What Is Amanda Bynes Doing Now? Actress Makes 2018 Career Plans - Duration: 2:40.

What Is Amanda Bynes Doing Now? Actress Makes 2018 Career Plans

Amanda Bynes is ready to take the saying "New Year, new me" to new heights in 2018. The 31-year-old, who hasn't acted since 2010's "Easy A," is gearing up to return to the world of show business.

"Amanda is looking forward to ringing in the new year with her close friends this year," Bynes' lawyer told Page Six.

"In 2018, she looks forward to completing fashion school and dipping her toe back into acting. She has had several offers but is waiting for the right one to come along for a comeback."

A New Year's Eve celebration with friends and a slow return to acting sounds like the perfect way for Bynes to get back into the swing of things in 2018.

This news of the actress looking for the right project comes a few months after the same outlet reported that producers were "trying to reach" Bynes in April to start her Nickelodeon series, "The Amanda Show" up again.

While that didn't happen, the star did reveal in an interview with Hollyscoop's Diana Madison, her first in four years, that she does want to get back to acting, especially in TV shows.

"I do miss acting, and I actually have something surprising to tell you: I'm going to start acting again," Bynes said.

"I want to do TV, maybe a few guest spots on a show that I'm a fan of and maybe another TV show where I'm the star of in the future."

Bynes is currently finishing up classes at L.A.'s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

"I've learned how to sew, make patterns, and I want to start a clothing line in the future, so FIDM has been helping me with that," she said in the interview.

The three-years-sober star is working to put back together the pieces of her career and life after two hit-and-runs, a DUI in 2012 and a 2013 arrest for throwing a bong out of a window of her Manhattan apartment.

The new year will hopefully be the fresh start she wants for her acting career.

What A Billionaire Taught Me About Running A Business - Duration: 3:12.

In this video you're going to learn what a billionaire taught me about running a

successful business. Coming up.

What's up guys Jeremy Sherk here and what did I

learn from a billionaire about running a successful business? I will tell you. In

Vancouver, Canada there is a billionaire named Jim Pattison and he was quoted to

have said, "building a company on high turnover is like building a company on

quicksand." and that's it right there. Employee loyalty is everything. If you're

building a company and you have high employee turnover, your company is

literally on quicksand. You will not last in the competitive marketplace with

employees that are turning over at a high level.

It's the efficiency that you achieve from having an employee loyal to your

company, someone who has grown with you through thick and thin, someone who knows

your company inside out. That is irreplaceable. That is priceless. You

can't buy that. If people are leaving out the door you're bringing new people in,

you're having to retrain them, there's all this inefficiency, there's this shaky

foundation. So the message I want you to take today is treat your employees well.

If you're the type of business owner that motivates your employees through

fear and intimidation tactics, and you constrict their freedom & autonomy, and

breathe down their neck, and micromanage... that is a recipe for failure. In the book

Drive by Daniel Pink he discovered that we are innately motivated by three

things in the workplace. Autonomy, mastery, and purpose. If you can give your

employees those three things you are miles ahead of the majority of

businesses out there when it comes to the workplace and what you are offering

your employees as true incentives. It's not massive salaries and bonuses that

create loyalty, yeah you might get some good performance for a short while but

if that employee does not have the feeling of self-direction, the feeling of

control in their life coming to work for you. If they don't have the feeling of

mastery, which means if they don't have the feeling of growing

towards something and getting better at what it is

they're doing - not stuck in some stagnant position with a low ceiling on their

head where they have no room for growth. But instead they have the room to grow,

they have a clear plan on how to grow within your company and you provide them

that as a business owner - again, worlds ahead of the competition and the job

marketplace. And number three, purpose. If you can provide your employees with a

grander purpose to the work that they're doing. To create more than a job for them

but an actual mission and a vision towards working towards something. Making

the world a better place in some capacity. That is how you foster true

loyalty and high level performance from talented people. So remember guys

autonomy, mastery, and purpose. That is how you attract high level people and keep

them loyal as Jim Patterson said, without that loyalty you are on quicksand. Crush

that like button if you enjoyed the video. Tag a friend in the comments that

may need to see this, and we'll talk to you soon. Stay strong.

UNIFICATION DAY IN A FEW HOURS! What? Where? How? Why? When? NMS - Duration: 6:25.

In less than 24 hours the biggest multiplayer event in No Man's Sky history will be happening

as today is Unification Day

I wasn't originally going to make a video before hand about this, but then I realised

that some of you fine folk rely on me to keep you informed on what's going on in No Man's

Sky and that if someone missed out on the festivities purely because I couldn't be bothered

to make a video about it, I'd feel quite bad, so here is everything you need to know in

order to join in on the Unification Day multiplayer event and what it's about.

So first off is what it's about.

No Man's Sky has numerous individual player made civilisations, most of you would have

heard of the Galactic Hub, I myself am part of the Galactic Hub, it's where I made my

virtual home a little while ago when collaborating with Khraze.

Well, the Hub isn't the only civilisation, there's also the Aesir Ascendancy, Arcadian

Republic, Conure Republic, Deep Thought Collective, Dynasty Surveillance Bureau, Free Folk of

the Fringe, Galactic Empire of HOVA, Arcsinx Nexus, Galactic Pathfinders, Geknip Gang Hub,

Kingdom of Olpid, Nesdorinux Project, New Aquarius, No Man's Sky Love, Pandarian Empire,

Solarian Imperium, Seht Research Group, Spacing Guild and that's just in Euclid.

Hilbert & Eissentam have their own Galactic Hub, Budullangr has The New Hub Order, there's

also more like the Discovery Coalition.

Even after that there are more, but the ones listed have joined into a United Federation

called The United Federation of Travellers.

Each Civilization has it's seat at the table in the Federation Council.

The primary goal of the Federation is to pool game knowledge into a centralised wiki instead

of the previous more scattered approach of many keeping their own books while also keeping

the customs and practices of each Civilization intact.

As well as the info, the Federation also moves to help other hubs start off in areas currently

not populated in an organized manner.

and of course to massively aid communication within the No Man's Sky community.

Unification Day will celebrate the construction of the Federation but isn't just something

made up by the Federation, it actually has it's roots in No Man's Sky lore.

A redditer called Galactic_Glory bought up the idea to the Federation born from a Crashed

Ships Distress Beacon that read; "The Logs reveal that the pilot was celebrating

a festival known as 'Unification Day'.

Groups of similar minds, unable to meet but attempting to find one another, to claim worlds

accross time and space.

Once a year their various alliances, federations, hubs, and empires united to remember at that

they were, are, and could become in time..."

The writer for No Man's Sky who actually wrote this aknowledged the event on twitter stating

his appreciation.

Unification day will take place on the 30th of December at 5pm EST, which is 10pm GMT,

I'll be live streaming the event from 9:30 GMT until the end.

The meeting Planet is located in the Delta quadrant and can be traveled to by portal

with the following address on screen now.

The planet was chosen carefully and only requires the first 3 glyphs to dial increasing the

amount of player able to attend massively, and if you only have 2, don't worry, if you

head over to xainesworld.com/rareresources at the top of that list is a planet only requiring

the first 2 glyphs that has 2 graves marked by comms stations on PC and 4 graves marked

by comms on PS4 close to the gate, so head over to there and get you extra glyph so you

can join in on the fun!

Those who wish to travel via ship will be able to participate in an extra event.

As far as I have been able to tell, this address is being used for every galaxy, it is definitely

the address used on both PS4 and PC for Euclid.

I believe the Budullangr may be using the New Hub Order's capital, but I am not certain

on this.

As for the Scheduled Events; At 5pm EST/10pm GMT Unification day officially

begins, you have 15 minutes before the first proper event so go have a chat and take some

screenshots with what will likely be the most orbs you've seen in one place so far.

At 5:15 EST/10:15 GMT The Unification Communication will begin where travellers will be encouraged

to leave a communication station near the portal expressing something relating to either

the festivities or your experience in No Man's Sky.

At 5:30 EST/10:30 GMT My favourite event will start, it is an event that will likely end

in the deaths of many many travellers, and this is Barrel Racing.

A contest where players will compete to destroy the most sentinels in 15 minutes and not only

that, but you need to think about your strategy as the winner is the one who will be able

to show the most barrels left by the sentinels on the floor in view, so think about how you're

moving and where they're being destroyed, I'm unsure if this is from your HUD view or

camera mode, I suspect HUD view, but just incase take both.

Submit your screenshot to a Unification Day Staff member and a winner will be picked.

At 5:45 EST/10:45 GMT the Drag Racing will start, where players will coordinate to act

as checkpoints making a race course while others race using their exocrafts.

1 hour in at 6pm EST/11pm GMT The Photo Mode Scavenger Hunt will begin, unfortunately no

more information on this has yet been anounced, but it sound intrigueing, so keep an ear out

on the ingame voice chat and the wiki page for updates.

30 minutes after that will be the Terrain Manipulator Sculpting Contest where players

will compete to sculpt the best sculptures based on specific themes that will be anounced

on the official wiki 10 minutes before.

Then at 7pm EST/Midnight GMT the Starship Racing will begin, where those with their

ships to hand will be able to meetup at the local trading post and race to the space station.

30 minutes after that is the Nearby Attractions Tour, I think more was planned for this one

but as it currently stands there is only one nearby attraction listed and this is only

available on PS4 in Euclid, this is Unification Park located on a different planet, a monument

to this special day.

Then the finale at 8pm EST/1am GMT, the Unification Park Farewell, so I gather that even though

most locations won't have a built park, everyone will likely still headover for the goodbye

and photos etc.

And that's pretty much everything you need to know with some you probably didn't need

to know about Unification day.

Make sure that if you are able, you pop over and say hello even if it's just for 5 minutes,

this is an annual event, so make the most of it.

Remember that i'll be live streaming the whole event on this channel as well as twitch and

mixer, so even if you don't have the glyphs yet, you can still join in.

Hit that like button if it helped you, subscribe if you haven't already and maybe think about

checking out my patreon, a dollar a month is a great way to support the channel and

get early access to the videos, but above all, have an awesome day folks!

Feeding My Betta Fish (What I Currently Feed My Betta Fish) - Duration: 4:27.

hey y'all welcome back Mandy with my hectic life pets here where we talk

about all things pet and pet related and today I wanted to share with you what I

currently use to feed my betta fish so it is always best to try to give your

betta a varied diet and your fish in general so I wanted to share with you

some of the different products that I use to feed my fish and how I prepare

them and how frequently I feed them so for my dry foods I usually use the new

life spectrum community fish and my Omega one of freeze dried blood worms

and for my frozen food I really like the freshwater multi pack it has four

different types of foods in there so that way it doesn't take as much space

up in my freezer so it does have a large variety of foods in it some of the cubes

are going to be the freshwater frenzy emerald entre spirulina brine shrimp and

bloodworms so when I am preparing the pellets then I usually pick out a few

pellets then I soak them in the chlorinated water for about 30 minutes

once I'm done soaking them then I will usually drop them into my net to get the

water out and then dump the pellets back in to my container after I've prepared

the food then I'll usually use a pair of tweezers to grab out just a couple

pellets now I usually feed about one to three pellets per betta fish depending

on the size of my fish and I use the pellets to feed my fish on most days now

preparing frozen food is super easy I just pop a cube and

my container add some de chlorinated water and wait for it to thaw this

process usually takes about 10-15 minutes so I usually try and break open

a cube when I'm cleaning up the kitchen or making dinner or something I prepare

all my frozen food pretty much the same way not just with my bloodworms it's

really easy and a simple process it just takes a little bit of time for the food

to thaw out now that our frozen food has thawed out

I'm gonna take my net and rinse that off and I'm just going to flip the net over

and drop that into my container and now we've rinsed off all the nasty excess so

we can feed our betta now I'm just taking my tweezers and plucking out

about two bloodworms and dropping them into the tank for the

betta fish now when I'm feeding my mixtures then I usually take just a

small amount on my tweezers that's about the same amount as like maybe two

pellets would be so then we're just going to go ahead and plop that in or

the betta to eat okay so that's pretty much how I feed my betta fish I do try

to vary their diet and alternate between different food sources I did not add how

I prepare my freeze-dried bloodworms in this video I already do have a video for

that which I will put a link in the description below but that is pretty

much all there is to feeding my beta's that's all for today's video if you

liked it please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel where I post new

videos every week thanks for watching guys bye

What Is MCA - MCA Explained Simply - Duration: 6:38.

what's up Rockstar? It's Bianca Moore with B. Moore Successful Marketing. So you want

to know what is mca? well you're in luck today in this video

i'm going to explain to you what is mca alright so mca is a 24-hour roadside

assistance company that has been around since 1926

alright so let's say that you get your car stuck on the side road you may get a

flat tire or get your keys stuck in the car or you run out of gas mca will come

out to you and give you gas they will come and unlock your car if you're stuck

on the side of the road and you need a jump they're going to come out and help

you jump your car so that you can get back onto the road alright um if in a

situation where for whatever reason your car won't start what they will do is tow

your car up to a hundred miles to any destination that you want to go it could

be your house it could be the mechanic shop so they will do that for you

alright when you become a member with mca um they also have one hundred and

fifty thousand dollars worth of benefits in addition to the 24-hour roadside

assistance so you can get up to fifteen percent off or hotels that they are

partner with you can get up to fifty percent off one car rentals and you also

can get up to 50% off on vision discounts so like let's say you don't

have insurance okay a lot of people don't have insurance these days and this

could really help you out they give you up to fifty percent off so if you need

glasses all you have to do is show them your MCA card and boom you get up to

fifty percent off of those glasses if you need contact lenses any corrective

surgery or lasik surgery you get up to 50 percent off when you use your MCA

card I uh that also goes for prescription

discounts you get up to 65 percent off if you for whatever reason need a

prescription and again you don't have insurance MCA will help you pay for that

by giving you up to 65 percent off and you also get dental discounts you get up

to 50 percent off so you can go and get oral surgery you can go get x-rays

cleanings and oral exam and MCA is going to give you up to 50% off on that so you

don't have to worry about the hassles of you know not having insurance and stuff

like that MCA will definitely help you out all right so it also has a referral

service you know like a referral service where they pay you $80 per person that

you refer to their program alright so whether it be a person that

is interested in the business side of things or an actual customer who was

interested in the benefits and the roadside assistance services you get $80

all right and you're paid that following Friday via direct deposit okay so it's

no different from you know like a bank having a referral service where you

refer friends to their service so what I'm gonna do here is just type in you

know bank referral programs just to show you you know that other companies are

doing this too alright so there's several Bank referral services out here

as you can see as we scroll down this list

TD Bank is giving you $25 for every person that you refer to their bank and

the list goes on right here you can get $20 I'm not really sure what

simple is but they have a referral program so you know banks aren't the

only ones doing this it's gems it's cable companies and now

MCA all right but with MCA you're getting 80 freaking

bucks to refer someone to the program so to get started with MCA it's only $39.90

all right that's $19.95 for your first month and your last month's deposit and

then $19.95 a month if you want to keep the benefits and services that MCA

provides so once you join me in MCA I'm going to teach you how to market to the

masses on the internet I'm gonna teach you how to market on Facebook how to

market on Instagram how to market on YouTube and Google not only for people

who are looking to make money online but I'm also going to teach you how to find

a laser targeted audience of people who are looking for the services and

benefits that MCA provides all right so if you're ready to get started in making

your first five hundred dollars a week online go to lavish life extraordinaires

com alright I'm gonna have the link below in the description so go ahead and

click on that get started pay to $39.90 and let's go it's time to make money

it's time for you to get out of the nine-to-five hustle it's time for you to

have that financial freedom that you've been looking for it's time for you to

start living life and that's exactly what this mca business is going to do

with you all right and it's going to do for you this is Bianca Moore with B. Moore

Successful Marketing I hope this video explained to you what is MCA in the best

way possible I'll see you guys on the inside

Who Cares What THEY Think! Overcome Other People's Opinions and Your Own Self-Doubt with Brené Brown - Duration: 22:30.

Who Cares What THEY Think! Overcome Other People's Opinions and Your Own Self-Doubt with Brené Brown

this past weekend a really good friend of mine who lives in New York called and

said how are you feeling about the ninety nine conference and my answer was

what do you think is the least invasive way to extract eyeball juice from a

first grader and his response was Oh God are you in that place and I said no

really this is here's the idea there is a total pinkeye epidemic in my son's

class and if I could get some of the juice I could give myself pinkeye which

would be a legitimate excuse not to go and I can even like you know do a selfie

with like a big eye and then it would be legit and he said I thought you were

excited and I said I was excited but as I was working on my keynote I realized

that I had kind of tricked myself into believing that this was my tribe and

then I realized like my obsession with fonts doesn't really make me one of you

and he said well why did you know what was going on when you thought you were

one of them and I said I don't know I'm gonna have to think about it and he said

you're a researcher it doesn't necessarily mean that you're not you

know a creative and I said no these are the creatives these are the people that

no one sat with in high school and then everybody wants to be when they grow up

I'm a researcher no one set with us in high school no one still sits with us

so I thought about it and I thought okay so I'm a researcher I study connection I

study vulnerability I study love and then I realized why I thought you were

my tribe I think it's because design is a function of connection there is

nothing more vulnerable than creativity and what is art if it's not love so it

made sense to me to be here and then I thought okay 99% perspiration they said

don't talk about inspirational stuff talk about the how to's so you know my

name sometimes I name my keynote presentations things that will make me

feel better about being here so this one's called sweaty creatives because I

know what it means to be a sweaty creative because I create all the time

when I write the way I translate my research when I talk and I know what the

perspiration feels like and so what I want to talk about today is the

perspiration that no one talks about very often and that's not the

perspiration from the hard work and the laborious part of creating it's the

perspiration from fear from the cold sweat the stuff that pops up on our

eyebrows when it's not supposed to be there because we're presenting an idea

are talking about something that we care about and then we're begging our body

not to sweat like when they said we're filming you against black could you wear

something else I'm like no that 99% perspiration thing I'm down

with that I got that I won't be where I'll be worried I guess my option will

be Navy so I know about sweaty creatives so I want to tell you about something

that changed my life as a creative person and it's a quote from Theodore

Roosevelt and it is completely I mean I know it sounds cheesy and cliche I think

a quote can change your life but sometimes when you hear something when

you need to hear it and you're ready to hear it

something shifts inside of you and so my story is that I am a researcher and I

never thought I would have a big public career and so I did a TED talk that went

very viral and in the wake of that I was kind of everywhere for a couple of

months on every cnn.com NPR it was everywhere and something I wasn't used

to and the marching orders from my therapist and my husband were do not

read the comments online so I read all the comments online

it's a one morning I woke up and there were two or three new articles out and I

started reading the comments and they were devastating they weren't about my

work they were about me they were super personal and they were the things that

creative people play in their mind and then give up doing what they really want

to do like if I asked every single one of you you would try what would you try

if you knew people would never say this about you what would that what would

this be it would those were the comments that

morning of course she embraces imperfection what

choice does she have look what she look at how she looks I feel sorry for her

kids less research more Botox just mean personal attacks the things that really

up until that moment had inspired me to stay very small in my life in my career

just so I could avoid those things so that morning Steve and the kids leave I

stay home I get on the couch and I watch eight hours of Downton Abbey and when

it's over I don't want to turn off Downton Abbey because I then because the

minute you turn off Downton Abbey then it's like soccer practice and dinner and

back to the mean people and maybe should I get Botox and maybe you know maybe if

I stand still when I talk so I get at my laptop and I do a search for who was

president in the United States during the Downton Abbey era have you ever done

that like you're numbing with TV or movie and so when it's over you just

like stay in that space by like learning more about the actors and what's going

on I've been doing this long enough to know this is like you're laughing with

me so I put it in and Theodore Roosevelt

comes up and a quote comes up and I read it and this is what it says it's a quote

from a speech that he gave in the early nineteen hundred's of the Sorbonne and a

lot of people call them in the arena speech and this is the passage that

changed changes my life it's not the critic who counts it's not the man who

points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of Deeds could have

done it better the credit belongs to the person who's actually in the arena whose

face is marred with blood and sweat and dust who at the best in the end knows

the triumph of high achievement and who at worst if he fails he fails daring

greatly so the moment that I read that I closed my laptop and this is what

shifted in me three huge things first I spent the last 12 years studying

vulnerability and that quote was everything I know about vulnerability it

is not about winning it's not about losing it's about showing up and being

seen the second thing this is who I want to be I want to create I want to make

things that didn't exist before I touch them I want to show up and be seen in my

work and in my life and if you're going to show up and be seen there is only one

guarantee and that is you will get your ass kicked

that is the guarantee that's the only certainty you have if you're gonna go in

the arena and spend any time in there whatsoever especially if you've

committed to creating in your life you will get your ass kicked so you have to

decide at that moment I think for all of us if courage is a value that we hold

this is a consequence you can't avoid it the third thing which really set me free

and I think Steve my husband would argue has made me somewhat dangerous it's kind

of a new philosophy about criticism which is this if you're not in the arena

also getting your ass kicked I'm not interested in your feedback I I you know

if you have constructive information feedback to give me I want it and yeah

I'm an academic I'm hardwired for wrestling around with stuff like that

say hey you forgot all this literature hey you should have done this or you

terrible sentence construction over here like let's go let's do it I love that

but if you're in the cheap seats not playing yourself on the line and just

talking about how I could do it better I'm in no way interested in your

feedback so I know about the sweaty creative and so what I want to do today

is I want to talk very specifically about the arena this is where this is

where we swept how many of you know this feeling by just looking at the picture

yeah show of hands how many of you know this feeling so this is what we do down

here like I don't know what you didn't do

down here but what I set up camp down here I like stringing up twinkle lights

I order takeout food I live down here sometimes just dreaming about the day

that I come up and how awesome it's gonna be like but I stay down here a lot

and here's what we do what the arena's right there you can see it the lights

there and the fear is this I'm scared a lot of self-doubt comparison anxiety

uncertainty and so what do most people do when they're walking into the arena

and those things are going to greet them at up top what do you do you armor up

right this is where I would imagine the old days that they got all their stuff

on but God that stuff is heavy and that stuff is suffocating and the problem is

when you armed her up against vulnerability you shut yourself off and

I've said this to audiences before but I have never said it to an audience where

it is more true than today the second when you armor up you armor up in this

hallway you shut yourself off from everything

that you do and that you love because vulnerability is certainly a part of

fear and self-doubt and grief and uncertainty and shame but it's also the

birthplace of these it's the birthplace of love a belonging of joy trust empathy

creativity and innovation without vulnerability you cannot create so what

I think you're asked to do as a creative on a daily basis is walk through this

hall get to the top of the stairs and get naked

of course

get naked get really real put yourself out there and walk out there so people

can see you and see what you've made and see what you're doing so when we walk

out this is what we see lots of seats lots of people but we focus in and we

focus on this the critics I used to think the best way to put your work out

into the world is to make sure the critics are not in the arena but you

have no control over who's in the arena and the best way I have found is to know

that they're there and to know exactly what they're going to say to you because

each of you know the three seats that will always be taken when you walk into

the arena when you share your work with someone the three seats that will always

be taken are shame scarcity in comparison shame completely universal

human emotion we all have it it's that gremlin that whispers you're

not you're not enough or if you're feeling pretty confident like this I

went to dislike innocent when Scott was talking I went back and forth from like

like a ping-pong table with gremlins back from oh my god I'm

not enough I'm not enough - I can do this I can totally that oh who do you

think you are that's the other gremlin that's how it works like look at you you

big for your britches I clearly have Texas gremlins

I don't know that everyone says too big for their britches but that's what

migrant ones say so shame always has a seat the other seat that's always taken

is scarcity what am i doing that everyone what am i doing that's original

everyone else is doing this 150 people are doing that who are better trained

than on trend than I am what am i contributing does this really matter the

third seat always comparison how many of you ever struggle with comparison

comparison is it nightmare you know I made a pact not to talk to anyone in the

green room because what I was afraid that I would end up doing is say so what

are you talking about that's interesting because I'm going

first and so if it sounds super good and I think I suck comparatively I may say

that and then I'm catching a flight to Dallas comparison is always there the

fourth seat I left open for you you got an ad who's in the fourth seat

is it a teacher is it a parent is it a shitty ex-coworker am I the only one

that ever had one of those the thing is I don't care what people think

I don't worry about the critics in the arena sends a huge red flag up for me

we're hardwired for connection when we stop caring what people think we lose

our capacity for connection when we become defined by what people think we

lose our capacity to be vulnerable not caring what people think is its own kind

of hustle trust me so rather than locking these folks out

from the arena what I'm going to invite you to do this way maybe his reserve

seats for them which doesn't seem like a good thing to do but I have 13,000

pieces of data and I've done this work for 12 years and what I have found and

what I have learned from these folks and then try to apply it my own life that

has changed my life is to reserve a seat to take the critics to lunch and to

simply say when I'm trying to do something new and hard and original and

I'm trying to be creative and I'm trying to innovate to say I see you I hear you

but I'm gonna show up and do this anyway and I've got a seat for you and you're

welcome to come but I'm not interested in your feedback

the other piece that's tough is to me if you're gonna spend your life in the

arena if you're gonna spend your life showing up really showing up there's a

couple things that you need the first is a clarity of values you have to like I

know like when I came out here I knew I could screw this completely up I could

get booed offstage bad things could happen but I don't have a choice because

if courage is my value I have to do this whether it's successful or not it's

irrelevant so a real clarity of values is important

the other thing is you got to have at least one person in your life who's

willing to pick you up and dust you off and look at you when you fail which

hopefully you will because if you're not failing you're really not showing up but

who is willing to look at you when you fail and say man that sucked

yeah it was totally as bad as you thought but you were brave and let's get

you cleaned up and because you're gonna go back in and this is someone who loves

you not despite your imperfections and vulnerabilities but because of them and

they should have great seats in the arena like I forgot for 5/10 for a

decade I forgot to invite these people into my arena because you know it's the

old I always want to say Karl Marx but it's Groucho Marx difference I'm a

social worker we read a lot more karl than Groucho I didn't want to belong to

a club that would let me in I forgot to invite people because I thought if

you're if you're my fan if you're here supporting me how important could you be

like I'm trying to win over the people who hate me you simply love me you

simply hold my hair back when I'm puking you pay bills with me and raise kids

with me how important could you be I'm looking for the stranger in the mall

that's who I'm trying to win over

yes or no okay the last part is so I guess the real specific how to's are

this the world keeps going whether you know it or not the critics are in the

arena whether you identify them and think about the messages that keep us

small they're there whether you do that or not what I have found in my life and

what I've found in my research which fuelled what I did in my life is that

the people who have the most courage who are willing to show and be the most

vulnerable are the ones who are very clear about who the critics are the ones

who reserved seats for them and say I hear you I get it I know where the

messaging is coming from I'm not I'm not in I'm not buying it anymore so to get

very clear the last thing which I think is the hardest is this one of these

seats needs to be reserved for you one of these seats needs to be reserved for

me I need when we look up and we're putting an idea our piece of art our

design forward who do you think the biggest critic in the arena normally is

yourself and so definitely me like I have never watched either of those TED

Talks because it's not in service of the work for me and I try to do things that

are only in service of my work because what would what would it serve for me to

watch it I would sit there and go oh my god suck in your stomach oh my god

that's not what you were gonna say you know we're so self-critical and one of

the things that I think happens and I think this happens a lot it happens in

different professions but I think I see it a lot with creatives is there is an

ideal of what you're supposed to be and what a lot of us end up doing is we

orphan the parts of ourselves that don't fit with that ideal is supposed to be

and what it leaves when we orphan all those parts of us is it just leaves the

critic and so reserved in this seat is this where we came from how we started

our families that's me the oldest of course the lost years the years where I

was so lost and confused and hurt and disillusioned that I thought the only

path to freedom was a flock of seagulls haircut the height of the hair the

closer to God we say in Texas

the people who love us the moments that make us who we are and in that cheer

should be this person the person who believes in what we're doing and why

we're doing it and the person who says

yeah it's so scary to show up it feels dangerous to be seen it's terrifying but

it is not as scary dangerous or terrifying as getting to the end of our

lives and thinking what if I would have shown up what would have been different

so here's just what he creatives thank you all for having me here today I

really thank you for watching this video my friend I hope you really enjoyed it

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 2017 - Duration: 10:31.

Hey guys, it's Annika. Welcome to my channika.

It's been so motherf-ing long.

I don't even know if I'm still allowed

to post these videos, but . . .

today I'm gonna be doing my

what I got for Christmas haul

i know it's literally like by the time this goes up

its gonna be like January

But I was in Quebec

shook

I was in Quebec with my family for a really long time

and I wanted to wait until I got home

so I could do the presents

that I got from my friends

along with the presents that I got from my family

anyways I'm not trying to brag

in any way shape or form

feeling really hashtag blessed you know

so let's get poppin

I think first I'm gonna show you

what I got from my friends

and then I'm gonna show you

what I got from my parents

so first friend I'm gonna show you

is Liv Walters on YouTube

I f-ing love that b---

we did a little swap

but if you want see what I got her

then go check out her what I got for Christmas video

she's just the sweetest most genuine person ever

and I know that a lot of you guys watch her already

cuz like who the f-- doesnt

but if you don't then you should go watch her

but first thing that she got me was this

Phinneus and Ferb hoodie from red bubble

I f-ing love it

Phinneus and Ferb is like my favorite show ever

like not actually but like actually

their hair and their suits are tie-dyed

Yeah. So I really like that thank you so much Liv

she got me the color pop supernova eyeshadow

in the shade firecracker

I've wanted to try these ever since Kathleenlights

in her video on them

I'm also sorry I look really f-ing busted right now

that we're just gonna try and ignore that

I absolutely love this I have yet to like try it on my eyes

but swatched it's so pretty it's so pigmented

it's so light reflective I don't know

I nut every time

then she got me this set from the body shop

it's the spiced apple set

it came with a mini body butter

a mini shower gel and a mini loofah

those are in my shower right now but I'll put a picture

It came in a really cute little cardboard thing

anyway then she got me this

and I think this is my favorite thing that she got me

is the Jeffrey stone mini MUA Uranus skin frost

and this is just like the perfect shade of gold for me

and I'm really happy she knew that I wanted this color

so excited

the last thing that she got me

is this little string of fairy lights

I don't know if I'm gonna put in behind me

like over here where my bed is

or where my makeup table is I don't know

I'll be you know they'll be put to good use

now we're gonna go on to

what my brother's girlfriend got me

August, my brother, didn't get me jack sh--

he got me the gift of love but I wasn't feeling it

but his f-ing girlfriend got me something

first she got me this bullet journal that says

small boobs big dreams

and she had it custom-made for me on Etsy

and I'm so happy yeah

I think I'm gonna be using this

once I'm done with my current bullet journal

and then she also got me this

burgundy t-shirt that says Nap Queen

and I really like it really like comfortable

yeah I love Burgundy so thank you so much

I swear I have more friends. Okay.

Next I'm gonna show you what my friend McKinley got.

she got me these

dark chocolate-covered espresso beans

and I love these so much

she also got me these socks that say

it's a beautiful day and then don't fuck it up down here

I kind of want to take a picture with these

because they match my current feed

my red feed

she also got me this mug that says candy cane wishes

but autist f-ing drank out of it

and now it's dirty so

and she also got me the nut button

she's gonna give it to me on New Year's

because it didn't come when we were

exchanging gifts she got me the fucking nut button

and I'm so excited about it

Nut, nut, nut.

okay and then my friend MC

got me three concert tickets

to the quintet CII concert in February

at House of Blues

I'm so excited I f-ing love his music

She got one ticket for her

one ticket for McKinley and one ticket for me

and then that was my gift

and I guess McKinley's gift too

okay next I don't really know if this counts

as a Christmas gift

but I had a meet up in Montreal when I was in Quebec

it was literally the best experience of my f-ing life

and this really sweet girl named G ha

I think I'm pronouncing her name right

she gave me three face masks

I already used one

but she gave me three skin food face masks

she gave me the tomato one which I already used

this yogurt one and the thermal water one

she also got me this dual baked eyeshadow

from the face shop and I it was just so sweet

she also gave me a note

that was the sweetest thing ever

I'm gonna f-ing cherish it

so yeah thank you so much to hug

for watching this I love you and that was so f-ing sweet

when she gave it to me I was like crying I was so happy

okay next is from Rhianna

Rhianna is my best friend ever

I f-ing love that b--

She got me the Not your mother's

clean freak dry shampoo trio

and when I opened this

I just think this is such a good gift

so it comes with one a scented as warm sugar

which smells really good

she got me the unscented version

and the original version and I love his gift set so much

but then because she's the f-ing goat

she got me this lorac

mega pro 4 ...

oh wait ok bye

sorry my friend Ruben just told me

that he was outside of my house and I was like ok wtf

so she got me the lorac mega pro 4

I need to display it because this pink is literally like

these colors are really nice

I like it because a lot of the palettes

that I got for Christmas were super duper colorful

and this is a little bit more muted

II'm out of breath

but yeah I'm just really excited about this

but such a pretty palette has a really nice mirror

and I love the lorac Pro formula

thank you so much Rhianna. i love you

ok so those are all of the things

that I got from my friends

and now I'm gonna move on

to what I got for my parents

nothing from August though

because he's a piece of sh--

I got so many pairs of pants

I got two pairs of elephant pants which I asked for

and I'm so happy that I got them

I got these olive green ones

and then these kind of magenta ish ones

yeah oh my god these are super comfortable

I've been living in them

oh this isn't pants

but I got the Victoria's Secret bombshell bra in black

I'm super excited about this

because your bitch has small ass t--es

I don't think I've ever seen a bra

more f-ing padded than this

okay and then I got two pants from brandy melville

first I got these blue and white checkered printed ones

I thought that this would look super cute

with like a black turtleneck

and I kind of want to get one and hoops

and maybe my hair like a half-up half-down

I'm really specific when it comes to outfit planning

But I don't know I can think of so many different ways

to wear these and I think they're super cute

and I also like how they can be casual

but also dressed up to be more professional

and then I got another pair

this is like a black and white pattern

it's just kind of like that you know

then I got the black old school checkered vans

I'm so f-ing excited

I know that these are basic

but I've been wearing my Adidas Superstars

for a year and a half

and they've been out of style for like two years

so these were much-needed

I know that they're really basic

but they're really comfortable and they match everything

and I just need shoes that match everything

that's what the superstars did for me

yeah these are in a size seven

if you care okay then for palettes

I got the storybook Cosmetics burn book palette

this is I think this is my favorite one

out of the palettes that I got

absolutely gorgeous and I need to display it

but it comes with some beautiful colors

my favorite one is the GU rule

it's this beautiful foiled green shade

oh my god you're gonna nut. Okay

Do you f-ing see that?

and also like there's still more on my finger

like it's just so pigmented so pigmented

i absolutely love it i can't wait to display it

and it also came with a really cool bag and a bookmark

which is right here

I don't know I just thought that was cool

and I got this Zoeva matte spectrum palette

I've tried this out a few times

and I absolutely love the colors

that blend so well

and I'm so f-in happy that I got this

and then the last palette that I got is the

morphe 35o palette another f-ing colorful palette

this just has every single color that you need

and I've been fangirling over this palette for f-ing months

they're all exciting but this is one of the ones

that I'm most excited for

I got a 12-month boxycharm subscription

I already ripped up the box and everything

but I'm gonna show you what I got

the total value . . . Wait, I need to add it up.

the total value of the January box

was 131 dollars and it was only twenty bucks

so I'm really excited

I'm gonna be doing monthly boxycharm unboxings

but this month I got the real her blush kit

that looks like this and it's super pretty

and the colors are not super pigmented

which is what I like in a blush

and that was $32 which

then I got this beauty a has a little accent mark over the e

so Bute basic Sirhan's essentials

little legs kind of like the hourglass palette

I don't really know how I'm gonna use it

but this middle shade I really like it

and that retails for 40 bucks are you f-ing serious?

are you f-ing taking a piss right now?

no f-ing way this is 40 bucks

that's bullsh-- okay

Then I got this pretty vulgar my lips are sealed

lightweight liquid lipstick

it's kind of a foil liquid lipstick

I'm just really excited

that we got something pretty vulgar

I got the Tarteist mascara

I'm really excited to try this out

and then last I got a crown brush

it's the crown it elects blush brush

but I feel like I'm gonna use it for contour

just because that's what the shape is best for

I'm big at thank you so much

I'm so excited for this bulking time subscription

I like it because it's the gift that keeps on giving

okay now I think I just have

my bullet journal related things that I got for Christmas

my mom got me a bullet journal

along with August girlfriends

but we think that we're gonna return this one

i absolutely love how it's white and it's dotted

and it's just like it's the perfect it's a luke turn bullet journal

which is the one that i currently have

and i love with turn bullet journal

we think that we're gonna return it

i could just keep it but like it's not really necessary

i can just get it if i need it

especially since i already have a bullet journal

next in line so yeah but thank you so much mom

I really appreciate that

that was super sweet that she thought

if I got these stickers

which I shouldn't be so f-ing excited about stickers

but there's this Etsy shop called planning with Kay

and playing with cans of youtuber

Sheila's bullet journal video

and she just has such amazing handwriting

and drawing skills

so she made a bunch of stickers

that are good for your bullet journal

and I'm gonna be using these in them

and I'm super excited

I've already used a bunch of them as you can tell

so yeah I'm super excited about those

I already purchased more of them

because I love them so much

they're really good quality

they're just like really hard to remove

so like once you put them down you're f-ing done

so like careful and strategically

then I got like billion of these tombow who knows people you know

Sookie I don't really know how to say them

brush pens the hardtipped ones

I f-ing love these for hand lettering

ever since I got these my hand lettering

has just been so much better

and I'm excited to start practicing with them

and maybe get good at it now

and then the last thing that I got

which is my favorite present

I'm so f-ing happy that I got this

is the it's the serene life Pickett pile printer

and so it's a little photo printer

that connects to your phone through Wi-Fi

and then it prints out pictures from your phone

and I'm so excited

I put in a bunch of metal already

and they just look so nice and

this is a good ash quality photo paper

mom told me that she was deciding

between this and a Natasha De Niro

I'm so f-ing excited that you chose this

because I love it so much

I think that's everything that I got

I think I'm like scanning the room

to make sure I didn't forget anything

if I forgot anything I'll put it on the screen right now

I'm so grateful for everything that I got

I sound like a fucking beauty guru I want to die

sorry if this video was like super beauty guru

II I wasn't really like

I get a Christmas one five super fast this year

and I'm like kind of triggered that it's already over

I guess that's it

but yeah thank you guys so much for watching

What if DIO Became the Ultimate Lifeform? - Duration: 7:40.

So, long story short, a friend of mine asked me what would happen if Dio was the one to

become the ultimate life form instead of Kars.

I was massively confused on how Dio would even get his hands on the stone masks and

red stone of aja, but remembered that there is an Ultimate Lifeform Dio in Jorge Joestar.

We usually don't talk about that at all since the novel is what it is, and the scenario

doesn't have to be based around that at all.

Now, how would we go about this.

Well, I'd like to go with Part 3 Dio since he's the strongest version between the two

versions.

I'd also like to make him the same Dio around the time of the N'Doul fight since I also

want to ask the question, "How would Ultimate Dio affect Stardust Crusaders".

Now, I'd like to think that Dio's intelligence should be around the same level as the Pillar

Men, and along with having more under his sleeve.

Since the Pillar Men were beaten by street kid like Joseph, I'd like to think that

Dio is now above that since he's matured around 100 years and he was toughed more than

Joseph.

Where will this intelligence matter?

Not sure, I just brought it up just because.

I doubt that knowing underhanded street tactics help you understand evolution and your new-found

form.

It's odd, but it's possible that now Dio has an IQ over 400 he will know not to use

his stand for combat if it's not ready.

But, since he's the ultimate lifeform, he's fully developed.

Which means that The World should be stronger than Star Platinum.

While Jotaro is at a peak, Dio's peak is higher and now the sky's the limit for him.

Well, it's not like his stand has limitless strength, there's a limit to that, but now

he can lengthen his time stop to who knows how long.

Heaven Ascension Dio has infinite so there should be a line between that and what Ultimate

Dio is now capable of.

So, what is he capable of now aside from his stand.

I'm not sure.

He's unkillable unless you atomize Dio or destroy his stand since that's how that

should work.

Well, that's how that should work when we're talking from experience.

In both times where Dio was defeated, his regeneration wasn't instant.

Along with that, the first time he was destroyed, he couldn't recover from it since he wasn't

a full vampire.

So, say that you have instant regeneration and with that you have regeneration from even

the smallest piece of you.

By small I'm talking about cellular level small.

He can also turn into a bird, turn his feathers into tigers, turn the hair on the tigers into

snakes, being the Ultimate Lifeform basically gives you the limitless card, it's an insane

form.

The thing is, what do you do with all of this power?

Well, the thing about being the Ultimate Lifeform, it doesn't change motives or how you would

act.

We see that with Kars.

He still retained he cocky demeanor and still got ahead of himself.

Since Dio still has his same plans, he'd still go ahead with his Heaven plan.

Now, before I go ahead and turn this into a whole different shift in plot let's take

note of where Dio would stand now.

He would easily be the strongest stand user that will ever touch the world, not because

of his stand, but now of the power he has aside from stand.

He doesn't even require his stand for the most part if he wants to fight against any

of the stand users in part 3.

He can put The World on the back burner and only use time stop without requiring the extra

strength from his stand.

Now, to make this story as bizarre and hopefully as accurate as possible (and I'm using that

term loosely), let's see where Dio takes off after destroying the Joestars.

Bringing Pucci back into the picture, Dio shows him this new power and tells him about

continuing the heaven plan.

There's two paths after this.

Either Dio helps Pucci out and lets him in on the whole Ultimate form deal, or they just

continue and Pucci blindly follows Dio.

The first one is the most interesting, while the second is probably the most accurate.

I didn't see Made in Heaven Pucci in the Eyes of Heaven story so that makes make question

the accuracy of what's to happen.

Well, they have him in his C-Moon form which means that he should be able to achieve Made

in Heaven with the game logic, and it also means that Dio helped him out and didn't

have Heaven be his only goal.

Problem with this is that if it was Made in Heaven Pucci in the Eyes of Heaven story then

Jotaro should've gotten easily defeated, but enough with that.

Let's make this clean and cut.

You have Ultimate Dio and Pucci, Dio turns Pucci into a vampire, and then turns him into

an Ultimate life form.

Or he just makes him Ultimate from the get go who knows.

Now that they're both Ultimate they go about their Heaven plan which should be extremely

easy.

14 phrases and 36 sinners later, you have Heaven Ascension Ultimate Lifeform Dio and

C-Moon Ultimate Lifeform Pucci.

Or, if we're going to go with what made sense and now how the game works, Made in

Heaven Ultimate Lifeform Pucci.

Before all of that happening, and retrieving some brain matter because the idea of something

like this being possible is ridiculous, but it sort of is since Jojo gets away with the

alternate universes deal.

I want to go back to something Dio did before and couldn't do in Stardust Crusaders.

That thing being Dio's hobby in creating chimera type creatures.

Since he has the ability to do it now, he could go abut that before going towards his

heaven plan.

It's also possible that he wouldn't do that at all and just get straight down to

business so, yeah ok.

Now, since we're going deeper into the rabbit hole, where does Heaven Ascension Ultimate

Dio stand in comparison to other stand users.

Well, by now you would hope that he would be strong enough to rewrite a lot of things

that was wrong with him, and modify himself to the point where he would be unable to be

defeated unless you normalize his reality overwrite ability with your own, and you can

atomize him.

Maybe rewrite yourself so that your insane ability isn't only in your hands, and it's

a passive power that you just have.

Which also means that he's now stronger than Star Platinum: The World Over Heaven.

So now, he's the definitive strongest stand user there could be.

Plus, imagine putting wings on to his Heaven Ascension form.

I was thinking about this and I wanted to make another video on who could the duo of

Heaven Ultimate Dio and Pucci defeat in fiction, but that's a later thing.

So, this all sounds cool and I'm enjoying the idea of it.

I'd like to see the form with out outrageous this all sounds, but then I remember that

this is Jojo.

Which means that if there's a Dio of this caliber, there's a Jotaro that's even

stronger than him.

So, after going across universes and destroying the Joestars of those universes, sooner or

later he's going to encounter Heaven Ascension Ultimate Jotaro.

I have no clue how he would get it out of all people, but it's possible.

I'm not sure on how many universes Dio would have to go through to finally go to one where

he gets bested, but I'd like to think it's above the hundreds since that's just insane

thing for Jotaro to become.

I think you'd see Star Platinum Requiem before you see that form of Jotaro.

Well, after that all happens, Dio gets defeated and doesn't exist anymore, all is good with

the infinite universes.

That's pretty much it.

Now Kaleb why would you do this?

Well, I kind of already addressed that in the beginning, but hey who knows.

Maybe it's showerthought, maybe it's a genuine question people ask, or maybe it's

so I could get some art work of Heaven Ascension Ultimate Dio and Pucci along with The World

Over Heaven and Made in Heaven artwork sent to me on my twitter which you can follow @Kaleb_IA

that's also possibly linked in the description.

Who knows.

Personally this isn't something I'd ask about, but I think about those joke stand

names that get ridiculously long and want to know how that would work.

I might actually do it one day because, hey why not.

Thank you guys for watching, I do extremely random videos like this sometimes, hope you

guys enjoyed it.

Hopefully I'll see you all in the next one.

We're going to give Saitama a stand.

Until then, peace out and God speed.

WHAT GOT YOU INTERESTED IN JAPAN? Ask Foreigners in Japan what got them into Japanese culture. - Duration: 7:43.

- Which kind of martial arts do you do? - Kendo.

It's something that is present in my everyday diet.

So yeah, I was very excited to come here.

And photos of my friends on Instagram, that I definitely want to visit.

Hey guys, it's Cathy Cat. And today we are going to ask foreigners

who have come to japan

what actually got them so much into Japanese culture

that now decided to actually come here.

Let's go and Ask foreigners in Japan!

- What was the first thing that got you into Japan? - It were the games...

- The gaming industry mostly. - It was the gaming culture overall.

And we most of all, before we met each other,

we both said that we always wanted to go to Japan.

So when we met each other we said, let's just go.

So we just committed to it. It was good!

When did you started seeing the first things of Japan? How old were you?

Ages ago. Like, I was a kid and I always wanted to go cause it all

looked so lit up and magical.

It's all the stereotypes. Like the neons and all the signs.

It kind of enjoys you.

What was the game got you into Japan?

Was it Zelda, or was it something else?

Or was it more like a combination?

Super Mario maybe... Typically and technically Nintendo stuff.

We passed the Nintendo building in Kyoto and I was like, "oh, my god!".

I'm going to sound like an idiot, but the Sega is traditionally Japanese, isn't it?

- It is, yes! - I love Sonic. It's the first game I've ever played really.

All that. Nintendo and Sonic.

From when I was a child... Probably from video games.

And also from the language.

- I do martial arts and I also study Japanese. - Right!

- Which kind of martial arts do you do? - Kendo.

Same here. When I was a child I liked to watch TV (anime) and play video games.

And I really like the sound of the language.

Like, the way you write the symbols.

And in general I like foreign cultures.

Anything you like about the Japanese culture in particular?

The fashion! I think I love the fashion and the make-up.

I think games, straight from the start. I always played with my family

when I was small. It was a family thing.

So it gave me a feeling connected with Japan.

- And your favourite game as a child? - Legend of Zelda.

I can't really say. I don't really remember.

I always kind of liked it and it just developed.

So there was always something that was added to my interests.

At first I didn't knew it was Japanese when I first played video games

but I always kind of happened to grab Japanese games.

Your very first favourite Japanese game?

My very first favourite... I think Kingdom Hearts. I really love Kingdom Hearts.

I think the food i s first. And the manga and things like that.

- For myself the tea, for example. And all the pottery.

- So more the traditional Japanese crafts?

In a way, yes. To drink tea from special glasses and cups from Japan.

Manga and tea.

The difference between traditionalism and modernism.

It's a big clash right? We are standing right in the centre of modernism.

Yes. For example, between the old castle in the other part of Tokyo

Food and shopping!

I'm from Peru and there are a lot of Japanese people in my country.

So I always wanted to visit Japan.

I went for a work trip to Australia and thought that this would be a perfect

timing to visit Japan.

So I'm very excited to be here.

Because it had such a large influence. Like in anime...

I grew up with watching Dragonball for example.

And I also love sushi.

It's something that is present in my everyday diet.

So yeah, I was very excited to come here.

Since she coming too, we decided to come together.

So that's it. I've never been to Asia before and I wanted to see Japan first.

- So you just got curious by her. - Yeah!

How did you then, in country back home, in the USA...

What's the first thing that got you in touch with Japanese culture?

Was it food, samurai, anything...

Probably the sushi. Its the food that is the easiest thing.

And I live in New York, which is very multicultural

so there are a lot of different restaurants.

And you eat a lot of different types of food.

And I think that Japanese food and Teppanyaki and the grill..

You know, there are all different kinds of cool foodie thingies.

Food, definitely food! And culture.

- Way of living... I don't know, everting! Technology.

- And anime and manga too!

- Dragonball. - Don't be shy, be proud of it!

Anime and manga is important for the subculture here.

We came here not just sightseeing, but also for the food,

the culture and the people.

Just for everything!

Technology. Just everything.

It's feels like we're from light years ago, so for us this is beautiful.

Yeah, it feels like we have arrived here in the future.

Everywhere you go.

Were we come from, it's very different. It's a very different way of living.

So this is cool!

We came for the snow, together with our aunt and uncle

so that was amazing. And eating all the different foods. That was sooo good!

We are loving the sushi. And the ramen is so good on a cold day.

- Yeah, it's amazing! - Right!

Before you came here for the first time,

what was the first exposure you've got with Japanese culture?

Probably sushi.

And photos of my friends on Instagram, that I definitely want to visit.

I did a bit of Japanese in the third year of school.

But I can't really remember much apart from "konnichiwa" and "sayonara".

- Oh great! So you're first exposure was Japanese class? - Yeah.

But it was at primary school so I don't remember much.

I'm actually interested in the cars and such.

I compete in drifting and it's quite big over here.

So that kind of brought me here. But also the culture.

Because it's so different from what we have back home.

Okay, explain to me what you just said. W- what, drifting...? What's that?

Drifting is like sliding a car around corners

around on a race track.

It's very popular here in Japan.

Well, it started here in Japan and spread itself all over the world.

So I wanted to come here to see where it all started.

Fast & the Furious?

- Sort of like that, yes. - Exactly!

- Shibuya crossing! - Yeah, exactly.

- That's here! - Exactly.

I grew up in Hong Hong, so the Asian aspects are really familiar to me.

I was happy when he said he wanted to come here. And so I said yes.

And for him its also the car-thing.

Was the car- thing the first thing that got you in touch with Japanese culture,

or was there anything before when you were younger?

I probably was the cars. I did also watch some anime and such.

So that kind of got me in it as well.

And I think because the culture is so different from what we have...

It's just nice to go somewhere that is a bit out of your comfort zone.

It's fun.

Thank you so much!

So we had the general things.

The pop- culture. Anime, manga, gaming. Jpop, those kind of things.

The things that everyone loved from the pop- culture.

But many people also mentioned the food!

And they had a good point there, because Japanese food is absolutely amazing!

And you'll be able to taste flavours you've never tried before.

So what initially got you into the Japanese culture?

I'm curious to find out!

So, leave us a message down below. Looking forward to reading it.

And, catch you soon on Ask Japanese!

What happens if a plane is struck by lightning? - Duration: 1:25.

Smart Learning for All

What happens if a plane is struck by lightning?

It will start glowing like a disco ball.

No.

Lightning is a massive flow of charge which carries thousands of volts of electric current.

Thus, it is extremely fatal for living beings and can damage anything that comes in its way.

Yes.

It is really terrifying.

Now many times, airplanes get caught in a heavy lightning storm.

However, airplanes are designed to handle the lightning strikes.

The outer skin of most planes is primarily made of aluminum.

Aluminum is a good conductor of electricity.

When lightning hits the airplane, the electric current travels through the outer skin of the plane.

It does not pass into the plane.

Eventually, it exits off through another extremity, such as tail.

Thus, the airplane and the passengers within remain protected.
