not

exactly you, it's somebody else doing it. Like me right now. I feel that I can put

more to my speaking. It's not asking directions, "Excuse me..." It's a different

state. There is a lot of energy, outgoing energy that lets you express yourself.

Like this guy from Tony Robbins show. "Guys 30 years of stuttering, stammering, but

that was the condition that I chose, I chose to stay there, I chose to

identify as a stutterer because why I was afraid of greatness, I was afraid of my

light shining but no more because today I am the voice, today I am the warrior, today..."

The guy was expressive on the stage

which is awesome, which is great but again it doesn't change the

speaking pattern this way. Because we have tons and tons of muscle and emotion

memory. We've created, our body has created those neural pathways. Neural pathways?

So what do we do? I suggest three practical steps on this physical,

subconscious level to make sure that we're putting enough to our speaking and

to make sure that we replace that helplessness our body feels about the

speech impediments with confidence that we link, associate with the very act of

speaking. Again in a very physical, subconscious level, on the level of that

direct response that our body gives. So the first step, the first thing I

suggest doing is feeling, just feeling the air flow, feeling our breathing out

as we're saying a piece of speaking, a phrase, something that we say in one

breathing out. So to tap into the air flow thing, to feel it better I suggest

three exercises. The first one is just humming with the sound "M" and then we go to "Ma"

and back but we still keep one airflow. So it sounds like...

[humming]

We don't interrupt the airflow as we close our mouth. It's not like "Ma -m." It's

[M-ma-M-ma]

So we want to feel the air flow going even though we close our mouth. And I suggest

doing it as long as you can imagining like you're speaking, like

[M-ma-m-ma]

And I suggest doing it like seven times in a row to really feel your

diaphragm getting tired. It's a great exercise to relax the vocal cords, to

train your diaphragm and just to feel the air flow going. The second exercise

which is very similar, I want you to just produce some sound, let's say "uh" and I

want you to close the vocal cords so that the air flow becomes really, really,

really tiny like "uh" and then go back and forth.

And also do it as long as you can like 7/8 times to really develop the

diaphragm, relax the vocal cords and tap into the confidence associated with the

airflow, with your breathing out. I also suggest to start different words with

that, I call it "fax, old fax machine exercise" like we started with "uh," let's

say "us." So we say "uh-us." Let's say "what." "W-w-what?" Let's say "me." "M-m-me?" You can play with

different words, with different sounds but eventually it's a good exercise to

feel how you can start your speaking instead of feeling that anticipation and

tension. We can just take our time and think a bit like,

"This one." "Would you like a big bottle?" "Hmm, yeah the big one!" And the third exercise

I suggest to play with phrases. Imagine you want to say the phrase "I can see you

from here." So my body is getting tense subconsciously even before I kind of think

much about it because it feels there is a "K" sound, there is a "S" sound and I

feel that these sounds are like the wall in front of my airflow. And I go like "I-

I-Kkk..." "Actually I, actually I" and I'm thinking how to get over that "K." So a great

exercise I call it the airplane exercise when you feel your sound, your

voice goes up up up and then down. So let's try to grow that sound so it goes

like "I can" and you can throw it to me as a ball "I can."

So we climb up the mountain and then we go down. It's like a roller coaster,

first we need to create the airflow and then we use that airflow. I call this

exercise the airplane because we go up up up and then down "I can." So it's not

I-I-I K-k-k. "I can." So if "K" sound is the wall this wall

doesn't exist anymore because we get way higher than this wall. Now this is just

an exercise and we also want to make that "I" a bit shorter because in "I can't" I

is not much stressed. But we still want to put something, substance, some

substance to that "I" to make sure we step on a firm ground. So we say "I can

see you." Now the next point is "S." "I can S-s-s."

So "N" is stopping the airflow and "S" feels like another wall. I don't

have the air flow for that "S." We want to connect them together. I want

you to imagine it's not "can" "see" but "ca" "nsee." "N" goes to the second, next

finger. We're using hand technique but let's imagine two kind of spaces:

"ca" "nsee." And "nsee" is a great articulation exercise: give me one "nsee" please, two "nsee," three "nsee."

And you also throw it to me as a ball "ca -nsee," "ca-nsee." So we say "I can see you."

"I can see you from here." We've created the airflow for our speaking piece, for

our phrase, we're making sure we've put enough this way to our speaking. We use

some of the singing if you wish because every stressed syllable, every time we

put more we do exactly the same thing what singing does. And every nice

speaking, nice sounding speaking sounds like music. There is some melody inside.

We want to make sure that the stressed syllables are emphasized and each time

we emphasize something we feel the firm ground because we are putting enough

at that point. That's why we want to put more expressing ourselves. Imagine you

are an actor, imagine you're a public speaker, imagine you're singer, you are a performer

on the stage. The second step on this very physical level that we can take is

using the hands stuttering technique. Being expressive is awesome and if you're a

actor, singer, speaker, performer you are able to tap into different states when

you're expressive but most of the time we still are kind of in our regular life

and we want to make sure that when we see the shark, when the speaking is coming

and there is always danger and our body is giving that direct response of tension

we want to make sure that we are able to tap into that moment and participate in

that direct physical response and what our hand does when we use our hand, when

we synchronize our speaking with using our hand we make sure that we launch our

speaking with our hand, we get into stresses, we're making sure that we're

putting enough into each of the stressed syllables in our phrase and we make sure

that we split our speaking into nice pieces. And I'm not teaching the hand stuttering

technique in this video obviously. It takes some time and some practice and we

do it in Free From Stutter Program but I want you to get a feeling of it. And if you

play just a bit with yourself it's still a great exercise. So first we just want

to get a feeling of connection between using your fingers, pressing our fingers

and producing sounds. And we launch our speaking with our thumb so we say, "I can"

growing that sound, first feeling that connection. "I can." Then we say our phrase

one finger - one syllable, "I can see you from here." First, you can give yourself

more time just to get a feeling of that connection. "I can see from here." But

we want to feel it's one breathing out. You can play differently putting more

stress to different fingers feeling how they respond, feeling that connection. So

we say "I can see you from here" and then as we practice and as you nail it we get

to a faster pace we say "I can see you from here," "I can see you from here." So

we get to a pretty regular pace just putting more

to the stressed syllables and we use our fingers mostly just to feel the stresses

in our speaking. And again we do this in Free From Stutter Program, we nail that,

you nail it in a couple months and then it's all about using the training speech and

that's a separate topic where we create different real-life situations using the

training speech. Again being expressive, playing with our voice, doing the

exercise is awesome but when it comes to real-life speaking it happens too fast

and we have this shark, this danger in front of us and we have tons of muscle

and emotional memory, neural patterns that work automatically. If we want to tap

into that physical level and really profoundly change that we want to have

some physical ground, some physical foundation. Otherwise, once we get into

that tension, once we feel that tension we just tap into our default speaking

and all our exercises that we do at home, in the therapy room and in front of the

mirror, even in front of the camera they collapse. So using hand creates those new

neural pathways, patterns much faster in a much more profound way. Now the third

step is consistency. This is a very simple math. If you're tapping to your

confidence on that physical level, let's say you're using the hand stuttering

technique or maybe your other tool. If you're using it ten percent of your

speaking and the other 90 percent you just let it go as it goes you get

back to your default speaking. You might be fluent but your speaking is insecure,

your body reads that, it knows it's insecure, the speaking is insecure.

It is still in that alerted, in that tense mode.

So it's all about how much we put to our muscle and emotional memory, how much

confidence we put there. We literally want to outweigh tons of muscle and

emotional memory that created certain neural patters, neural pathways with new

experiences where we link, we associate that physical reaction, that

subconscious reaction to speaking to speaking setting, speaking situations

with confidence, with putting enough to our speaking. So it takes consistency and

it takes time. That's why I call it a "training speech." It's not a trick or

technique we're using from time to time. We want to feel that our speaking is safe and

confident, we're putting enough to our speaking on a constant basis, on a consistent

basis. This way we really start forming new neural pathways, new neural patterns so

the speaking, that shark creates a different response, it's not dangerous

anymore. So we start feeling differently about

the act of speaking and the speech impediments. We don't feel the tension

about the speech impediments anymore. Yes, we have the same neurology, psychology, the

same brain and we might have more speech impediments than other people but what

is important is your feeling about the speech impediments. At this point you're

really okay with your speech impediments because your body is OK

with them.

What's Got to Change in Your Life? - Duration: 28:31.

[PASTOR MICHAEL NOVOTNY]

We are loved by God and

get into heaven as a free

gift through Jesus, right?

So wait, does that mean

you can do whatever you

want and God will still

accept you in the end? Or

does that mean you

actually have to earn your

way to heaven and be a

good enough person to be

accepted by God in the

end? Confusing questions,

right? Pastor Jeske's

going to help us find some

great answers in the

Bible. It's coming up next

on Time of Grace.

[MUSIC]

[PASTOR MARK JESKE] The

Bible is not written as a

dogmatics textbook.

You will find

biography, you will find

letters or the churchy

word for that is epistles.

And you will find

prophetic vision language;

sometimes even dream

narrative. The holy

writers used metaphors and

similes - you know,

comparative words. There

are flashbacks and flash

aheads. God uses all kinds

of - he'll use hyperbole

or exaggeration. He uses

understatement and

sarcasm; all of those

tricks to add some juice

to his amazing message.

And the Bible, like our

writing today and a lot of

our speech today, uses air

quotes. Do you know what

air quotes are? That's

when - it's a bit of

sarcasm; it's a form of

sarcasm. Or irony; when

it's the opposite of what

you'd think. It's a way of

using a word but you don't

really mean the word. I

have probably the most

famous example of air

quotes in the entire Bible

that I would like to savor

with you today so let's

have a look. Open your

Bible to James 2 and let's

see if you can spot the

air quotes, which I think

will help you grasp James'

line of thought, his

message, which I also hope

you agree with me is

critical to a

well-rounded,

understanding of our life

with God. The basic

message of the gospel of

God's grace is this: That

he looks at jerks and

fools and sinners like you

and me and says, "I love

you unconditionally

because of nothing you

have ever done. Your life

is irrelevant to me. I

just know you're dying and

you smell. But I've got a

solution and it starts

with my deciding to love

you without reference to

how much you may or may

not have deserved it.

That's called grace. It is

a hundred percent done, a

hundred percent God's

doing, nothing is left to

chance, and there's

nothing you could ever do

that would disqualify you

from being loved by God

for his mercy is bigger

than all of your sins

piled together in one

gigantic manure heap.

That's grace. And he

simply gives it to you.

And the astounding and

almost unbelievable fact

is that on the cross of

Christ on Good Friday on

Calvary, God actually

pardoned the world. Even

those who don't believe in

him yet, even those who

had not even been born,

you were pre-forgiven

before you were even born

and committed your first

sin. You were forgiven

even before you existed.

That's grace.

Simultaneously with that

is when people are brought

to faith by the Holy

Spirit, they now have the

power of the Spirit

working within them and

they now have the lights

turned on. By possessing

God's word, they know now

how shall we live? Now

having been saved, how can

we serve and please God?

This is equally true and

God does not settle for

the way you are right now.

And it is James' burden,

his mission task in his

five chapters, is not to

describe the grace side;

that apparently he felt

was adequately done in

other ways or God let him

know I don't need you to

articulate that part. What

I am sending you to write

down, James, is to wage

war on hypocrisy and lame

excuses from people who

say, "I believe" and

that's enough. You've only

got to believe to go to

heaven, right? Okay, I

believe. Case closed. Now

I can go live any way I

want. And see, that is a

seeming contradiction. It

doesn't matter how you've

lived; it matters

intensely how you've lived

and your knees get a

little wobbly like, "Which

is it? I want to know

which it is so I know how

to act." They're both

true. Remember your

hammock? Swing at peace

between those two

thoughts. If you get

nervous and wonder where

does my help come from?

Lift your eyes up to

heaven; it comes from him.

If you're wondering does

it matter how I live? Does

he expect me to be holy?

The answer is yes; he

expects nothing less of

you than to be just like

him. And now let's let

James talk to us. James 2

- our story today begins

in verse 14: "What good is

it, my brothers," he's

talking to fellow

believers; you are his

family. "What good is it

if a person would claim to

have faith but have no

deeds to go with it?"

Air quotes. You know I was

going to say that, right?

How can you have faith but

no deeds? Answer: It's

impossible. Real faith

always has life-changing

examples to reveal it.

That's beyond dispute;

assume it. It is all one

continuum. If you truly

are saved, you've been

blessed by God's grace,

you've come to believe it

through the power of the

Holy Spirit working

through word and

sacrament, and you live

it. That is not an option;

that is not like something

you can have as an add-on.

That is not something you

maybe or maybe not can

choose to have as a

feature of your life. Real

faith leads to change

lives; it's a packaged

deal. And do not allow

yourself or people you

love to luxuriate in the

hypocrisy of thinking that

all I need is facts in my

head and that's enough.

Your life matters and

James will not let you

wriggle away. "What good

is it to claim to have

faith but have no deeds?

Can such," now here are

massive air quotes, "Can

such faith save him?"

Answer, of course: No.

"Suppose a brother or

sister is without

clothes." So somebody you

claim to have as a fellow

believer, a member of your

congregation, somebody

within your family,

somebody with whom you

have a relationship is

without clothes and daily

food and you say, "Go, I

wish you well; keep warm

and be well-fed,' but does

nothing about his physical

needs, what good is it? In

the same way, faith by

itself, if not accompanied

by action, is dead." And

once again, for the third

and final time, faith

there is not true genuine

faith; it's air quote

faith. It's hypocrisy

faith. It's pretend faith.

It's poser faith. It's

posturing faith. It's

religiosity but it's not

real faith. James said,

"Well, someone will say,

'You have faith; I have

deeds," as though the two

can exist. There you might

say there's air quotes

around both of those

because the reverse is

true, too. There is

nothing a human being can

do that is pleasing to God

if it is not linked by

faith to Jesus Christ the

Son of God. That's why so

many people are going to

be shocked on Judgment Day

when they say, "Man, I did

all kinds of stuff. I paid

by taxes, I cut my grass,

I helped a little old lady

across the street once. I

actually shoveled the

widow's snow next door

once or twice a winter. I

have good things that I've

done." If they're not

connected to faith, faith

in Christ, they smell and

God sees all the

cheesiness and selfish,

self-servingness of it all

and just says, "Be gone, I

don't know you." So deeds

without faith - worthless.

Faith without deeds -

worthless. They are a

seamless continuum. "Show

me your faith," air quotes

again, "without deeds and

I will show you my faith

by what I do." Your deeds

validate whether or not

there's real faith as to

what you really believe.

"You believe that there's

one God? Good for you;

even the demons believe that

and they shudder." A young

man told me once who had

gone through catechism

class in his youth and now

as a man in his twenties

was saying, "I don't need

to go to church. I know

all this stuff. I know

what I need to know." I

hope God lets him live

long enough to grow out of

that pathetic, immature,

childish attitude. But you

know what he was saying

because you've probably

thought - and maybe you've

even said it - but you

probably all thought stuff

like that, too. You can

excuse your lack of

spiritual development by

saying, "Well, I know the

rules. I know the drill.

I've got my 'Get out of

hell free' card and I know

that no matter what kind

of mess I make on this

earth, in heaven I just

go, "Whoops, see, I

believe in Jesus! Jesus!"

And you whip the card out

and you say I know the

secret password to heaven.

Some people who pull that

will say, "Jesus, here I

am!" And he'll say, "Who

are you? I don't know

you." Because without a

real faith, your pretend

faith, your hypocritical

faith, is worthless too

for a faith disconnected

from deeds of love isn't

really faith. These are

hard words but do not

dilute them. Let them

smack you. Let these be a

wake-up call for you and I

are Dr. Jekyll and Mr.

Hyde people, aren't we?

And we still drag around

our sins and there's a

saint inside of us, as

well. That's another of

the Bible's many head

scratching contradictions

that you are

simultaneously a wretched

sinner and a holy saint at

the same time. Hang your

hammock between those two

trees and swing at peace

with God and take your nap

because you need them both

to know who you really

are. James said: "The

demons believe and

shudder." Just knowing the

facts is not enough. That

isn't faith. "You foolish

person," James writes. He

just - are you going to

let him talk to you like

that? He just called you

fools. Are you going to

let him talk to you like

that? Probably you should.

The Greek word that is

used - it's a little hard

to translate - it means

literally you empty-headed

idiots. You're empty;

there's nothing inside

your head. If you talk

like that, you don't have

a thought in your head.

You're an empty-head. "Do

you want evidence that

faith without deeds is

useless?" Remember

Abraham, he says, "he was

considered righteous for

what he did when he

offered his son Isaac on

the altar. You see that

his faith and his actions

were working together."

Does that make sense to

you, what I'm saying? What

James is saying? Faith and

deeds of love and

compassion and mercy and

obedience to God are

organically one and the

same; they flow back and

forth to each other. His

faith was made complete by

what he did. Did Abraham's

life matter? Did his

obedience matter? Yes, it

did. "Scripture was then

fulfilled that said

Abraham believed God and

it was credited to him as

righteousness and he was

called God's friend. You

see that a person is

justified by what he does

not by faith alone." There

are air quotes around

"faith alone." "In the

same way, it was not even

Rahab the" - may I dare to

call her the

ex-prostitute? She may

have had a seedy way of

life before the spies got

to Jericho. I hope though

that she showed her love

for the Lord as she

experienced Israel's God

and decided that the

Israelites had it right

and that her native

Jericho-ians had it wrong

and she threw her lock in

with Israel's God. My hope

is that she left behind

her former occupation and

found another way to earn

her bread. "She was

considered righteous for

what she did when she gave

lodging to the spies and

sent them off in a

different direction" from

their pursuers. "As the

body without the spirit is

dead so," - air quotes -

so-called hypocritical

"faith without deeds is

dead." What better time

could there be than the

beginning of the year to

have resolutions? And I

think the secret to doing

something that will matter

and that will last is the

same secret that I think

leads to successful

evangelism. One of the

things that has always

paralyzed me about being a

better witness to my faith

is that the world around

me seems so enormous. So

many atheists, so many

agnostics, so many

unbelievers, I don't know

where to start. And

outside of our country,

the numbers explode into

the billions and so the

paralysis of how enormous

that task is then makes me

do nothing. You know like

when you have a small

task, it's easy to rouse

yourself and get up off

your couch and do that one

thing and then you can sit

down again. But if you

look out at your house and

you see paint peeling

everywhere, rotten wood, a

gutter hanging sideways

and about ten shingles

missing and a broken

window up at the attic and

broken chunks of concrete

up on the sidewalk going

around the side of the

house, you might stand out

there at eight o'clock on

a summer morning and just

look at everything and go,

"I think I'm ready for a

nap" because the enormity

of it overwhelms you. You

know your life is a

half-baked mess. You know

there are many features of

your life that are not

under control; under

control of the Spirit of

the Lord. You know that; I

know that, too. And you

know that about me; you

don't even have to ask and

it's all true. I admit it.

I completely cheerfully

tearfully admit it to you.

If you let all of it weigh

down on you, you'll be so

depressed you will do

nothing so pick one thing

and that's my - I'm being

James - I'm going to get

in your grill today and

here's the Jeske

challenge: Pick one aspect

of your life that you know

is not under the control

of the Spirit that is not

what it ought to be; just

one thing. Now there are

two kinds of people here

today: Those that know

their one thing and those

that don't know their one

thing and I get both. I've

probably been both at

different times in my

life. I may even be both

right now. Some of you

know what your one thing

is. You are living in some

kind of rebellion against

God and you know it and

you try to keep this crust

on the outside so people

don't know but on the

inside, you know you are

at war with the Son of God

over something going on in

your life. You may have

some kind of sexual

relationship that you know

is wrong but you can't

stop. You know that what

for some people is

harmless gambling with a

little money, you play a

little game, some money

games, ah, you win, you

lose whatever, it's

chicken - it's just small

amounts of money and you

walk away from it and you

can leave it be for six

months and not even

notice; not even miss it.

But maybe your thing is

that you can't stop

gambling. You have

gambling fever and you are

throwing away money that

should be going to support

your family; you're

wasting it. You maybe have

got a crust of

respectability where you

can hang out at a party

and drink socially but

then you go home and you

have about eight more

drinks until you pass out

and your drinking is out

of control and you know

it. That may be your thing

that you need to work on

this year. You may have on

the surface of it, you

look like a fine ordinary

family but your marriage

is miserable and you know

it. Or you may think you

may be sort of in church

people Pharisee mode and

think, "Well, I've got one

or two little small little

features I could, you

know, I could maybe give

my spouse a few more cards

or I could get the little

lady flowers maybe a

little more often. Like

okay, I'm about

ninety-eight percent of

the way there. Just one

small little push and I'll

have it up to one hundred

percent. Just one or two

little, minor little

peccadillos and they're

not even sins - they're

just peccadillos." And so

to that portion of you

wherever you are, whoever

you are, I'm in your face

again and I'm going to

say: Do you have the

courage to ask your spouse

what your one thing maybe

ought to be? Do you have

the courage to ask your

mother: What do you think

I need to work on most,

mom? Do you have the

courage to say to your

father: As you look at my

life, where do you have

the most fear and regrets?

What would you change in

me if you could? Do you

have the courage to ask

your children: How am I

doing? Do you have the

courage to ask people at

work, somebody you trust

and know, how am I doing?

If you could change one

thing about me, what do

you see in me, like a

buddy system. How am I

doing? Because our

capacity for self-delusion

is so great. So whichever

you are - maybe you're

mushed; the two kind of

mushed together - as the

year begins, I invite you

to pick one thing to work

on. Don't be overwhelmed

by everything but pick one

thing where you are going

to do what James invites,

challenges, and even

commands you to do and

that's let your faith flow

into your life. Don't hold

it up; let it go and admit

where you are a work in

progress. Repent of it and

let the guilt and fear of

your past failures be

washed from you

completely. Not only are

we starting a new year,

you are starting a new

year with God, too, and

your record book of

failures has been washed

clean. You're starting

over. Today is a new day

and his grace is brand new

to you not only day by

day, but year by year, as

well. So fresh slate,

clean start. Now, what in

my life needs to improve?

Set that before you, write

it down, pray about it,

and maybe even ask a buddy

or a family member. This

is what I'm going to work

on this year. Help me.

Hold me accountable when

I'm not showing any

progress, when I'm messing

up. If my problem is

losing my temper, don't

let me blow it off and

blame others or make

excuses. When you see me

go off, when you hear

angry words start to come

out, give me the timeout

or give me the sign and

let me know that I'm

starting to lose my

struggle again. And when

you hear kind and

building-up words come out

of my mouth, then clap and

cheer for me and let me

know that my effort is

paying off. It's like if

you lose thirty pounds and

nobody notices, you might

think all that agony I

just went through for

nothing! Nobody even

notices the new skinny me.

In the same way, we can do

great things for each

other in clapping and

cheering for the progress

that God's struggling

saints are making in

working, as works in

progress, working on

lifting up their game. Not

just because it's a game

but because this brings

joy to our Lord who loves

it when we serve him and

serve each other, when we

become brokers of his

treasures to help the men,

women, and children around

us who may struggle where

we have something that can

be helpful to them. When

we stop hurting people and

look to build them up.

Write it down, think about

it, pray about it, and

then revisit it and check

yourself and measure how

am I doing? And keep that

as your theme this whole

year. That's my challenge

to you. And as we head

into offering time in a

few seconds, let me invite

you to take that to the

Lord, whatever you've

chosen, if you accept my

challenge, take that one

thing and take it to the

Lord and let it be your

project for this new year.

May God give you strength

to live a life that's

pleasing to him, Amen.

[MUSIC]

[PASTOR MICHAEL

NOVOTNY] I'm so glad

Pastor Jeske helped us to

wrestle with that question

because the tension

between the free gift of

God's grace and the

necessity of following God

and doing good works is

something we all have to

live with. It's never

easy, you never completely

resolve it; you just live

with that tension. When

you take sin maybe not so

seriously and people are

getting hurt, God wants us

to hear about works. And

yet, when we realize that

we're never going to be

good enough, that we're

struggling and striving

and repenting, we just

need to know about faith;

faith in Jesus and God's

unconditional love. I pray

this message today helped

you deal with that

tension; to live a life of

faith where you rest in

God and work so hard to

thank him for his

unconditional love. I'll

be back with you in a

moment to pray. [PASTOR

JESKE] What an exciting

ride it's been for me as

I've been sharing God's

word with you over all

these years. You've been

so generous with your

gifts and prayers;

together, we've taken the

news of God's love all

over the world. I want to

thank you. And that's the

reason I want to tell you

about an exciting new

opportunity to help

connect more people with

God's grace as we finish

out this year and move

into the next season of

spreading God's word

through Time of Grace.

You're still needed! Some

generous friends have

offered a $350,000

challenge grant. That

means that your gift today

will be worth twice as

much. When you give,

you'll help create more

Bible-centered resources

and you'll help people

watch Time of Grace all

around the world; people

like William in Costa Rica

who wrote: "These videos

help me. God has been

teaching me to trust in

him. Thank you." There are

many more people like

William who are finding

hope in Jesus through the

many Time of Grace digital

resources but many more

still need to hear. So,

please, take this to the

Lord in prayer today;

knowing that your gift

will be twice as much when

paired with the challenge

grant. To thank you for

giving, we'll send you the

book, "God's In The

Whirlwind." Request your

copy of this book when you

give now. Call

800-661-3311, visit

timeofgrace.org, or text

TIME to 313131.[PASTOR

MICHAEL NOVOTNY] Well, we

made it to the end of

another year! And God is

so good, isn't he? This

might have been an easy

year or a tough year but

God was so good because he

was consistently there. He

forgave us for every sin

for the past 365 days and

he is so full of

forgiveness that we can

start the new year with

confidence. So we here at

Time of Grace are so

thankful for your prayers,

your support, and we are

praying for you that God

blesses you in the year to

come. We have no clue

what's coming down the

road but we do know this:

That God's grace is

consistent and it will

always be there when you

need it the most. As we

continue to wrestle with

this tension between faith

and works, let's ask our

heavenly Father to give us

wisdom and bless us in a

word of prayer. Dear God,

We desperately need your

help with this. And if we

just focus on Jesus and

faith and not on

obedience, people will

live in sin and they'll

hurt each other and

they'll drift away from

you. But God, if we just

focus on works and

obedience, people are

going to be so burdened

that they'll never find

the freedom that Jesus

came into this world to

give. And so, we pray

today for help. For every

one of us as we look into

the mirror trying to

figure out if we should

apply faith or works, for

every one of us who's

raising children, trying

to figure out the right

way to discipline and

raise them so that they

find the freedom and joy

of following you in faith.

And for all of us in the

church, God, that we can

encourage one another to

take sin seriously but to

take your forgiveness and

unconditional love just as

seriously. God, help us.

We want to do this right

but without you, we can't.

So help us in the days to

come. I thank you, God,

already because I know how

you're going to answer

this prayer. You love to

help people figure out

this tension. So please

bless us, bless our faith

and bless our church

families. We ask this all,

Jesus, in your powerful

name, Amen. With Time of

Grace, I'm Pastor Mike

Novotny, and your faith,

which expresses itself

through works because of

Jesus, it all starts now.

[PROMOTION] [PASTOR JESKE]

You know, if you asked me

17 years ago what I

thought Time of Grace

would look like in 2018, I

would never have guessed

that we would be where we

are today. It's very, very

important to me that Time

of Grace not be limited to

my ability to continue to

do these things. It's very

important to me that Time

of Grace will have a

second act. After Easter

Sunday of 2019, Pastor

Mike Novotny will be

taking over as lead

speaker here on the Time

of Grace television

program. [PASTOR NOVOTNY]

When people walk into a

church, they just

automatically assume that

this is a place for good

people to get better

instead of for sinners to

be saved. I think

something that has been

going on for almost two

decades with Time of

Grace, is to truly love

the Bible and to love

people. So the style might

be a little bit different

and the screens might be a

little bit bigger but I

love the fact that it's

going to be consistent

with our message. It's

what people love about

your messages; I pray

they're going to get the

same out of mine, too. I

thought about just the

television audience -

400,000 people. I live

near Green Bay, Lambeau

Field, 81,000 when it's

packed for a Packer game.

Think of that - every

Sunday, like five straight

days, Time of Grace is

packing Lambeau Field and

people are leaning in to

hear a message about God's

grace. [PASTOR JESKE] I've

never been more confident

in our mission or our

future as I am right now.

[MUSIC]

[ANNOUNCER] The

preceding program was
