You know, singing in Pidgin language is very nice,

because if you want to speak real English,

you're going to say, "HE-llo."

In Pidgin English we say, "He -LLO."

So we have a different touch among our people.

Pidgin English is very nice for us Africans to use and make music,

because it has a rhythm in itself.

We say, "I no go 'gree.

Make you no go. Make you no do.

Make you no see. Make you no do."

That's Pidgin.

We call them, "Oga no go gree. Oga, I go do am."

All that is the way we do it in Africa.

That's Pidgin.

So, somebody from a Western country or somebody from America...

if you come to Africa, we speak "broken" English.

You can't understand what we say. We're going to say,

"Dat man e don come again-o."

That means, "That guy is back here again."

That's Pidgin. We say, "Ah! wet kind of man be dat?"

They're saying, "What type of guy is that?"

So, we have a way we turn it upside down.

That's why we call it Pidgin English.

Punishment, What Would Jeff Do? Dog Training Tip of the Day #157 - Duration: 2:40.

- Hey everybody, how are you?

It's Jeff Gellman with Solid K9 Training with my

What Would Jeff Do?

Dog Training Tip of the Day, Tip #157.

Look who's in the house.

(laughs)

- Hi!

- That's Joelle, she's gonna do a Facebook Live

right after this.

We just finished an almost two hour Q & A.

She filled in for Linda.

Linda's not feeling well at all today.

And it's not 'cause she's hungover

from the Taylor Swift concert.

But anyway, why do I talk about punishment so much?

Like, Jeff, you talk about punishment all the time.

Well number one, I'm doing it because, I mean,

we have tons of videos on how to reward your dog,

and there's so many videos out there

about how to reward your dog,

and how to get your dog, you know, to do something.

But the only way to stop your dog

from an unwanted behavior, is punishment.

And I'm trying to also make sure people understand,

how to properly punish a dog.

There's actually a proper way.

You know, you're not yelling, you're not screaming,

you're not mad, you're not angry.

But there's actually a proper way

to methodically do it in a way

so the dog understands what it did was wrong,

and it won't repeat it.

And that's the only way

to actually stop an unwanted behavior.

It's also the only way to proof your obedience

around high levels of distraction.

So, it's very important for people

either to go to the next level

or to stop things that usually

you end up surrendering your dog for.

Not too many people are surrendering their dog

because, yeah, you know what,

dog just didn't hold a down stay for longer than 10 minutes.

And, yeah, you know you, just, no.

It's always because my dog

was doing something I couldn't stop.

That's usually what the problem is.

So, I talk about punishment all the time,

but that's not all we do.

10% of our world revolves around punishment,

but a lot of my videos talk about it

because nobody else seems to be.

And, that's not, you know.

So I think it's important though that owners understand,

it's actually a critical part

of the dog training spectrum, you know?

So most people ask me questions on,

"Jeff, how do I stop, fill in the blank?"

The answer is, well, I don't believe

in training an alternative behavior,

'cause great, like, how do I speak better English?

Oh! Learn French!

No.

Doesn't work that way.

So, that's why I do it, because you need it.

Everybody needs it, and nobody's talking about it.

So I'll talk about it.

Jeff Gellman, Solid K9 Training.

I am madly in love with you.

If you didn't see my YouTube Live tonight,

almost two hours of Q & A, jump on over to that.

It's number 439, I think.

Been doing it for a long time.

Q & A shows for over 10 years.

What Would Jeff Do?

WWJD.

Madly in love with you, and I'll talk to you soon.

Bye.

Why Do You Need a Polarizer Filter For a GoPro? - Duration: 4:49.

Hello heroes.

A sunny day is the best time for getting the most out of your camera, but it can cause

several issues such as glare from reflected surfaces.

What can be wrong?

sky colour, reflections on water, glass, snow, trees etc.

For those who want to move their skillset forwards, a polarized filter has the potential

to turn unusable footage into professional standard videos.

Want to know what pros use to make clips overwhelmed?

Watch further.

So now I would like to show how can a polarized filter fix the issues mentioned below.

First of all, what is polarizer filter for?

The main aim of the filter is to prevent glare and reflections from the glossy surfaces,

such as water, snow, glass, stones etc.

Therefore, it helps to remove annoying glare from your photo and videos.

It affects as sunglasses for your camera.

All you need is to choose the right angle.

The maximum polarization effect takes place at an angle of 90 degrees from the sun.

This means that if the sun is at the top, you would get equally lit sky if you are shooting

at an angle of 90 degrees from the sun.

I have got the Telesin CPL filter.

The amazon link is in video description.

Let's check it out.

I made this photo using Hero5 without additional equipment.

As you can see, there is light reflection on water.

If you don't want to get a photo like that, you have better adjust a CPL filter.

That photo was made using Hero5 with the Telesin CPL filter.

Any light reflection was removed.

Moreover, all colors are more natural.

I like that photo.

Obviously, I would delete this photo if I did not use a CPL filter.

Let's compare 2 photos again.

That's exact example how CPL filter works.

It removes light reflection on water surfaces.

Do you like that result?

Leave a response in comments.

Go ahead.

It rained.

So I captured annoying light reflection.

I didn't expect that behavior.

But if I used CPL filter, I would receive another photo.

As you can see, there is no light reflection.

Let's compare 2 photos again.

If you consider the main purpose of CPL filter, that is the clear explanation.

It prevents light issues during sunny day.

This is the next photo where reflections can impact an image.

You can see it on some part of image.

By utilizing a CPL filter, you can fix that issue.

So now it looks much better.

Let's compare it again.

It is easy to see the difference.

This filter has a very noticeable effect on an image created with it.

This is another photo made without a CPL filter.

You can see the reflections on the roof and grass.

We adjusted a CPL filter and now you can see the benefits of this tool.

That's no question what is better.

By utilizing this Telesin CPL filter you can reach your best shoots despite the very hot

day.

In summary, let's count when you have to use it.

At first, if you want to cut through water and glass and see the detail behind it.

Next, if you want to get deeply saturated colours.

Next, if you would like to remove light reflections because it annoys you.

Finally, it protects your lens from impact and the elements.

But there are several cases where I felt that using a polarizer actually made for a worse

image.

Like for example, light reflection sometimes has blue, red or other colour, and you have

better not to use filter to keep that impact.

During capturing waterfall, you can realize the rocks have super wet look, if you decide

to keep that for a better image not to use the polarizer.

When the sun has gone down and it's starting to get dark, there's little point in using

a polarizer.

That is not a good idea to use it during night shooting

too.

If you consider that reflection on water make an image better, obviously you might not to

use a filter.

Like for example, if you want to shoot rainbow, you might know that if you adjust a polarizer,

the rainbow effect will disappear in your photo.

You can decide what elements should keep, what elements should remove.

It is easy to carry this filter and mount on your GoPro camera fast.

Please feel free to share your experience, your expectations, your advices in using polarizer

filters.

CPL filters are not too expensive.

I use Telesin CPL filter for about $10.

The results speak for themselves.

That's all heroes.

Why Do Dogs Pant? | Outrageous Acts of Science - Duration: 1:07.

[ PANTING ]

Narrator: YEAH, MIKE AND ADAM HAVE OBVIOUSLY BEEN WORKING TO HARD.

BUT WHY IS DOSH PANTING LIKE A STEAM TRAIN?

WHEN MAMMALS GET TOO HOT, THEIR MAIN WAY OF COOLING OFF

IS THROUGH A PROCESS CALLED EVAPORATIVE COOLING.

AND THIS IS ESSENTIALLY THE PROCESS

THAT TURNS WATER FROM A LIQUID TO A VAPOR,

ABSORBING ENERGY WITH IT AS IT DOES IT.

IN HUMANS, EVAPORATIVE COOLING TAKES PLACE ON OUR SKIN,

WHERE SWEAT GLANDS PRODUCE SWEAT

WHICH THEN EVAPORATES TO COOL US DOWN.

BECAUSE HUMANS CAN SWEAT, THIS EVAPORATIVE COOLING

TAKES PLACE ALL OVER OUR BODIES.

BUT WITH DOGS, IT ONLY TAKES PLACE

IN A COUPLE TINY SPOTS

ON THEIR PAWS WHERE THEY HAVE SWEAT GLANDS.

SO THEY HAVE TO FIND OTHER MOIST SURFACES

TO EVAPORATE WATER FROM,

WHICH WOULD BE THEIR MOUTH,

THEIR TONGUE, AND THEIR NASAL PASSAGES.

THOSE LOCATIONS HAVE A LOT OF BLOOD VESSELS.

SO WHAT HE'S COOLING DOWN

IS THE BLOOD INSIDE THOSE VESSELS

WHICH CIRCULATES THROUGHOUT HIS WHOLE BODY,

THUS COOLING HIM OFF.

Narrator: WHEN IT COMES TO CHILLING OUT,

DOSH HAS IT LICKED, NO SWEAT.

Don't go after your goals without knowing your WHY - Duration: 1:48.

We say that we want something but there's so many other things behind

that and if you can't get to that core (reason behind your goal) we're often distracted by other things and we

can be chasing things that are not going to end up fulfilling us.

Here's an example of what I mean: There are a lot of people—most of us—we would

love to have some more money. So maybe your want statement is "I want to be rich."

Which is totally fine...let's talk about that! So why do you want to be rich?

Maybe you say "I don't want to have to worry about bills." Great, why don't you want to

have to worry about bills? "Because I don't want to have to take a job I don't

like for money." Okay, why don't you want that? "I want to be in control of my time...

I don't want to be working all the time." Great, why don't you want that? "I want to

be there for my kids' soccer games, I want to be there to help them with their

homework, I want to be there for my parents when they need me...I want to have

a life!" Great, what is that about? What do you

WANT? "I want to be there for the moments that matter." THAT'S what you want, which

is really different from "I want to be rich." So if you're going for the money,

you could get it from the money, but there are also a lot of people who have

money or are very wealthy—have more than they need—and their time is not their own and

they're miserable, so if that's what you're going for, you might not get the

"moments that matter" that you're looking for. So now that you know that's

really what you want, you can look at that and brainstorm how you bring that

into your life. It could be starting your own business and being in control

of your time, or that could be you have an employer who values your time and

your work-life balance and gives you flexibility. So that's what I mean by

getting to your core want.
