hello hi everybody welcome to my live mini training today I'm really excited

to offer you this training today we're going to be talking about the difference

between a Facebook page and a Facebook group and how you can be using them in

your business to grow your business so like I said I'm really excited to offer

you this training today because I know there's a lot of confusion around what

all the different things we can have on Facebook are and what makes sense for us

to use them in our business what's going to to help us the most in our business

you know are we using these things the right way and in the I don't know the

most profitable way in our business is right and so just really quick before we

dig into a Facebook page and a Facebook group let's also talk about your

personal profile because it's worth a mention and these are the three things

that you can have on Facebook and I want to clear them all up so that you

understand exactly what the intended use of each one of them are as far as

Facebook is concerned anyway so your personal profile this is another

question that comes up a lot is should you do business from your personal

profile and Facebook doesn't want you to that's why you have a personal profile

so your personal profile is meant to be for you as an individual to connect with

your friends family and community right now that doesn't mean you can't do

business from your personal profile it's just that if you do too much business

from your personal profile you will get flagged by Facebook and you can get

thrown in facebook jail where your profile is temporary shut temp temp or

rarely shut down for a little while and you don't want that so if you decide

to use your personal profile and do any business on there or posting about your

business just make sure you're following that 8020 rule so that you aren't

violating Facebook's policies about your profile okay

so now that we've got that out of the way what is really intended for your

business is a page and a group so those are the other two pieces that if you are

an entrepreneur online you want to have a page in a group and this causes a lot

of confusion because groups have only recently really started to take off and

a lot of people used to do business from their page alone so there are some

previous strategies that only involved your facebook business page that no

longer work because Facebook updated the algorithm right if you don't know about

this there was a lot of buzz sometime basically over the last year that

they've been adjusting the algorithm and that's really changed how these two

things work so if you go to the Facebook fa Q's they give a really great example

of the difference between the two so I'm going to tell you what they say and then

we're going to go into it a little bit more too so Facebook tells you that the

difference between a page and a group is this so a page is the official page for

a business entity so I think the example they gave was for a band so let's say

the Beatles you know everybody knows the Beatles so the Beatles might have an

official business page and that represent represents them as a business

but then if you are a fan you can start a fan club which would be a group but

you are not an official business you're just starting a fan club group for

people who want to connect and talk about the Beatles so I thought that was

a really great example just to kind of initially define the two and it also

helps to see that there's kind of a similar way of doing business online

that there is offline so the way I like to give analogies so that we can

understand things better and I think that a Facebook the best analogy I can

give or some offline business analogies to understand how the Facebook page and

group work together online it's not all that different than how you might do

business offline so your facebook business page is like your storefront so

it's where people will see the name of your business and a tagline or what your

business has to offer and they can see business hours any

special offers you know if they can window shop and kind of see inside the

window of your business and what it's all about but it's not actually inside

your business but it's not actually working with you directly so it's just

your storefront letting everybody know that you are a business what your

services are what you can do for them how they can reach you now like I said

Facebook changed the algorithm so people were using their Facebook business page

to do a lot more of growing a following and reaching out to their audience but

once that algorithm changed Facebook took the reach of your posts from your

facebook business page and made them basically non-existent so even if

somebody has liked and followed your business page they are not going to be

seeing posts from your page very often if at all they really want your facebook

business page to just be that representative of you as a business

hopefully that helps clear that up because I know that previously a lot of

people were doing business from their page completely differently but it has

changed so if you can look at it as your storefront where people come to learn

about you and your business but it's not where you're doing business or where

you're growing an audience or building a following then hopefully that clears

that up alone right so people generally are gonna land on your facebook business

page are gonna be people who are exploring you and what you're all about

so my little tip when it comes to facebook business pages is make sure you

have it optimized so that you make it very easy for them to learn about you

when they land on it have a very clear you know statement on your cover banner

about what your business is and how you help people and then how they can work

with you further to so they give us great like call-to-action buttons you

can pin post you can create post on your page that talked about the services that

you offer so that's the kind of stuff you want to be using your business page

for so over in a group this is where we get the opportunity to create a

community environment so like facebook said this might be like a fan club for

the Beatles but this is also like seeing inside your business as a business owner

online so what is it like to work with you and so if you're creating a group

this is a really great strategy to create that warm audience or that

following online so your page is no longer good for that but a group is a

group is not the only way to warm up an audience but it's within Facebook and

Facebook Likes when you stay within Facebook so I highly suggest creating a

group community but when you create a group as a business owner online it

automatically establishes you as the expert or the authority within that

group too you are the leader so when you're doing business that's really in

your favor because you're automatically building know like and trust with your

audience as a group leader so just remember that your group is needs to

have a specific common thread so if you have a specific niche that you're in or

a common interest amongst your target audience that's what you want to create

a group about so now everybody coming in is going to have a common interest like

I said and it's going to feel connected just from that interest alone so that's

how you get that community feel within your group one other distinction to make

here is that what you post in your group is private to only those group members

so remember this is not about going out and getting cold traffic to start to get

to know you this is where you bring them in and you start to build that

relationship and warm them up to working with you over on your page it is public

posts but just remember again that Reach is really not going to reach a lot of

public a lot but exactly the posts aren't going to get out publicly a lot

so that's another big difference between the two is what goes on your page is

public and your group is private but that's what allows groups to really

thrive and be a great opportunity for you as a business owner to build those

relationships um this is where people might say that you can like build your

own tribe too within that group so I hope that clears up some of those main

differences but now I want to kind of talk a little bit about

regi with the two because one thing that I like to do now that your page is more

of your storefront and your group is more of what it's like inside your

business how do you use these to really like help your business online right so

like I already said with your Facebook page make sure it's optimized so that

when they land on your page when somebody says okay you know like you're

watching my video and you want to go learn more about me you can go over to

my page and check me out where I have a cover photo of me so that I can

immediately show them who I am and start building that know like and trust

just with recognizing me and I have an I help statement on my cover photo too so

I help women entrepreneurs build successful businesses you know so make

sure that when people see that cover photo they know exactly who you are what

you do and how you help them because that's your that's your first

opportunity to get them to stay with you and maybe start digging around on your

Facebook page to learn more right so you don't want to lose them make sure that

cover photo is really strong and that your photo is in as many places as you

can to so that you start building that relationship right away so you're trying

to capture this cold traffic's attention on your Facebook page it would be nice

for them to like and follow your page just for social proof or you know social

status online you know you don't need a lot of followers on your page that

really doesn't matter all it does is give you a little bit of social proof so

going for likes on your page is only going to give you that so just remember

that and remember I'm sure that there's some people out there teaching different

strategies because the page used to be used differently so when the algorithm

changed all of this changed alright so you've got a couple other opportunities

to keep them with you on your business page and that is in your About section

that's one of the most visited sections on your page so remember this is cold

traffic they're coming to learn about you and what you have to offer so

they're gonna dig a little bit and they're gonna see what you're all about

so complete that About section as much as you can you can add description you

can add hours you can add links to websites you can add a phone number and

email things like that so fill and make sure you give them as much as

you can you can add personal interests and hobbies and things like that too

so another great section that they give us on our Facebook business page is my

story and it pops up right away so it will capture their attention and you can

add a photo of you again and I like to put links in here to anything I have

going on so if I'm offering a webinar training or if I'm promoting a course or

a program I'll put it in my story or if I'm promoting my group I'll put a link

to join my group in that story as well so these are things again you've got you

know people have short attention spans so they land on your page capture their

attention and even if it feels repetitive to you keep putting your

message in front of them as many times as you can on your page it's your

storefront and you want them to stop and you want them to check you out and come

peek into your store windows right and see what you're all about and you want

to entice them to come in and shop with you

so another thing on your facebook business page it's really important is

to configure your call to action button that's right under your cover photo so

Facebook gives us this great tool and you can pick from all kinds of different

options to give them a call to action and since your Facebook page doesn't get

a lot of great reach if that person is on your page you want to capture them

you don't want them to never see you again

right so you want to take them somewhere else with you and your business where

you can warm them up so that call to action can be anything that you want it

to be I suggest a group if you link your group to your page you can create a

button that says visit my group and they'll take them right over into your

group where then you can start building that relationship if you're not going to

build a group or maybe you're not ready to build a group or you have some other

promotion in your business that's going on then you can make that button

anything you want it to be it can be a learn more button to link to a landing

page where you're offering a freebie or a landing page where you're offering a

free webinar or it can be a book a call button you know call me now and go

straight to booking a call to working with you so

it can be all kinds of different options but it's great that we have that call to

action so that when somebody lands on our page we can capture their interest

right away but then take us take them with us further into our business so

like I said I really believe in the group because it's within Facebook you

get to be the leader of a community you get to establish yourself as an expert

right away which is building that know like and trust really fast with somebody

that you just met and community is great I think that's one of Facebook's you

know ultimate missions is to you know change the way we communicate but

bringing us to get but by bringing us together as a community as well online

so I think that most people want to be a part of something that they feel

connected to so it's pretty awesome is online business owners to be able to

create a community that is tied together by a common thread where people can come

together and feel you know connected to each other so I give kudos to Facebook

for giving us the opportunity to create groups and I know that it can seem scary

to lead a group at first but if you really you know stay grounded and don't

get wrapped up in the like what should I be posting within a group and just

really say what do my people want to talk about and if you're one of your

people you know what you want to talk about then you'll be able to create an

engaging group you know asking questions that are questions that either you have

and you want the answer to or personal questions to just get to know the people

within your group people love to talk about themselves so don't ever forget

that you can really easily lead a very engaged Facebook group so don't let your

fears about what would I say stop you from creating a group and another fear

that I hear a lot of people say is well I just don't know if I have the time to

lead a group community you know quite honestly a lot of people when they're

starting their online business or doing it along a full-time job or you know

maybe you're a full-time mother and you have a lot of kids and you're busy

whatever it might be you think that the time commitment might be overwhelming

and it doesn't have to be either you just have to have a consistent strategy

for posting and maybe all that is is one simple post everything

day or maybe it supposed every other day but whatever it is it's something that

you can keep up with consistently talking about you know what interests

you because your people should have a common interest to you as well

and try to get to know the people within your group you know make it personal

those are some really simple rules to follow to create an engaging group and

as business owners running our business online we want to we want to warm people

up to working with us because taking them from told to a client is near

impossible and so having that warmup process be within a group is an amazing

free and easy way to create that warm audience so alright well hopefully this

was helpful today I know that this is a really confusing

topic so the really simple recap of this is that a Facebook page it's public but

you're not gonna get a lot of reach so remember that that's your storefront

where you are letting everybody know as they find you on Facebook you know they

come across you and they want to check you out that you're telling them

everything you can as quickly and as simply and consistently as you can on

your Facebook page but it's not a great idea anymore to do a lot of warming up

of an audience on your facebook business page because that reach just isn't going

to happen so you want to take them from your page over to somewhere else where

you can warm them up build that know like and trust so that they are ready to

take those next step with you they're ready and they're comfortable to take

the next step and doing that within a group is an awesome and amazing

opportunity that facebook gives us to create a community and to be the leader

of that community within Facebook so it's free it's easy and doesn't require

a lot of time or you know crazy posting strategy just need to be real and be

yourself in there and talk about what you want to talk about so and that

Facebook group is private so that does help create that community feel to where

people feel a little more comfortable posting and is a great way like I said

to build that warm audience so anyway I hope that this helps

if it didn't or if I've left you with more questions than answers please let

me know I would love to answer any questions but this if this was helpful

let me know to say you know give me a thank you give me a like say hello tell

me where you're from and like I said I'll answer any more

questions if you have any about how to use a page and a group successfully to

you know market your services in your business online so take care everybody

have a great day and I'll talk to you soon bye

English Tutor Nick P Lesson (244) The Difference Between Degree and Diploma - Duration: 3:58.

Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Lesson 244. Today we are going to look at the difference between degree and diploma.

Yeah. Sometimes students will ask , well what's the difference between two ? And to

be honest sometimes they almost seem like they're interchangeable because

technically you need to have your diploma to prove that you have a degree.

But there is clear differences between them. So let's take a look at the note here.

The degree is the award given to a student for completing all the required

courses of study at a university or college. It proves you have earned the

required number of credits to deserve the award. Okay a diploma is a document

proving that someone has completed one's requirements to graduate from an

educational institution. Okay. So remember the diploma is the document. It's the actual

piece of paper that proves that you have finished all your requirements for this

particular school. Okay. Let's go on here. You can get a diploma from all levels,

elementary school, high school , or college. Okay so diploma you can get for all three. But

you do not get an elementary degree and you do not get a high school degree. So

you can only get a degree for your you know college or university level. Let's

continue here. That's just what this says. A degree is only for college or university.

The main difference between these two words,

especially at college level is that diploma is only the document to prove

the degree . If you lose your college diploma, you do not lose your degree. You

still have your degree the the diploma is only the piece of paper that proves

it. You can simply pay a fee for your college,

college or university to send another diploma. So once you got your degree

chances are, you you shouldn't be able to ever learn it , to ever lose it . I think the

only way you could possibly lose it is if somebody can prove you cheated to get

it or something. But no hopefully if you got your degree you will never lose it.

But you could lose the diploma you could misplace that document that piece of

paper but you could always get that piece of paper back again. You know, you

can have them make another copy or get another original for you. You'll have to

pay some money but you know the records are there, and you should be able to do

it. No problem. All right Let's look at some

examples here. The first example is Jack got a degree in accounting. All right. That's

another thing to the degree we usually say you've got a degree in something,

meaning you majored in something. So you don't get a diploma in something. The Diploma is the

document. So again only in university level you get a degree in whatever it is

that was your major in college or university. All right. Let's look at the second

example. That job requires a high school diploma . Now of course that they want to

see the diploma just to simply prove that you finished all the courses that

you've actually graduated from high school. So that's basically the

difference. But you know, sometimes, like I said they are used so interchangeably,

that sometimes it could be confusing for students and sometimes they can't

clearly see the difference. All right, So I hope this video was informative and I

hope you can clearly see the difference between the two. Anyway, Thank you for

your time. Bye-bye.

Explaining The Difference Between Hearing and Deaf Eyesight & Emergency Eyeglasses Tips! - Duration: 1:54.

Did you know that, when it comes to glasses and their visibility,

there's a huge difference between Deaf and Hearing ones?

I'll tell you why.

I've measured this eye, do you see the blue line?

See where the line is placed?

That's an eye of a Deaf person.

Why's that? I'll show you another picture.

This indicates a limited vision.

The peripheral vision is blurry.

This isn't Deaf friendly.

This is what a Deaf friendly vision looks like.

Now you've seen the difference between the

first and second sample.

In the first one, it is limited where each sides of

the eyes are blurry. This isn't Deaf friendly.

They'd have to move their head to see.

I always recommend that they widen the sight line so they get

a 180 degree vision.

For example, I can see you with my eyeglasses while

I rotate my body instead of my head.

Do you see that?

This is Deaf friendly and it's VERY comfortable.

I always believe in making the best quality eyeglasses.

Do you see these glasses?

I cannot see clearly without these glasses.

I call these emergency glasses meaning...suppose I lose them

and I look for them, but I cannot see them.

What do I do?

I can see by doing this: using both hands, press your index

finger onto your thumb then place each hands together at the

fingers to create a small gap. Bring the gap up to your pupil.

Or Curl up your index finger creating a small hole.

You can see through this gap. This is for temporary

purposes, like reading, if you need to.

It's a pretty neat tip, right?

The Difference Between Being Empathetic and Apologizing - Duration: 1:42.

When using empathy in your practice, one of the first things that people want to

do is apologize for everything. There's a difference between apologizing and being

empathetic. When you're empathetic, if an incident occurs the first response is to

say that you're sorry — to relate to your client. More than likely you are

just as affected as your client is that something went wrong.

The problem often is jumping into apologies too early, and the difference

between being empathetic and an apology is, empathy you say, "I'm sorry this

happened." In an apology, there's two extra parts that show up. You say, "I'm

sorry," the second step is you admit that it was your fault and then the third step

is you find out what you can do about it and you assist your client in solving

the problem. Veterinarians often are much too eager to say, "It's my fault," before they

find out if it really is their fault. So, a structured system for developing

apologies is a great tool. Having a pre-planned script tends not to work as

well. One of the things that clients are looking for in in their

apology in addition to compassion and understanding that they've been

injured is honesty. And if it comes across as pre-scripted or

pre-planned, an apology tends to lack that honesty, and it

actually can do more harm than good.
