The German finally made his Premier League bow this weekend after a long wait on the Gunners' bench

Leno has had to be patient since his £19.3m switch from Bayer Leverkusen this summer, his only previous appearances had come in the Europa League and Carabao Cup

When Petr Cech was forced off on the stroke of half-time against Watford, Leno was on hand to show his boss Emery why he believes he deserves to be first choice

The 26-year-old made a superb save to deny Troy Deeney to prevent the Hornets from going in front

Throughout Emery's decision to keep Cech as No 1, the Spaniard was honest with Leno and told him where he stood

"It's difficult to sit on the bench but the coach said to me, 'Don't be sad or disappointed, just train hard'," said Leno

"He has worked with many goalkeepers and it is a specialist position – it needs a little bit more time for your personality, confidence and to get a feeling for the team

"I was calm and worked hard every day and the coach gave me the time. "It was a good start to save the first shot

It was important for the team not to concede the first goal and of course it was good for my confidence

"Now Petr is injured, I have the opportunity to play more games and show the coach my quality

"When I joined the club, he said he liked the style I play because he wants to play different football than before but he did not say I was going to be No 1, No 2 or anything else

He just told me to focus on performance. "Some weeks ago he told me to stay calm because I played for just one professional club in Germany and it is a new country, a new language and everything is new for me

My chance came here, and it was good." Arsenal are now in fine form after enduring a difficult start to their campaign

They have recorded seven wins in a row in all competitions, including five in the league which has seen them close the gap on the top four

The Gunners now face a long trip to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag in the Europa League before taking on Fulham in an all London derby

WHAT IS #OWNVOICES? | THE POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES | DIVERSITY 101 | xreadingsolacex [CC] - Duration: 12:44.

Hello you gorgeous individuals, it's Kav here and welcome back to episode three of

Diversity 101. If you're new here, Diversity 101 is a series I run on my

channel where I kind of break down some of the basics of diversity and diversity-

related topics and make specific videos dedicated to conversations about those

topics. So I have two previous videos the first one is titled: 'What is Diversity?'

It's basically an introduction to the series and it focuses on what the terms

diversity and representation mean and the difference between the two. And then

I have a second video that I made earlier this summer that's about

diversity within the book reader and reviewer community and how to support

content creators from marginalized backgrounds. Now this third episode is

dedicated to the ownvoices movement - the term ownvoices, what it means, why

it's important, and the positives and negatives of this term because it's a

term that gets thrown around a lot and it's something people involved in this

part of the book community talk about a lot, but I think sometimes we need to

step back and actually take a look at what term we are throwing out there, what

word we're using, and what it actually means, so that's what I wanted to discuss

today. So without further ado, let's get started.

So the term ownvoices started as a twitter hashtag that was coined by a

sci-fi author named Corinne Duyvis who created the term in September of 2015

when certain important discussions were being had. She coined this term in order

to "recommend kidlit about diverse characters written by authors from the

same diverse group" and those are exact words that I pulled from her exact tweet.

So since then the term has kind of taken on a life of its own and gets used a lot,

specifically in many book twitter discussions, it's kind of just grown and

become something bigger than it started out as. So what does the term ownvoices

really mean? The term ownvoices means that the content creator or the reviewer

in question shares the same identity as the marginalized character they are

creating or reviewing. For example, a book like When Dimple Met Rishi is ownvoices for

Indian-American representation because the author, Sandhya Menon, is Indian-

American herself, so she shares the same identity as the two main characters,

Dimple Shah and Rishi Patel. This is true of many different pieces of work,

that was just the first one that came to my mind because the book is right there

on my bookshelf, but there are many, many different pieces of media and literature

that share this same ownvoices representation either on the author's side,

as the author or content creator created this character, or on the reviewer's side

meaning that the reviewer shares the same identity as the character they're

reviewing. For example I am an ownvoices reviewer of When Dimple Met Rishi because

I myself am also Indian-American, so I share the same identity as Dimple Shah

and Rishi Patel. So you might be wondering why is this important? Why do we care

about this? why does this matter? The reason this matters is that for a

long time and even still today, the stories of marginalized people haven't

been falling into the hands of marginalized people. They haven't been in

control of the people who have truly lived these experiences and who truly know

and understand these experiences. That's not to say that non-ownvoices work can

never exist. Non-ownvoices work can exist and I will get to that later and

talk about how it can be done well because some of the best forms of

representation out there for some people are through non-ownvoices work and that is

valid and that is important and that is just as necessary,

so I'm not here to dis all non-ownvoices work. I'm here to discuss the fact

that this label does exist for a reason and it is important for a reason. So in

my first Diversity 101 video I spent a long time discussing the difference

between diversity and representation because there is a difference. And a lot

of times with ownvoices work you get the most authentic form of

representation you can get because you're getting the representation from

someone who truly knows what they're talking about because what they're

talking about is their own experience and when it's an identity that does not

get shared a lot, that does not get represented a lot, it's kind of crucial

that it be done well because so little of that representation exists. And like I

said, this doesn't mean that non-ownvoices representation isn't important

because it is still important and it is still necessary. For example, Simon vs.

the Homosapiens Agenda is one of the most widely adored books featuring a gay

main character, but it's written by an author who identifies as straight. And

that doesn't change the fact that that book is still good representation and

it's been so accessible to so many queer readers and the fact that it's

important to such a wide queer audience. That doesn't erase that in any which way.

The thing is, the content creator has to, one, take the time to do the

representation properly - you have to spend time doing research, you have to

spend time actually learning about that identity and making sure you represent

that well. And then you have to consult sensitivity readers, that is so important

to representing a non-ownvoices identity - you need sensitivity readers.

And if a content creator truly cares and they're creating that character for the

right reason, then you know what, they can as long as they make the judgment call

that it's okay for them to write that voice. The fact of the matter is that in

publishing and in media there are only so many slots that are given to

characters of marginalized identities and that sucks. And if we could have

books by ownvoices and non-ownvoices creators alike and we could just fill the

shelves with them, then this wouldn't be as big of a problem. But, right now, with

where we're at in this process there are still only a certain number of slots

given to characters of marginalized identities and you have to consider if

you are taking that slot from someone else. If you think that it's okay for you

to write that story, you can be the judge of that. But if you think that maybe that

slot deserves to go to a content creator who actually comes from that identity

and who would be able to represent that better, then you know what, maybe that's

the call you need to make and you need to write a different story. I'm not gonna

sit here and pretend that it's my job to make that call for you, it' s not. It's a

personal thing - you have to reflect on whether or not you think that that

identity is one you should be writing and sometimes it is and sometimes it's

not and you need to make that decision for yourself. It's really just dependent

on the time and the person and the story they're writing - you have to consider

whether it's okay for you to tell it. That being said, whereas I do want to

discuss all of the positives that come with the label ownvoices and the power

it does have, we also do have to acknowledge that there are some

negatives that come with it. The first one which is a big one is the pressure

that comes from ownvoices content creators and reviewers to get everything

absolutely perfect. Earlier in this video I mentioned that it's important that

representation of people with marginalized identities be done well

because sometimes that's the only representation that certain teens and

media consumers have access to. But that being said, no one group of people is

ever a monolith. I have said this many times in my videos because it is so true -

we do not all have the exact same experience with our identities, there are

differences, there are nuances to that and no one piece of media can represent

everyone accurately and that's okay. Because something not representing you

accurately doesn't necessarily make it bad representation. Whereas I think that

a lot of times we need to have a more in-depth conversation about what that

means and how to differentiate the two, I don't have time for all the nitty gritty-ness

of that conversation in this video, but I do want to acknowledge that just

because something might not represent you 100% accurately, it doesn't

necessarily make it bad representation and that's a habit a lot of readers and

reviewers and such fall into sometimes. And here's an example - the book Love, Hate,

and Other Filters by Samira Ahmed has ownvoices Indian-American representation.

Now I loved that book, I gave it five out of five stars, but that being said - the

representation of the Indian-American main character, Maya, did not reflect my

experience at all. She had a completely different experience

than me, but I knew that that didn't make it bad representation. It was still good

representation and that will be so accessible to a different Indian-

American teen somewhere who'll say 'oh that represents my exact experience'

because two people can have a different experience and that's not a bad thing.

And the author wrote her experience and she wrote authentically from her

background and whatever she's experienced and it's not my place to

call that bad representation. So just because something doesn't represent you

doesn't automatically make it bad and problematic. And terms like ownvoices

and problematic are terms we throw around a lot oftentimes without actually

considering what they mean and I think we need to be mindful of the labels

we're throwing on stuff and considering whether it's actually important and

whether it's actually accurate. And that pressure also exists on the other side.

Oftentimes ownvoices reviewers are pressured to find every single aspect of

a book or movie or TV show that might not be perfect, that might be problematic.

Putting that kind of pressure on a reviewer is completely unfair. As someone

who cares so greatly about diversity and representation in media, I try to read

books as critically as I can and watch media as critically as I can and

consider whether representation is being done well, but you cannot put that kind

of pressure on one or two reviewers and expect them to find every single flaw.

That same pressure is not put on privileged reviewers and I'm not saying

I want it to be put on privileged reviewers because they don't deserve

that either, but no party should have that kind of pressure put on them. We

should acknowledge that most people are doing their best to read and consume

media with that kind of critical eye and consider when things might not be done

well, but no one person can figure out every single problem one piece of media

or one piece of literature has. I think it's important that people do get

a warning if representation is going to be bad or harmful for them because that

kind of stuff can be triggering and harmful to people and no one deserves

that, but that shouldn't be done at the cost of another reviewer. I think that we

just need to be considerate about how much we expect from people because a lot

of times people are doing their best and just like I'm not perfect and you are

not perfect, no other author or reviewer is going to be and I think that

sometimes we do need to cut people a little bit of

slack. The other biggest criticism that comes with the ownvoices term exists

mainly in terms of queer representation but it can exist in terms of other forms

of representation and that's that some authors or reviewers might not be out.

And that is definitely true and that's something I've tried to be more mindful

of when I describe books that might not necessarily be ownvoices because I

don't always know how the author identifies because just because an

author might not be out as not cis or not straight, I can't make that blanket

statement to other people. And that's not to say that just because something might

be ownvoices that means that it has to be perfect because ownvoices

representation can be harmful as well, but it's more, I think, the rush to

categorize this book as completely not ownvoices, the author is straight because we

don't always know. And I try to word it more so I say 'this author, as far as I

know, is straight' or 'this author, to my knowledge, has not come out as anything

other than straight,' but just because someone hasn't come out that doesn't

make the default straight, and that's a different conversation about defaulting

to cis and straight, but that's also another thing we need to acknowledge

that we don't always know everyone's exact identity. We don't always know their

religion or their sexuality or some parts of their identity and we can't

always rush judgment, and I'm not saying I haven't been guilty of it because I

have to, but it's something I'm trying to be more mindful of going forward and

consider that there might be parts of the story we don't know yet. But those

negatives being said, there are also positives to the term ownvoices. It gives

authors and content creators and reviewers with the same identity as

their marginalized character a term to hold on to, a term to show that 'hey, I

wrote this from my own experience' or 'I read this from my own experience.' It

gives a term to describe an important part of a representation experience. You

know, and in my journey of reading and consuming a lot of media, I've found that a

lot of times ownvoices representation has an authenticity to it that non-own

voices representation doesn't always give. There is an authentic

feel that comes. Specifically in representation of people of color, I've

seen that that is very, very prevalent because there are so many intricate

details when you come from another culture and a lot of times if you

haven't lived that experience it's hard to get all of that down on the page and

I find that ownvoices content creators have a much easier time of doing that. So

there are also positives to this term and I think that we in this community

and me included obviously just need to start using the term ownvoices for what

it is and consider that it does have power, but not give it too much power and

not make it the end-all be-all. Just consider that it's a term used to

describe an important part of the representation experience, but that it's

not the end-all be-all and that it shouldn't be the only thing we focus on,

it's just an important contributor. So, that's my two cents on the term own

voices and I'm very interested in hearing what you guys have to say. You

know, this is a relatively new term that's just kind of grown and evolved

into something bigger and not always better.

So what do you think about the term? Let me know in the comments below because I

am interested to continue this discussion and hear your guys' thoughts

as well as that's part of the reason I am doing this series. Thank you all so

much for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video - if you did, please give it a

This MSNBC Host Crossed The Line With What He Said About Brett Kavanaugh - Duration: 3:15.

The media went all in on working to destroy Brett Kavanaugh.

Fake news outlets joined with the Democrats to push smears and lies in order to take him

down.

But this MSNBC host left viewers speechless with what he said about Kavanaugh.

MSNBC Host Defends Brett Kavanaugh MSNBC's Joe Scarborough is a former Republican

Congressman and the host of Morning Joe.

He left the Republican Party because he claimed it went off the rails in supporting Donald

Trump.

Conservatives believed he just wanted to s*uck up to his viewers and the liberal guests he

hosts in order to keep his show on the air.

But MSNBC's liberal viewers were in for a surprise.

Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski came to Kavanaugh's defense after the so-called

"mainstream" media claimed he was a ra*zezinski said there would be no smears of any kind

during their broadcast.

"This three-hour block of time is a smear free zone.

There will be no convicting of either person on either side on this show," Brzezinski

said.

"Honestly, if there's smearing of Dr. Ford or Ms. Ramirez or Brett Kavanaugh on

this show, you will be kicked off this set because we are not doing that.

It's just facts."

Then Scarborough followed that up by blasting the so-called "mainstream" media.

He claimed the networks were convicting Kavanaugh as a ra*pist and they should all be labeled

as registered Democrats.

"We have been harshly critical of Fox News for being in the tank and being state television,"

Scarborough stated.

"What we have seen the last week has made me want to call networks and put a 'D'

in front of the name of the so-called journalists that have already decided that Brett Kavanaugh

is a ra*pist."

The Media Bias In Action The New York Times proved Scarborough's

point.

They also proved Donald Trump was correct to call them fake news.

On Tuesday, they published a story about the allegations against Kavanaugh.

But readers immediately noted something was fishy.

The paper edited out a sentence that revealed Kavanaugh's accuser could not corroborate

her story.

Of all people, CNN's Michael Smerconish called out the Times.

He tweeted: "Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale

classmates asking if they recalled the episode and told some of them that she could not be

certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself."

Why is this sentence now gone from this @nytimes story?"

Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates asking if they recalled the episode

and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed

himself."

Why is this sentence now gone from this @nytimes story?

Trump Supporters Outraged Many Trump supporters believe this is a coordinated

smear campaign.

The Times' edit proves they want to be on the same page as other left-wing outlets pushing

the "Kavanaugh is a ra*pist" lie.

Democrats are terrified that Kavanaugh will cast the deciding vote to overturn Roe v.

Wade.

That's why they brought out the flimsy #MeToo accusers for his nomination and not Neil Gorsuch's.

Gorsuch was just replacing conservative judge Antonin Scalia.

He did not tip the balance of the court.

Kavanaugh will.

And that's why the liberal media outlets are losing their minds.

It's so bad even MSNBC hosts are calling them out for their fake news.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.

TALKING ABOUT VEGAN BEEFS/FIGHTS-WHAT'S UP WITH THAT🤫 - Duration: 5:37.

hey guys as you already know I am doing my drive fast I'm on a dry fast mission

and I just want to check in with you on my drive fasting everything is going

good like I have said in a few other videos I don't get any headaches and I'm

not wishing for them so I'm not going to talk them up I'm going to just go with

the flow and just accept the fact I don't get them and be proud of that

and another thing I've noticed while being on a drive fast is that I'm not

dehydrated in a sense of my mouth is dry or my lips are dry or my body feels dry

or my head is getting dry or my eyeballs are dry I feel hydrated I'm not of

course passing that much urine because the

urine that is coming out is Gerren that's being broken down from my fat

cells and being turned into hydrogen and

being released into my you know you know being released and you know that's a

good thing because it's recycling it's probably the cleanest water that that

could be coming out of me is my own recycled water inside of my fat cells

but everything's going good I wanted to talk about vegans and having vegan beefs

on YouTube I don't want to get too stuck on dry fasting you guys already know I'm

dry fast and there's gonna be some way in videos coming up real soon and I just

want to let you guys know that when these weigh-in videos come up soon once

phase 2 rolls around I will not be doing any more weigh-in videos telling people

how much I weigh because it's phase 2 there's no reason for me to do a

weigh-in video every week like I'm checking into probation for something

that I got trouble for you know being accountable

of how much I weigh on my face to which is maintenance I'm not gonna do that so

I'm going to try to do some bonus weigh-in videos and all that good stuff

you know while I'm still doing the dry fast routine until I get all of the

remaining of this weight off and then that'll be the end of that but no I was

looking at some alleged vegans and some that are not vegans anymore because they

were having some health issues and was finding that eating fresh fruits and

vegetables was not helping the situation it was actually making it worse and

sometime in the vegan community community as we all know you know eating

raw fruits and vegetables can also cause rotting of the teeth and stomach issues

that can be fatal I'm just saying a few of many when

you're not having a balanced diet and you're trying to put yourself in a

clique or group I never was one to put myself in a clique or a group I hate

when people say I'm vegan and I'm vegetarian and fruitarian a breatharian

I don't put myself in groups I eat all food groups in moderation and any meat

products that I do eat at this point I don't eat them as much as I used to eat

them because I know that too much of anything is not a good thing but it's

really silly when you get up here and you have one party saying that eating

meat products is a good thing and then you have somebody else on the other side

saying as a vegan that it's not and going back and forth to the point that

this is the kind of content that they want to give to their viewers is what's

right and what's wrong when to be honest with you there's not a right or wrong

answer your diet is specifically custom to your lifestyle

in what works with your body some people can't eat fruits and certain vegetables

they get the diarrhea or just you know just different ailments happen with

their bodies just don't react to raw foods they prefer to probably eat the

same vegetable cooked and maybe perhaps with maybe some fish just because you

don't eat any kind of meat products or seafood products does not make that

person a bad person because they don't do what you do so be mindful guys and

try to make your content relevant and meaningful so that you can help your

viewers out and keep them motivated so that they want to come back to see what

you're talking about so you can keep them motivated so with all that being

said please subscribe to the channel like and she had this video and make it

a favorite and I'll see you in the next video bye for now

What if the earth stops spinning suddenly? - Duration: 2:47.

What would happen if the Earth stopped spinning suddenly?

The probability for such an event is practically zero in the next few billion years. But we

wanna know what, If It exactly happens?.....

Our earth is rotating from west to east at a speed of 1000 miles per hour at the equator.

So, along with the earth, all the houses, buildings, rocks, mountains, and everything

including us on it, is rotating from west to east, at the speed of 1000 miles per hour.

According to Newton's laws of motion, all dynamic objects have a tendency to be dynamic.

It's called motion inertia. When a car is moving at a certain speed, the driver or the

passenger has the same velocity. On hard braking to stop a fast moving car, the lower part

of the body is brought to a sudden stop, while the upper torso of the body keeps moving in

the forward direction, and driver is thrown forward.

Now we see what happens to the earth according to Newton's law.....

Same thing will happen exactly if the Earth stops spinning suddenly. All the buildings,

houses, plants and everything in the equatorial area will be scattered eastwards at the speed

of 1000 milles per hour. All the buildings and structures will be broken and destroyed.

In other areas it will be the same situation.

Disaster will start throughout the world. Sea water will spread on a fierce coastline

like a tsunami. The wind will start blowing at 1000 miles per hour and throwing things

into the air. The tectonic plates will collide on each other and will break the surface of

the earth. All mountains and hills will collapse. Hazardous tornadoes, storms will be created.

All living beings will die within less than an hour.

But fortunately......

People very near to the poles, may survive.....

Are you surprised how is it possible?.....

Because, Earth rotation speed at the poles is very less than the equator. So the motion

inertia wouldn't be very effective to the poles. Though unfortunately The spinning iron core in

the center of the  Earth  would stop too. Without the spin, earth's  protective magnetic

field would be gone too. Then the Sun radioactive rays will automatically kill anything left.....

If it stopped spinning completely...not even once every 365 days, you would get half year

daylight and half year nightime. But you might have been swiped out and died helplessly before

you feel it.

Bernd Leno reveals what Unai Emery told him when Petr Cech was in net | AFC News - Duration: 2:08.

Bernd Leno has revealed what Unai Emery said to him as he waited for his chance between

the sticks for Arsenal.

The German finally made his Premier League bow this weekend after a long wait on the

Gunners' bench.

When Petr Cech was forced off on the stroke of half-time against Watford, Leno was on

hand to show his boss Emery why he believes he deserves to be first choice.

The 26-year-old made a superb save to deny Troy Deeney to prevent the Hornets from going

Throughout Emery's decision to keep Cech as No 1, the Spaniard was honest with Leno

and told him where he stood.

"It's difficult to sit on the bench but the coach said to me, 'Don't be sad or

"He has worked with many goalkeepers and it is a specialist position – it needs a

little bit more time for your personality, confidence and to get a feeling for the team.

"I was calm and worked hard every day and the coach gave me the time.

"It was a good start to save the first shot.

It was important for the team not to concede the first goal and of course it was good for

my confidence.

"Now Petr is injured, I have the opportunity to play more games and show the coach my quality.

"When I joined the club, he said he liked the style I play because he wants to play

different football than before but he did not say I was going to be No 1, No 2 or anything

else.

He just told me to focus on performance.

"Some weeks ago he told me to stay calm because I played for just one professional

club in Germany and it is a new country, a new language and everything is new for me.

My chance came here, and it was good."

What is Vaping? | Vaping 101 Educational Webinar Series - Duration: 2:30.

Good day guys, Matt from VapeFuse Australia here. Back again to help keep you

up-to-date with the latest and greatest in herb vaping news and technology. Now,

in my role as Operations Manager of Vape Fuse Australia

I've personally tested over a hundred portable in desktop vaporizers, so that I

can help you guys gain a bit more of an accurate impression and what our line of

devices is all about. The end game of this really is to help of the purchase

decision, as we know the purchasing a vaporizer can be a bit of an investment.

The reason we're so passionate about vaping and vaporizers though, we really

think that it's a benefit to people to quit smoking and start vaping, as it's

going to lead be able to, make you live a longer life and ultimately be a happier

person. So before we get into that, I'm just going to stop on the first point

that we usually get asked when people approach us and that is what is vaping?

Now, the most common sort of example that I can think of when it comes to vaping

is a kettle full of water. So you've got a kettle, you fill it up with water which

is in essence a liquid substance you put it on the boil to heat and then while

it's heating up, the water vapor that escapes from that kettle is, it's pretty

much just a gas, so it's just the heated form with matter, that's being converted

into a gas and vaping is basically the same thing. So many of you have probably

heard of e-cigarettes or liquid nicotine or something along those lines and

that's pretty much the same as the kettle. It's a liquid substance that's

heated, to expel a gas, which is just not heated up to the extent that it's going

to turn into smoke and combust. When we're talking about vaping herbs, I like

to use oil as an example. Now, oil of course combusts, which water will not, so

water will just turn completely into vapor

whereas oil, when heated up to a certain extent, so 88 degrees for Olive oil and a

lot higher say 120 degrees for Coconut oil, at that stage it combusts, but prior

to that it's still just a mists of vapor, so it atomizes a little bit. Now, with

herbs, it's the same thing, many herbs like Chamomile, Damiana, Lavender pitched

next to me, have essential oils inside of them that when vaporized, they're emitted

and can can sort of help you in some ways. So, a Lavender for example, helps with

relaxation and helps you sleep. Damiana, can be used for something similar, so

when you're vaping herbs, it's a little bit more tricky than when you're vaping,

its the simple liquid material, but the thought process behind it, is basically the

same. Thanks for checking out this video guys and make sure to check out the rest

of the line to find out what vaping is all about. Thanks

Family Success What do you have to invest - Duration: 9:43.

ever looked at another family and wondered how do they do it everyone

seems so put together they're so organized

and their kids are like nice they must have a deal with the devil let's talk

about it very Smith here with you to stock community pastor author husband

father and a guy who's dealt with my share of family dysfunction not just my

own which I talk about a lot but after 25 years of pastoral care ministry

coaching and counseling I can assure you that we're all jacked up now be sure to

watch this video till the end as I've got a free powerful and super helpful

PDF with numerous resources to help you be a family success which is the point

of this video series family success what do we have to lose what do we have to

invest and what do we have to focus on the reason that I've done this series is

because there's just too many jacked up families out there and it doesn't have

to be this way divorce is about as common as getting a

filling at the dentist whether it's someone cheating or an addiction

financial pressures or the elusive irreconcilable differences broken

marriages and broken homes are way too common and broken homes are turning out

broken kids more than three and 10 kids grow up in broken homes and it's these

kids who account for 70% of those in juvenile detention 63% of teen suicides

71% of teen pregnancies ninety percent of homeless juveniles and runaways 71

percent of high school dropout seventy-five percent of all drug users

and 85 percent of behavioral disorders according to the Richmond Times

newspaper a few years ago and 70% of all long-term prison inmates grow up in

broken homes if Americans don't put some intentionality into our marriages and

into our kids and into our families in general we're going to keep producing

what we have been producing which is quite frankly a mess

according to Esther Perel psychotherapist and best-selling author

of the state of affairs both happy and miserable couples

experienced the same problems it is how each couple comes together and relates

to each other that defines whether the relationship will thrive or end I agree

with Esther I didn't anticipate saying something like that on a video but

everyone has problems every marriage and every family has their share of issues

the difference between flourishing and failing families is investment so if

you're ready to have family success and keep families together we have to invest

in three distinct areas number one invest in effort now that may sound a

little weird but it's so true we must make an effort sometimes it's an effort

of time time is your number one commodity where do you spend it you may

be surprised that families fail because of a lack of time spent in the

relationships there's also the effort of attention it's not just enough to put in

the time we have to give our attention to there are thousands of distractions

even when we give our family our time especially our cell phones put them down

finally there's the effort of intentionality time and attention are

great but without adding specific intentionality they fall short for sure

we have to be more intentional with our time and our attention putting in these

three efforts takes sacrifice and that my friends is why so many families are

failing it's the sacrifice and that's tough it's serious work if it was easy

there wouldn't be so many divorces and broken homes nor would there be all the

crimes and suicides and drug abuse that's out there to be a family success

you not only invest in effort you invest number two in priorities just putting in

the effort is not enough you've got to make your family a priority where do

they fall in the grand scheme of things of your life only you can decide that

but decide you must and that brings us to your message in a tweet if you don't

get anything else get this you can post this on Facebook Instagram or Twitter to

not make your family a priority is to state that they are not your priority to

not make your family a priority is too actually say and make public they are

not your priority and that's kind of brutal I know for me this is my priority

scale number one God number two spouse number three kids and

number four everything else notice that my job and career aren't

mentioned of course my career in my church and my friends are all important

but they fall into the everything else category I'm at liberty to rearrange

those things in almost any order I want once I have the first three in place

because listen if God is number one he'll guide me in number for everything

else and if I Jack that up God will reveal that to me through the power of

the Holy Spirit also notice that my wife is a priority over my kids you may not

agree but it's biblical and if I want to have success and raising my family I

will show my kids that my wife is a priority over them because let's face it

it's not only biblical but one day those kids are going to move out hopefully and

it'll just be me and my wife I've got eighteen to twenty years or so

with my kids and a lifetime with my wife successful families know how to

prioritize and to not make your family a priority is to state that they are not

your priority invest in effort invest in priorities and number three invest in

help in the first video of this series we lost three roadblocks ego comparisons

and the perfectionist mentality once the ego is gone and you realize that you're

not going to be perfect you absolutely must get help from time to time these

helps could come in the form of books courses podcasts blogs and youtubers a

couple of muster ebooks for spouses are his needs her needs by Willard F Harley

jr. and the five love languages by Gary Chapman both are foundational to a

successful marriage and their ultra practical I've also posted the links to

raising girls by Melissa Trevathan and Cissy golf as well as wild things the

art of nurturing boys by Steven James and David Thomas two incredible and

insightful books on raising your kids online courses are also a great help to

my wife and I just launched some courses online and one happens to be on

sale right now it's called the marriage transformation blueprint' and the other

courses on parenting are going to be available soon

they are super practical and so valuable for you in being a family success and

they have a money-back guarantee to boot those links are all listed below if you

would like to purchase that there are numerous podcasts blogs and youtubers

out there from the behemoth focus on the family to thousands of youtubers who

focus on parenting or marriage or moms or single parenting and that just about

anything you could imagine my wife and I have a YouTube channel called family

with purpose where you can see dozens of free videos that we post weekly with

insight on all things family from marriage and parenting to decluttering

and decorating we even have a series on preparing to send your first kid to

college the point is everyone needs help from time to time if you want to have

family success getting help is a no brainer trying to do it on your own is a

waste of time and energy get some help to have family success you got to invest

in number one effort time attention and intentionality which takes sacrifice

number two priorities for me it's God spouse kids and everything else but your

family has to be a priority somewhere or you're stating that they're not your

priority and the final area is help books courses podcasts blogs and

youtubers some are free and some cost a few bucks but the dividends are

invaluable when we invest in these three areas we will be better our spouses will

be better our kids will be better and our society will be better and that's an

awesome place to be and to help you out I have a very special free PDF to give

What I sound like to myself|| DEAF AWARENESS DAY 30 - Duration: 5:13.

Hello you fancy folks and welcome to the last day of Deaf awareness month

{Intro music}

I got the idea for today's video from Rikki Poynter

I will link her video and a card above and also somewhere in the description box below.

So today I want to talk about what I sound like to myself

now I can't hear it myself 80% of the time

I don't know how

loud or quiet I sound

I don't know if I am slurring or if I'm mispronouncing words

My hearing aids takes that down to around about 65%

But the thing with hearing aids is that they can make things sound robotic

so I don't think that they give a

proper representation

to me of what my voice sounds like

To me my voice sounds very light and very Scottish

I have had a lot of people that I have met correctly assume that I am from the Glasgow area

I grew up just outside Glasgow and apparently I have a slight Glaswegian accent

But when I watch back my YouTube videos, I'm usually quite surprised by how deep my voice sounds

And

Also, I feel like I don't sound as Scottish in my videos

Which is very strange because I

was born and grew up in Scotland and I was never around any other accents growing up.

I have had a lot of people wrongly assume that I am Irish

now I have never been to Ireland and I

definitely am not Irish, but when I watch my videos back I can see

how people might confuse that

I think my Scottish accent mixed with my deaf accent

kind of comes across as

Irish

maybe

I also sound much clearer to myself I think because

I have my own inner captions in my brain

But when I watch videos back,

I'm often surprised and I'm usually sat there thinking

"That sounded a lot clearer and a lot more precise

When I was saying it."

And that can make editing YouTube videos

very, very difficult

And another thing is I sound much slower to myself when I speak

But I am actually quite a fast speaker

Because I grew up with people who spoke extremely fast and that is how I learned to speak.

I usually have to mentally remind myself to speak slower because

I know that my idea of slow is definitely not the same as other people's idea of slow

and

Even when I do think I'm speaking slowly

the majority of the time

I'm actually not

And the last thing is how clearly I pronounce words

Now I struggle with hard letters like T and B and D

and I know that but for some reason when I'm speaking I

believe or I

hear myself

pronouncing the words correctly

And then when I watch footage back, I realize that I'm kind of drawling or I'm

really not pronouncing the words correctly

and not

Pronouncing the hard letters properly.

So there you have it. I sound completely different to myself than I do in reality

I also sound very different

when I have my hearing aids in compared to when I don't have them in

Let me know what you think I sound like in the comments.

Do you guys think that I sound Irish?

I think I'm going to have to plan a trip to Ireland if any more people tell me that i sound Irish

Just so that i can be alongside some Irish people and

make a comparison

Anyways, I hope that you enjoyed this video. Don't forget to Like and subscribe.

That was the final Deaf Awareness video, but definitely not the last d/Deaf related video

I will be back to my usual upload times very soon. So keep an eye out for that

And bye for now

What's on this week @TGIOF - Duration: 2:13.

It is October and that means the start our Breast Cancer Awareness month

because of that this week we're going to be talking to Dr. Tina Peers who's going

to be discussing any concerns that you might have regarding HRT and breast

cancer. The 18th of October also marks World Menopause Day and to mark that

here at this girl's on fire, we've decided to dedicate not a day but a

whole month to the subject of the menopause. We think it's too big a

subject to cover it in just 24 hours so what kind of thing can you expect to see?

Well lots and lots of your stories so many of you have got in touch with us

telling us your experiences of the menopause

some of them are heartbreaking, poignant, you're all incredibly and brave but one

woman in particular is very very funny, Jennifer Kennedy also writes a blog

called 'galloping catastrophe' and Jennifer has written some pieces

exclusively for us here at this girl is on fire. We're also going to be chatting

to Dr. Peers again about the 34 symptoms of the menopause, what sort of things you

should look out for, what sort of questions you should ask your doctor if

you think that you are menopausal and some useful tips on to how you can help

overcome them. Speaking of professionals and useful tips we're going to be

speaking to some skin care specialists who can guide you through this the way

that your skin changes during the menopause and what sort of things you

can do to help yourself. We've also got a fitness expert back on board Sarah

Maxwell who surprised me with ballet tutus on on National Fitness Day. Sarah

is a 50 year old menopausal mum of two and what she doesn't know about a pelvic

floor is not worth knowing so Sarah is gonna be talking us through some pelvic

floor exercises that we all know we need to do and very few of us actually get

around to doing. There's a whole lot coming up this month

all of it is dedicated to helping you feel better and the one thing that I can

guarantee is there is something in here for you to take away to use and to enjoy

What Mourinho has said about Zidane - and why it's suddenly very interesting - Daily News - Duration: 5:02.

at the moment after yet another defeat in the Premier League.   The Red Devils have started this season poorly, and are already a staggering nine points behind title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool after just seven games played

Manchester United were beaten 3-1 by West Ham last time out, ramping up the pressure on the Portuguese, who hasn't been out of the news over the past month

According to reports, Zinedine Zidane is breathing down the neck of the Red Devils boss, and is ready to take his place at the Old Trafford club

The World Cup winner is even believed to be learning English in case he is offered the job, but so far United have remained tight-lipped over their stance on Mourinho

Interestingly, Mourinho and Zidane have quite a lot of history, and it was in fact the Portuguese who helped the Frenchman make the jump into management

Back in October 2010, Mourinho, who was at this point Real Madrid boss, asked president Florentino Perez if he could work with Zidane - who was his special advisor at the time - more closely

"I would like to have him more with me and less with the president," explained Mourinho

"I don't think he wants to become a coach but I would still like to have him with me

"  After Mourinho's intervention, Zidane started travelling with the first team, offering advice, and attending coaching meetings with the Portuguese

His footballing knowledge had an immediate impact on Real Madrid, particularly on fellow Frenchman Karim Benzema, which was picked up on by Mourinho

In 2011, the now Manchester United boss said: "The main person responsible is Karim himself

There is also the positive influence of other players, of myself because I put a lot of pressure on players to play to the maximum ability

"I also think of Zizou. He has several times worked psychologically with the guy

"  Mourinho was unable to make Zidane his No.2 at this time, due to the fact he had Rui Faria and Aitor Karanka working alongside him

So Zidane moved upstairs, but retained his close working relationship with the squad

In 2011, Mourinho said: "I like that he is working with us and that he personally decided to change his life and be part of this project

"He believes in this and thinks he can help. He has a lot to offer, but he also has much to learn

"It is one thing to be the best player in the world for many years and another to be director of football of the first team at a club as important as Real Madrid

"His intelligence, calm nature and the fact that he is completely open to communication make him a welcome addition to this group, in which everyone is excited to work together

"  Zidane's opportunity to move back downstairs came when Mourinho left Real Madrid and was replaced by Carlo Ancelotti

Zidane was made the Italian's No.2 and would eventually become the top dog at Los Blancos - with whom he'd win one La Liga and three Champions League titles with

Mourinho undoubtedly had a huge influence on Zidane moving into management and developing as a boss - just like he did with Andre Villas Boas, who, of course, would go on to work at Chelsea after him

poll loading Will Zinedine Zidane replace Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford? 18000+ VOTES SO FAR YES NO

What happens One Minute After You Die? - Program 2 - Duration: 28:31.

>>ANNOUNCER: TODAY ON

THE JOHN ANKERBERG SHOW:

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU

ONE MINUTE AFTER YOU DIE?

STATISTICS TELL US:

ONE HUNDRED AND SIX PEOPLE

DIE EVERY MINUTE. FIFTY-FIVE

THOUSAND PEOPLE DIE EVERY DAY.

FOUR-AND-A HALF MILLION PEOPLE

DIE EVERY MONTH. AND FIFTY-SIX

MILLION PEOPLE DIE EACH YEAR.

IF YOU LIVE FOR SEVENTY

YEARS, OVER YOUR LIFETIME,

CLOSE TO FOUR BILLION PEOPLE

WILL HAVE DIED ON EARTH.

AND EVENTUALLY DEATH WILL

COME TO YOU AND TO ME.

NONE OF US WILL ESCAPE IT.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY

EACH OF US WILL EXPERIENCE

ONE MINUTE AFTER WE DIE.

MY GUEST TODAY IS THEOLOGIAN

AND BEST-SELLING AUTHOR,

DR. ERWIN LUTZER, SENIOR

MINISTER OF MOODY CHURCH IN

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, WHO HAS

WRITTEN THE BOOK,

ONE MINUTE AFTER YOU DIE.

WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US

FOR THIS SPECIAL EDITION OF

THE JOHN ANKERBERG SHOW.

>>JOHN ANKERBERG: WELCOME TO

OUR PROGRAM. I'M JOHN

ANKERBERG. THANKS FOR JOINING

US. WE'RE TALKING ABOUT

A TOPIC THAT APPLIES TO ALL

OF US, NAMELY, DEATH AND

WHAT COMES AFTER. WE HAVE

DR. ERWIN LUTZER WHO'S

WRITTEN A BESTSELLING BOOK

CALLED WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU

ONE MINUTE AFTER YOU DIE?

AND TODAY WE'RE GOING TO FOCUS

ON THE FEAR OF DYING, THE FEAR

OF DEATH. CAN I ASK YOU,

DO YOU FEAR DEATH?

MAYBE YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE

TALKING ABOUT IT YOU FEAR IT

SO MUCH. MAYBE YOU FEAR DEATH

BECAUSE YOU'VE JUST LEARNED

THAT YOU HAVE A LIFE-ENDING

DISEASE AND YOU DON'T EVEN

KNOW HOW TO COPE WITH THAT.

MAYBE YOU HAVE HAD AN ACCIDENT

OR YOU'VE HAD TRAGEDIES THAT

HAVE HAPPENED TO YOUR FAMILY.

IF IT WERE TO HAPPEN TO YOU,

YOU'D WANT TO KNOW, WHERE

WOULD YOU BE ONE MINUTE AFTER

YOU DIED. AND WHAT INFORMATION

HAS GOD GIVEN TO US SO THAT

WE CAN OVERCOME OUR GREAT FEAR

OF DEATH? THAT'S WHAT WE WANT

TO TALK ABOUT TODAY.

AND, ERWIN, START US OFF.

WHAT INFORMATION DOES GOD GIVE

TO US IN THE BIBLE THAT HELPS

EACH ONE OF US?

BECAUSE WE'RE ALL SUSCEPTIBLE

TO THIS, THAT FEAR OF DEATH.

>>DR. ERWIN LUTZER: JOHN, THIS

IS SUCH AN EXCELLENT QUESTION

BECAUSE, YOU KNOW, AS WE'RE

SITTING HERE AND WE'RE

DISCUSSING THESE MATTERS, IT'S

VERY RELEVANT TO ME BECAUSE

I HAVE A SISTER-IN-LAW IN

CANADA WHO IS ABOUT TO DIE.

SHE'S BEEN STRUGGLING WITH

CANCER. AND THE QUESTION IS,

HOW CAN SHE DIE IN PEACE?

NOW, I'M VERY GLAD TO BE ABLE

TO REPORT THAT SHE IS GOING TO

BE ABLE TO DIE IN PEACE

BECAUSE SHE KNOWS JESUS CHRIST

AS HER PERSONAL SAVIOR.

YOU KNOW, THE BIBLE IS VERY

REALISTIC ABOUT DEATH.

WE KNOW THAT IT BEGAN IN

THE GARDEN OF EDEN WHEN SATAN

LIED AND SAID, "YOU WILL NOT

DIE." AND AFTER ADAM AND EVE

ATE OF THE FRUIT,

YOU REMEMBER, THEY DIDN'T

DIE PHYSICALLY IMMEDIATELY,

BUT THE PROCESS OF DEATH

BEGAN. AND YOU AND I AND

EVERYONE ELSE WHO IS LISTENING

HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE,

BECAUSE GOD ALREADY KNOWS

EXACTLY WHEN WE ARE TO DIE.

BUT HERE IS A VERSE OF

SCRIPTURE THAT IS VERY

ENCOURAGING. PAUL WROTE THAT

DEATH IS ACTUALLY

THE POSSESSION OF

THE CHRISTIAN. HE WRITES IN

FIRST CORINTHIANS 3:21-22,

JUST A SNATCH OF THE VERSE,

"ALL THINGS ARE YOURS; WHETHER

PAUL... OR CEPHAS,...

WHETHER LIFE OR DEATH."

IMAGINE THIS: DEATH IS

PRESENTED IN THE BIBLE AS

ACTUALLY A GIFT.

IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE

IF WE WERE TO LIVE ENDLESSLY

IN THIS SINFUL BODY.

DEATH ACTUALLY IS THE MEANS BY

WHICH GOD TAKES HIS PEOPLE TO

HIMSELF. YOU KNOW, DURING

THE TIME OF THE PERSECUTION

OF THE EARLY CHRISTIANS IT WAS

SAID OF THE CHRISTIANS,

"THEY CARRY THEIR DEAD AS IF

IN TRIUMPH." CYPRIAN WHO LIVED

IN THE EARLY CENTURIES SAID

THAT IT WAS THE PLAGUE,

AND BECAUSE OF THE PLAGUE

CHRISTIANITY SPREAD BECAUSE

EVERYONE REALIZED CHRISTIANS

DIED DIFFERENTLY THAN

THE PAGANS. CHRISTIANS DIE

WITH HOPE BECAUSE OF JESUS

CHRIST OUR SAVIOR.

AND THE BIBLE SAYS IN THE BOOK

OF HEBREWS THAT JESUS CAME TO

DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL

AND DELIVER THOSE WHO "THROUGH

FEAR OF DEATH HAVE BEEN

SUBJECT TO BONDAGE."

SO, JOHN, TODAY IF WE'RE

TALKING TO PEOPLE WHO ARE

AFRAID TO DIE, AND I'M SURE

THAT WE ARE, THE GOOD NEWS

IS THAT JESUS HELPS US

TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS ON

THE OTHER SIDE. AND BELIEVE

IT OR NOT, WE NEED NOT FEAR

DEATH. IT IS A PLACE THAT IS

UNKNOWN, BUT THANKFULLY

WE KNOW WHAT LIES ON

THE OTHER SIDE.

>>ANKERBERG: THAT'S FOR

CHRISTIANS. AND YET,

THERE SHOULD BE A FEAR OF

DEATH FOR PEOPLE THAT DO NOT

KNOW CHRIST. LAST WEEK TALKED

ABOUT THE HEART DOCTOR,

THE HEART SURGEON DR. MAURICE

RAWLINGS, THAT WE HAD ON

OUR PROGRAM SOME TIME AGO,

WHO HAD CATALOGED 300 PEOPLE

THAT HAD HELL EXPERIENCES WHO

DIED ON HIM CLINICALLY WHILE

HE WAS WORKING ON THEM. AND

HE LISTENED TO THEM TALKING

ABOUT WHAT THEY WERE SEEING.

AND EVENTUALLY THESE STORIES

SCARED HIM SO MUCH THAT

HE BECAME A CHRISTIAN HIMSELF.

AND WHAT I'M SAYING IS THAT

THE BIBLE SAYS THERE ARE

TWO PLACES WE GO TO...

WE CAN GO TO: ONE IS TO

HEAVEN, ONE IS TO HELL, OR

RIGHT NOW HADES, WHICH WILL

BE THROWN INTO HELL LATER ON.

AND RIGHT NOW WE'RE TALKING TO

THOSE WHO HAVE PUT THEIR FAITH

IN THE SON OF GOD, JESUS

CHRIST, WHO HAS THE POWER TO

SAVE THEM, THE ONE WHO DIED

FOR THEIR SINS AND WILL

FORGIVE THEM AND GIVE EACH

PERSON THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF

CHRIST HIMSELF SO THEY CAN

STAND BEFORE GOD AND HE ALSO

COMES INTO THEIR LIFE.

AND WHEN WE COME TO THIS TIME

OF DEATH, THAT'S WHAT WE'RE

TALKING ABOUT FOR

THE CHRISTIAN. AND I WANT TO

TALK ABOUT THIS FOR

THE CHRISTIAN, BUT I WANT

FOLKS ON THE OTHER SIDE TO

KNOW NOT EVERYBODY IS GOING

TO HEAVEN AUTOMATICALLY.

YOU DON'T GO THERE BY DEFAULT.

HOW DO YOU GO TO HEAVEN?

LET'S START WITH THAT.

>>LUTZER: WELL, OF COURSE,

YOU KNOW, THE REAL BASIS IS

THE FACT OF JESUS CHRIST,

AS YOU'VE MENTIONED, BECAUSE

HE IS THE ONE WHO HAS

THE KEYS OF DEATH AND OF

HADES, THE BIBLE SAYS. AND

MAYBE THIS IS A GOOD PLACE FOR

US TO RECOGNIZE WHY JESUS

CHRIST IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM

ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE.

BECAUSE I CAN IMAGINE PEOPLE

FROM OTHER RELIGIONS SAYING,

"WELL, I TRUST MY PROPHET.

I TRUST MY GURU. WHY JESUS?"

SO LET ME EXPLAIN.

JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE WHO

IS QUALIFIED TO ACTUALLY BE

A SAVIOR. PROPHETS AND GURUS

MIGHT BE ABLE TO TELL YOU

HOW TO LIVE, BUT THEY CANNOT

WIPE AWAY YOUR SIN.

JESUS HIMSELF WAS SINLESS;

AND BECAUSE, YOU SEE,

HE WAS SINLESS, AND BECAUSE

HE WAS BOTH GOD AND MAN,

HE WAS ABLE TO BRING US

TOGETHER. AND HIS DEATH WAS

A SACRIFICE THAT GOD

THE FATHER ACCEPTED TOTALLY.

I LOVE THESE WORDS.

WHEN JESUS WAS ON THE CROSS

HE SAID, "IT IS FINISHED!"

AND I SAY RIGHT NOW TO THOSE

WHO ARE LISTENING, IF YOU

BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST PAID

FOR SIN, AND YOU RECEIVE

HIS PAYMENT AND RECEIVE HIM,

YOU WILL BE FORGIVEN.

AND PERHAPS LATER ON IN

THE SHOW WE CAN EVEN TALK

MORE ABOUT THE ASSURANCE THAT

COMES WITH THAT. BUT HOW

BLESSED IT IS. THAT'S WHY

THE APOSTLE PAUL COULD SAY,

"FOR ME TO LIVE IS CHRIST

AND TO DIE IS GAIN."

SO, FOR THE CHRISTIAN,

DEATH IS A BLESSING.

>>ANKERBERG: YES, AND WE'RE

TALKING ABOUT FOR

THE CHRISTIAN RIGHT NOW.

AND THERE ARE CERTAIN FIGURES

OF SPEECH THAT THE BIBLE USES,

AND ONE OF THEM IS IT'S

A DEPARTURE.

>>LUTZER: EXACTLY.

YOU KNOW, WHEN JESUS WAS ON

THE MOUNT OF TRANSFIGURATION,

AND, OF COURSE, PETER, JAMES

AND JOHN WERE THERE, AND MOSES

AND ELIJAH. IT SAYS THAT

THEY TALKED ABOUT HIS EXODUS

THAT HE WAS TO ACCOMPLISH

IN JERUSALEM. THE WORD

"EXODUS" IS DEPARTURE.

AND, OF COURSE, WE KNOW ABOUT

THE EXODUS IN THE OLD

TESTAMENT. SO I LIKE TO THINK

OF IT THIS WAY, THAT JUST LIKE

MOSES LED THE CHILDREN OF

ISRAEL OVER THE RED SEA

AND THEY DEPARTED EGYPT

FOR THE PROMISED LAND,

IN THE VERY SAME WAY JESUS

LEADS US ACROSS THAT RIVER.

HE TAKES US TO THE OTHER SIDE.

IN FACT, JOHN, THIS IS SO

EXCITING. WE SOMETIMES TALK

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST MEETING US

ON THE OTHER SIDE.

WE HAVE TO REALIZE

HE'S ALREADY WITH US ON THIS

SIDE IF WE KNOW HIM AS SAVIOR.

AND SO HE'S THE ONE WHO GUIDES

US THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE.

>>ANKERBERG: THE BIBLE ALSO

SAYS THAT DEATH IS A RESTFUL

SLEEP. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

>>LUTZER: WELL, IT IS SPEAKING

THERE ABOUT THE FACT THAT

THE BODY IS LIKE IN A STATE

OF SLEEP. YOU KNOW, JUST LIKE

LAST NIGHT I WENT TO BED

WITHOUT ANY FEAR AND I SLEPT

IN THE VERY SAME WAY.

I WOKE UP THIS MORNING IN

THE VERY SAME WAY. THE BODY

IS GOING TO BE RAISED AGAIN

IN THE DAY OF RESURRECTION.

NOW, I HAVE TO EMPHASIZE THERE

ARE MANY OF OUR FRIENDS WHO

THINK THAT THE SOUL ACTUALLY

SLEEPS, SO THEY THINK THAT

THERE'S NO CONSCIOUSNESS ON

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GRAVE

UNTIL THE DAY OF RESURRECTION.

I REALLY BELIEVE THAT,

THAT IS WRONG. FOR EXAMPLE,

WHEN JESUS WAS ON THE CROSS,

YOU REMEMBER, THE THIEF SAID,

"REMEMBER ME WHEN YOU COME

INTO YOUR KINGDOM." AND JESUS

SAID TO HIM, "TODAY YOU WILL

BE WITH ME IN PARADISE."

NOW, THERE ARE SOME OF THESE

FOLKS WHO SAY, "WELL, REALLY

WHAT JESUS MEANT WAS, "I SAY

TO YOU TODAY, YOU SHALL BE

WITH ME IN PARADISE."

BUT YOU KNOW THAT REALLY MAKES

NO SENSE. OBVIOUSLY HE WAS

SAYING THAT TO THE THIEF

THAT DAY. AND SO WHAT WE MUST

RECOGNIZE IS THAT, THAT VERY

DAY BOTH OF THEM DIED AND

THEY WERE TOGETHER IN

PARADISE. PAUL SAID,

AS I MENTIONED, "TO BE ABSENT

FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT

WITH THE LORD." PAUL WAS

EXPECTING AN IMMEDIATE

EXPERIENCE WITH JESUS

AT DEATH.

>>ANKERBERG: YES.

HE SAID IN PHILIPPIANS 1:23,

"I DESIRE TO DEPART AND TO BE

WITH CHRIST WHICH IS FAR

BETTER." THE BIBLE ALSO SAYS

THERE'S NO BREAK IN

CONSCIOUSNESS. I THINK

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THAT

A LITTLE BIT.

>>LUTZER: YES, I REALLY DO

BELIEVE THAT WE GO FROM THIS

LIFE TO THE NEXT LIFE WITHOUT

A BREAK IN CONSCIOUSNESS.

NOW, WE'VE TALKED ABOUT

THE FACT THAT WE HAVE TO BE

VERY CAREFUL ABOUT NEAR-DEATH

EXPERIENCES BECAUSE SOMETIMES

THEY ARE DECEPTIVE.

BUT YEARS AGO WHEN PEOPLE DIED

WITHOUT A LOT OF ANESTHESIA

THEY ACTUALLY BEGAN TO

SEE INTO THE NEXT WORLD.

DWIGHT L. MOODY, WHO WAS

THE FOUNDER OF THE CHURCH OF

WHICH I HAVE BEEN THE PASTOR,

BEFORE HE DIED HE SAID,

"EARTH RECEDES, HEAVEN OPENS.

IF THIS BE DEATH IT IS

GLORIOUS." SO HE ACTUALLY WAS

ABLE ALREADY TO SEE INTO

THE NEXT WORLD. AND AS

A RESULT OF THAT HE RECOGNIZED

THAT HE WAS CONSCIOUS, FULLY

CONSCIOUS, IN THIS LIFE AND

THE SOUL, OR WE COULD SAY

THE MIND, CONTINUES ON

IN THE LIFE TO COME.

SO THERE IS REALLY NO BREAK

IN CONSCIOUSNESS.

>>ANKERBERG: AND WE'RE GOING

TO TALK ON ANOTHER PROGRAM,

IN ANOTHER PROGRAM UP AHEAD,

ABOUT WHAT KIND OF BODY

WE HAVE, AND WE'RE GOING

TO TALK MORE ABOUT THIS TOPIC.

WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO IS,

WE'RE GOING TO TAKE A BREAK.

BUT, FOLKS, YOU'RE NOT GOING

TO WANT TO MISS THIS NEXT

SEGMENT; BECAUSE MANY OF YOU

HAVE ACHES AND PAINS,

AND YOU'RE STRUGGLING WITH

PROBLEMS RIGHT NOW. AND

GOD PROVIDES ENCOURAGEMENT

FOR YOU, SOMETHING TO LOOK

FORWARD TO. AND I WANT ERWIN

TO TALK ABOUT A COLLAPSING

TENT, A FIGURE OF SPEECH

THAT IS USED IN THE BIBLE

ABOUT OUR BODIES, HOW THAT

APPLIES TO US AND THE GOOD

NEWS THAT'S A PART OF

THESE VERSES. SO STICK WITH

US. WE'LL TAKE A BREAK AND

WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK.

>>ANNOUNCER: IF YOU WOULD LIKE

>>ANKERBERG: ALRIGHT, WE'RE

BACK. WE'RE TALKING WITH

DR. ERWIN LUTZER, AND WE'RE

TALKING ABOUT THIS IMPORTANT

TOPIC: WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN

TO YOU ONE MINUTE AFTER

YOU DIE? WHAT WILL YOU SEE?

WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE?

AND WE'RE TALKING ABOUT WHAT

THE BIBLE SAYS, WHAT JESUS

CHRIST TAUGHT. AND IN

THIS SEGMENT I WANT TO TALK

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THOSE

OF YOU THAT ARE SUFFERING.

DO YOU HAVE A BODY THAT'S

WEAK, TIRED? ARE YOU

EXPERIENCING ACHES AND PAINS

AND IT'S CHRONIC? IT NEVER

GOES AWAY. IS YOUR BODY

ACTUALLY COLLAPSING ALL AROUND

YOU AND THERE'S NOTHING THAT

YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT,

AND YOU SEE DEATH COMING UP

IN THE FUTURE?

ERWIN, YOU'VE GOT TWO GREAT

ILLUSTRATIONS THAT WILL

ENCOURAGE US, THOSE OF US THAT

HAVE ACHES AND PAINS, OF HOW

GOD PROVIDES FOR US EACH STEP

OF THE WAY. ONE OF THE THINGS

THE BIBLE TALKS ABOUT IS THAT

OUR BODY IS LIKE A COLLAPSING

TENT. EXPLAIN THAT.

>>LUTZER: YOU KNOW, JOHN,

I THINK THAT THIS WILL BE

A GREAT ENCOURAGEMENT TO

PEOPLE; THAT IS, PEOPLE WHO

HAVE BELIEVED ON JESUS CHRIST.

THE APOSTLE PAUL TELLS US THAT

OUR BODY IS LIKE A COLLAPSING

TENT. FOR EXAMPLE,

IN SECOND CORINTHIANS 5:1

HE SAYS, "FOR WE KNOW THAT

IF THE EARTHLY TENT WHICH IS

OUR HOUSE IS TORN DOWN,

WE HAVE A BUILDING FROM GOD,

A HOUSE NOT MADE WITH HANDS,

ETERNAL IN THE HEAVENS."

ALL OF US KNOW WHAT A TENT IS

LIKE. BECAUSE WHEN YOU'VE BEEN

IN A TENT FOR A LONG WHILE

AND THE TENT GETS OLD,

YOU FIND THAT SOME OF IT

GETS RIPPED; THERE ARE HOLES

WHERE THE RAIN COMES THROUGH.

AND YOU SAY TO YOURSELF,

"I NEED SOMETHING MORE

PERMANENT. I NEED A HOME."

AND YOU KNOW THAT ALL OF US

ARE GETTING OLDER. ALL OF US

FEEL THE ACHES AND PAINS THAT

COME WITH OLD AGE.

BUT HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS.

YOU KNOW THE APOSTLE PAUL ALSO

SAID THAT "THE SUFFERING OF

THIS PRESENT WORLD IS NOT

WORTHY TO BE COMPARED WITH

THE GLORY THAT SHALL BE

REVEALED IN US." AND I SAY TO

THOSE WHO ARE LISTENING TODAY

THAT, AS A BELIEVER IN

JESUS CHRIST, REMEMBER THIS:

TIME IS SHORT, ETERNITY IS

LONG. AND WHEN YOU DIE

YOUR SPIRIT WILL GO INTO

GOD'S PRESENCE. YOU WILL BE

WITH JESUS. YOU WILL BE

FULLY CONSCIOUS. BUT AT

THE SAME TIME IN THE FUTURE

THERE'S GOING TO BE

A RESURRECTION AND YOU'RE

GOING TO HAVE A NEW BODY,

AN ETERNAL HOUSE, IF WE CAN

USE THAT IMAGERY, AND WE'RE

GOING TO BE TALKING ABOUT

THAT IN A FUTURE BROADCAST.

>>ANKERBERG: RIGHT.

>>LUTZER: NOW, THE OTHER IMAGE

IS THAT OF A DEPARTING SHIP.

>>ANKERBERG: I LIKE THIS ONE,

ERWIN, BECAUSE IF YOU'VE EVER

GONE ON A CRUISE, ONE OF

THE NEATEST MOMENTS IS WHEN

THEY ACTUALLY CAST OFF

THE LINES AND YOU START TO

FEEL THE BOAT SLIP AWAY FROM

THE SHORE. GO WITH THAT.

>>LUTZER: YOU KNOW,

THE APOSTLE PAUL SAYS THAT

"THE TIME OF MY DEPARTURE

HAS COME." AND THAT IMAGERY

REALLY IS OF A SHIP THAT IS

ON ITS WAY. AND THEN

HEBREWS CHAPTER 6 PICKS

THIS IMAGERY UP IN

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WAY.

IT SAYS THAT "WE HAVE

AN ANCHOR FOR THE SOUL."

BUT IT ALSO SAYS THAT

JESUS IS THE FORERUNNER.

SO LET'S LISTEN TO THIS VERY

CAREFULLY. HERE'S THE IMAGERY.

IT REALLY IS BASED ON

OLD TESTAMENT TIMES AND NEW

TESTAMENT TIMES. WHEN A SHIP

WOULD COME INTO HARBOR

THERE WOULD BE ROCKS ON

EITHER SIDE, AND THERE WOULD

BE SOME DANGER. A FORERUNNER

WOULD HOP OFF OF THE SHIP,

RUN AHEAD, TAKE A ROPE WITH

HIM AND THEN, WITH AN ANCIENT

WINCH, WOULD ACTUALLY BRING

THE SHIP INTO THE HARBOR

SO THAT IT WOULD NOT BE

DASHED TO PIECES. AND THAT'S

WHAT JESUS HAS DONE.

AND I SAY TO PEOPLE TODAY,

YOUR TENT MAY BE COLLAPSING,

YOUR SHIP, THE BOARDS MAY BE

CREAKING. YOU MIGHT FIND THAT

THERE ARE TIMES WHEN YOU THINK

THAT YOU WON'T MAKE IT TO

THE HARBOR. BUT IF YOUR FAITH

IS IN JESUS, HE WENT AHEAD

OF US. HE ENTERED HEAVEN.

AND HE IS SAYING TO US NOW,

"I'M HERE FOR YOU AND WILL

GUIDE YOU SAFELY ALL THE WAY

HOME." WHAT A SAVIOR WE HAVE!

>>ANKERBERG: NOW, FOLKS, SOME

OF YOU ARE IN NURSING HOMES.

SOME OF YOU ARE YOUNG IN

THE SENSE THAT YOUR MOM, YOUR

DAD DIED AND YOU'RE LONELY.

AND AS YOU COME TOWARD THE END

OF YOUR LIFE, SOMETIMES

BECAUSE OF THE SYSTEMS THAT

WE'RE IN, IN DIFFERENT PARTS

OF THE WORLD, WE GET INTO

THESE NURSING HOMES. AND IT'S

HARD FOR THE RELATIVES TO COME

AND SEE YOU, AND YOU'RE THERE

ALL ALONE. AND, ERWIN,

GOD TALKS ABOUT HEAVEN

AS BEING A HOME THAT

HE'S GOING TO BRING US TO.

TALK ABOUT ALL OF THE IMAGERY

THAT'S CONNECTED WITH

THESE WORDS.

>>LUTZER: WELL, YOU KNOW,

THOSE BEAUTIFUL PROMISES FROM JESUS THAT YOU'RE

REFERRING TO OCCUR IN

THE 14TH CHAPTER OF JOHN,

WHEN HE SAID TO THE DISCIPLES,

"IF YOU BELIEVE IN GOD,

BELIEVE ALSO IN ME." AND THEN

HE SAYS, "IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE

THERE ARE MANY DWELLING

PLACES. IF IT WERE NOT SO

I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU.

I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR

YOU, AND IF I GO AND PREPARE

A PLACE FOR YOU, I WILL COME

AGAIN AND RECEIVE YOU TO

MYSELF SO THAT WHERE I AM

THERE YOU MAY BE ALSO."

NOW, IN A FUTURE PROGRAM WE'RE

GOING TO BE TALKING ABOUT

HEAVEN AND ALL OF THE DWELLING

PLACES AND WHAT THAT MIGHT

LOOK LIKE. BUT ISN'T IT

WONDERFUL, YOU KNOW,

TO THE PERSON THERE WHO IS

LONELY, WHO FEELS ABANDONED

BY THEIR FRIENDS. I THINK

THAT IT IS VERY SAD,

BUT MANY PEOPLE DIE ALONE,

THAT IF THEIR FAITH AND TRUST

IS IN JESUS THEY HAVE

THE ASSURANCE THAT AT LAST

THEY HAVE A SPECIAL HOME AND

JESUS CHRIST IS THERE WITH

THEM. WHAT A MARVELOUS HOPE

THAT IS. AND WE CAN HAVE

THE ASSURANCE THAT WHEN WE DIE

WE WILL INDEED BE

WITH CHRIST.

>>ANKERBERG: LET'S TALK ABOUT

ASSURANCE, BECAUSE A LOT OF

PEOPLE LACK ASSURANCE FOR ONE

REASON OR ANOTHER. THERE ARE

SOME CHRISTIANS THAT HOLD

THAT THERE IS NOT A HOME

IMMEDIATELY; THERE'S A PLACE

CALLED PURGATORY THAT

THEY MUST GO TO FIRST.

OTHERS HAVE HEARD THAT

YOU PUT YOUR FAITH IN JESUS,

BUT YOU'VE GOT TO MAKE SUCH

A COMMITMENT THAT YOU LIVE

A LIFE THAT'S ABSOLUTELY

PERFECT OR CLOSE TO IT;

YOU HAVE TO EXAMINE YOUR WORKS

TO SEE IF YOU'RE ACTUALLY

IN THE FAITH. TALK ABOUT

THE ERROR IN BOTH OF THOSE.

>>LUTZER: I'M SO GLAD TO BE

ABLE TO SAY THIS, JOHN, THAT

THE DOCTRINE OF PURGATORY

IS NOT FOUND IN THE BIBLE.

THE REASON THAT IT AROSE

IN MEDIEVAL TIMES WAS THIS.

THERE WAS THE BELIEF IN

THE CHURCH THAT WE ARE SAVED

THROUGH THE SACRAMENTS

AND THROUGH OUR GOOD WORKS.

SO PEOPLE BELIEVED THAT THERE

WERE MANY WHO DIED WHO WERE

TOO GOOD TO GO TO HELL,

BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO GO

TO HEAVEN. SO AS A RESULT OF

THAT THEY FELT THAT YOU HAD

TO SUFFER AND BE PURGED IN

PURGATORY, IN THE FIRES OF

PURGATORY, AND THEN AFTER

THAT PURGING YOU WOULD FINALLY

BE GOOD ENOUGH TO GO TO

HEAVEN. WELL, THE GOOD NEWS

IS THIS, THAT WHEN WE TRUST

JESUS CHRIST AS OUR SAVIOR,

HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IS CREDITED

TO US. AND THERE IS

NO PURGATORY; WE GO DIRECTLY

FROM THIS LIFE TO THE NEXT.

PURGATORY DOES NOT EXIST.

SO THERE IS NO THIRD

CLASSIFICATION, HEAVEN, HELL,

PURGATORY. NOW, REGARDING

THE MATTER OF ASSURANCE

WHICH IS SO CRITICAL.

YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES WHEN I FLY

I FLY STANDBY.

THAT MEANS I DON'T HAVE

A TICKET. I DON'T HAVE

A PLACE ON THE PLANE,

BUT I'M HOPING THAT THERE

WILL BE AN EMPTY SEAT SO THAT

I CAN FLY. MOST OF THE TIMES

I HAVE A TICKET.

AND WHEN YOU HAVE A TICKET

YOU AREN'T NERVOUS BECAUSE

YOU KNOW THERE'S A PLACE ON

THE PLANE FOR ME. NOW HERE'S

THE GOOD NEWS: WHEN PEOPLE

RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS

THEIR SAVIOR THAT IS THEIR

TICKET. THERE IS A PLACE

RESERVED IN HEAVEN JUST

FOR YOU. IMAGINE THAT.

AND THE WAY IN WHICH WE HAVE

ASSURANCE IS THIS, THAT IF WE

BELIEVE THAT WHEN JESUS DIED

ON THE CROSS HE DID ALL THAT

EVER WILL BE NECESSARY FOR US

TO BE FORGIVEN AND TO BELONG

TO GOD FOREVER, AND WE RECEIVE

THAT AS OUR OWN, THEN WE NOT

ONLY ARE SAVED, BUT WE KNOW

IT. AND THE BASIS OF

OUR ASSURANCE IS NOT ON

OUR PERFORMANCE, WHICH IS

SO FLAWED. THE BASIS IS

THE PROMISES OF JESUS THAT

"HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME HAS

ETERNAL LIFE." IT'S ALL ABOUT

BELIEVING IN CHRIST AND NOT

IN OURSELVES. AND EVEN OVER

OUR SINS WHICH WE OFTEN

STRUGGLE WITH, IMPORTANT

THOUGH THAT IS, THE REAL ISSUE

IS WHETHER OR NOT WE'VE

TRUSTED CHRIST. HE'S THE ONE

WHO BRINGS US ALL THE WAY

TO THE FATHER.

>>ANKERBERG: YES AND FOLKS IF

YOU'RE WATCHING AND YOU SAY

LOOK, I REALIZE I'M A SINNER

AND I WANT TO PUT MY BELIEF

IN CHRIST. HOW DO I DO THAT?

YOU SAY A PRAYER AND YOU ADMIT

THAT YOU ARE A SINNER TO

THE LORD AND YOU PUT YOUR

TRUST IN HIM. AND I WANT TO

ASK ERWIN TO SAY THIS PRAYER

AND IF YOU WANT TO DO THIS

RIGHT NOW, IF YOU WANT TO PUT

YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST AND ASK

HIM TO SAVE YOU, I'D ASK YOU

TO PRAY ALONG AS ERWIN PRAYS.

>>LUTZER: FATHER, I KNOW THAT

I AM A SINNER. I KNOW THAT

I AM BOUND FOR HELL AND

I ALSO KNOW THAT I DESERVE IT.

BUT AT THIS MOMENT I THANK YOU

THAT JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS

AND ROSE AGAIN. AND BECAUSE

HE IS A SAVIOR I THANK YOU

THAT ON THE CROSS HE BORE

MY HELL AND THEREFORE

I RECEIVE HIM AS MY SACRIFICE,

AS MY SAVIOR. I RECEIVE HIM

AS MY LORD AND I PUT MY FAITH

AND CONFIDENCE IN WHAT

HE HAS DONE FOR ME.

THANK YOU THAT HE DIED AND WAS

RAISED AGAIN FOR ME.

I RECEIVE THAT AS MINE.

IN JESUS' BLESSED NAME, AMEN.

>>ANKERBERG: IT'S TREMENDOUS

STUFF. AND, FOLKS, AT THE END

OF OUR PROGRAM TODAY

WE'RE GOING TO SHOW YOU

A PLACE ON OUR WEBSITE THAT IF

YOU YOURSELF RIGHT NOW

WOULD LIKE TO PRAY AND INVITE

JESUS TO BE YOUR SAVIOR,

THERE'S A PLACE FOR YOU JUST

TO CLICK ON AND THERE'LL BE

A PRAYER THAT YOU CAN SAY

WITH ALL SINCERITY TO GOD,

AND THE LORD JESUS WILL

SAVE YOU. SO I WOULD ADVISE

YOU THAT IF GOD IS SPEAKING

TO YOU RIGHT NOW THAT YOU

DO THAT. AND NOW, NEXT WEEK

WE'RE REALLY GOING TO GET

INTO SOME OF THE THINGS THAT

YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT WHAT

HAPPENS TO YOU ONE MINUTE

AFTER YOU DIE. AND WE'RE GOING

Q & A: What If I Can't Send My Child to a Waldorf School? - Duration: 5:16.

Hello, friends! I'm Sarah Baldwin and this is another episode of Sunday with Sarah

where I answer your questions. So many of you have written to me and left such

kind comments and thank you, it's really encouraging to me to get this kind of

feedback because I love doing these videos for you more than anything

and I get such great questions. One of the most common questions that I get, and

I've gotten it from so many of you I'm going to address it all at once,

is from those of you for whom a Waldorf school education is not a

possibility and some of you who are working parents where Waldorf

homeschooling is not a possibility. You may not live anywhere near a Waldorf

school. I know that's an awful lot of families, I know not everyone can afford

to send their children to a Waldorf school and I know a lot of these videos

I'm sharing my love of Waldorf education but I'm here to tell you that there is

so much that you can do as a parent at home that's probably far more important

than what school your child goes to. And some of those ways, the first thing I

would recommend is just having a rhythm to your days. If you're a working parent

try to bring as much calmness and rhythm to your home life as possible. I would

recommend getting up early enough in the morning to have plenty of relaxed time

to make breakfast and not be rushed and not be hurried and bringing elements

like a verse before meals and sitting down together at mealtime for breakfast

and again at dinner, lighting a candle. And the times that you are at home with

your children—in the mornings, in the evenings, on weekends—bringing as much

predictability and and rhythm to that time as you can will

just go a really long way in creating a nurturing environment for your child

where your child feels safe, it will reduce stress and reduce anxiety and

that could mean in the evening having a regular bedtime and a certain order

to the evening where there's dinner time and then clean up and then

bath time and then a story before bed at which you light a candle and

a verse before bed. And then, the more you learn, elements you can

bring to home or either having a garden, spending lots of time outdoors in nature,

the kinds of books that you share with your child, read them fairy tales. I would

really say that a loving home life and a rhythmic home life is more

important than what kind of school your child goes to. There's nothing that

replaces the love of a parent. So just to re-emphasize, having a loving home

environment, a rhythmic home environment, having a parent who is present for that

time when you are with your child in the mornings, in the evenings, on weekends, goes

a really long way, is far more important than what school your child goes to. That

said, I would also recommend being involved in your child's school as much

as possible, communicating with their teachers, knowing what's going on at

school, knowing who their friends are. But if you're a working parent, if

you're unable to send your child to a Waldorf school, you can relax. Learn as

much as you can about all the elements that you can bring into your home to

provide that Waldorf environment at home. So thanks so much for watching. Keep

those questions coming, I love answering them.

Leave your comments below and don't forget to subscribe to the Sunday with

Sarah YouTube channel and click the little bell to be notified whenever

there is a new video released and until then I'll see you next time. Have a great

week. Bye-bye.

WHAT IS 798?! | Exploring Beijing's Booming Art Zone, China - Duration: 2:33.

Okay, so today I'm checking out Beijing's 798 Art District. Should be interesting to check out the Chinese art scene here in Beijing

This is our Chinese Starbucks experience

First we grabbed our morning coffee at Starbucks which like most Western chains had a slightly different menu for the Chinese market

Green Tea Cheesecake? That looks really good actually!

We then took the subway, in which the walls of the tunnel flashed advertisements through the windows

I'm sure we'll be seeing this in the West very soon

We arrived at the district. which was built in the 50s as a military factory to house about 20,000 workers

It was designed by Germans, who with their Bauhaus approach to architecture created large indoor spaces to maximise natural light

So Alondra's friend, put her in contact with his friend

Ni Hao

Who has a gallery here in the art district!

The factory had a short life and by the end of the century it was practically abandoned

At the same time Beijing's art community was looking for a home and discovered these

cathedral-like spaces for extremely cheap rent

Some amazing installation spaces in here!

Sure enough, artists flocked to the area and since 2000 it's boomed; today a major attraction

So we're in the Art District having some lunch.

Firstly the Art District is also awesome! Every street has got sculptures, shops and really cool cafes

I saw this girl posing with these statues and I think I may have surprised her...

Every city should have an art district because it's such a great idea

You don't have to travel between galleries, they're all here!

Can I get a goodbye for the camera?

So that was a quick video, scratching the surface of the art zone; if you visit Beijing I definitely recommend it!

Also can I mention how only in China you'd find a huge panda statue next to the road?

Thanks for watching and hit subscribe to see more of China and more over the world

Until next time 'zai jian'

(I think I said that right?)

Also head over to my music channel to hear my latest track... Oscarama out

Bush Just Took FIRM Stand On Kavanaugh And People Are Furious About What He Had To Say - Duration: 5:16.

Controversy regarding Judge Kavanaugh during the past few weeks has exploded.

Everyone is divided into their own sides of the aisle.

The opinion of one high profile politician could sway public opinion in a different direction,

though.

The Daily Caller reported, "Former President George W. Bush still supports

Brett Kavanaugh after the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on s*exual assault

accusations against the Supreme Court nominee.

Politico asked Bush on Thursday if he still supports Kavanaugh's nomination.

"Yes, he does," Freddy Ford, Bush's chief of staff, said.

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford testified on Thursday that Kavanaugh groped her and held his hand

over her mouth at a high school party in the summer of 1982.

Kavanaugh categorically denied the allegation and accused Democrats of conducting a coordinated

smear against him.

In addition to his on the record support, Bush is also reportedly wh*ipping votes for

Kavanaugh's confirmation.

Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Jeff Flake of Arizona, and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska

have all received calls from Bush in recent days urging them to support Kavanaugh.

Kavanaugh served as an associate counsel in the White House and then staff secretary during

Bush's presidency.

When Kavanaugh was first accused of s*exual misconduct by Ford, Bush said, "Laura [Bush]

and I have known and respected Brett Kavanaugh for decades, and we stand by our comments

the night Judge Kavanaugh was nominated: 'He is a fine husband, father, and friend — and

a man of the highest integrity.'"

Business Insider reported, "According to The Post, in recent days,

Bush has contacted at least some of the senators seen as swing votes — Democratic Sen. Joe

Manchin and Republican Sens. Susan Collins, Jeff Flake, and Lisa Murkowski — to discuss

their votes as Kavanaugh faces multiple allegations of se*xual misconduct.

The Post's report suggests Bush decided to contact the senators because they are less

likely to be swayed by President Donald Trump.

The report indicates Bush called the senators before Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford,

who has accused him of se*xually assaulting her when they were teenagers in the 1980s,

testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday.

Flake announced on Friday that he would vote to confirm Kavanaugh.

Shortly after releasing his statement, Flake was confronted by survivors of se*xual assault

as he headed to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Kavanaugh worked for Bush during the 2000 presidential-election recount in Florida.

Three years later, Bush nominated Kavanaugh into the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.

Kavanaugh was Bush's White House staff secretary until 2006, while his confirmation to the

court was delayed.

Bush voiced his support for Kavanaugh in July when Trump tapped the judge as his choice

for the Supreme Court seat.

"He is a fine husband, father, and friend — and a man of the highest integrity,"

Bush said of Kavanaugh.

"He will make a superb Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States."

Bush reaffirmed his support of Kavanaugh after Ford's allegation surfaced, saying he and

his wife "stand by our comments."

Kavanaugh has denied the allegations of se*xual misconduct against him.

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday heard hours of emotional testimony from Ford

and Kavanaugh.

The Senate is expected to vote on his confirmation on Friday afternoon."

Judge Kavanaugh's history with the president goes way back.

After he finished his clerkship in the Supreme Court he worked with Ken Starr in 1997 as

Associate Counsel in the Office of the Independent Counsel.

Some of his colleagues included the likes of Alex Azar and Rod Rosenstein.

While at the White House he dealt with many different types of constitutional and legal

issues.

He even partook in the investigation into the death of Vincent Foster.

During this investigation, Kavanaugh was criticized for investing money that came from the federal

government into investigations of so-called conspiracy theories that were partisan.

Several years later in December 2000, Judge Kavanaugh started working with President Bush

regarding the ballot recount issues in Florida.

Shortly thereafter, he was brought on as an associate by the White House Counsel, who

at the time was Alberto Gonzales.

He worked on the scandal surrounding Enron, the nomination of now Supreme Couty Justice

John Roberts, as well as the nomination process of Miguel Estrada which was ultimately unsuccessful.

A few years later, he started serving as an Assistant to the President and the White House

Staff Secretary.

He had succeeded Harriet Miers.
