JUDY WOODRUFF: With Larry Nassar now sentenced to life in prison for his sexual assault of

countless young female athletes, under the guise of medical treatment, much of the focus

has been on what officials at USA Gymnastics knew or should've known about Nassar's crimes.

But, as William Brangham reports, there are also new questions about what was known at

Michigan State University, where Nassar has worked for almost 20 years, and where many

of his crimes occurred.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Larry Nassar joined Michigan State University in 1997.

He was already a physician and trainer with USA Gymnastics at the time.

As the allegations against him became widely known in 2016, MSU officials claimed initially

to have had no prior knowledge of his behavior.

But several reports, lawsuits and victims' testimony allege the university did know of

allegations against Nassar for years.

In just the past week, the university's president and athletic director have resigned.

And, today, the state's attorney general, Bill Schuette, said he wants all documents,

texts and e-mails from the university about what Larry Nassar.

Joining me now to unpack all of this is Matt Mencarini.

He's been covering the Nassar case for a year-and-a-half for The Lansing State Journal in Michigan.

Matt, thank you very much for being here.

Let's just start at the beginning here.

In 2016, The Indy Star publishes an expose alleging -- it was largely focused on U.S.

Gymnastics and how they had overlooked allegations about Nassar's behavior.

The focus was on them at the time.

Can you remind us, what did Michigan State University at the time say they knew about

his behavior?

MATT MENCARINI, The Lansing State Journal: They said very little initially, that they

had fielded a complaint.

A new lawsuit had been -- excuse me -- they had fielded a complaint, and a new police

report had been filed alleging sexual assaults against him dating back decades.

They then soon fired him several days after the first Indy Star story.

And one of the reasons they had fired him was because he didn't follow protocols put

in place after a 2014 Title IX investigation and he had not told the university that, 10

years before that, the Meridian Township Police Department investigated him for a sexual assault

allegation.

Those were two of the first times that the university acknowledged that they had some

awareness of sexual assault allegations against him before the Indy Star and before Rachael

Denhollander in the end of 2016.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: So, you mentioned that Title IX investigation.

I know you have done a good deal of reporting about that.

Tell us what that investigation was triggered by, what it looked into, and how the university

responded.

MATT MENCARINI: In April of 2014, a woman who at time was a recent graduate reported

to a university doctor that during an appointment the month prior, a few weeks prior, that Nassar

had sexually assaulted her.

That prompted the university to start a Title IX investigation and contact the university's

police department to conduct a separate criminal investigation.

The university's Title IX investigation concluded about three months later and determined that

what Nassar did wasn't in fact sexual assault, that it was an illegitimate medical procedure.

They reached that conclusion largely from four medical experts who all worked for the

university, all had close ties to Nassar.

And then, when that wrapped up in July, the police investigation dragged out for another

16 months, during which the university allowed him to see patients, before ultimately the

Ingham County prosecuting attorney's office declined to charge him in December of 2015.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: So, the people that they consulted to say were these very physically

invasive, now we know of them as sexual assaults, in essence, they -- those people were friends

of Nassar's or colleagues of Nassar's, and they were the ones verifying that this was

OK to the university's investigation?

MATT MENCARINI: Correct.

They were either colleagues or very good friends.

Some were a mixture of that, had known him for a long time, were familiar with the procedures

he performed.

A key detail about that 2014 report and investigation is that is one of the few reported to police

or in lawsuits without any penetration.

That changes slightly some of the context that it's in and the answers and the input

that those four experts gave to the university about what Nassar said he was doing and what

the woman said he did to her.

Both of their accounts were pretty similar to each other.

And so the experts were kind of trying to determine if what he was doing could be a

medical procedure.

The Title IX investigator determined that, based on those conversations with those experts,

that it was and that this woman misinterpreted what happened to her as sexual assault, when,

in fact, it was a medical procedure.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: And you and others have reported that the university put out its Title

IX report and it gave that to the victim herself.

But then the university had a separate version that had a lot more detail in it, that was

somewhat more damning.

Can you explain?

MATT MENCARINI: Yes, that's one of the new revelations from the last couple of weeks.

On Friday, I was able to obtain a full Title IX report with the full conclusion section

that had more detail than the university's analysis of what happened during that medical

appointment.

It had much stronger language.

It found significant problems and it found that Nassar's conduct could present patients,

could expose patients to unnecessary trauma from perceived sexual misconduct.

The report that woman received had a 41-word conclusion section that just said, thank you

for bringing your concerns forward.

It has allowed us to look at ways to change policies within the medicine -- the medical

clinic.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: We know that two senior officials at the university resigned.

We know the state attorney general is now launching an investigation.

What is the feeling in the community itself on the university and amongst officials about,

do they believe the university has done enough, is doing enough, and what's the sense there?

MATT MENCARINI: Tone-deaf is the word that was -- or the phrase that was thrown out a

lot leading up to the sentencing hearing, which dragged into two weeks.

That was what was described of the university response.

You have seen that start to change as that sentencing hearing hit day five, and six,

and seven, quickly followed by a couple resignations from the university.

The response publicly and in the area, there have been concerns and questions and uneasiness

with the way the university has handled much of this case since the first report by The

Indy Star in September of 2016.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: All right, Matt Mencarini of The Lansing State Journal, thank you very

much for your time.

MATT MENCARINI: Thanks for having me.

What I really Think Of The HUDA BEAUTY FAUX FILTER FOUNDATION | MakeupByParesa - Duration: 4:46.

hi everybody welcome back this hair is gonna really annoy me I'm pretty sure

you can see by title from what it is is my header beauty foundation review I've

had this foundation for a while so many people would have really against the

packaging because it's like plastic and it's quite no I would I wouldn't taste

an expensive foundation but it is up there

it's thirty two-pound which to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be really cheap I

know so many people are like wow 20 foundations in 26 pounds and it's a

glass but why is her w/e by 80 pounds to be honest everyone is going to be

different so yeah don't expect like 799 but with regards to the fact that it's

plastic and people are saying it at that price it should be glass I don't really

see that as a thing because I can get a 799 foundation in a glass bottle and I

can get 32 Pung foundation in a plastic bottle it's more of the person behind

the foundation that you're painful I know a lot of people were complaining

about that and I'm just like yo you need to chill the shade I got is in baklava

which is free for TG it is on that foundation so just dry down in your skin

it does not oxidize it does come with a little sample of the primer I've heard a

lot of people say how bad this is so yeah I've not tried it I can't give you

my opinion on it she said that it's best applied with a dense brush or a beauty

sponge now I've tried that and I feel like for me personally that is when it

looks its worst I don't like using a dense brush or a sponge to apply the

foundation like it's too much and it really sits especially here it really

sits into those line and we have lines but like when I smart when I talk

obviously you do not get lines and I feel like it just looks 100 times worse

and actually is I then tried it with a sort of less dense more sheer brush like

this one morphe m4a4 now I don't know if you can see but the minute you put it on

you know it's a thick foundation it definitely is a matte heavy foundation

which sometimes can be really difficult to blend across your face I do

find out I have to work really fast because it just dries really quickly you

will definitely notice the scent it smells really strong of like perfume

it's not a horrible smell it's just a nice sort of floral smell but it is very

very strong I can really smell it on my face all day long it is good at covering

like it's covered those spots quite well I do notice that when I wear this

foundation I can really see my pores so these are the pros it is full coverage

it does last pretty much all day you don't necessarily need to set the

foundation though in some areas I do around my mouth especially it's got a

pretty good shade range the cons is that it smells way too strong of perfume it

does dry down on your skin but then it is a matte foundation so it's going to

happen but it does dry down your skin so the color that you first put on won't be

the shade that will be on your face like it will dry

sorry darker also it is a bit too thick in terms of how it sits on your skin I

don't have any concealer on so you can sort of see my dark circles there but it

has covered them quite well though you can see my pores around this area which

I have foundations that you just can't see my pores so I feel like this does

make them look a lot worse I would say it is a good foundation I really enjoy

wearing the foundation but I have to work quite hard at really making it sit

well on my skin overall I mean it is a great foundation but in my opinion I

feel like it just creases too much on my face that it just makes me not want to

use it so that and the smell is just too much for me I will continue to use it

but I won't repurchase it so I hope you enjoyed the video if you did of course

give it a thumbs up subscribe for more videos as well if you have a product

that you really want me to review for you let me know thank you for watching

and I shall see you in my next video

What is Qi and Blood - Scientific TCM - Duration: 3:12.

In today's lesson, we'll talk about the core of traditional Chinese medicine, that is Qi and blood.

What is Qi? Does it really exist?

And what about 'blood' in Chinese medicine? Is it same as the blood in our blood vessel?

So let's answer these questions in more details.

During our last lesson, we talked about Yin and Yang

Yin and Yang in Chinese medicine is actually metabolism in modern medicine.

And Qi and Blood is actually the substances that flow in our circulation system during metabolism

OK, let's explain them in more details using the metabolic map

They are the substance in the circulation system

Qi is the special gas substance

And what about blood in Chinese medicine?

It is absolutely not the blood components in our blood vessel.

Absolutely not!

Then what is 'blood' in Chinese medicine?

It is the liquid substance in our entire circulatory system, apart from blood in blood vessel

It has a fixed flow law

Such as lymph fluid and tissue fluid

And a lot of students asked me

"Dr Liu, does Qi and blood in Chinese medicine really exist?"

I can assure you that they 100% exist

How can I be so sure?

Because we can hear the sound of Qi and blood flowing in patient's circulation system very clearly during our clinical treatment.

It is very loud and flows in a particular order

And the speed is very fast!

And you might ask, so what does it sound like?

You can listen to the sound of gas and liquid flowing in the pipe. It's quite similar

And not only does the doctor hear it during treatment,

Our patients can also hear and feel these gas and liquid flows in their body very clearly.

What Are The 7 Chakras And Their Meanings? | How Many Chakras Are There & Who Cares? - Duration: 5:56.

David: In this video we're going to teach you about the 7 Chakras.

Heather: Plus stay to the end for a secret weapon to discover your personal Chakra identity.

I'm Heather.

David: And I'm David.

Heather: From Zen Rose Garden.

David: Dot com.

Heather: Yes.

David: Helping people create- Heather: Badass lives.

What is a Chakra?

David: So a Chakra is basically a vortex, a spinning wheel of energy that is used to

draw energy in and release energy out.

Heather: From your body.

David: From your body.

Heather: From the body.

David: From the body.

Heather: The Chakra is no longer a theoretical thing, there are actually imaging systems

that can show you these energy centers in your body.

David: There are thousands of Chakras.

The main seven that we're gonna cover have to do with seven different parts of your life,

that many.

Heather: Let's get into it.

David: Into the Chakras.

Heather: Yes.

The first Chakra is your Root Chakra which is located at the base of your spine.

The color is red and the purpose in your life is stability, foundation, grounding, root

sexuality, primal protection.

David: And letting your stuff go.

Heather: Yes.

David: Then we go onto the Sacral Chakra.

The Sacral Chakra is located around about your belly button, about a couple inches below.

Its color is orange and it has to do with the passion in life, your creative expression

and sensuality and sexuality in life.

Heather: It's really important that this Chakra is activated if you are a dancer or a creative

person or somebody that's very passionate about what they do, it's good to have it open.

David: Yes.

Heather: The next Chakra is the Solar Plexus Chakra and as the name states it is located

right about here where your Solar Plexus is.

The color is yellow and the purpose in your life is about power, it's about boundaries,

it's about feeling safe in your skin, it's about achievement, it's about mental capacity

even though it's not in your mind it's here.

David: This is a great Chakra for CEOs or any entrepreneurial type people.

Heather: Yes.

David: Next we come to the Heart Chakra which is located where?

About the heart.

The color is green and this has to do with your emotion.

A lot of emotions, a lot of relationships, a lot of love for the world, love for yourself

that would be the Heart Chakra.

Heather: Compassion.

David: Definitely.

Heather: And all the mushy, mushy stuff.

The fifth Chakra is located in your throat and guess what?

It's called the Throat Chakra.

Its color is traditionally turquoise, its purpose is you guessed it, speaking, singing,

expression, creative expression, writing, all those kinds of things.

David: This is great for singers or artists of any kind.

Next we come to the Third Eye Chakra which is located about your third eye which is also

called the Brow Chakra.

Heather: It's in the middle of your forehead.

David: Middle of your forehead.

This one is indigo and basically has to do with your intuition, your gut instincts even

though it's not your gut.

Heather: They all kind of work together.

David: Yeah, so it has to do with psychic abilities, it has to do with all that kind

of mystical awesomeness.

Heather: It also has to do with abstract thought.

Someone that is a philosopher might have a very active third eye.

The Third Eye is not just for mystical wooji people it's for anybody who's like genius

status.

David: Yep, Einstein would be very Third Eye.

Heather: I think everybody's genius status but ... The seventh Chakra is the Crown Chakra

and it is on top of your head.

The color is traditionally white or violet and its purpose is connection to the bigger

picture, connection to spirit.

David: You can call it God, angels, the universe, whatever higher essence of everything that

created the everything that would be the connection through the Crown.

Heather: That's what the Crown is all about.

David: Now it's time for the bonus tip.

Heather: Bonus tip.

David: Now we're gonna tell you a little bit about how Chakras spin.

Heather: Chakras spin right and they spin left.

The word Chakra means wheel of light and just like a wheel the Chakra spins, it spins right

and it spins left.

One way it's releasing energy and another way it's bringing energy in.

The Chakras that are in the body spin this way and this way, but the unique thing about

the Crown Chakra and the Root Chakra is that they spin up and down.

Heather: The Crown Chakra spins this way and the Root Chakra also spins this way facing

down.

The Crown Chakra is pulling in energy from the source, the sun, the universe, Root Chakra

is pulling in energy from the Earth.

You get energy from the source and energy from the Earth and they just kind of like

bring it all in.

Supernova Energy.

David: You just learned the basics to understanding Chakras.

Heather: Now it's time for that secret weapon.

David: We created a special quiz to figure out which celebrity Chakra you are.

Take the quiz to find out.

Heather: Click the link in the description to get it.

David: Go get it.

Heather: It's truth bomb time.

David: Truth bomb time.

Leave your truth bomb moments and any questions you have in the comments below.

Heather: If you liked this video hit the like button.

David: I know you can think of at least two people who can benefit from this information

so share it with anyone that comes to mind.

If you're ready to take your BADASS life to the next level-

Heather: Be sure to subscribe.

David: And click the bell to turn notifications on.

Heather: So you are the first to know- David: When we drop a video-

What our morning vanlife routine looks like - Korean Campervan Travel - Duration: 11:03.

Hello and good morning everyone.

Today.. we woke up a little late.

We were pretty tired last night.

So this morning...

Or is it lunch time...

Anyways, we're starting our day.

First...

Let's try that again...

In the mornings

We don't often show you what's going on.

So today

we'll give more details on what our mornings are like.

So first..

Well, last night we made mussel stew.

So the posts and kitchenware we used to make it

needs to be washed.

It's fun to cook but not to clean after.

Let me show you the spot we're camping at.

The sparkling water is Geum River.

and dried reeds.

Isn't it beautiful.

Now that all the dishes have been washed

you can see behind me

what a mess it is.

This all needs to be tidied up.

Tubi isn't very big.

Because she's small she needs to stay organized.

We need to stay on top of it.

Finished tidying up this back area.

These are the sleeping bag cases.

But we are just going leave them folded like this.

And there's all our stuff.

And over here

We set up the screen to see a movie last night.

But..

There was a problem with the movie files.

Actually, the files were okay.

The problem was we forgot to load them

on the USB memory stick.

So we didn't see a movie last night.

But the screen is still up.

Today

We'll use our mobile data

And download a movie.

And watch a scary movie tonight.

Mark is heating up some tortillas.

This is our butane heater.

You stand it up this way.

So Mark is heating the tortillas on a pot lid.

Add a bit more.

Looks like you're going to make a...

burrito mandu (dumpling)

Why is everything in the middle?

It's my style.

I always forget how to fold it though.

See how there's nothing in the top.

Then!

What I can do... I can fill it up more.

This is my style.

You know what I'm saying.

Yummy.

What we're eating are breakfast burritos.

Has bacon, eggs and salsa.

It's really good.

This is...

This is really easy to make.

If you just have bacon, eggs, and salsa

You can have a hearty meal.

And hot.

Today the wind is blowing

so it feels colder than yesterday.

It's only 4:36pm.

But the temperature is already falling.

So tonight we'll stay inside Tubi.

And yesterdays we tried to watch a movie.

So we downloaded a movie

but it needs to be reformatted.

So we're converting it to an MP4 for the projector.

It will take about an hour.

So after it's done we'll watch it on that screen.

Oh!

Also..

Do you remember our DIY power bank video.

If you haven't seen it, click on the 'i'.

We made a battery bank.

And this time we brought our solar panel with us.

But we haven't installed our roof rack yet.

And there is still some work to be done one the exterior.

So we've delayed the roof rack a bit.

But we need to use our solar panel.

So it's just resting on the roof.

And it's being held in place with some large neodymium magnets

when we're using it to charge.

Marks putting it back inside now.

Removing it from the roof to inside.

You can see the cables for the solar panel.

This cable starts at the battery bank under the seat.

Comes along here and out the window.

And connects up on the roof.

So we can charge our battery.

And because it's getting colder.

Mark, show us what your holding.

Mark has the window insulation panels.

It's really super cold today.

Even though it's only just past 4:30pm.

We're going to start insulating the windows.

Before it gets even colder.

The temperature is..

inside it's 10 degrees right now.

Our side it is

There is another thermometer outside.

How many degrees?

Zero.

It's not even 5pm and it's already zero degrees.

It's about 10 degrees different inside the van and outside.

But in a little bit it's going to get really cold really quick.

It's will probably drop past minus 10 degrees.

Maybe around minus 12 degrees and windy.

Anyway, Mark is getting ready by insulating our windows.

I'm going to wait for the file to reformat.

After we insulate the windows

We'll have a warm and cozy evening.

Will it work?

I just transferred the file to the memory stick.

But I don't know if it will work.

We really wanted to see this movie last night.

It has to work.

Do you think it will work?

Do you think it will work?

I think so.

Think so?

Maybe.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

Maybe not?

Then..

we can't see it I guess.

There's sound!

Finished the movie but it was just so so.

Now we're getting dinner ready.

For dinner

For dinner we have paratha

And

What's this called?

Paneer tiki masala.

This.

Indio..

In.. Indian curry

with paratha.

It's good.

Not bad.

Outside it's minus 2 degrees now.

It's a little late, 1:08am.

And outside it's minus 2 degrees.

Inside Tubi it's 19 degrees.

So we can have a cozy sleep.

So tonight we saw a movie

And relaxed a bit.

And now it's time for bed.

We don't know what tomorrow will bring.

Or what adventure waits for us.

See you tomorrow.

It's late so time to sleep.

Goodnight everyone.

What Would Jeff Do? Dog Training Tip of the Day #29 Stop training an attack dog - Duration: 1:30.

- Hey everybody, how are you?

It's Jeff Gellman of Solid K9 Training with my,

what would Jeff do, dog training tip of the day.

Tip number 29.

Stop holding your dog back

at the front door or anywhere else.

But let me give you a perfect example

of what a lot of folks do is usually when somebody comes

to the front door their dog is barking like crazy,

they'll grab the dogs flat buckle collar

or whatever they've got on and they hold the dog back.

It physically possibly works but what you're doing

is you're actually getting the dog agitated

and they'll want to pull harder against the pressure.

If you've ever seen a protection dogs or sport dogs

that's actually how we get them to bark and lunge

and like, it looks like they're about to kill somebody.

It's because we put leash pressure on them,

whether it's on a flat buckle collar

or a harness, we hold them back,

they get very, very frustrated

and maybe we physically can remove them

but trust me next time somebody comes to that door

they're going to work even harder.

So that's what I want you to do.

Jeff Gellman of Solid K9 Training.

What would Jeff do?

Dog training tip of the day, tip number 29.

Stop physically holding your dog back.

What should you do?

We've got videos on that as far as the place command

and other things but I wanted to just give you a tip

about what not to do.

Madly in love with you.

What Makes MAP Special with Tito Muñoz | Juilliard MAP Minute - Duration: 1:19.

♫ ♫ ♫ [orchestral music]

Number one is the supportive environment in the middle of this Lincoln Center-

Juilliard situation, which can be so intimidating if you've never been in it

before. To even hear the level of musicianship in the hallways and if

you've never been in it, it can be very intimidating. But MAP itself is so

supportive, so nurturing. The parents are great, because they're all coming

from the same situations, many parents who've never done music before. My

mom, when she started bringing me to the... to the lessons, she ended up becoming the

president of the Parents Association because she was very involved and very

interested in the whole thing. So that was one aspect that I think was very, very

special. The other one was the level of faculty, the level of the teachers, which

is for similar programs elsewhere, it's I think it's...it's second to none. The type

of education you get prepares you for college. It prepares you, you know, the

theory program, the ensembles, and then access. Access to Lincoln Center, access

to all of the major cultural institutions of New York City. You don't

realize that you have that until you leave.

What's In my Empties #3 - Duration: 7:47.

Hi there welcome back to my channel if you're new here, and you like empties videos please hit that subscribe button today

We'll be talking about what is in ma empties?

The first item I want to share with you guys as this house of lashes eyelash glue this stuff is

incredible it is amazing at holding on and it keeps my lashes on all day and

The main reason why I go to house of lashes and purchase this stuff is

Because of the most popular brand of eyelash glue I think is

Duo eyelash glue and I went to the Target today to check to make sure that this was still true

And they do use formaldehyde in their products, and I do not want formaldehyde near my eyes

So once they remove the formaldehyde from their

Formula I will purchase duo glue

the next item I want to share with you guys is the proganix smooth a flat iron finish and

Hydration spray this stuff is awesome. I use it whenever I straighten my hair

I just spray it on my hair on the brush, and I use it that way this stuff isn't amazing

But it's really good

I already have a backup, and I'm working through that right now this stuff will work

It's a really good flat iron heat protectant spray

But it's not my favorite my favorite is the S factor one, but that stuff's like 30 bucks

I think so for the price, which this retails for $12 for the price. It's really good

I got this one on sale, so I bought like a couple

I think they're on clearance so I already have that backup that I'm working through

But and in that price range even that's not my favorite my favorite in that price range is Got2B' s

Angel Flatiron heat protectant spray this was really good for the $6 that I paid for it

And I am going to use the backup that I have so

You'll probably see this in my empties again sometime soon because I straighten my hair sometimes. I went through the sample of the

Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega repair and moisture shampoo

That's it

So it was good. I'm still on the hunt for a Holy Grail

shampoo I found almost every shampoo I've ever tried to be

Adequate in removing dirt and oils from my hair

Which is the purpose of shampoo, so I'm still looking for something where I'm like wow that was the best shampoo

And I have just never found one that I'm in love with I found many conditioners that I'm like oh yes

This is the best conditioner, but most shampoos are just like a that was good next this shampoo falls into that category

Next please the next item I want to share with you guys is this Ouai haircare rose

Hair and body oil. I use this as a hair oil. I put hair oil on my hair every single time

I shower just right after I just go through the ends and just sort of put some oil on them. Just to keep them moist

Sorry about that word, and I really like this stuff

It smells really good given my wonderful extensive experiences with other hair oils. I will not be purchasing this

It is

$32 for 3 fluid ounces and

To me it's just not worth it given all the wonderful experiences that I've had with other

Hair oils and the fact that I do have quite a few other ones that I still need to work through so

No to that the next product. I want to share with you guys is this Mac

Shadow in bisque and

I am

Done with this one

It's a wonderful base color. That's what I used it for all the time

And I would definitely buy this again if I didn't have an essentially a copy of this in every single palette I own

But it really is great, and if I ever need a color like this

I will think of this one first the next item in my empties is this bliss triple oxygen plus C

Energizing cream this cream was good while it lasted

I will not go out and buy this I have other creams other day creams that I prefer although

I am on the hunt for something with vitamin C in it I'm probably gonna go for something by Paula's choice

So the next item I want to share with you guys is this

Sephora pearl face mask

This one was really good, but it wasn't my favorite

I really like these face masks all the Sephora masks every single one. I've tried

has been really good this particular one is not my favorite

I have other sheet masks that I prefer over this one that are actually less expensive

You'll probably see it empty in the future about my Garnier

Face masks and those ones are my favorites for the price

They're really cheap, and they make my skin feel nice so

This one was really good would I repurchase yep, probably so next two products. I'm gonna share with you

Just really quickly are both clutters as you guys know

I am

Getting rid of anything in my collection that has an abundance of alcohol in it

So if it's like the first or second ingredient is no longer gonna be in my collection both of these items

Have alcohol as the second ingredient

Okay, so the first item I am declaring is the body shops vitamin C

Glow boosting moisturizer the second ingredient in this one is denatured alcohol and the other

Item I am the cluttering is this Nirvana spa

Exotically creamy coconut rich body butter and that one also has alcohol as the second ingredient

It's cetearyl alcohol, and I'm just not interested

I'm not into it, so we're just gonna get rid of those and pretend like they never happened so the last item in this

empties video is this mdsolarsciences

mineral moisture defense lotion

This is a sunscreen, and I just do not like it based on the fact that it's way too greasy

I wear sunscreen every single day keep in mind

It is literally the one thing where if I'm in my car getting ready to go to work

I will actually come back in the house if I realize that I forgot to put sunscreen on so I've tried so many

Sunscreens. I really really love super goop and coola sunscreen if you want to try good sunscreens. Those are my ones

Most of their formulas are non-greasy there's only one from super goop that I'm thinking of that's their solar serum

that's a greasy formula and

Then coola one, I don't think I've ever tried a greasy one from coola

But I really like those ones so if you guys want to try some good sunscreens

I would definitely recommend those ones so what is y'all's favorite sunscreen?

Let me know in the comments if you like this video if you like empties videos

Please don't forget to subscribe on your way out leave a like on this video and leave me some hearts in the comments

Please if you made it this far. Thank you so much for watching. I will see you on the next one

Bye the first item I want to share with you guys is this house of lashes eyelash glue

It's still trying to focus on my face

Empties video the third really do love filming empties videos you guys because the thing about empties videos is that?

You know the person's actually gotten like a chance to get to know that product intimately and thoroughly isn't that amazing though?

Isn't it wonderful to Mac to expect their own packaging and recycles it I think that's amazing

what is artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning? - Duration: 10:13.

Recently I have been hearing a lot about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and I became

interested in looking into AI and Machine Learning a bit more.

I sought to get my questions answered.

What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

What is Machine Learning?

And How Exactly do they differ?

This is gonna be an interesting video.

Artificial Intelligence or AI can be simply defined as "a branch of computer science

dealing with the simulation of intelligent behavior in computers" or "the capability

of a machine to imitate intelligent human behavior" Both definitions from the Merriam

Webster Online Dictionary.

Both these definitions deal with the concept of computers being able to go about doing

complex tasks by themselves, and in this case, we aren't speaking of simple processes,

we're speaking of the ability of a machine to act completely on its own without the need

of human intervention.

Well, after being created of course.

We can see examples of this is many places, but the most common is in movies like WALL-E.

You can consider WALL-E an AI Robot.

He thinks for himself, does what he needs to do for himself, and has something that

resembles a conscience.

We can actually see this in a majority of Disney and Pixar movies where inanimate objects

come to life and make decisions of their own.

Its pretty interesting.

Upon doing my research, I came across a very interesting article which proceeds to give

a bit more information on the history of AI.

Here's a short extract from Bernard Marr, A Writer at Forbes.

"Artificial Intelligence has been around for a long time – the Greek myths contain

stories of mechanical men designed to mimic our own behavior.

Very early European computers were conceived as "logical machines" and by reproducing

capabilities such as basic arithmetic and memory, engineers saw their job, fundamentally,

as attempting to create mechanical brains.

As technology, and, importantly, our understanding of how our minds work, has progressed, our

concept of what constitutes AI has changed.

Rather than increasingly complex calculations, work in the field of AI concentrated on mimicking

human decision making processes and carrying out tasks in ever more human ways."

Now personally, I don't like the idea of US humans attempting to create machines which

can think for themselves, mainly because I don't see it going anywhere positively.

I'm not gonna go in depth, but its not a good idea, things can go wrong in so many

ways.

And someone else who has a big impact in the field of technology and automation feels the

same way.

Elon Musk.

The Giant who has led Tesla to where it is today, in not only Vehicle Automation but

also in the creation of many clean energy stations around the world.

But something interesting that he said got my attention.

This was back in 2017 and not only did it get my attention, but it got the attention

of many Tech Enthusiasts out there.

Elon Musk Referred to the dangers associated with the development of AI as possibly a bigger

threat than North Korea.

And we're talking about a Nation Which has at their hands, the power to launch a barrage

of Nuclear Missiles at America and Possibly Start another world war.

In this article from CNBC, "Tesla CEO Elon Musk fired off a new and ominous warning on

Friday about artificial intelligence, suggesting the emerging technology poses an even greater

risk to the world than a nuclear conflagration with North Korea.

Musk—a fierce and long time critic of A.I. who once likened it to "summoning the demon"

in a horror movie—said in a Twitter post that people should be concerned about the

rise of the machines than they are.

Reacting to the news that autonomous tech had bested competitive players in an electronic

sports competition, Musk posted what appeared to be a photo of a poster bearing the chilling

words "In the end, the machines will win.

Musk, who is spearheading commercial space travel with his venture SpaceX, is also the

founder of OpenAI, a nonprofit that promotes the "safe" development of AI.

His stance puts him at odds with much of the tech industry, but echoes remarks of prominent

voices like Stephen Hawking—who has also issued dire warnings about machine learning."

End Of Quote.

Now this is indeed interesting because it shows that not everyone is on the side of

developing AI, because in the end, we never know what's gonna happen.

And from how its being described to us, its not really looking that safe.

Obscure tests seem to be OK but when Scientists attempt to get this out and connect AI beings

to the internet and actually get them out there, I think it's a good time to watch

your back.

Now let's speak a bit about Machine Learning.

According To Wired, Machine Learning is defined as "the science of getting computers to

act without being explicitly programmed" They got this definition from The University

Of Stanford and while I get the idea of the concept, there's sort of a crossover with

the definitions and understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Again, Quoted from Wired "Big technology players such as Google and Nvidia are currently

working on developing this machine learning; desperately pushing computers to learn the

way a human would in order to progress what many are calling the next revolution in technology

– machines that 'think' like humans.

Over the past decade, machine learning has given us self-driving cars, practical speech

recognition, effective web search, and a vastly improved understanding of the human genome."

End of Quote Now I should state that machine learning is

sort of a sub Category Underneath AI.

Back to the Forbes Article "Machine Learning is a current application of AI based around

the idea that we should really just be able to give machines access to data and let them

learn for themselves."

A typical example is Google's autofill.

When you make a typo, for instance, while searching in Google, it gives you the message:

"Did you mean..."?

This is the result of one of Google's machine learning algorithms; a system that detects

what searches you make a couple seconds after making a certain search.

So if you search for one thing, misspell it, realize you made the error, and correct that.

Google learns from that mistake.

Google's algorithm recognises that you searched for something a couple of seconds after searching

something else, and it keeps this in mind for future users who make a similar typing

mistake.

As a result, Google 'learns' to correct it for you.

That's machine learning in its simplest form.

We've just spoken about AI and Machine learning.

But another interesting thing which I came across in my research is the term Deep Learning.

Something Very interesting.

According to Callum Mclelland of Medium.com, "Deep learning is one of many approaches

to machine learning.

Deep learning was inspired by the structure and function of the brain, namely the interconnecting

of many neurons.

Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) are algorithms that mimic the biological structure of the

brain.

In ANNs, there are "neurons" which have discrete layers and connections to other "neurons".

Each layer picks out a specific feature to learn, such as curves/edges in image recognition.

It's this layering that gives deep learning its name, depth is created by using multiple

layers as opposed to a single layer."

End Of Quote.

So as the name implies, Deep Learning, can be understood to be something that allows

a system to analyse and go in depth with the data that its receiving.

Adding more and more layers when more information is gained.

I think Nvidia Puts these terms correctly and gives a better Understanding of what Machine

Learning and Deep Learning mean.

Machine Learning at its most basic is the practice of using algorithms to parse data,

learn from it, and then make a determination or prediction about something in the world.

So rather than hand-coding software routines with a specific set of instructions to accomplish

a particular task, the machine is "trained" using large amounts of data and algorithms

that give it the ability to learn how to perform the task.

For Deep Learning, Neural Networks are inspired by our understanding of the biology of our

brains – all those interconnections between the neurons.

But, unlike a biological brain where any neuron can connect to any other neuron within a certain

physical distance, these artificial neural networks have discrete layers, connections,

and directions of data propagation.

You might, for example, take an image, chop it up into a bunch of tiles that are inputted

into the first layer of the neural network.

In the first layer individual neurons, then passes the data to a second layer.

The second layer of neurons does its task, and so on, until the final layer and the final

output is produced.

Each neuron assigns a weighting to its input — how correct or incorrect it is relative

to the task being performed.

The final output is then determined by the total of those weightings.

We can see AI encompasses many things and there are so many other things that I could

talk about, but I've mostly achieved my purpose with this video.
