You can do anything!

Be a responsible adult.

Chase your dreams!

Go to school.

Reach for the stars!

Have you bought your house yet?

Don't listen to anyone else!

Are you getting married?

Just do it!

Pay your bills.

Do it!

Do you have a car?

Do it!

Do you own anything?

Do it!

When are you having kids?

Are you a functioning human being?

How can you possibly do what YOU want and still be a functioning, "responsible"

adult?

I have a not-so secret secret to share with you.

{MUSIC}

I don't think there is a single person in my life that hasn't said one of those things

that I was just saying, to me.

But on the flip side.

I'm pretty sure I have said most of those things to someone else as well.

There are just thousands upon thousands of YouTube videos and commercials and poster

and memes and tv shows and movies and advertisements and magazines, etc, etc… and they're all

telling us to go chase our dreams.

They're all super motivational.

Especially for us young folk, us millennials.

I don't know.

We really.

We are millennials . That's not quotations.

Okay.

That's very inspiring.

Like yeah, I can do anything!

Gary Vee often talks about if you're job is making you unhappy, you should just quit.

Like literally walk out right now and go do what you want.

The kid that is sitting right now at a desk and saw this in a feed and you hate your - job.

Stand up.

Get the - out of here and do you.

That's Gary Vee's channels.

Casey Neistat is a huge advocate for not following the rules and also doing what you want.

Just look at what he did with his Nike commercial.

Go check him out.

This video isn't about me telling you they are wrong.

I actually completely 100% agree with them.

Here's the not-so secret secret part.

No matter what you choose to do or no matter path you choose to follow or to create.

No matter how amazing your dream job or dream trip is or will b

There will always something or many things that you don't want to do but you still

have to do it.

This is a lesson my dad taught me many years ago but continues to remind me of it - especially

on the days when I might be complaining just a little too much.

There is simply just so much truth to it.

You can absolutely do what you want but no matter what it is that you want, there is

still going to be things that you have to do and you just need to learn to accept that

now cause otherwise by the time you get there or even on your way there - you're going

to not be enjoying it and you're not going to know why.

Perhaps you are an aspiring YouTuber.

Like me.

And you are envisioning this life filled with crazy adventures and just fun times all the

time.

You are probably picturing your future life as a highlight reel.

But in order to get to that point, in order to really enjoy that point, you need to accept

all the moments that happen between those highlights.

There are lull moments.

There are lonely moments.

There is a lot of tedious tasks that you have to do that you definitely will not want to

do.

Just take a deep breath and do it because you know if you do do it, then you can do

what you want.

Cause it all adds up.

The thing is if you have are truly chasing your dream and doing what you want - you are

probably working harder and longer than the Joe with the 9 to 5.

Not that Joe isn't working hard, but you are just working that much harder.

Now yes, someday you may get to the point where you can sit back and relax.

You have the luxury to slow down.

You will reach that point where you are now working smarter instead of harder.

But still, even then, there's going to be things that you're not going to love.

You can't be on a high 100% of the time.

It's not natural and it's definitely not realistic.

Have I rambled on long enough to make my point?

Awesome.

Well, I hope you all have a fantastic day!

If you can, I'd love it if you could hit that subscribe button and of course, hit the

like button.

And let me know in the comments below what you do to focus on the have-tos so you can

get to the want-tos.

What do I want to do?

I want to travel all of that.

And eat.

Now eat.

That's something I can do right now so I'm going to go do that.

Why did the bicycle slow down?

Cause he was two-tired.

Auto-Tuning: What Automatic Plan Correction Does and How to Enable It - Duration: 6:15.

-: Welcome to Automatic Plan Correction with Query Store.

This is a live webcast.

My name is Kendra Little and I am the founder

and creator of SQLWorkbooks.com.

Today, we will be looking at one part of

the new Automatic Tuning features in SQL Server.

We will be looking at a feature

called Automatic Plan Correction, which uses Query Store

in your SQL Server 2017 database or higher to look for

cases where a query has slowed down significantly.

It can notice that, hey, when you run with this plan

you're faster. We had a regression, so I'm going to

automatically tune you and give you the fast plan,

then I'm going to validate and make sure it really is faster.

It's got some intelligence there about trying out

this faster plan, and it is designed as a safety net

so that you can make sure that your queries

don't slow down forever.

It's not going to prevent your queries

from ever getting slow, because it has to

notice that they got slow, but it can then jump in and say

"Hey, maybe I can speed you up."

There's another part of Automatic Tuning

that we won't see today that's called

automatic index management: it's

currently available in Azure SQL Database.

Maybe it will show up somewhere along the roadmap in

the version of SQL Server that we install ourselves, later.

That's for another day, because we can spend

the whole day today talking about Automatic Plan Correction.

Our mission today in exploring this is:

okay how do we turn it on, what does it do,

and, if you're interested in this,

what is a starter plan for using it?

And I'm actually really excited about this

and if you have Enterprise Edition I think you should

at least be looking at the recommendations for this,

if you're on 2017 or higher. Potentially this could

even take part in, if you're making a proposal

to upgrade SQL Server to get the money for that,

potentially this could be one of the

selling points for your upgrade as well.

I think it's a really interesting feature.

Some folks are frightened of this because it sounds like

maybe we won't need DBAs anymore.

I think, really, it's exciting

rather than threatening and I'll show you why.

So first up, how do I turn it on?

It is not complicated to turn it on at all.

The first thing you need to know, though,

is that you do have to have the Query Store feature enabled.

The plan correction relies on Query Store collecting

the plans and aggregate information about performance

about, okay, how much average CPU time is that plan using?

So we have to have Query Store

all set up first and collecting data.

Then, we enable Automatic Tuning.

Now here is the bad news.

Automatic Tuning is Enterprise Edition only.

Query Store itself is not only in Enterprise Edition.

You can use Query Store widely-- and I am going to show you,

okay if I don't have Enterprise Edition

and I don't have Automatic Tuning,

what can I do with Query Store where I can at least

see the types of things it's making suggestions about?

I'll give you kind of a work-around,

the manual version, if you don't have Enterprise Edition.

The other thing about Automatic Tuning

is you enable for the entire database.

You can't turn this on for just a given schema.

You can't say, "I want to tune

everything except that procedure."

It's all the queries that run in a database,

whether the queries are in stored procedures or not.

Now we've got a question here from Allen.

Allen says, "Is this only available in Enterprise Edition?"

Yes, in fact, only Enterprise Edition and I did also

do a check that, okay, can I see the suggestions

if I'm not in Enterprise Edition?

In fact I can't even see suggestions in the DMV

if I'm not in Enterprise Edition.

Here is the command that we use to turn this on.

Right now in SQL Server 2017

we can say set AUTOMATIC_TUNING FORCE_LAST_GOOD_PLAN ON.

That is the Automatic Plan Correction feature.

That doesn't automatically tune my indexes.

This will look for regressions in my query plans

and try to see if the last good one,

the last fast one, really is faster when I keep running it.

If you try to run this command in Standard Edition,

it gives you a nice little message that says:

please insert more dollars if you want to

turn on the Automatic Tuning feature.

Wah wah wah.

Sorry about that, but like I said, I will show you

if you are in Standard Edition, how can I see

the types of queries that this would tune in my Query Store?

We've got a way to do that.

Let's now do the fun part and dig in and start

looking at Automatic Plan Correction.

You've got these scripts available for download.

What I wanted to do was create a set of scripts

where, just using Management Studio,

you could restore a small database,

this uses the BabbyNames Database

that you can download for free,

and then, run a workload against that database

that gets a procedure that is auto-tuned.

So I've configured Query Store,

I've enabled that forced last good plan,

and then I've already run this workload

which runs a query that is

sometimes fast and is sometimes slow.

What's Good In Your Hood | All Flavor No Grease | mitú - Duration: 8:39.

(upbeat music)

- Aw, yes, y'all.

What's good in your hood is what happens

when you combine ridiculously good food

with a personality that transforms an entire community.

And no one's doing it better in Watts

than Keith Garrett with All Flavor No Grease.

♫ I have a busy business, boy

(upbeat music)

♫ What's good in your neighborhood

♫ From the east to the west

♫ Showing nothing but the very best

♫ All Flavor no Grease

♫ Chef Keith making grub in these streets

♫ Following his dream

♫ No should or would or could

♫ Now that right there is what's good in your hood

♫ We out

Here we are, All Flavor No Grease.

We about to have some delicious quesadillas, here in Watts.

I'm pumped, let's get it.

They say change begins at home.

And for Keith Garrett,

that's exactly where his hustle was transformed.

Out of that transformation,

came quesadillas so good,

they feel like they've been hashtag blessed.

And the people can't get enough.

Mm, that's so good, I wanna wrap it up

and give it to myself for Christmas.

Oh, my God.

- All Flavor No Grease actually started from a dream.

I sincerely prayed about the situation

and before even the dream transpired,

I was actually a full time street pharmacist.

(Keith laughs) - Ah, street pharmacist.

- Yeah, better known as the weed man.

- [Host] Okay.

- A friend of mine came through

and he had got my last eighth of weed.

And he was like, "Settle down."

And he was like, "I got $150 in food stamps."

I'm like, "What the heck am I gonna do

"with some food stamps?" (laughs)

But then, the first thing I thought,

was like, alright, make something work.

A month later, I woke up in the middle of the night.

I got up, I said, "All Flavor No Grease?"

And I said, "What?"

So, I'm like, I'm gonna have some

of the most flavorful tacos

with the least grease as possible.

- What food item put you on the map?

- The quesadilla.

- [Host] His clever and charismatic approach

to Instagram has people coming in droves

to taste what all the hype is about.

- Hey, check this out, Mister Air 15, himself.

Yeah, we are open, 12:30,

pull up on the block, come and get your plate.

Only on the ocho though.

Hey, you hear me?

Get your steak, your shrimp, your barbecue chicken too.

(sign clacks)

My pops didn't even believe in the movement at first.

And that really hurted me to my core, it did.

- [Host] 108th Street, AKA, the ocho,

has become an oasis and a changing neighborhood.

And his delicious food has been

the catalyst for peace and unity.

But the road to be king of quesadillas

was never a smooth one.

- He was teased a lot, you know.

We didn't always have the best to put them in.

Their clothes were clean

but they weren't always the best, you know?

So, they would tease him.

But I am just so very proud of where he was

and where he is today.

- My pops didn't even believe in the movement at first.

And that really hurted me to my core, it did.

And the only thing I said,

from right here in this hallway,

I said, "I'm gonna show you, Pops, watch."

And I'm happy I'm able to show him.

Now, he's like, "Son, you did it."

Like, "I'm proud of you."

- You're making foods that are,

by and large, typically latino.

What do people say about that?

How do you feel about that?

- This guy from up north, he said, "You got it."

He said, "No matter what anybody say to you,

"you gotta keep going."

He said, "I respect it."

He said, "I came all the way from Oakland, fool.

"Just to try you."

- You got the stamp of approval

from the Hispanic community from this one dude.

(upbeat music)

Watts, a community haunted by inequality and unrest

is transitioning to a vibrant neighborhood

and Keith is at the center of this ship.

- My line, since day one,

has always been super diverse.

The whole cross section of LA and beyond, really.

You know, you can't say enough about Keith.

That's why the line is long.

The food is great and delicious

but it's nothing without Keith.

- The quesadilla flavors are like bomb.

And it's special, like, that's that God spice.

- Shall we pray, everyone?

We asked that the food be nourishing

to the body and pleasant to the soul.

And Lord, let's grub.

In Jesus name, thank God, amen.

- [All] Amen.

(upbeat music)

- Here we are in the No Flavor All Grease kitchen,

very few people come back here.

So, we are honored to be learning

how to make a quesadilla, Chef Keith style.

- So, we'll start off with our 12 in Diana shell.

Flour, that is.

Then, you start with the Colby Jack cheese.

Nice handful of it, big handful of it like this.

- Wow, the way you put your love

into the food is through your hands.

- Passion!

- We get the pico de gallo in there.

All the flavors already marinating, the heat.

- [Keith] Heaven nuggets.

- Wow.

The colors, the smells.

It's aromatic, it's beautiful.

- [Keith] You gotta get your slap.

(spatula smacks)

- It ain't right unless you slap it down.

- Now, my favorite part, the bust down.

- Oh, that's a big knife.

That's a signature move.

That changed the game.

- The most important part, plating.

♫ Ain't nothing like a drizzle, baby

♫ Ain't nothing like the drizzle

To us.

- To us, to bomb food, to you.

All flavor zero grease.

Coming up, the battle between me and Chef Keith,

right in the backyard.

All Flavor No Grease.

- [Announcer] All Flavor's finest.

(upbeat music)

- Here we are in the backyard

of All Flavor No Grease with Chef Keith.

And DJ Jswish on the ones and twos.

We're gonna have us a nice, little rap battle.

'Cause not only is he a master at Mexican food,

but he's a master MC.

And we're gonna test some bars out here.

(bell dings)

- [Video Game Announcer] Round one, fight.

♫ Yeah

- [Announcer] All Flavor's finest.

- [Woman] DJ Jswish, RJ on the beat.

♫ I'm from Brooklyn but now we in Watts

♫ I'm here at the food spot

♫ Here we are gettin' crazy

♫ Gonna be awhile, don't be lazy

♫ Teach the kids how to do it

♫ Pass it on, that's how we do it

♫ Freestyle off the top, here we go

♫ Not gonna stop even if I'm like oh no

♫ I'm gonna do it 'til I can't do it no more

♫ Here we are counting one bar, two bar, three bar, four

- Okay.

Okay.

♫ He did his stuff

♫ Yeah, he did his stuff

♫ Oh, yeah, yeah, he did his stuff

♫ Now I'm on camera

♫ Time to go right up, what

♫ I'm sitting there, put me on the grill

♫ I had to show you what's real

♫ You need another chicken, 'nother shrimp

♫ And then I grill it up

♫ And then I give it to you, pimp

♫ Huh, I know you really, really like that

♫ Sour cream and grease sauce

♫ Yeah, you like that

♫ He had to sop it up

♫ Right off the fingers though

♫ I think that's eight bars

♫ Yep, so it's time to go

- [Video Game Announcer] KO.

- That's why he who he is.

(laughs)

That's why he's famous on the 'Gram.

Keith is all about the we, instead of just me.

When he could be looking out for just himself,

he's bringing together a crew of south LA food slingers

calling themselves The Foodminati.

And they're killing the game together.

What's The Foodminati about?

- It's being 100, you gotta be 100, period.

If you not 100, then you're not in.

- There was one point and time, man,

I was gonna give up, you feel me?

'Cause it was a lot going on.

And I called my bro.

And bro told me the realist thing,

he was like, "You know what?

"Smokey, you got something, stick with it."

And him saying that,

it really lit a fire under my tail to say,

you know what, even though I'm broke,

I ain't got no bread, you feel me?

I don't know how I'm gonna make tomorrow work

but I'm gonna make tomorrow work.

- I seen a little video on Facebook

about my man, right here.

Like, 'cause I was following him, Grubby.

At the end of the video, like his last bar,

he was like, "Just get up and do it."

- Stop thinking about it.

Get up and go do it.

- The very next day, after I saw that video,

and I went and bought a flattop

and start selling tacos in Palmdale.

- One thing this dude was saying,

he was like, "Man, keep your foot on the gas."

- [Host] Yes, sir.

- He cool though.

(Keith laughs)

- At the end of the day,

Keith is about the bonds he's made,

his community, and sharing delicious food with friends.

Like Henry Ford once said,

"If everyone is moving forward together,

"then success takes care of itself."

And that's what's good in your hood.

- Boy, yeah!

The Foodminati business, boy!

- So, what's the future of All Flavor No Grease?

- I want the world to know about All Flavor No Grease.

- The whole US is gonna be just

like your neighborhood. - Yeah.

- And you just wanna travel all over the world.

- All over the world, one quesadilla at a time.

- All over the world, one quesadilla at a time, baby.

(Keith laughs)

- [Announcer] Pull it up on the ocho.

All Flavor's finest.

Scouting Jorginho: What would Napoli midfielder bring to Liverpool? - Duration: 5:41.

Scouting Jorginho: What would Napoli midfielder bring to Liverpool?

Napoli midfielder Jorginho is Liverpools first-choice target as they look to bolster Jurgen Klopps ranks next season. So what would he offer?.

Jorginho is reported to be Klopps leading candidate as he bids to sign a new No. 6 in the summer transfer window.

With Emre Can likely to depart on the expiry of his contract in July, and Jordan Hendersons fitness a prolonged concern despite repeated claims of his importance, this would be a wise move.

The 26-year-old Italy international, born in Brazil, is expected to be pursued by a host of Europes top clubs, with Liverpool facing a major challenge if they do firm up their interest.

But just why would Jorginho be worth the effort for the Reds?.

Liverpool have been linked with the midfielder in the past during his time at previous Italian club, Hellas Verona, when he was still a bona fide Brazilian.

Since then he's made his debut for his adopted nation, and moved to one of the most exciting teams in Europe assembled by the not entirely un-Klopp-like Maurizio Sarri.

The style of football Napoli play will be of interest to Liverpool's recruitment team, as many of the players there would be able to slot into Klopp's system without much extra instruction.

It was no surprise to see the club also linked with one of Jorginho's team-mates, Piotr Zielinski, who's another player Liverpool were looking at prior to his move to Naples.

They use a similar 4-3-3, press intensely, look to work the ball in tight spaces once they win it back and use a combination of pace and technical ability in forward areas to terrorise opposition defences.

They even have an attacking midfielder/winger who has moved to the centre-forward role in the shape of Dries Mertens, just as Liverpool have Roberto Firmino who has made a similar transition.

Sarri taught me football, Mertens told Corriere dello Sport in November.

The thing I love the most about his style of football is the way he organises the phases when we are off the ball and structures the pressure we put on opponents when theyve got the ball at their feet.

Jorginho fits perfectly at the base of the midfield in this system, using his passing ability, game intelligence, physical attributes and technique to help work the ball forward but also win it back. Perfect Fit For Klopp.

Napoli play in compact spaces with a high line, which helps the defensive midfielder make interceptions in the centre of the park—even if they are, like Jorginho, not an out-and-out defensive player.

What Napoli have but Liverpool don't is a similar but more defensive player in reserve, namely Amadou Diawara, who can be called upon when required.

Maybe this playmaker/protector role is what Liverpool hope someone in Jorginhos mould will help them with, as he's positionally more disciplined and tactically more savvy than any of Klopp's current holding-midfield options. But they might still need that Diawara type too.

As touched upon there, the 26-year-old is good at working the ball forward to other players who can make things happen.

Forward passing is key to Napoli's system, as it should be to any system, and Jorginho is the man to provide the assist before the assist.

In their recent 4-1 win against Lazio he was instrumental in the fourth goal, playing the ball neatly with Lorenzo Insigne to take multiple players out of the game, before charging forward and dinking it to Zielinski after drawing the centre-back out:.

The Pole breezed through before waiting and feeding Mertens, who scored by getting a small but vital touch on the pass. Jorginho wears the No. 8 shirt on his back which reflects the role he often played earlier in his career.

But he has been converted full-time to the deepest-lying midfielder under Sarri.

This means he's not an out-and-out defensive midfielder and his natural central-midfield tendencies can occasionally catch him out, but it also means he has the valuable ability of being able to create from deep areas.

He could easily play the role currently occupied by the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum, and is a potential partner for Naby Keita as well as offering an option further back.

A stat which stands out is his xGBuildup per 90 minutes, which is 0. 57—the highest in Serie A for players whove played more than 500 minutes (Diawaras is 0. 76 from 432 minutes!).

This metric illustrates how influential the player is when it comes to starting attacks which eventually lead to goals. He boasts a pass accuracy of 89 percent in the league this season, and averages 104. 3 passes per 90 minutes.

Jorginho is without doubt his teams controller and on-the-ball attack instigator.

A players mentality is always the most difficult thing to judge, but recent comments reveal a grounded individual who is in tune with the people of Naples, and would also fit in at Liverpool, an area which has many similarities to the Italian city:.

I was born in Imbituba, a small but fantastic town on the sea in Brazil.

In winter, there was no hot water to have a shower and it wasn't easy to eat the same thing for three days in a row, but I wanted to go beyond that.

I arrived in Italy when I was 15 years old, alone and without my family. It was very difficult for me, but I wanted this life in football too much.

It was tough for my family too, but it was also their dream. The first time my mother came to Italy, all she did was cry! When she stepped into the stadium, she couldn't contain herself.

She saw her baby had achieved this dream.

I am also happy that I am able to help out my family now, as I always think of the difficulties I had and try to go to local places so I don't forget the real values of life, which are not money..

The players agent Joao Santos recently told Radio Crc that his client feels Neapolitan. This is something which happens to many players who experience life in this unique part of Italy.

And it is for this reason that Jorginho will take some prising from his current club, but Klopps project would be the perfect move for him, and his attitude in Naples is what will have attracted Liverpool to him in the first place.

If a player like [Lucas] Torreira arrives from Sampdoria, then that will require an important investment and Jorginho could be sacrificed to make way, added Santos, pouring more fuel on the already burning transfer rumours.

If Napoli do sign Torreira, then the fact they also have one of the most promising young prospects in the position in the shape of Diawara could persuade them to sell Jorginho.

And it appears that Liverpool will, and should, be at the front of the long queue for his signature.

What makes same-sex relationships succeed or fail? | Drs. John and Julie Gottman - Duration: 2:48.

MODERATOR: You two are the experts on marriage

and this has been a big year for gay marriage

and in all the research that I study on relationships and marriage

so much of it is focused on heterosexual couples.

I know you've done some work with the lesbian community.

Can you talk about any differences that you see

you know, gender roles or any other changes in a gay relationship?

DR. JOHN GOTTMAN: My colleague, Bob Levenson, and I studied committed gay and lesbian couples for a dozen years.

And we found the same principles apply

to gay and lesbian committed relationships

as to heterosexual married couples.

There were some differences, qualitatively.

One really interesting difference was that

most heterosexual couples in subcultures in the United States

except for Latino and Hispanic subcultures

are very embarrassed talking about sex

— even when there's no camera there —

with one another

and are very indirect in what they ask for.

Don't have a way of initiating sex

a formal way of talking about it

and so gay and lesbian couples were very different from heterosexual couples in that way.

Very open and very direct in talking about what they needed sexually

But the overriding difference was that

gay and lesbian couples were a lot nicer to each other

than heterosexual couples.

They were gentler, the way they presented their conflicts,

and they were less defensive

and there was more of a sense of humor.

And we know that there's a lot more sensitivity in gay and lesbian couples

to power differentials in the relationship

and a desire

maybe because there's less choice

only 10% of the population is gay or lesbian.

Because there's less choice, I think.

They're more willing to have an equal relationship.

Even if there are differences in income or education

to really make sure that there's not that power differential.

MODERATOR: Do you predict that anything will change

as it goes from committed long-term relationships to official marriage?

DR. JOHN GOTTMAN: Yes, I really do.

I think the difference is that

gay and lesbian couples will feel

more a part of society

rather than defensive about who they are

they'll be accepted

they'll be, you know, really treated as equals.

100 Questions of Blockchain

What is Bitcoin?

The concept of Bitcoin (BTC) is proposed by Satoshi Nakamoto ( assumed name).

It is a kind of point to point

decentralized digital assets

In 2009

Nakamoto packed the first block

and won 50 bitcoin mining bonuses

The mining incentives cut in half every 4 years

According to this calculation

bitcoin is expected to finish issuing in 2140

the total amount of 21 million coins

With the development of bitcoin

bitcoin has been gradually recognized

Germany is the first country in the world to accept bitcoin payments

The well-known companies such as Microsoft and Dell have also accepted bitcoin payments

For instance

you can buy Alienware computers produced in the U.S. with bitcoin

Not only that

investors can also invest in Bitcoin trading platform like Huobi

to earn profit

Mueller asks what Trump knew about email hack - Duration: 0:50.

Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is reportedly looking into what Donald Trump

knew about the hacked Democratic emails — and when he knew it.

NBC News reported multiple people familiar with the probe said Mueller's questioning

included asking if Trump knew emails from the Democratic National Committee had been

stolen before Wikileaks released them.

Mueller also reportedly asked why Trump took a more favorable position toward Russia.

Newsy previously reported Mueller's office has also asked when Trump decided to run for

the presidency and about Trump's business dealings with Russia, including two failed

attempts to put a Trump Tower in Moscow.

President Trump has said Mueller would be in violation of his authority if he looked

into Trump's personal finances.

The president has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, including collusion with Russia.

What Are UFOs and Where Do They Come From - Duration: 11:36.

What Are UFOs and Where Do They Come From

UFO Theories

Extraterrestrial Hypothesis The extraterrestrial hypothesis (ETH) is the

belief that UFOs are vehicles from other planets that contain intelligent life for the purpose

of visiting earth.

This being the most popular view among the public has been losing ground among those

that have given Ufology serious study and thought over a long period of time.

This is the perception that Hollywood has romanticized and advanced to the public but

is probably the least likely.

The chances of intelligent life climbing into to some type of space vehicle and visiting

earth are pretty slim.

Back in the 1930's this was the main theory put forward, since then physics and science

have advanced to the point of making this theory almost irrelevant.

It now seems that this is far too a simple explanation and in fact does not explain all

the strange things reported by witnesses.

The universe is not really as complex as one might think but it is full of things and knowledge

that man has yet to comprehend or experience so the simple Hollywood explanation is probably

far from realistic.

Conspiracy Theory A UFO conspiracy theory is any one of many

often overlapping conspiracy theories which argue that evidence of the reality of UFOs

is being suppressed by various governments around the world.

The prevailing thought is that earth governments, especially the United States and to a lesser

extent Russia are in communication & cooperation with ETs and even allowing for a certain number

and type of alien abductions.

Portals

As of 2012 portals have moved from theoretical to reality.

A NASA-sponsored researcher at the University of Iowa has developed a way for spacecraft

to hunt down hidden magnetic portals in the vicinity of Earth.

These portals link the magnetic field of our planet to that of the sun.The existence of

portals would go a long way in explaining the erratic and very short duration of many

UFO sightings.

Could it be possible that UFOs are only seen as they "uncloak" just prior to entering or

exiting a portal.

Since we know that portals exist between planet earth and the sun than it only stands to reason

that portals would exist between galaxies.

This would explain why we have not found anybody living in our immediate neighborhood.

Maybe there is an abundance of life in the universe but not in our Milky Way.

It could be they are traversing the galaxies using these portals or hyperlinks.

Wormhole Theory There is no observational evidence for wormholes,

but on a theoretical level there are valid solutions to the equations of the theory of

general relativity which contain wormholes . Because of its robust theoretical strength,

a wormhole is also known as one of the great physics metaphors for teaching general relativity. This

sounds very Hollywood but the idea of bending distance and time has been around for years.

In theory this works and as a practical matter it could explain the vast distances intelligent

life would have to travel to visit earth.

This moves the ETH "From Another Planet Theory" to a entirely new level.

Ancient Alien Theory This theory is gaining in popularity and it

proposes that extraterrestrial beings have been visiting earth since the advent of man.

It puts forward that early man was in direct contact with these entities even benefiting

from alien technology to build various pyramids and structures around the world.

There is some strong evidence that man was much more advanced than originally thought

or did have technological support from unknown resources.

Proponents suggest that this contact influenced the development of human beings and that man's

DNA may have an alien variant.

Due to mans lack of sophistication, knowledge and technology these aliens were misidentified

as religious deities or Gods and their technology were evidence of their divine status.

Early writings and scriptures, such as, Vedas Scriptures, various San-script writings (from

India, China, Pakistan) and even the Bible seem to confirm this hypothesis.

Biological Theory (Atmospheric Life Forms) When you stop and give this aspect of the

UFO equation some thought this really has to be true.

We know that life is tenacious, persistent and procreates just about anywhere at anytime

under almost any conditions.

Why should this aspect of life be any different in space or in the greater universe.

There are some laws that are truly universal, one of them is that life will find a way to flourish

even in the most adverse and unexpected circumstances.

To read about biological UFOs.

Quantum Physics Quantum Physics has been around since the

1920 but we are only just beginning to understand what it really is and what it means to mankind.

When the possibility of more than one universe was mention it was pretty radical stuff.

Even today quantum physics is just on the fringe of mainstream discussion.

It is always hard for us to believe in things that we cannot see or fully understand.

While at a glance this may seem like just another strange theory, it contains many clues

as to the fundamental nature of the universe and is more important then even relativity

in the grand scheme of things . Furthermore, it describes the nature of the universe as

being much different then the world we see.

Ronald Reagan (attempting to prove the existence of God) once said that he wanted to invite

20 atheist to the White House for a grand meal.

After the meal was devoured he was going to ask his guest if they believed that there

was a cook in the kitchen even though they never saw him/her.

Sometimes you just have to believe in things that you cannot see, feel or touch.

As Niels Bohr said, "Anyone who is not shocked by quantum theory has not understood it."

For an article on the top 10 ways quantum physics will change our lives.

Alternative Dimensions, Realms or Universes Theories with more than one dimension of time

have occasionally been advanced in physics, whether as a serious description of reality

or just as a curious possibility.

This theory is gaining momentum as more and more scientist believe in quantum physics.

If you believe like many respected scientist have come to believe that there are multiverses

(more than one universe) than it is not that much of a stretch to believe that beings could

be traveling between universes (dimensions).

This does necessarily mean that intelligent life forms are "time traveling" but they are

simply traveling between dimensions, realms or universes.

Hollow Earth Theory This theory proposes that the planet earth

is either entirely hollow or otherwise contains a substantial interior

space.

In the early 19th century an American eccentric, John Cleves Symmes (1779-1829), sought funding

for an expedition to enter the earth through one of two 4,000-mile wide polar holes.

Inside the Earth, he was convinced, a benevolent advanced civilization existed.

Though an object of derision to most people, some took him seriously, and the idea of a

hollow Earth was championed in a number of books throughout the rest of the century and

right into the next.Today, hollow-earthers believe flying saucers travel in and out of

the polar holes.

The people inside are descendants of Atlantis and its Pacific equivalent, Lemuria.

Earthlights, Ball Lightening Hypothesis

People have reported seeing ball lightninga rare phenomenon that resembles a glowing sphere

of electricityfor hundreds of years.

Ball lightning often appears during thunderstorms and typically glows, spins, hisses, bounces,

and floats.

But scientists still can't explain what causes it, or even exactly what it is.

(although in 2006 Brazil's physicist Antonia Pavoa believes he recreated it in a lab)

Related to the balls of light hypothesis is the earthlights or earthquake lights hypothesis

which is based on the work of various independent researchers who have attempted to link UFO

sightings where geological faults and geomagnetic fluctuations occur.

Man-Made UFOs / Back Engineered Technology Governments and military have been attempting

to emulate the performance of UFOs for decades.

Pilots (especially since WWII) have reported that these craft have performed phenomenal

feats and are capable of speeds that far exceeds our current technology.

A good example of these efforts can be understood by reading about the AVRO Corporation which

mysteriously and abruptly closed their doors in 1962.

Follow this link for a list of the top 11 man-made UFOs that were made on earth.

Ever since the famous Roswell Incident of 1947 there has been serious speculation that

the US military has attempted to back engineer UFO technology.

In the event that the US military actually took possession of this type of technology

it would have been only natural to do so.

There have been claims by high ranking officials that other technologies were discovered at

the same time which include, night vision capabilities, lasers, bullet proof vest to

name just a few.

Follow this link for a list of 12 technologies that were developed in the 1950's and 60's

that may have had alien origin.

Other UFO Theories

TheoriesThere are other theories about where UFOs comes from and the reason we see them

but they are too numerous to go into here.

Some of those theories include.

Cryptoterrestrial Hypothesis - The belief that extraterrestrial intelligence is not

of our planet, but living among us.

Electromagnetic Hypothesis - Earths magnetic fields affect human perception (similar to

earthlights).

Geophysical Locations - Certain geophysical locations have a strong effect on human consciousness

(similar to earthlights).

Hoax - The theory that all UFOs are fake and perpetrated on the public intentionally, for

a short video on how to spot a hoax UFO sighting.

Mass Delusion - For multiple witnesses, sometimes thousands to have a false belief bordering

on psychotic, examples include Phoenix Lights and the Belgium Wave.

Misidentified Hypothesis - All UFOs are man made or natural.

Paranormal Hypothesis - Paranormal activity causes the human mind to materialize objects.

Phyccotronic Hypothesis - The belief that the UFO phenomena is the result of the manifestation

of the human subconscious.

Psycho-Social Hypothesis - This theory says people are a product of their social environment

and human behavior explains UFOs, such as, wishful thinking, hallucinations, misidentification

etc.

This is a one size fits all explanation.
