Tomi Lahren Attacked At Restaurant - Duration: 12:44.

Tomi Lahren Attacked At Restaurant, Gets Unexpected Response

Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren was the victim of an assault at a Minneapolis restaurant

on Sunday when she was having brunch with her mother Trudy.

However, the response that came after the assault was completely unexpected.

The video showed Lahren and her mother leaving the UNION Restaurant in downtown Minneapolis

when she passed by the table of a group of patrons who did not like her politics.

A woman at the table flung a cup of water in Lahren's face before other customers

at the restaurant started yelling hateful rhetoric at her.

Devan Madison was a witness to the incident and said that his friend was Lahren's server.

"My friend told me she [Tomi] was extremely rude and had a big attitude."

The bouncer, Jeremy Jackson, explained what happened when he went to handle the incident.

He said that the Fox News personality noticed that a group at the next table was "scowling

at her," and as she walked past their table as she was leaving, she said, "Just another

day in the life."

According to Jackson, that is what sent the woman over the edge and into attack mode.

"I said [to Tomi] 'I'd like to separate you all if can please,'" Jackson said

he told Lahren, to which she responded, "You're just going to kick me out for them throwing

water?

Unbelievable."

Lahren appeared on "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday to address the incident.

"This was something that was embarrassing for me and embarrassing for my family.

At the end of the day, I'm a person too.

And I do get humiliated and embarrassed just like anyone else," she said.

"But I'm tough, my family's tough.

We can handle it."

"Unfortunately there was a group of people probably around my age that thought it would

be funny to throw water at me and then start chanting profanity and, again, not something

that I'm not used to but really disheartening," she said.

Lahren said that she gets that there are disagreements on politics but that attacking someone is

not the way to handle it.

"It's really disheartening.

But again, I'm tough, I can handle it," she said.

She acknowledged that there were some who are normally opponents of hers that have come

to her defense, among them comedian Kathy Griffin.

"There are people that normally detest me, and they're coming to my defense, at least

on this incident," she said.

"So maybe moving forward, those that thought it was funny to throw water at me or antagonize

others with my viewpoints, maybe they'll see that's not the cool thing to do."

"I couldn't disagree more with @TomiLahren, but I don't think it's cool to resort

to physical actions to make your point," Griffin said.

"The first amendment is a beautiful thing – use it."

No matter who you disagree with on politics, be it Lahren or Griffin, it is never appropriate

to physically attack that person.

As Griffin noted, that is why we have

a

First Amendment.

Use it.

Sad Mom Eats Alone On Mother's Day, That's When Restaurant Staff Takes Matters Into Own Hands - Duration: 2:38.

Sad Mom Eats Alone On Mother's Day, That's When Restaurant Staff Takes Matters Into Own

Hands.

Mother's day is a special day for many mothers.

These women nurture and love, support and encourage their children.

For this one day every year, we honor these women who give so much of their lives and

themselves to those they see as their children.

But some women don't receive the proper recognition they deserve on this very special

of days.

Some children have lost their mothers.

Distance might separate mothers from their children.

Barbara Foy of Horry, South Carolina has a son; she hasn't heard from him in some time.

She thought perhaps he might call her on Mother's day.

Sadly, he didn't.

Barbara decided to treat herself to lunch at a local Ruby Tuesday's.

It was here when her day would do a complete 360.

While her server chatted with Barbara, she learned that the woman dining alone had no

one to celebrate Mother's day with.

Saddened and moved, Christianna Smith, Mariah Brown, and Kabria Hasty opted to do something

about it.

The servers put a gift basket together for Barbara; after they presented it to her, they

notified her lunch was on them.

A customer heard what the staff had done and gave her a rose too.

"I think we were all almost in tears by the end of the story," said Lauren Nave,

the restaurant's manager.

"We wanted to make sure that she knew how special she was on Mother's Day."

BARBARA WAS DEEPLY TOUCHED BY THE GESTURE, TELLING EVERYONE "I REALLY FELT LIKE I WAS

QUEEN FOR A DAY…MOTHER FOR A DAY!

I'VE NEVER BEEN MADE TO FEEL SO SPECIAL."

Foy plans to take the women out to a lunch date to repay them for what they did, but

she feels the impact they made on her is impossible to reciprocate.

Ruby Tuesday is trying to repay them, too: As a token of their appreciation, they're

giving Smith, Hasty and Brown $1000 each.

"This is a life-changing experience for me.

Those girls are so special, the managers, all of them — couldn't have shown me so

much kindness.

They told me I was part of their family," Foy said.

That night around midnight, Foy reached her son on the phone and told him about her day.

He was blown away.

"HE DOES LOVE ME," SAID FOY AS SHE CHUCKLED.

"I BET HE WON'T FORGET MOTHER'S DAY AGAIN OR FORGET TO CALL HIS POOR LITTLE MAMA."

Every mother should be treated like a queen and not just on Mother's day.

The folks at Ruby Tuesday's are rockstars for making Barbara feel so special at a time

when she needed it most.
