- Hi, I'm Clark.
Let's charge up our batteries and learn about the
Typhoon H Pro's two remote controllers.
First, assemble the charger and plug it into a wall outlet.
A green light will flash and you'll hear a beep
when the charger is ready to begin charging.
Then, attach the battery.
You can charge the ST16 controller at the same time
by plugging its USB cable into the side
of the smart charger.
When the battery is fully charged,
you'll see a solid green light and hear a tone.
That will give you about 22 minutes of flying time.
Now let's go over the ST16.
This remote controller and its operating system
are loaded with features.
The built-in seven inch touchscreen
shows you a live 720p feed from the drone's camera.
While you're flying, you'll see a lot of telemetry
information on the screen including,
your flight mode, altitude, speed over ground,
distance from home, camera setting, GPS coordinates,
aircraft battery status, and more.
That's quite a controller.
Let's go over the controls on the ST16.
At the top is a red button that you push
to start and stop the motors,
so don't press this while you're drone is in the air.
On the other side is the landing gear switch.
Raise the landing gear so the camera has a clear
view while flying.
Just remember to lower the landing gear before you land.
Between the antennae, there's an HDMI port
for external output.
On the back of the ST16 controller,
there are two roll wheels.
One on either side.
The roll wheel on the left tilts the camera up and down,
the one on the right controls the speed.
For your first flight,
start with this wheel in the tortoise position.
As you get more experience, you can speed it up.
The controls for the gimbal are in the upper left corner.
In the upper right,
you have the sonar obstacle avoidance switch,
and also the flight mode switch.
Again, if it's your first flight,
start with that switch in smart mode.
The left joystick controls the up and down movements
and rotates the drone to the left and right.
The right joystick controls the
forward, backward, left, and right movements.
Near the bottom of the screen on either side
are two buttons.
The still photo button is on the left,
and the video record button is on the right.
Below the screen is the power switch.
The Typhoon H Pro comes with a second
remote controller called the Wizard.
What's cool is that one person
can fly the drone with the Wizard,
while the other can run the camera with the ST16.
The Wizard can also act as a homing beacon
for your Typhoon H Pro.
That means the drone will follow and track
the Wizard wherever it goes.
There's a lot of other features with the ST16
and the Wizard, so check out the manual for more details.
Now, let's get this drone assembled and ready to fly.
