Hi, everyone —

[An animal squeaks]

What is it, Squeaks?

[Squeaks squeaks]

You didn't say anything?

Huh, I wonder what that is!

Let's look at the Yard Cam!

Oh, look!

There's a squirrel digging in the yard.

You know, she reminds me a lot of our friend Ruffles the Squirrel … and she sounds a

little like you, Squeaks!

[Squeaks squeaks]

Awww, I miss Ruffles too, buddy.

[to audience]

Ruffles is Squeaks' pen pal.

She's an eastern gray squirrel who lives far away, in Chicago, so they keep in touch

by writing letters to each other.

But we haven't heard from her in a while because it's been winter, and when it's

very cold, squirrels spend a lot of their time sleeping.

The squirrel in our yard probably spent most of the last few months sleeping, too!

That's because it's harder for squirrels to find food during the winter.

They eat lots of different things — some of their meals come from plants, like nuts

and fruits, and they'll also eat small animals like insects.

But there aren't many nuts or fruits around in the winter.

And insects spend most of it in a type of deep sleep, so there aren't a lot of them

around, either.

Since there's so little food for them to eat in the winter, squirrels save as much

energy as they can by sleeping most of the time.

They might only wake up once every few days!

They also spend a lot of time preparing for the winter by storing away some food beforehand.

And guess where they hide it?

[Squeaks squeaks]

That's right — in the ground!

It's like they create their own personal kitchen cabinets underground.

That's probably why the squirrel in our yard was digging.

She was looking for the extra food she buried before the winter started — maybe some delicious

acorns.

It's not so easy for squirrels to remember where they put all their food, so they have

a few tricks to help them know where to look.

One trick is to dig it up every few days.

That way they can remind themselves where it is, and at the same time, they can check

on it to make sure it's not spoiled.

Their nose helps too!

They can smell where there might be food buried underground, which helps them remember where

they put it.

Sometimes they'll also sniff out food buried by other squirrels … they might even take

some!

By slowly eating the food they've stored away, they're able to make it through the

long, cold winter.

They do sometimes forget where they've put some of their food.

If a squirrel buries an acorn and doesn't dig it up again, it might start to grow into

the type of tree that makes acorns: an oak tree.

Eventually, oak trees can grow huge — a full-grown oak tree is about 25 meters, or

82 feet.

That's as tall as a building with eight floors!

All from a tiny little acorn one squirrel buried and forgot about.

But now that it's almost spring, squirrels will soon be able to find lots of food again!

Nuts and fruits will start growing on trees, and there will be more insects and other small

animals around, too.

Then they won't have to spend so much of their time sleeping to save energy anymore.

So if Ruffles isn't awake yet, I bet she will be soon!

How about we write her a letter to say good morning?

[Squeaks is excited]

Okay!

I'll get the pencils and paper.

[Squeaks interjects]

Oh, good idea — I'll get the crayons, too!

We can draw her lots of pictures of what we've been up to this winter.

Thanks for joining us!

Why you need to be the face of your personal brand - Duration: 8:05.

Hey guys, it's Kaylie here! Today I wanted to talk about the importance of personal

branding and why you need to be the face of your brand. So after this video (sorry

it is so windy) after this video, you're going to know the reasons why you need

to be the face of your personal brand and how you can easily start to do it

in a way that feels really comfortable for you and because I know, it's what a

lot of coaches struggle with. So first of all, I do want to apologise just because

it is so windy where I am, but today I'm working from one of my favourite rooftop

bars in London. You can see the view, it's so beautiful and it's also super windy

as well so my hair is looking even crazier than it usually does. Anyway, so

personal branding why, why, why is it so important that you need to be the face

of your brand? Well, for one these days branding, businesses, it's the same thing

like a business... I don't like when people say: "Okay Kaylie, so should I call

myself a business or am I a brand, am I a business or a brand?" But it's like, you're

kind of like the same thing. Your brand is you and as a coach it's so

important that you have a personal brand. It's so important that you show your

face because people want to see who you are. You are working with clients very,

very closely and they're trusting you to get results, right? So if you're

not the face of your brand, then how is anyone supposed to

build that connection with you? How is anyone really, truly supposed to

understand you, feel like they know who you are and resonate with your message.

It's all about the personal branding, trust me. I have seen so many coaches

come to me and they don't have any pictures of themselves on their

Instagram, on their social media, on their website. They're not really relating

their story in the way that they should do for great personal branding. And then

they wonder why they're not getting clients, they wonder why no one is

resonating with them, they wonder why no one is kind of lined up at the door ready

to work with them. So personal branding is super important (don't know why I

just licked that, sorry guys!) it's super, super important. And, you know, from all of

my experience with branding, I know for a fact that the more content you have of

yourself, the stronger connection your ideal

clients form with you. So if you look at my branding, you'll see

that my face is everywhere: videos of me, pictures of me and that's not

because I like how I look, it's because I know that I need to do this for my brand.

I know that for me to consistently attract my ideal clients and to put my

message out there and share my story and convey myself in the way that I want to

be conveyed, I need to have content of myself. You'll

also notice that, well I've noticed, but you can even go through my Instagram

to look for yourself, but the pictures of me always have higher engagement than

the ones that are not a picture of me. So if I might do more of a lifestyle

picture, I might do a picture of my laptop

or a book or something, but the pictures that we always have higher engagement,

it's because people like to connect with you. They like to see your face and I

know a lot of you guys struggle with this because you don't like putting yourself out there.

When we first have conversations with new clients when they first come on, it's one

of the biggest things that we have to help them get through. The fact that

they're gonna have to post a picture of themselves and they're gonna have to

post a lot of them. Now, it doesn't mean that you have to post five a day, it just

means that in proportion to the rest of the content

you're putting out there, the ratio needs to be pretty high. Trust me, this will help grow your brand so, so quickly.

I cannot even tell you how much this will excel once you start

just making that much more of a personal brand. More images of you, more of your story, more of your

thoughts. So a personal brand isn't just about imagery, it's about what you

think, your opinions, your story, your journey, your morals. All of that stuff is personal branding as

well so it's not just about the aesthetics. So, people often forget that and they think: "Okay well I

need to create a personal branding so that just means posting a thousand pictures of myself, not really.

It's a lot more than that, it's a lot deeper than that. And that's one of the first things that

would really help our clients identify and understand how to be really cohesive and consistent

with their personal branding. I know that a lot of people worry about how other

people will see them. So when it comes to building a personal brand with content

of themselves, they literally are like, oh my god like, the thought of doing a video

or the thought of putting a picture of themselves out there frequently makes

them literally want to vomit. I've had some clients who just feel sick at

the thought of having to put that much content out there about themselves. But

it's all about balance and you don't have to

share every single intimate detail of your life. You guys know me,

you know my journey, you know my personality, you know the things that I

believe in, you know that I love fashion, you know that I love traveling, you know

that I love all of these things. But you don't know that I had a doctor's

appointment yesterday, you don't know that I put my car into the garage the

other day. There's a level and there's a line and you don't have to share every single intimate detail. So when

people think about personal branding, the first mistake is they think, I'm gonna have to share every single detail

of my life, but you don't. You literally don't, you just have to share enough,

you have to be true you, have to be authentic, you have to be yourself. That is what makes a great

personal brand and guys, honestly I'm so hard on my clients sometimes when I see them putting their content together and there's no pictures of themselves

I say 'Why is there not a picture of you? We've gone through this: there needs to be more pictures of you' and they're like

"Yeah, but Kaylie I don't have the right clothes, my makeup wasn't great, my hair wasn't great that day,

I'm not really feeling myself, I feel fat, I'm pregnant." All of these excuses come up which stop people from really

growing their personal brands. And guys, you have to understand your business needs it. I have been doing this for years now.

The branding side of things, growing personal brands like, I see how quickly brands excel

when they are a really strong personal brand to those who don't put the effort in to build a personal

brand. So I just wanted to share some of those things with you and, even look at

today like this is all part of my brand, how I'm just here talking to you guys, it's windy

and I'm holding the microphone basically in my mouth so you guys can hear me, my hair is all over the place

and the sun is in my eye, but that's it. That's just life sometimes.

So guys, don't worry about being perfect. That's another reason why people are so

scared about a personal brand because they feel like everything has to be

perfect, it really doesn't. It's about your messages, about you. People want to work with you.

They're not expecting to work with this perfect polished person.

So, develop your personal brand. When you start to do it the more content you put out there

about yourself, I'm not gonna say the more comfortable you're gonna feel about it, but the more you're gonna

realise how much this helps your business. And once you realise that it's going to be no stopping you. You'll be like yeah take my picture! Next picture! Yes! Take a picture of me!'.

But yea, so I wanted to share those thoughts. You can see everyone in the background.

like I said, I am on a rooftop right now. And even now I see people just staring at me

like what is she doing it she's so vain. No, I'm not I'm actually trying to give

some advice and value to my audience! So just don't worry about what people think

because that's another reason why people really struggle to grow their

personal brand, because they worry about what other people think. So, I hope you have found that valuable

and I hope that you can hear me, honestly I'm gonna listen to this. It's like 7 minutes long and if I can't

hear anything, I'm gonna have to record the whole thing again. So I hope you can hear me

and I shall speak to you guys soon, bye!

Why do Dentists take X-Rays? - Duration: 1:31.

Why do dentists take x-rays?

Well, as a dentist, I need to take x-rays to see

things that simply are not visible to the naked eye.

Practicing now for about eight years, I just can't count the number of times

that I have found things on x-rays, like infections or tooth decay,

that just aren't visible by looking at your teeth.

And these infections and tooth decay, they can get very bad, very quickly.

Now, x-rays do use radiation to produce an image and that can concern some people.

However, dental x-rays use a very low

dose of radiation to produce their image and they are really quite safe.

They're even safe to use during pregnancy,

which is contrary to what a lot of people actually think.

At Method Dental, we use digital x-rays which lower the dose of

radiation even further when compared to traditional film based x-rays.

Even our largest type of x-ray, which is an OPG or a full mouth x-ray, uses a dose of

radiation which is typical of a flight from about Brisbane to Singapore.

So x-rays are very important for your dentist to completely assess the health

of your teeth, your gums, your mouth, your jaw.

But it's important to note that you don't need x-rays in every check-up.

So please speak to your dentist, find out the appropriate interval for x-rays for you

and also whether they're using a low-dose digital x-ray system.

Why do you use Cropster? By Tony Querio from Spyhouse Coffee Roasters - Duration: 0:37.

My name is Tony Querio, I work at Spyhouse Coffee Roasting Co. in Minneapolis, Minnesota

up until a couple months ago I had made my own Excel spreadsheet data entry.

I was entering temperatures every 15 seconds making rate of rise curves and all that

and thought that was enough and then finally decided to try Cropster and the

accuracy of it is so intuitive and so much more accurate and I feel like I can now

read what the roast to telling me to do and respond to what the coffee is naturally

wanting to do and my cup qualities skyrocketed because of it

I love Cropster and am really proud to be using it.

Why do we need to own past sins of the Church? - Duration: 2:04.

"Do you not also teach yourself, you who preach

"against stealing do you steal, you who say that people

"should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery?

"You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?"

and maybe someone

at this point is willing to say no, I don't.

Hey, Apostle Paul, I've never robbed a pagan temple

in my life, that's not me.

I haven't committed adultery, I haven't, I can go

through the list.

Now I realize some people have an issue with this,

that's not me.

But Paul says no, it is us and as us, we have to

address the issue and it's not appropriate to respond

by saying well, that's not my personal issue.

It is our issue together and so look at this

punchline here, he says in verse 24, as it is written,

"God's name is blasphemed" among the gentiles or the goyim,

that is the nations.

"God's name is blasphemed among all the nations

"because of you."

We just have to let that line sit with us for a minute.

Let's not move on too quickly.

The name of God, the reputation of God,

the honor of God is blasphemed among the nations

and we can't just point at them and say

you see, I told you.

They're so bad.

He says yeah, well it's because of you.

It's because of how you have lived.

When some of you live this way and the word is out there,

then you collectively have to own this and see

what the church, in this case, the people of Israel

in the first century.

People of God in the 21st century, what is people's

relationship with Jesus, with Christianity, with God

in light of how we've lived.

Why do you use Cropster? By Tim Wendelboe from Tim Wendelboe Cafe - Duration: 0:52.

I'm Tim Wendleboe the reason I use Cropster is

to do my quality control it's very difficult to follow roast profiles

if you don't have a proper logging system for it. With Cropster it's very easy to

analyze the quality afterwards as well.

It also controls my inventory so I know how much coffee a roaster has done at any given

point I know what's called design stock and so on which is really helpful when

you have so many different microlots to take care of during a year.

yeah i just really like the ease of use of Cropster.

It's made my my everyday life a lot of easier. I can sit in Colombia and

look at profiles while the my roasters are roasting back home in Norway.

I feel like I have much more control over my roastery

by using this software
