The freight on this dedicated fleet is driver friendly.

There's not required driver load or unload.

At the stores you will not be required to touch the freight, to unload it.

You are required to be on the dock.

You are going to get some consistent routes.

You may not be on the same route everyday or the same route every week but there are

a limited number of stores that are served by the Mankato Facility.

So over time you are going to learn the routes that you run, learn the stores that you visit.

You know the benefits for drivers on this fleet beyond the great pay, and the home time,

and consistency in miles are our benefits which is our health coverage which is gold

standard coverage.

We do a 401k match, but even better than that is our profit sharing program.

At the end of the year our company ownership determines how much of our profits to share

with all of us.

All of the employees including the drivers.

If you would really like to become part of a team that has proven that we can be successful

and provide great service and have a rewarding career please join the Crete team.

#OurMN: GreenCorps Preserves and Protects Minnesota's Environment - Duration: 2:51.

My name is Lauren Jensen and I'm currently a MN GreenCorps member, serving with Winona

County's Planning and Environmental Services Department.

Lauren Jensen is one of dozens of young people who are making an environmental impact on

communities through Minnesota GreenCorps.

The program is made possible in part by our state tax dollars.

Minnesota GreenCorps is a program where we take individuals and place them in communities

to help protect the environment and also provide an opportunity for the individuals to become

our next leaders in our environmental areas our next professionals doing environmental

work.

Lauren is making waves in Winona County.

So today we're starting out with a rain garden maintenance workshop.

When she's not in the office, her hands are in the dirt.

We have some volunteers coming in to help clean up a rain garden in town at Bluff Country

Co-Op.

And her head is flooded with ideas to make the environment better for the county.

They put in the rain garden a year or two ago to really help mitigate the flooding that

was happening in their parking lot.

And so we're going to be weeding it out, clearing dirt out of its inlets so that water

can flow in there better.

None of this is really possible without grant funding and in particular the GreenCorps program.

Weʼre very cognizant though that its an honor to receive a competitive grant like GreenCorps

or any other grant we receive with state dollars and we want to be good stewards of the funding

to make sure itʼs used efficiently.

GreenCorps members are heavily vetted through the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

This works is really important to the pollution control agency because it makes a connection

of the work that we do with the community.

a lot of the work we need to have done requires people to change their behavior and communities

are the place that we can start.

Lauren's focus is on stormwater management, education, and outreach.

We're also going to be stenciling some storm drains.

So when they see that there, they can be more conscious of you know, is there oil leaking

out of my car that's flowing down this drain? or sweeping up their grass from their street

after they've mowed their lawn.

Because it all ends up in lakes, rivers, and streams.

We live in the land of 10,000 lakes and we like to be outside, we like to recreate

on that water and so it's important to me that people are aware of these issues and

and they're aware of what storm water is.

If they're educated about it then they can know how to make a difference.

And Lauren's passion for the environment flows beyond her work with GreenCorps and

into the local waterways where she volunteers.

It's giving people opportunities to change, it's giving them opportunities to be involved,

and it's really just creating resilient communities.

I think that's really how it's affecting not only Winona but the state.

It's all small steps that we can take at home that really help make a difference as

a whole.

Dr. Dana Schomberg shares her experience with the Minnesota North Star Roller Derby - Duration: 3:53.

Another exciting thing that I've been able to do as a chiropractor, is work with some

athletic teams around the metro area.

One of the main teams that I work with is the North Star roller derby.

Basically they are roller derby athletes, a group of women that skate around after work,

and they are super athletic and they're super strong and they are just so inspirational.

What I do with them is about three to four times throughout their season I go into their

practice space and I watch their mechanics and I make sure that they're skating correctly,

and I make sure that they're utilizing their muscles right.

I usually will do a little workshop with them.

Maybe teach them how to foam roll or rehabilitate some of their muscles that are tight.

I watch to make sure that their stance is correct, that they're not doing anything awkward

or dangerous with their posture.

They have between four and five tournaments a year, where I go to the space that they're

playing, I bring my chiropractic table and I sit on the sidelines and if one of the girls

gets knocked over goofy and they shift a rib out of alignment, they run over to me and

they're like fix me up.

They don't say fix me up, they say "Doc Bones" can you help me?

Because that's what they call me, that's my name, I'm "Doc Bones", that's pretty cool.

One of my favorite patient cases I guess, with these girls is not only do they have

the league that participates in tournaments, but they have a league where it's kind of

like the practice squad where these girls aspire to become regular athletes on the full-blown

league.

Some of the girls that are on the practice squad so to speak, have come in to see me

because they've struggled with some mechanics, or muscle control, or their skating.

In particular, there is this one girl that came in, that had a really uncoordinated balance,

she wasn't able to skate very well, and so she was never able to make the time on these

various tests that they have you do to make the team.

That was just her one goal, is to make the team.

I took an x-ray of her hips because that was where the main problem was coming from, and

noticed that her left hip was significantly lower than her right.

It was also rotated, and the muscles were spasmed on that side she was working her left

side way too hard, and her right side didn't even know what it was supposed to do.

Through a series of chiropractic adjustments and some simple but effective physical

therapy modalities, we were able to completely balance out her hips.

She was able to skate around in a circle, make all of her times, and she actually ended

up making the league after about a year and a half of trying so hard.

That was really cool to help her realize that her body had the ability to do it, and it

was awesome be a part of that.
