Woman Sitting Near Twin Babies On Plane Is Stunned When Parents Begin Handing Out Unusual
'Bags'
Christina Galese hopped on board the plane for her trip from Newark Liberty International
Airport to Orlando, armed for her flight with her trusty headphones.
You never know if your seatmate is a snorer, a talker or an armrest hog, so she tried to
be prepared.
But Christina definitely wasn't ready for what she encountered on her plane.
In fact, other passengers were quite stunned at what they traipsed across, too.
In one row was seated a dad with his cutie pie 18-month-old daughter perched on his lap.
In an adjacent row was his wife and the little girl's precious twin sister.
Christina noticed numerous passengers briskly walking right on by the two rows where the
wee ones sat, but she didn't.
She shared her story with Love What Matters and said she doesn't mind children and knew
she had a secret weapon anyway -- her headphones.
She climbed over the dad and one of the twins to occupy the window seat in their row.
More and more people walked on by, some glancing disdainfully at the young family.
Oftentimes airline passengers are less than thrilled when pint-sized travelers are on
board their plane.
Especially if they're fussy or loudly crying.
But Christina didn't mind.
Neither apparently did the passenger who sat down between her and the dad cradling the
little girl.
Before their flight taxied down the runway, the mom and dad did something so astonishing
that Christina felt compelled to share their story.
She and the other passengers couldn't believe it!
The parents of the twins stood up and handed out goodie bags to all of the passengers around
them!
The bags contained yummy chocolates and none other than a pair of earplugs.
The accompanying note tucked into the bag read:
"Hello!
Our names are Ashley & Abby.
We're twins, we just turned 18 months and this is our first time on an airplane!
We are heading to FL to see Grandma & Grandpa, and Mommy & Daddy said something about a mouse.
We'll try to keep our cool, but in case we decide to get crazy, we've provided a sweet
treat and some earplugs for your enjoyment.
Thank you for understanding and enjoy your flight!"
Christina said she had never seen a family make such a gesture to fellow passengers on
a confined plane.
Everyone seemed to appreciate their foresight and sweetness.
"Such a thoughtful, simple act of kindness that I am so happy to have experienced."
For the duration of their flight, Christina and the passengers never once needed the earplugs,
although they snuck in a few bites of delicious chocolate.
She described the twins as "the most adorable and well-behaved little girls ever."
Even though kids will be kids and parents shouldn't feel bad about them exhibiting typical
toddler behavior, even on a plane, what these parents did was truly heartwarming.
What a clever and compassionate idea!

Roman 'hand of god' unearthed by archaeologists near Hadrian's Wall - Duration: 3:32.Roman 'hand of god' unearthed by archaeologists near Hadrian's Wall
A mysterious bronze hand has been unearthed by archaeologists near Hadrian's Wall in the North of England. The child-sized hand was discovered in April during an excavation at the site of Vindolanda, an ancient Roman fort.
Discarded in a ditch, the hand was found near a temple devoted to the god Jupiter Dolichenus. The temple is part of the 3rd century A.D. fort's northern wall and dates back to a turbulent time in Roman history.
Research has dated the hand to between 208 and 212 A.D., coinciding with the time of so-called "Severan" emperors in Rome, a period marked by conflict, civil war, genocide and rebellion.
The cult of Jupiter Dolichenus is shrouded in mystery. "The cult is one of the 'mysterious' eastern cults due to it dying out before the adoption of Christianity in the main body of the Empire," Dr.
Andrew Birley, CEO and director of excavations at the Vindolanda Trust, told Fox News, via email.
"What we do know is that the cult is associated with the weather (certainly something the Romans would have encountered a lot of in Northern Britain in their war) and metal working.".
The 4-inch hand originally had an attachment, now missing, that was inserted into the palm. Jupiter Dolichenus was typically depicted holding a thunderbolt in his hand with upraised arm signifying his destructive power, according to experts.
The open hand also symbolizes protection and well-being. The hand's base has a socket and would have been originally fixed to a pole.
"This period was at the end of one of the bloodiest conflicts that has ever taken place on British soil," Birley told Fox News.
"It is a small window into the Roman psyche of those who had come through that war, representing the relief of survival and the hope of continued success and giving thanks to the god.".
At the time of the artifact's dedication, Jupiter Dolichenus was at the height of his popularity, according to Birley, stretching from Vindolanda in northern Britain to Rome, to Crimea and Syria.
Other votive hands have been found in other parts of the Roman Empire, but are slightly larger than the artifact found at Vindolanda.
The hand is the latest fascinating find at the historic site. Earliest this year, for example, archaeologists unearthed ancient boxing gloves at Vindolanda.
Last year, a trove of artifacts, including Roman swords, was discovered at Vindolanda. Researchers also found 25 wooden ink documents at the former fort, offering a fascinating glimpse into everyday life in the Roman Empire. .

Hello cyber citizens welcome to what the science Now we have seen what happens when Earth stops
spinning or reverses it's spin so let's check what happens when it rotates
faster than its usual speed so without any further adieu let's get started
Awesome INTRO
earth's current speed of rotation is 1034 miles per hour at the equator it spins slightly
slower at the poles but if all of sudden Earth's speed of rotation
increases then the major changes will be observed at the equator
just by increasing a speed of rotation by 1 mile per hour the sea level at the equator
will rise by few inches since the water from the poles will migrate to the equator
Increase it by 100 miles per hour the countries at the equator will start to drown
at 1000 miles faster the centrifugal force at the equator will pull hundreds of feets
of water towards the earth's centre except for the highest mountain such as Kilimanjaro
or highest summits of Andes everything in the equator will be submerged in water
also spinning at 1000 miles faster than the current speed will make water molecules to
overcome the gravity and the atmosphere in this region will turn into dense fog and heavy
clouds finally at 17000 miles per hour the centrifugal
force would match the force of gravity and we might even experience reverse rain
but I guess there won't be anyone left at the equator to experience this phenomenon
but an increase in Earth's rotation speed will immediately throw all over geostationary
satellites off track since everything now a days requires satellites
be it television broadcasting military and intelligence operations, mobile phone etc.
everything will be gone temporarily without satellites in sync
but bringing everything back to sync will take more time and can cost a lot of money
faster spinning Earth can make you lose weight weight
as we know weight is mass times acceleration due to gravity
Earth's centrifugal force is constantly trying to fling you off the planet but it is the
gravity which keeps you grounded Currently if you weigh 150 pounds at the Arctic
Circle you might weight 149 LBS at the equator this is because the centrifugal force at the
equator is higher and it combats gravity so with further increase in Earth rotation
Speed the centrifugal force will increase and will make you lighter
at the speed of 17,641 miles per hour you will feel like you are floating weightless
and dead a faster spinning earth will give you constant
jet lag as your body is adapted to 24 hour schedule
any reduction in that will affect our bodily functions
this will also affect plants and animals resulting in some of them to get extinct
but all of this will happen only if it speeds up all of a sudden
a faster spinning earth will result in stronger Hurricanes
if earth wasn't spinning all the winds from the north pole will blow in a straight line
towards the equator and vice versa but because we are spinning the wind gets
deflected towards east this is called Coriolis effect
and this is what gives Hurricane the spin a faster moving earth will deflect winds further
eastward making rotation more severe hence stronger Hurricane
earth's tectonic plates are floating on molten lava
with increase in speed this plates will also more quickly, creating more friction between
the plates resulting in enormous earthquakes and volcanic eruption, that would be disastrous
to life so those were the few effects
but we shouldn't be concerned about earth pressing the accelerator and rotating many
times faster than its current speed because speed of rotation is slowing down
about 4.4 billion years ago earth used to spin faster
such that each day was only 4 hours long but something use crashed into Earth and the
Moon was formed since the formation of moon earth's spin has been slowing down by 3.8
miles per hour every 10 million years mostly due to moon gravitational pull on our planet
so it is most likely that earth will continue to slow down in future not speed up until
and unless it is hit by something huge that would liquefy the crust
so that it can spin faster but we won't be alive to witness a fast-moving
earth after that collision so that's it from this episode from what the science please
do check out our other videos explaining what would happen if earth stopped spinning suddenly
or a reverses its spin and let us know what do you think about this video in the comment

What is Mirage ? | Total Internal Reflection - Duration: 2:23.you might have noticed a puddle of water on the road ahead when driving on a
sunny day the road on the front looks wet and when you approach towards it it
moves forward well this is an optical illusion called Mirage Mirage is an
optical phenomena which is the result of total internal reflection light when
travelling from a denser medium to a lighter medium bends away from the
normal this is called refraction increasing the angle of incidence will
affect the light to bend more and more and there will be an incident angle when
the refracted rays will be so bent that it passes through the separating surface
between the two medium this special angle is called critical angle if the
incident angle is further increased the refracted ray comes back to the previous
medium or in other words totally reflected this is called total internal
reflection in summer the hot rod heats of the air just above it this change in
temperature of the air changes the density and refractive index light from
the sky when passes through the layers of different density air it refracts
many times and there creates a point where the angle is so that the total
internal reflection takes place and the light reflects upward when we finally
see the light and Trace back in straight line we see a his reflection of the sky
on road and looks wet or puddle of water the same phenomena is used in
optical fiber in communication by transmitting signal in the form of light
optical fibres are made of core and cladding the core has high refractive
index and the cladding has comparatively low refractive index light when enters
with an angle more than critical angle bounces inside the fiber many times and
reaches on the other end with a very little loss even if the fiber is bent or
of complex shape the major advantage in the fiber is they are immune to
electromagnetic interferences and these fibers are used for high-speed
communication so you see the phenomena that causes Mirage is used for
communication so this was about total internal
reflection like if you liked the video say something on the comment box
subscribe to the channel and see other videos thank you so much for watching

Q&A - What is this flower? A: Cleome - Duration: 1:33."What is this plant?
"I have seen it before but can't remember "what it is called," and this is from Rick
in Corith, Mississippi.
You wanna do this one?
- This is my favorite plant.
- Your favorite plant, Andy, go ahead.
- It's not native, but it's a cleome.
- Cleome.
- And they reseed, if you got it, it could come back from last year, or again, it's good
for pollinators, I've got actually a big patch in my yard, behind some natives.
But it has a small footprint, it'll get taller and taller, one thing you might wanna try
if you want to get a constant bloom, at some point, cut the big seed head off, and see
if you can get some lateral growth, although they're really tall, pretty, interesting plants,
but they reseed freely.
If you got it this year and it's happy, you're gonna have it next year too, from fresh plants.
- You can share it with friends.
- Yeah, lots of friends.
- Also had a friend with a cat named Cleome.
Cool cat name, if you're lookin' for a new pet name, think about Cleome.
-So there you have it Rick, it's Andy's favorite plant.
- One of my favorites.
- One of your favorites.
- We have no favorites.
- Yeah, y'all have--
- One of your favorites.
- It's my favorite plant right now.
- So it's his favorite plant right now, Rick.

What drives MediaLink CEO Michael Kassan? | What Drives You - Duration: 9:32.Well Karen it's funny you said 2018 because I kind of feel like we're back in 1859.
1859?
1859.
What was in 1859?
Well there was an interesting thing that happened in 1859.
Charles Dickens wrote his famous 'Tale of Two Cities,' the opening lines of which
you might remember were the best of times and the worst of times.
I think that defines our industry today.
For some it's the best of times. For some it's the worst of times.
I'm Karen Tso and this is my new ride for the week.
I'm taking it for a spin along the Croisette for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity -
and bringing along some of the biggest names in advertising, business and entertainment.
As we ask…
Today, I'm taking a trip down memory lane with Medialink CEO and founder Michael Kassan.
With Kassan at its helm, the consultancy firm has built a name for itself by making high-level connections,
whether that be at their star-studded, VIP parties or behind closed doors.
I'm an aficionado of Hamilton.
I've seen the musical seven times.
My favorite song from that show is Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr and Thomas Jefferson
and James Madison lamenting about no one else was in the room where it happened.
I fancy that MediaLink has afforded me and our team the opportunity to be in the room
where it happens in our industry and to be part of the decision making,
as an adviser of course but to be part of the decision making.
So how did Kassan and his company end up advisors to high-profile decision makers?
Let's put this car in reverse - right back to the 1950s.
Michael Kassan was born in New York, Brooklyn specifically.
But it wasn't too long before his family moved out west.
As I like to say my parents loaded up the covered wagons and moved across the country
to California which then was a lot of orange groves.
So it was an interesting time to go west young man as we would say.
I had a pretty standard childhood.
I grew up in Southern California, did all the Southern California things, traded in
my horseback riding for my surfboard and my surfboard for my skis.
Kassan attended UCLA for his undergraduate and law degrees.
But it was Kassan's third stint in higher education that brought him back to the east coast.
That's where I focused my career as I started as a tax lawyer in the entertainment industry.
That was quite big in the day, wasn't it? To be a tax lawyer?
It was and interestingly enough, riding through Cannes which is a festival founded on creativity
and core to its principles.
I would submit to you that in tax planning back in the day you could be creative.
The laws allowed for a fair amount of creativity.
If I'm honest though Karen, I never envisaged that I would practice law for my whole career.
It looked to me more like a means to an end.
I wasn't sure what the end was but I knew that I really wanted to be the client more than be the lawyer.
Kassan's evolution from tax lawyer to media executive began with one of his clients,
International Video Entertainment.
We had characters on video like G.I. Joe and Transformers and Strawberry Shortcake
and Inspector Gadget and the early days of home video were around identifying those titles,
those big movies but also around children's titles.
And it was another client of Kassan's that finally pulled him into the media industry.
Western International Media was the biggest buyer television spot advertising in the nation
at the time, and its founder Dennis Holt wanted Kassan on board.
He turned to me in the early 90s and said, "I need some help."
And I said, "Well, I'm not looking for a job," and he said "I'm not offering you a job, I'm offering you a life."
And I said, "Well that's interesting," "And what life would that be?"
He said, "That life would be to help me run this company."
I said, "Well I don't know much about the media business."
Quite daunting for Kassan at the time, but he learnt on the job.
A client would come to us and say I have money to invest in my marketing spend
and in those days the choices were simple.
It was television, it was radio, it was out-of-home billboards and it was magazines and newspapers.
There wasn't much else. We didn't have the internet.
The business became much more complicated as we go.
But that's how I made my start in the business, joining that company in the early 90s.
Kassan stayed on with the company after its sale to advertising holding company Interpublic in 1994.
When I left that company in 2000 we were at about $11 billion of media placement
which at that time made us the largest in the world.
So I got my start at a pretty good place in the media ecosystem and was proud to build
that company to heights that had not been realized before in media planning and media buying.
Another point of pride?
Opening up Cannes Lions to media.
My first trip to Cannes Lions was by accident.
The Cannes Lions was strictly the domain of the creatives.
I happened to be on holiday at the Hotel du Cap and I saw several of the lead creative
people in the industry and I said, "Gee this is funny why are you all here?"
They said, "Well it's the Cannes Lions down the beach a bit and you know at the Croisette."
And I said, "Oh Cannes Lions I've heard about that."
Because on the media side we were never part of this festival
and as a result of that I took a ride in from Antibes and looked around and said,
"Geez the media people should be here."
Creativity is at the core but media is what drives the business in terms of getting the message out.
Kassan and Interpublic parted ways in 1999.
But instead of diving headfirst back into the industry, Kassan decided to take some time off.
When I left Interpublic at the turn of the century, I love to say that makes me feel so old,
at the turn of the century I took about 18 months off and I took that time off
to really understand where the digital world was taking us, and taking us I mean those
of us at the sort of intersection of marketing, media, advertising, entertainment and technology
because if I was fortunate to do one thing I identified that intersection as being rather
chaotic and if it was an opportunity that grew out of the chaos I wanted to make sure
I understood all the different elements of it.
Kassan surrounded himself with the smartest people he knew in the business,
but it was his wife that inspired his next big adventure.
I turned to the person who gave me sage advice for the last 43 years and that was my wife
and she said, "You know all these people are calling you asking you questions and asking
for your advice and your strategy help. You could actually charge them for this."
And I said, "Well maybe."
And that's how the idea of MediaLink was born.
Sitting at the intersection of marketing, media, advertising, entertainment and tech,
the consultancy advises clients on business transformation, organizational design, acquisitions,
executive searches and media reviews for some of the biggest ad spenders in the world.
For example, Disney and Comcast - NBCUniversal's parent company - have been making headlines
with a bidding war over FOX's assets.
MediaLink works with all three.
I'm going to bet it's going to be a fight to the finish and an interesting one.
Who's going to win?
Oh gosh, you know.
Roberts or Iger?
I don't know. This was a tough call.
You've got two of the best businessmen in the world in Brian Roberts and Bob Iger,
certainly in the world of media.
And I think they both want it very much.
Michael, you're sitting on the fence here. Which side?
I'd put my money today on the Walt Disney Company as having an advantage,
in that they've been there and kicking these tires for about six months since December.
So I think that gives them an advantage.
I feel like it's Sophie's Choice for me to make a real call there, but if I had to make that bet
I think that's the bet I'd make today.
The man known for advising on big deals recently got involved with one of his own,
selling MediaLink to Ascential, a business-to-business media and events company
most famous for organizing Cannes Lions.
Amongst my friends and those in the industry the joke was everyone used to say that MediaLink
owned the Cannes Lions and then a year and a half ago the Cannes Lions actually ended up owning MediaLink.
Now MediaLink is focused on expansion.
It's opened offices in London and Frankfurt over the past year and is expanding into Asia next.
I've never been great at math, I tell people I spent 50% of my time in Los Angeles.
50% of my time in New York and a third of my time elsewhere so
that does add up to be more than 100% I know.

Dear Younger Me: What Wish I Could Tell My Younger Self - Duration: 29:27.This is my first time doing this. I didn't do
it on public because I didn't know what was gonna happen, so I'm do this
privately and I'll post it if it's okay. For goodness sakes
I don't know what I just did. I'll try to hold very still, okay. I'm
right next to a fire here. Right next to the fireplace. I don't have a lot of light in here some
pretty dark other than this fire. I want to give us kind of cozy um fireside chat sort of feel because it is.
So it's kind of late'ish, late at night. So this season right now is my birthday
season which used to be a really happy time, but for a couple years now it's
also been kind of a sad time too because that means I'm coming up in the
university of like the last time I saw my son you know will always gonna coincide
with that cuz the last time that I saw him he come home for the 4th July
and my birthday. He came home on July 3rd and stayed till the 7th, and then left my son
was like 7th 2016, and then I talked to him on the night that it happened just a
couple hours before . The last words we said to each other were: I said
"be careful I love you" and he said " I love you too mom." Crazy.
So yeah, I've been thinking about my younger self you know like. It's funny how
time kind of collapses you know. Like you get to be middle-aged you know you have
adult kids, and even kids that even die you know all that.
And you know you remember yourself at their age it's not like when they were little
it I didn't even remember myself at their age I mean I totally...it doesn't even
seem that long ago, and strangely enough this year just because of social media
they've actually a couple people I've gotten in touch
with me, and they didn't even know me as a mom. I mean they knew me
before I had children so almost when I was almost that long ago so that's kind
of interesting it's kinda like a time capsule of you know I want him sent me
some pictures I'll put those up with the video but anyway so just you know kind a
lot of things are running through my mind like you know what would be the
things the things I would say to my younger self you know what what I wish I
knew or you know and of course that's a huge epic question it's like okay what
would I say to my younger self well would I you know what's the context
right what I know that it's my future self saying it to me so that I were like
would I be like my 25 year old self or 22 year old self hearing from my self
now knowing with the truth knew was gonna happen so I could change it or we
might not be able to change and I just you know like it might just we're just
be telling myself like relax pace yourself it's gonna be hard you
know when I say that or when I say don't you don't marry him don't we don't you
know I don't know obviously obviously I would if I could stop myself from and
making a couple critical decisions that I made back-to-back two decisions I made
back-to-back that were life-altering decisions that
I I can't imagine okay yeah that I can't imagine but what my life would have been
like had I not made the first always to move back move back home to Washington
leave leave Los Angeles I had just I was living down in Los Angeles and I just
been I just been like an agent had just discovered me well I like to have me
come in just screen tests and stuff I never even told anybody about that and I
I decided that relationships were what mattered to me and my grandmother just
bent down and she looked like she was getting so old and I didn't like miss
out on the last years with her and I had this missing memory from my childhood I
don't know what that was about I wanted to go back home and kind of piece
together my life I felt kind of disjointed disconnected from I couldn't
piece my life together my path together I wanted and I figured the legend sort
of mattered if I had this whole I have all my family and my childhood friends
everybody all up in one place all these people all the people that loved me in
one place why wouldn't I go up there and make my
life up there that was my logic at the time and so
that's what I did you know I I went up to Washington and then right away and it
was kind of prompted by my brother was getting my brother had become engaged to
a girl she was coming home for like a week for an engagement party and then
leaving forever she moved to Scotland to marry this woman and he was gonna move
there to Scotland and um so I'm thinking oh my parents are losing their son I
should go you know at least if I didn't if I'm
moving back that would make up for that you know like right now they have both
of us temporarily you know I'm going to California he was in Japan at the time
you know maybe hit that him saying he's permanently moving away maybe if I say
I'm moving back how to make up for that little did I know that
they were not gonna be unhappy with him moving to Scotland they were but they
were gonna been happy with my moving back they just they didn't care they
didn't want me moving back I had no idea I could never I wouldn't did not have
any idea that that would be the case so that was this is one and the decision to
have an almost simultaneous to back with it was vision one and that was um when I
got a call from my oldest friends older sister and I call him Griffin in my book
but his older sister who I call Maeve in my book invited me out with a group of
friends that I had a scrape of her friends I really wanna introduce you to
them there's a great group of women and you know though if you need a job or
place you know apartment or something they can really hooked you up but it's a
great group of women I really want you to meet him I think you fit in like
really great I was like oh thank god I just come through this rejection with my
mother and father and I was just like thank god this would this is wacky mom
this has never happened anywhere else this wouldn't happen in Los Angeles this
is where cuz I have old friends this is why I moved back here I went out I went
to meet this group of friends and it was a total setup there was nobody there but
my ex-husband he was the only guy there it was complete setup she'd done it all
for him arranged it all for him and for a split second alarm osmond off alarm
bell alarm bells I was really defend it at first I was like I was really bummed
out because she I'd really set it out like I was really flattered and excited
that she had called and invited me and then it was it was a scam and but I
quickly turned I quickly told myself but it was flattering that he'd go and all
this effort i mighta have to to go through to get her to do that and all
that and um and then also I told myself that because she set it up he must be a
really really it would be a really good guy you know that she's giving him just
her stamp of approval and I respected her opinion and
so you know I so if that was his number two and I you know I first and I wasn't
taking that seriously I didn't think it would really go anywhere so I was kind
of just kind of confessing with him like what was going on with me you know
emotionally with my family little did I know that I was like you
know telling this guy that was gonna complete sociopath I tend to be using it
all against me yeah I skip Effingham I'll guy yeah I
moved back up here and I don't remember my childhood and I'm having at least
weird like kind of flashbacks and my mother's acting so strange and you know
just whatever whatever and uh lo and behold they're all gonna come back to me
like ten years later he's gonna use it all you smell like it's me but um yeah
yeah whatsoever I'd shit what I've told my younger self well quick if I could
undo any of that I would definitely Warner hope they don't go back don't go
back don't and don't uh don't tell Mary that guy but aside from that I would I
would I would I would go a lot more and you trust me feel you need to trust how
you feel go with your feelings because I didn't at the time I didn't I didn't
listen to my feelings at all I I talked myself out of my feelings most of the
time and I told myself that I was too sensitive I told myself that I was you
know all the things that I'd been told you know I told myself that those are
those not reliable reliable feelings I can go I couldn't I couldn't just go
with what felt good all right it you know like if what she had done
felt bad to me or it felt wrong felt weird to me that he had lied to me I
didn't trust myself just go that doesn't feel right but it wasn't right it wasn't
right and it took me I forgot all about it for years not until the whole thing
blew up said Jackie later today even though these things even start to come
back to me that he was remember oh yeah our first date was a complete and total
lie our second jape he totally abandoned me
I had these stories on my channel you have to look at like my early dating
stories I tell those stories about what happened there were red flags all over
the place I totally ignore totally ignore the red flags so you know I would
I didn't I did not understand at all how I should be treated I had such low
standards for how I should be treated because you know just you know when you
I tell you when you have if you're a father of a daughter god don't
underestimate how important it is because you really are teaching your
little girl how how to be treated how she should how he deserves to be treated
and my father didn't teach me that I deserve to be treated with any kind of
tenderness or gentleness or or respect or anything you know he taught me that I
deserved to be neglected and should ignore my feelings indicator to someone
else's needs and that you know I just wasn't precious it wasn't important it
wasn't you know those would be the things I would tell my I would tell my
younger self I tell myself you are really special you're really special and
you haven't been loved well you don't know that you don't know that you
haven't been loved well but you haven't been loved well and you deserve to be
loved well you deserve to be loved unconditionally you deserve to know how
precious you are how wonderful you are how wonderful your big soft gentle heart
is and that it shouldn't be it shouldn't be taken advantage of or made fun of or
you know should be treated with utmost respect tender loving care
hmm and I'm sorry it wasn't you've been neglected I would tell her you've been
neglected you've really been neglected and you need to pay attention to it
don't go with what feels comfortable to you because what feels comfortable
familiar to you isn't going to be right it's not going to be right
you have to override override wet chemistry look what tells you that feels
right because it's not right it's just it's just familiar and if this doesn't
get through if I can't change the course of history then I'm just gonna say
pace yourself road really rough road but you can do it I wish I could make it
easier for you it's gonna be quite a journey but you'll be a wise woman one
day o wise wise women one day yeah and you know you're gonna live you're gonna
live and you know love fully and you're gonna have your heart broken but when
it's all over you will know you have lived and you'll have felt at all a full
range of everything
yeah I would I would you know if I if I had like me for a daughter I would
really try and change the way that I saw myself changed my value change what I
put up with gosh you know I really had imbalanced
relationships all around even with friends all around I had some good
people in my life too but I just I just didn't I just didn't expect enough of
anyone you know all right ended up putting up with a lot
of selfish people in my life you know I I was naturally drawn to them and they
were naturally drawn to me I asked so that's that I was raised I guess but
yeah he did a good job when I was probably you're a good good person
you've been a good person proud of you what person that you are
yeah it's hard up in vim overcome is this series of videos to trend up trying
to work on like um like post-traumatic groves and the things that come from
trauma here are the benefits that can come from it and you know kind of the
things that come from just you know like mistakes you know you guys I would I
would say to you is you know people a lot smarter than you will make much
Dumber mistakes than you've made so don't beat yourself up because it'll be
tempting because you'll have a lot of people blaming you because that's what
they do a lot of people in your life are blamers
you know so they'll blame you and you're gonna want to blame yourself because
you're gonna invest a lot of time this is if I can't change things so say
things just scare any other way they're gonna go things are just gonna go the
way they're gonna go that's a you're gonna invest a lot of time in people and
in things you're gonna give a hundred percent or things that are not going to
work out if you think that are going to completely blow up in your face and
people are going to take advantage of you and people are going to use you and
then blame you for things because it's they have to do because you're around a
lot of really sick people and
don't blame yourself you you learned from it you know you are you and you
were doing the right thing you went you went back to be with your family cuz
you're a family-oriented person you ambassador to be a devoted daughter and
granddaughter you got married you planning on being a devoted wife and
mother he completely you you did you did it
100% right you just didn't have boundaries
and you didn't have anyone no I had your back no one had your back you know my
husband wouldn't have been is abusive if I had a family on my side you know he
just knew he'd get away with it because it didn't have anyone protecting me and
my family was they just didn't they just didn't know me they just didn't know me
didn't they didn't know we didn't know what they have in me and so they just
they just didn't appreciate it and I bailed on me you know so nothing you
could do about any of that nothing you could you about any of that the only
thing the only thing that you did was take abuse for too long and so don't
spend a large time beating yourself up and abusing yourself then after it's
over because they're gonna kick you around really good and kick you around
they're gonna take everything from you that matters to you and you know lie
about you lie to themselves about you and you will have all the time just been
devoted you just been doing it just to get their approval and it's never gonna
come so you got give yourself your approval and you gotta understand the
you were up against an impossible impossible thing you said up just
something it seems so simple and seem so doable
she was so reasonable and I just wasn't you know when you made that decision you
said I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm not gonna go for this I'm not gonna try and be
trying to be as an actress I'm gonna try and do that that's way too lofty of the
goal I'm gonna scope go home and maybe a good daughter and a good sister
and a good you know whatever friend just be a good person that man I'll be the
hub of a family that seems very doable it should have been but in my case in
your case it probably was it will that was never possible it was more possible
for you to become a movie star for you to become an actress in Hollywood was
way more way more likely than the fact that you were ever gonna become you know
they were gonna have this happy family life with these people it was never
gonna happen but nobody could have told you that nobody could've told you that
nobody had showed you dad and of course nobody even tried to tell
you that and so it was already way too way too late here already really well
invested but because people don't think that way that's not a society a society
tells you that it's all doable your parents love you
society tells you that things like this don't happen but they do happen and
there's some reason why it happened to you and I believe that's because you are
strong enough to take it you have the skills to do something with it
maybe it's because you can write you can speak and whatever it needed to happen
to you so that you could do something with it to help people just read the
word about it to expose this kind of abuse to to do something to get to make
it so that the next generation has helped and I know that one of the things
was you thought you thought the ending the abuse in your family ending that
cycle of abuse in your family was was the goal and and it was and you did do
that it's just that
I didn't turn out the way you hoped because you didn't you also lost a child
but and that will obviously break your heart this person that is no special
person here in your world it's only gonna be here for our season you know
but yeah you are gonna have an epic life you can have an epic life and if say
you're 20 to 23 but I'm your life doubles you will not believe it you will
not believe the things that you've seen and John but if psychic once told me
even when I was looking who knows like like 20 20 22 that the best time of my
life was gonna be when I was like an old woman when I was like doing your
grandmother's music has to be the highlight of my life so I'm hoping that
that was right that sounds pretty good to me I think that would be pretty
awesome so so there a lot going on okay so coming up on birthday coming up
on that over three if losing Noah we're moving taking a trip down to Mexico next
week and then we're moving and so a lot going on lots lots going on that I'm
gonna still train keep Mike to make sure I get my videos posted and and keep keep
you guys in the loop and I don't know how to do actually do giveaways but I'm
gonna try and just I really want to do some giveaways please write comments
because I'm going to make sure you subscribed make sure you somehow leave
me some way to get in touch with you because I want to I have lots of things
to give away I want to get I want to give stuff away and I'm trying to boost
my channel too I need to really try and get my my channel going because at
several months where I really fell behind because I just didn't realize
what was going on with advertisements and stuff like that it's
like it's like an epic thing you're hearing these channels it's like you
have to be an expert in so many different things you know crazy so I
just didn't I just didn't realize what was going on I wasn't really running ads
and I didn't realize that I was like not getting seen by anybody and so it's
bubbling away way down in the feed so I need to get boosted back up I mean I
need lots of engagements for YouTube just start thinking that I my channel
doesn't suck cuz I mean she probably thinks my
channel 6 because nobody you know any any of you use or you know so I need
lots of likes and comments and shares and and watch time and that kind of
stuff so please if you like my channel please help me out with getting me some
engagement get me boosted back up so it so that YouTube gives me gives you some
love gives me some love and gets me gets me back going again alright you guys um
alright Sonia Simon I'm paying on this I'm doing this sort of series right now
where I'm talking about post-traumatic growth and and some things like that
about mistakes and beating yourself up and forgiving yourself with the things
you've done wrong and and what I wanted to say about that is my final parting
thing is that you know you can't beat yourself up for the mistakes because
mistakes really are what made you who you are you know
honestly we're not learning anything from the victories you know you learn
from the mistakes the mistakes are who made you who you are and and the
beautiful thing is that unless you're sick unless you're disordered you can
enter you can look inside and you can learn from your mistakes and you can
grow and make you bigger you know the very worst thing is when you're when
you're like these abusers and they can't even do that they just keep making
mistakes and they have to just ramrod them with their way through it without
learning a thing you know and this is just that's really just pathetic but you
don't have to do that you can learn you can learn and a lot of times what you
end up learning is that you're relatively limited and what you're able
to do about you know allowing for luck of the
draw who you know who you've got who you were born to I mean no but no I just say
like a jock that's not true I really believe there's a cash life so but
there's something you do about haven't you in agreement about how you pick who
you are born to who your parents are but once you're here you can't pay you
know three pressures who you are and there was nothing to be changing them
you know there was not going to be any changing of your parents so the only
place there was for any change was in you and the fact that you are even here
if you're watching this channel if you know any if you even know what I'm
talking about then that means that you have done a lot
of work and that means that you have not done the autopilot thing which is
because the people that are on autopilot are either back being abused like we
were or their abusers and so you're not either one of those things you're
heading in the right direction and that's not an easy road that's the
hardest road to take that's why it's the road less traveled that's the road less
traveled not saying yeah that will make all the difference right that makes all
the difference which roads pick but yeah those mistakes made you who you are and
it was an easy life and it wasn't an easy life but um but
it's the material for being a very compassionate person for being able or
wise person and it's material for being a creative artist for sure if you have
an art that you create this is a treasure trove of material that you'll
never it'll never run dry never run dry so my son he had you know he was a
musician and he just was like he had a lifetime's worth of songs just saying
you know and I'm hoping maybe he started seeing through me you know who teach me
how to play play guitar get me to sing his songs he'd be awesome anyway
I had lots of stuff planned for him and and what I want to do is pursuing some
stuff for him too so you know let's let's just going on wants to change
changes I was in the air change that was happening okay guys thanks so much for
your support for being here with me on my birthday week I stretch out for like
a week all right and take care thank you so much for for
being here for being supportive of me and my channel and all the things that
I'm doing and please comment write you know anything anything you would like to
talk about anything you'd like to anything just write in the comments let
me know I'm I'm open I'm free and I'm you know I'm the most looking for ways
to kind of shift the channel so that it's a little bit unique a little bit
different you know in whatever area you are needing you know what is it that you
come you come online looking for you're not finding you know maybe let me know
because maybe I can do it whatever that is so okay I will talk to y'all later
you

online celebrities after their fame fizzles out?
Let's take a look at 15 famous Internet meme stars and their life post-fame!
10.
Overly Attached Girlfriend Overly Attached Girlfriend, also known as
OAG, is a cult meme showing a close-up of a girl staring at the camera with a creepy
smile.
The image is accompanied by different captions that portray her in the stereotype of a possessive
girlfriend with stalker tendencies.
The OAG meme originated in a viral YouTube video created by Internet personality Laina
Morris in 2012.
The video was a submission to a contest held by pop star Justin Bieber who challenged fans
to create a "Girlfriend" counterpart to his hit song "Boyfriend".
So what happened to Laina after her video became a viral sensation?
Unlike many Internet meme stars, she actually managed to turn her online stardom in a lucrative
business.
Laina is the owner of a self-titled YouTube channel where she posts weekly videos for
her army of over 1.2 million subscribers.
She has created a number of popular videos satirizing "stalkerish" songs by Drake,
Carly Rae Jepsen, Backstreet Boys, Avril Lavigne, Ke$ha, One Direction, and Taylor Swift.
Laina has also been featured in videos by other popular YouTubers like Shane Dawson,
Tyler Oakley and TheBrothersReidell and even appeared in an ad for Samsung's SSD 840
drive.

Ridiculously Photogenic Guy Ridiculously Photogenic Guy is a Photoshop
meme featuring a photo of a handsome smiling man running in the 2012 Cooper River Bridge
Run.
The photo went viral after the photographer who took it posted it on Reddit under the
title "Mr. Ridiculously Photogenic Guy".
The post immediately received over 40,000 up votes and reached 300,000 views on Flickr
within an hour.
The following day, Mashable published a post titled "New Meme Alert: 'Ridiculously
Photogenic Guy" which included an image of the man's face photoshopped into a picture
with comedian Tina Fey.
From that point on, the meme began spreading like wildfire and has since spawned thousands
of versions.
So who's the mystery man on the picture?
His name is Zeddie Little and he's a New York resident who works in the PR industry.
In April 2012, Zeddie Little appeared on the American TV show Good Morning America and
revealed that the photo was taken immediately after he waved to a friend.
He also said that he felt honored to be part of an online joke that was in good spirit
considering how vicious Internet jokes can get.
Sadly, Zeddie's Good Morning America appearance was the height of his media coverage and he
has since disappeared from the public eye.
Oh well, at least he's had his 15 minutes of fame.
Quick!
Now is the perfect time to click the subscribe button before we move on with our list!
Done?
OK, let's keep going.
8.
Hipster Barista Hipster Barista is a popular meme showing
a stereotypical hipster dressed in a black V-neck t-shirt and wearing thick-framed glasses
on his judgmental face.
The image, which is supposed to poke fun at the snobby coffee shop employees, was first
uploaded on Quickmeme on August 24, 2011 with the caption "I got this tattoo for my love
of coffee and this one because it's ironic."
The meme quickly spread across social media and featured different captions like "$120,000
art degree / draws faces in latte foam", "puts coffee deal on groupon / rolls eyes
when you actually use it", and "I try to confront societal norms when I make my
coffee foam art".
So who's the real-life barista from the photo and where is he now?
The guy's name is Dustin Mattson and at the time the picture was taken he worked as
a barista at Octane Coffee in Atlanta, Georgia.
He now works as a customer support representative for a North Carolina-based specialty coffee
roaster called Counter Culture Coffee.
In a 2017 interview, Dustin revealed that the meme taught him to think more about his
relationship with customers.
"There are a lot of really real things that are represented in a lot of those memes,"
said Dustin.
"You had a lot of anonymous people creating memes as a way to vent their frustration at
their local barista who doesn't treat them very well."
Dustin claims the whole meme thing made him want to work harder at his job and treat his
customers better.
Good for you, Dustin!
7.
Scumbag Steve Scumbag Steve is a classic Internet meme that
became popular all the way back in 2006.
It originated with a picture of a teenager wearing a backwards fitted cap and a winter
coat with a fake fur collar.
The captions on the meme reflect the d-bag behavior of guys who overindulge in drugs,
partying, and other shady things.
The meme gained in popularity when it was uploaded onto Reddit with the title "I hated
this guy."
Apparently, we all know a guy like Steve, but what about the real person in the picture?
His name is Blake Boston and he was only 16 when the picture was taken by his amateur
photographer mom.
In an interview with KnowYourMeme, Boston admitted that the meme was a pretty accurate
representation of his behavior in high school when he used to party all the time and tried
to make it as an underground rapper.
In 2012, Blake tried to capitalize on his Internet fame by releasing one song on iTunes
every Thursday under the alias "Blake Boston AKA Scumbag Steve".
As you can imagine, his rap career never took off and Steve is now just a regular father
of two boys.
He's still very much active online though, so if you want to see what Scumbag Steve's
up to these days, you can find follow his twitter account @BlakeBoston617.
6.
Damn, Daniel Damn, Daniel is a catchphrase meme originating
from a 2016 viral video featuring a voiceover of a teenager complimenting his friend Daniel
on his daily fashion choices, particularly his white Vans sneakers.
The original video was re-tweeted more than 300,000 times, received over 400,000 liked
on Twitter, and was looped more than two million times on the now-defunct video hosting service
Vine.
The two boys in the video are Daniel Lara and his friend, Joshua Holz, high school students
from Riverside, California.
While most of their peers would have used the new-found Internet fame for not-so-honorable
things, Daniel and Joshua have proved to be wise beyond their years.
In 2016, the boys appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show and received a life-time supply of Vans'
shoes, which they later donated to patients at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital
in California.
Daniel was even offered a modeling contract by several prominent agencies, but he turned
it down in order to focus on getting a college swimming scholarship.
5.
Bad Luck Brian In 2012, a photo titled "Bad Luck Brian"
appeared on Reddit, showing a blonde teenage boy wearing a plaid sweater vest and braces.
The photo was accompanied by captions that describe various embarrassing and unfortunate
situations suffered by poor Brian, like "takes driving test / gets first DUI", "takes
first cruise on Costa Concordia", and "sleeps over at a girl's house / wets the bed."
After the "Bad Luck Brian" photo became a popular Internet meme, it was turned into
T-shirts, stuffed animals, and novelty items sold by Wal-Mart and Hot Topic, while Volkswagen
and other companies paid to use the picture in their advertising campaigns.
So who's the real-life Brian and is he really that unlucky?
Well, first of all, his name isn't Brian – it's Kyle Craven and he was actually
in on the joke.
Kyle was apparently a class clown during his high school days and loved to pull pranks
on his friends and teachers.
On the day of the yearbook photoshoot, Kyle went to a local thrift store and bought the
ugliest plaid sweater vest he could find.
He also rubbed his face to make it red, squinted his eyes, puffed out his jaw and took a silly
photo that went on to become one of the most recognizable Internet memes.
While Kyle managed to make between $15,000 and $20,000 by licensing deals and meme-inspired
T-shirts during his short-lived fame, he's now just a regular guy who lives with his
wife and works for his father's construction company building churches in Ohio.
4.
Success Kid In 2007, Laney Griner from Jacksonville, Florida
took the photo of her son 11-month old son Sammy trying to eat sand and posed it on Flickr
not knowing it would soon become a viral sensation.
The photo was then shared by thousands of social media users with captions that described
small personal victories of the "Success Kid".
After the meme became popular, Little Sammy went on to appear in an ad for Vitamin Water
as well as billboards for Virgin Mobile UK.
The photo was even used by members of Barack Obama's staff to promote immigration reform
on Twitter.
However, the most important legacy of the "Success Kid" meme was saving the life
of little Sammy's father Justin who was diagnosed with kidney failure shortly before
Sammy's birth and had to receive dialysis three days a week for years.
Luckily, all of that changed in April 2015 when Laney Griner used the meme in a GoFundMe
campaign intended to raise $75,000 for her husband's kidney transplant.
The campaign raised more than $100,000 in a matter of days and Sammy's father underwent
a successful transplant operation in August 2015.
When 10-year old Sammy was asked about being the face of a popular meme, he said: "I'm
glad it makes people happy when they're sad.
I'm also really happy that I still have a dad."
3.
Salt Bae Salt Bae is the nickname of Turkish chef Nusret
Gökçe, the star of a viral video meme which shows the snazzy chef flamboyantly sprinkling
salt on a carved steak.
Nusret posted the original video on Twitter on January 7th 2017 and within 48 hours the
video gained over 2.4 million views and 8,700 comments.
That same evening, Twitter user @lolalissaa reposted another video in which Nusret can
be seen hanging a cooked slab of meat over a woman's mouth and captioned it with words
"so this is #saltbae."
From that point on, the meme spread all over social media and a number of major news sites
began publishing articles about Nusret's online fame.
While a lot of people thought that Nusret was just playing a character in the video,
it turned out that this stylish chef is really that passionate about his job.
In an interview for NBC News, Nusret said that "the shape of the meat and the taste
of it starting from the top down is a part of me...all of my feelings are coming from
inside of the meat down to when I put the salt onto the meat."
Besides being a successful owner of a steakhouse chain in Turkey, Nusret recently opened a
new restaurant in New York where celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tommy Hilfiger, and
Michael Phelps often stop by to receive VIP treatment by Salt Bae himself.
2.
Chloe Unless you've been living under a rock for
the past few years, you've probably already seen thousands of versions of the Chloe meme
all over the Internet.
This photoshop meme is actually a screen capture from a YouTube video of two sisters reacting
to their parents' announcement of a surprise trip to Disneyland.
The video titled "Lily's Disneyland Surprise…AGAIN" was uploaded on YouTube on September 12th,
2013 and it shows Lily breaking into tears of joy after hearing about the Disneyland
trip, while Chloe can be briefly seen on camera with the unimpressed look on her face that
has since become iconic.
The video and the screen grab were shared by millions of social media users and BuzzFeed
even published a post titled "Girl Reacting to Disneyland Is the Only Reaction You'll
Need for Anything Ever."
The original video has since racked up more than 16 millions views and the sisters' YouTube
channel has over 200,000 subscribers.
Lily and Chloe are also big on Instagram where they now have close to 800,000 followers.
In 2017, six-year old Chloe took part in a Google campaign in Sao Paolo, Brazil where
her meme can be seen covering elevators and billboards all over the city.
It seems like Chloe is determined to make the most of her Internet stardom and she's
not planning on leaving the spotlight anytime soon.
1.
Hot Convict No other meme in recent times has triggered
so much Internet buzz like the mugshot of Jeremy Meeks, better known as the Hot Convict.
On June 18th, 2014, the Stockton Police Department Facebook page posted a photo of Meeks after
he was arrested on felony weapons charges.
It didn't take long for social media users to notice just how attractive the blue-eyed
convict was and the photo ended up gaining over 56,000 likes and 16,400 comments in the
first 48 hours alone.
Over the next few days, the mugshot of the photogenic convict was posted on virtually
every major news website and the photo became so popular that Meeks landed a modeling contract
with White Cross Management while still in prison.
After serving his 27 month sentence, Meeks decided to leave his criminal past behind
him and focus on his career in fashion.
The Hot Convict made his runway debut during New York Fashion Week in February 2017, and
has since starred in several successful ad campaigns.
Not only has Meeks' modeling career taken off after his release from prison, but he's
also recently started a new romance with British heiress Chloe Green, the daughter of billionaire
Topshop owner Sir Philip Green.
Not bad for a former gang member and convicted felon!

Did you see what Cristiano Ronaldo did to Edinson Cavani after Uruguay star's injury? - Duration: 2:19.Cristiano Ronaldo helps carry injured Edinson Cavani off the pitch Sat, June 30, 2018 Cristiano Ronaldo showed his compassionate side by helping carry the injured Edinson Cavani off the pitch during Portugal's World Cup Round of 16 clash with Uruguay Play slideshow REUTERS 1 of 9 Cristiano Ronaldo helps Edinson Cavani off the pitch during Portugal's World Cup Round of 16 clash with Uruguay Cristiano Ronaldo demonstrated his sensitive side with a caring gesture towards Edinson Cavani during Portugal's Round of 16 tie against Uruguay
The Paris Saint-Germain striker had put Uruguay ahead early on by bundling Luis Suarez's cross home with his face after just seven minutes
Portugal equalised 10 minutes after half-time through Pepe's header but Cavani restored Uruguay's lead with a sumptuous finish past Fernando Muslera
Ronaldo endured a frustrating evening in Sochi, but was still kind enough to help a limping Cavani off the field after the 31-year-old picked up an injury
While some will suggest Ronaldo was just making sure Cavani wasn't time wasting, the tender care shown by the Real Madrid star in these pictures indicate otherwise

Greek lesson: What is the difference between the verbs ''ακουλουθώ'' and ''παρακολουθώ''? - Duration: 3:13.Hello and welcome to this lesson.
This week we will answer a question from our student, Richard.
As I have told you many times, send us your questions and we will answer them to one of the video lessons as soon as possible.
So, Richard, asked us what the difference is between "παρακολουθώ" and "ακολουθώ".
So let's go see these two verbs.
Well, we start with the verb "παρακολουθώ".
Let's give some examples of using this verb.
For example, we say "Ο Ανδρέας παρακολουθεί τηλεόραση".
This has the meaning of "βλέπω τηλεόραση".
The verb "παρακολουθώ" has of course a little different meaning
because when we use it we want to say that we see something with great care.
Other uses of this verb are "Νιώθω ότι κάποιος με παρακολουθεί τις τελευταίες μέρες"
that is, I feel that someone secretly, without seeing him, follows me and tries to see what I do.
You can also use this verb when "παρακολουθείτε μαθήματα ελληνικών"
or when you ''παρακολουθείτε μαθήματα πιάνου. " It is a very useful verb and I believe you can use it quite a lot.
On the other hand, the verb "ακολουθώ" has a different meaning in some cases but similar in some others.
For example, in the example given above "νιώθω ότι κάποιος με παρακολουθεί τις τελευταίες μέρες"
you can say "νιώθω ότι κάποιος με ακολουθεί τις τελευταίες μέρες".
However, besides this example, the meaning of "ακολουθώ" is different.
Let us give some examples, ''έφυγε από την Ελλάδα και μετά τον ακολούθησε η οικογένειά του"
that is, his family accompanied him.
Another example is "μετά τον χειμώνα ακολουθεί η άνοιξη", that is, something comes after something else.
Also, we can say "η κυβέρνηση ακολουθεί συντηρητική πολιτική αναφορικά με την οικονομία"
meaning that the government is implementing this policy.
That's all for today. I hope that you and all of you now understand the difference between these two verbs.
Thank you very much and we say the other Saturday. Bye.

Family Beach Vacay 2018 | "What a week at the beach house looks like" | - Duration: 5:32.
So, um (pause)
I graduated (college) but this is not the uh
theme of this video.
That will be a whole entirely different video BUT
I say that to say this- that our first day here at the beach house
was the uh day that I graduated, soo
Yeah, you can imagine where my family was...
*points to beach house* Hint.
(I) understand that I cannot uh even compete with the amenities that are here.
And I also realize that a few people don't get the
chance to (random yell from neighbor)
(continues thought) a few people don't get the chance to understand whats "normal"
about the beach house.
So I decided to go ahead and make this video
Complete with footage that was captured during the week
I think that's it
I'm going to go inside now, it is really hot.
(quaint sound of refreshment)
Chase: Oh hey there! Didn't see you there
This is the Ross Family Vacation 2018
*immediate cut for safety's sake to the list*
Family Bonding. Now, this comes about in a variety of ways
Janice: I said that this is what happens in the cartoons- come back here and get in the stove
Nice
Sometimes bonding can happen during a mixture of activities
Pappy: Do you have a remote control with it (the camera)
Jordan: Yeah
Jordan: Learning the rules of the road?
While cleaning shrimp
Or possibly playing UNO with huge cards
It can even happen while communing around the latest catch
And family bonding looks um, well
different for each person
And the one thing that can instantly bring us together
Without fail is undoubtedly
Food
At the Island everyone helps share the load
Some people have their signature dishes
And others
lay back and appreciate the work that others have provided
uh mainly because they haven't come up with
the signature dish just yet
Other activities include
Napping.
This can happen at any time of day but as long as we can see you're breathing
Go ahead.
Stories about last week, last month, last minute
are constantly shared
its amazing how you can watch a conversation jump from story to story
that was simply inspired by say- the mention of a glow stick.
*sigh* Well, if you are watching this it's at the end of the video
And uh, this is gonna be your kinda outro
Uh, suffice to say that each and every beach house experience is different
Whether it be the time, place, or family
Even though I might show you all this video I can't really
fully express - to my chagrin-
what a week at the beach house looks like/ entails
There are just so many moments that uhm
Ya know you're not going to be able to capture but
You'll remember for a long time to come
And I think that's
that's whats really important about the beach house.
So, I hope you enjoyed the video and I will uhm
And I will talk to you later, I will go *finger guns* do something.

What If The Earth Is Like Venus And Mars ? | Secret Of Earth - Duration: 20:50.Minster design extreme weather
Alien landscapes and bizarre phenomena
Is the most complex system we know of in the universe
that planet
Is earth and we are only beginning to unlock its secrets
The planet Earth is a haven for life
Conditions are perfect. I mean, they really are perfect
oceans of liquid water make life possible
But that's not enough a
Complex secret gives earth its life
while hundreds of other known planets fall short
Not a single one of these planets look just like the earth
What makes Earth so perfect
Why does it depend on the moon?
volcanoes
even the planet Jupiter
What puts earth in the ultimate Goldilocks zone?
for life
May 19 2012
In the Arizona desert a 35 year old visitor from Germany is overcome by
105 degree temperatures
The first of two hikers to die this weekend from early season eat
Water makes up 60% of his human body
As little as 2 to 3% decrease in body water can unset the symptoms of dehydration
Humans on earth exists on a knife's edge between life and death
Surviving only in a narrow range of temperatures
So two in the solar system there is only a narrow range in which planets can support complex life
This place not too hot. Not too cold is called
the Goldilocks zone
Estimates put the Goldilocks zone between 67 million and
279 million miles from the Sun
And it's just right for the one thing life seems to need
liquid water
You're not so close that water boils away you're not so far away that water turns to ice perfect Goldilocks
We're in the cow who deserts on the Island of Hawaii
When you look at dry places like this, it really makes you appreciate how vital water is to animals and plants
Hawaii's Big Island is also home to rainforests
waterfalls
Seacoast and even snow-capped mountains where the secrets of life success on earth play out
Among those secrets a recipe for life that needs far more than just liquid water
One of the biggest surprises of the last 20 years
Is the large number of conditions the earth needs to maintain its state as being habitable
Besides Earth's distance from the Sun
life also depends on the planets volcanoes
Its large moon and even the planet Jupiter
Liquid water is important, but that's possible at a wide range of temperatures not all of them good for life
The highest temperature that complex life can live at is very very different from that of microbes
We animals really can't live much above 113 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit
The Na Hoku rainforest on Hawaii is a Goldilocks zone on a Goldilocks planet
There are more species packed around me right now than any other place I could go to
This rainforest and others like it represent the apex of species diversity on planet Earth
The diversity Springs from conditions that are not only wet
But also warm without being too hot
Life likes to be warm 70 to 80 to 90 degrees. That's ideal. That's where you want to be
The Earth's volcanoes hold the secret of the planetary thermostat
If it weren't for these mountains of fire this entire planet would freeze
Thank for watching !
January 3rd 1983
Hawaii's Kilauea volcano begins its longest eruption and recorded history as
lava flows through residential areas
The first homes destroyed there were 16 homes
shortly after that initial eruption a
Vivid reminder of the destructive power of the volcano
The volcano's fury fuels mankind's fear
But the erupting Mountains hold a secret
They are essential to life and play a central role in making Earth a Goldilocks planet
Volcanoes are commonplace in the solar system
They have erupted on Mars
on Jupiter's moon Io and
May number and the thousands of Venus
But unlike other planets Earth's volcanoes are coupled to plate tectonics
the planets method of resurfacing its crust
Earth is the only known planet whose crust actively moves around with many distinct plates
Many scientists now believe plate tectonics is the most important secret other than water in
Making earth just right for life
It all has to do with carbon dioxide
Right now it may be making the planet to war
But life actually needs some of that warming
Without co2 the earth would be very cold
It would be zero degrees Fahrenheit 32 degrees below freezing without that carbon dioxide the entire planet would be a frozen wasteland
The co2 emerges from Earth's volcanoes along with their destructive lava
The essential gas cycles both in and out of the atmosphere
Acting like a thermostat to keep the planet not too hot not too cold
It may be one of the best-kept secrets of Earth's existence a series of interconnected
Reactions that was the entire planet to work a chain of events in which one weak link
Would make life as we know it
impossible
Fiery volcanoes see you unlikely players in the drama that makes earth. So perfect for life
And yet without them the planet would be covered with ice and life would have little chance of success
The secret is in the carbon dioxide that volcanoes supply to the planet's atmosphere
The volcanic vent you see here is one of many in the Hawaiian Islands is from vents like these the carbon dioxide
Comes out of the deep earth and goes into the Earth's atmosphere
As a greenhouse gas co2 turns earth's temperature up
But in doing so it becomes the core component of the planetary thermostat
It is a delicate global balancing act
If the temperature is cool the planet makes carbon dioxide go up so the air gets warmer
If the air gets warmer, the planet makes carbon dioxide go down to turn things cooler
One way a hotter earth make co2 go down as by ramping up the chemical weathering of rocks
Carbon dioxide mixed with rainwater turns into a weak acid that eats away at births rocks
When temperatures go up the process naturally goes faster
The acid reactions absorb carbon dioxide and suck it out of the air
Earth's weathered rocks get help from another process to draw down carbon dioxide in the atmosphere
More heat also speeds up the growth of untold numbers of plants and animals in the ocean
Many of these draw carbon dioxide right out of the air and use it to make their shells
All of these shells slowly sink onto the sea bottom to produce a limestone layer on the sea floor
With both the formation of sea shells and the weathered rocks
carbon dioxide dips down in the atmosphere
Did it goes too far the planet could freeze
So it needs a way to make co2 go back up
That happens deep underwater
In the middle of the ocean massive ridges on the seabed erupt with lava as plate tectonics
drives the motion of the Earth's crust
Making the ocean floor spread apart
Miles away the spreading seafloor crashes into a continental plate
The sea plate dives down into the Earth's interior the limestone melts liberating its carbon dioxide
The carbon dioxide that was set free underground eventually comes out here back where we started at a volcanic vent
So now the earth becomes warmer and the cycle begins again
The finely tuned system has adjusted the atmosphere as carbon dioxide up and down to keep the Goldilocks zone on Earth
intact for billions of years
Plate tectonics
Also makes Earth's land surfaces move
The giant Pacific plate for instance slowly moves to the northwest and carries with it the Big Island of Hawaii. I
Like to think of the ground beneath my feet is stable, but geologically speaking
We're in constant motion right where I'm standing on the mountain of Kilauea. I'm moving 2 to 4 inches a year annually
North-northwest, so if you came back to see me next year I wouldn't be here
I'd be here
When continents move apart species are isolated and evolved into new ones
Life's wild variety grows
The complexity versus eight is an essential survival tool
Especially when earth comes under attack from outer space
The secret ingredients for thriving life abound on planet earth
But its wealth of rich climates is also home to environments on the edge of habitability
One of them is Mauna Kea an inactive volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii
It's an alien landscape home to a dozen giant telescopes
But at high altitude astronomers are working on the margins of the Goldilocks zone for humans
I've been up here at 13 and a half thousand feet many times and sometimes I feel a little bit of altitude sickness
My head isn't working right I feel nauseous
The oxygen content up here is only about 60% that of c-level
Astronomers here have discovered that the recipe for life success on earth
includes many ingredients
from space
The moon
Unusually large for a planet of Earth's size
Has a secret impact on life
It provides stability for Earth's axis of rotation
The pole of the moon's gravity keeps the earth from wobbling uncontrollably
Without our moon we'd be flopping around like a dead fish
This isn't stability life needs two things. It needs conditions to live, but it needs those conditions to exist
Over long periods of time you need conditions to remain very very stable
Having a large moon is part of the secret
The stability also comes from unlikely sources
Many people are astonished to learn that the planet Jupiter 500 million miles away
has a huge effect on life on Earth a
Major impact was a rare event on earth when an asteroid may have wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago
It remains rare today because Jupiter acts as a cosmic vacuum cleaner as the planets overwhelming gravity
grabs comets and asteroids
Sweeping them out of the solar system
Jupiter in our lifetime swept the comet right out of existence shoemaker-levy 9
Went crashing into Jupiter
That particular comet was on an earth crossing orbit. Jupiter sucked it out of existence
If you do not have a gigantic Jupiter the solar system will be full of debris
That would hit the earth all the time. Meaning that life would be impossible
So thank you Jupiter for cleaning out the solar system
Earth's astronomers are now engaged in one of history's greatest quests the
Search for other planets suitable for life
In early 2013 they identified a possible planet more like Earth than any yet found
at
2070 light-years distant it is 1.5 times Earth's mass and orbits within its stars Goldilocks zone
there's thought to be about 50 billion planets in our Milky Way galaxy of which perhaps
500 million are in the habitable zone
But that's not enough
Mars for instance is in the habitable zone
But it's weak gravity and irregular magnetic field left it unable to hold on to most of its atmosphere
Future outgassing might reverse the process. But today it cannot support complex life
It also turns out that the Goldilocks zone for any such planet doesn't last forever
Even Earth's time as a just right planet may run out
sooner than you think
Planet Earth's secret set of special factors make it perfect for life
Most important its place around the Sun in the Goldilocks zone
A planet is set to be in the Goldilocks zone
When it's distanced from the star that it orbits leads to temperatures that allow liquid water
to exist on its surface
But the deepest secret of births goldilocks existence is not one of place and temperature
It is one of time
For complex life to evolve Goldilocks temperatures must remain stable for long periods
We have been in what we call the habitable zone now since the formation of life on Earth at least four billion years ago
and
That depends on the Sun that does not burn out quickly
If the Sun were a gigantic star it would burn his hydrogen very rapidly and only last for maybe a billion years or so
And that's too short to get life off the ground
But even a long-lived star like Earth's Sun changes over time and so does its Goldilocks zone
As our Sun bursts is fuel. In fact, it gives off more and more heat. It's actually going to expand
Although a hotter Sun could incinerate complex life
There's a secret killer that may strike millions perhaps a billion years sooner
Today carbon dioxide is temporarily on the rise making the earth too warm
But in the long term the mechanisms that take it out of the atmosphere will dominate making co2 gradually disappear
We can predict that perhaps it as little as a billion years from now
There will no longer be enough carbon dioxide for plants to undertake photosynthesis when that happens
We very rapidly lose oxygen in our atmosphere and when that happens that spells the end of all animals on planet Earth
But would the increased heat from the Sun result in new Goldilocks zone migrating into more distant parts of the solar system
They could be that Mars will become temporarily habitable
Or maybe one of the moons of Jupiter or Saturn that has an icy crust will have liquid water on its surface
Life's future will be at stake
While microbes may survive the extreme conditions on a superheated earth
Could its intelligent life-forms escape to seek refuge elsewhere?
If identical conditions aren't found will successor worlds be good enough
Can they evolve their own set of factors that have made the success of complex life one of the greatest?
secrets of the earth

English Tutor Nick P Lesson (245) What Is the Difference Between Hobby and Pastime - Duration: 7:57.Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Lesson 245. The title of today's lesson is "What is the
difference between hobby and pastime. " Yeah. These two are close and it's not so much exactly what you're
doing but sometimes it's how you feel about it and what you put into it that
might make the difference between what somebody would think of as their hobby
or what somebody might think as their pastime. Although there are certain things
that's more likely to go in one category than another category. Let's take a look
at the note. A hobby is something you enjoy doing in your spare time, your free
time. One tends to have a lot more enthusiasm about a hobby and will
consistently dedicate a lot of time to it and be more willing to spend money on
it. So in comparison to a pastime, this is true. You definitely are a lot more
excited about it, you tend to do it a lot more often. You tend to do it more
consistently and you know sometimes your the money will come out of your pocket
quicker for your hobby than just a pastime. Let's continue. A pastime is also
something you do in your free time that is pleasant but is more like something
you do to pass the time. You simply make the time go by or a diversion from
boredom. Something that distracts you from the boredom, takes you away from the
boredom. But you may not have as much enthusiasm for it.
Maybe, maybe do something you do with your family to pass the time. It's more
like a pastime. So let's continue. All right. These are, these are things that we,
that's a little more likely to fall in the hobby category. So a hobby could be
something creative like making something, such
as handicrafts, painting, cooking etc. Yeah this you will probably put more time
into because it takes more time to learn how to do these things and as you get
better you will probably have more of a sense of accomplishment so this is this
is more in the hobby category. You're more likely to call this a hobby
especially if you keep it up, especially if you continue to do it. Often and and you
get better at it. You are more likely to be proud of it. If you accomplish
something in this activity. Yeah something like a pastime is you know
watching TV , reading , not necessarily proud of it. Just something everybody
does to pass the time. To let the time go by. Let's continue. A hobby could also be
a collection. Many people tend to put a lot of time hunting down items to add to it.
And as it grows, you may even feel pride. Yeah. People get into a lot of different
collections. It really doesn't matter what type of collection whether it's a comic
book collection, a baseball card collection, a Barbie doll collection,
stamp collection, coin collection. But usually you, you, you consistently go out
and look for more things to add to it or keep your eye open searching for it.
Maybe it's the hunt that helps it along too. But anyway you're more excited about
it. You're more willing to spend money on it. So that you make your collection more
perfect. Yeah. So this is again much more, you're more likely to call this a hobby.
A lot of people are into different collection hobbies. Okay.
A hobby is more likely to possibly turn into a profession. It could be a number of
things. Maybe you play a musical instrument, you know maybe you, if you
really get good enough, maybe you'll consider to possibly try to be a real
musician. Something like that. You know because you
have more enthusiasm , you, you may direct your life more in that in that direction.
Pastime is probably something you don't do consistently, not something that
you're excited about or thinking about well I got to do that. t just like comes up
you do it. But if you. Yeah. You don't do consistently, but you
are willing to do it if the opportunity is about maybe something you do with
your family maybe I don't know playing cards or if you played a video game
together or something like that . Now video games you could have some kids that play
video games all the time it could be like a hobby and then maybe he could
lead to maybe they want to eventually design video games or go into video game
competitions. Then it becomes more like a hobby. You can say that about something
like a chess too. if you just play chess with a family member once in a while I'd
call that a pastime, but if you are somebody that really gets into chess,
where you start joining a lot of competitions and playing people you
don't know, Then this is, this is not a pastime anymore. This is turning into a
hobby. But you're willing to do if the opportunity is available to spend time in a pleasant
way such as reading. It is like reading a book you know if you do it once in a
while then you'd call that a pastime. I don't know though there could be
somebody that's like an avid reader. That reads oh I don't know six, seven,
eight books a month. Then it could be it could be going into a hobby category.
Watching TV and we'd probably pull this in the pastime category, listening to music yeah this is
probably more a pastime. Although if you start turning it
into collection. Like a record collection and you put more time and energy into it,
then, then it could be turning into a hobby. But if you just listen to some
songs you like to hear once in a while, that's a pastime. Playing a board game you
know playing something like monopoly or chess was also a board game. Or any game like that where you
roll dice and you have pieces go around the board. That you probably don't play
all the time, but every now and then you might pull the game out of a closet or
out of a drawer, a drawer and say hey let's play this game. That's more like a
pastime. a board game etc. So basically that's it. So it's not always so much what it is, but
again hobby definitely, more enthusiasm, more time consistently spent on it, more
willing to spend money on it, more having more of a sense of accomplishment or
pride, it's more likely to be a hobby. Just something you do that's there. Like
yeah, this sounds interesting. I got nothing else to do. This is pretty good.
This is more like a pastime. That's it, Okay. Anyway, I hope you got it . I hope it's clear . Thank
you for your time. Bye-bye.

Mascherano has retired from Argentina duty - here's what Messi is set to do [Mirror] - Duration: 4:21.Football News24/7 Argentina crashed out of the World Cup on Saturday after a thrilling 4-3 defeat to France in the Round of 16
La Albiceleste led at one stage through Gabriel Mercado's 48th-minute goal, but in the end, they simply couldn't contain the phenomenal Kylian Mbappe
As is often the case at the end of a disappointing campaign, many players' futures at international level are questioned and debated
When Italy failed to qualify for this World Cup, Gianluigi Buffon, Daniele de Rossi and more called time on their national team careers, and we may see something similar again
Jorge Sampaoli is under immense pressure, Javier Mascherano and Lucas Biglia have already retired from Argentina duty, but what Lionel Messi? Mascherano retires from international football Shortly after the France loss, Mascherano told reporters, via 101greatgoals: "This story comes to an end
We gave everything until the final (whistle)." The 34-year-old, who moved to China in January, added: "Now, I'm just another fan of the Argentina team
Hopefully, in the future, these kids will be able to accomplish something." What about Messi? The Mirror have reported that Leo Messi is set to retire and walk away from international football now too, without a major championship to his name
The magical forward's hat-trick against Ecuador fired his country to Russia, where he bagged a goal and two assists in four matches
In addition to the heartbreak of losing the 2014 World Cup final to Germany, Messi has also suffered three Copa America final defeats
Things are still very fresh, and it's worth remembering that Argentina's all-time top scorer reversed his decision to retire from national duty back in 2016
While Mascherano's retirement is somewhat understandable, the world would love to see Messi to continue to represent Argentina beyond this World Cup
When are Messi's next chances of success? A Copa America will take place in Brazil next summer, with another one in 2020, but by the time the next World Cup in Qatar rolls around at the end of 2022, Messi will be 35-years-old
That said, surely the ability to lead Argentina to glory in 2019 should inspire the Barcelona icon to stay on for at least a little while yet, as well as inevitable changes
Things could be very different for Messi if Sampaoli improves his decision-making and the team is built around young stars like Giovani Lo Celso, Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi
Do YOU think Leo Messi should retire from international football now, or continue at least until the 2019 Copa America? Have YOUR say in the comments box below! Do YOU want to write for GiveMeSport? Get started today by signing-up and submitting an article HERE: https://www
