Why do I not sign?! - Duration: 7:00.

Hey everybody, hope y'all doing great today

Now we're going to talk about why I do not sign at all

and this is a response to the two deaf youtubers

and these are the two names right here

Also I've attached their videos

up here in the card and down in the description box

so you can check them out

and I mean to tell you this: they're awesome

The first name: she signs 100%

The second one is a 50/50 between spoken English and signing

they're awesome

Anyway

the reason why I do not sign at all

I was born to a hearing family

and have been mainstreamed from the get-go

I've been in mainstream school since I was one year old

so I've been in school for very long time

you betcha by high school, I was ready to go, I was ready to graduate

Why not learn ASL on your own?

Good question

The school that I went to

they

focused mostly on speech therapy and hearing training

I guess

with whatever hearing devices that we have

such as cochlear implant, hearing aids, Baha which is bone conduction

What else?

I think that's it

I want to say that there's more but I'm not 100% sure

Anyway because they focus on speech therapy and hearing training

they do not want us

to use sign language on the school grounds

Believe me, I've tried

but I got in trouble

Don't tell Dad, don't tell Dad

I think he already knows

I don't know

I'm just saying

don't

they don't allow it

even though I've been practicing

in "secret"

since I was 12 years old

I'm nowhere near fluent

Don't worry, I'm changing that

I've been changing that since 2015

and I'm going to take it very seriously

starting in July and August

so that in August

I will jump back into ASL video

so excited

just remember, last Saturday of August will be an ASL

Yay

I'm so excited, I'm so sorry if you can't tell

Anyway to bring that up together, I agree with Rikki

that you should use a language that you're most comfortable with

in my case, I've been using spoken English

for 28 years; yes, I'm 28 years old

I know I'm old, I'm old

but I've been using ASL

technically

sixteen years

but realistically

three years

I kinda stopped learning sign language

like high school area

I think that's when I basically stopped

and then I started picking back up in college but

I was more focused on my education

don't blame me, I need my degree, I have a bachelors degree

Can you believe that? I have a bachelor's degree and I'm going back for a doctorate

I'm so crazy

Anyway

you should use a language that you're most comfortable with

and I know in my ASL videos, they're probably so dead wrong especially when I'm translating

but I translated it the way I wanted because I want to make sure I get the point across

and I try to put a disclaimer

saying I'm not a fluent signer of whatsoever

do not learn from me

I will give you resources

but don't learn from me, I'm horrible

Anyway that's all I'm trying to say

and this is my story given to you as to why I do not sign

even though I would love to sign 100% on this channel

but it's not going to happen

especially when I'm talking about a topic that is serious or I'm

pretty passionate about

I will use spoken English

if it's just silly stuff or not that serious that

wrong information is given out

it'll be in ASL

I'm, I'm just saying

I'm just being realistic here

All right guys, this is all I had for you today

if you have any questions, doesn't matter it's about deaf life, deaf culture or life in general

please drop them in the comment below

and if you found this video enlightening

please press like down here

if you don't like the fact that I don't sign 100%

go ahead and hit that dislike button

See if I care

Ha!

Anyway I sure hope that I'll see you next Saturday

Bye

Why Are Americans Not Crazy About The World Cup? - Duration: 6:43.

Hi everyone! I'm Lauren from Peas in a Pod! And it's finally the World Cup!

Yay?

So I know that the World Cup is really important to a lot of people.

And they take a lot of national pride in it and people get really excited about it and really into it!

Um, so just for an example a couple days ago at work

I was talking to one of my co-workers and she was watching the game

on her computer while she was working.

So then I ask, "Oh, how's America doing?"

So that was a little bit awkward when she just kind of looked at me was like, "Oh... America didn't make it..."

And that kinda just demonstrates how little I know about the World Cup and I think sort of how little most

Americans know about the World Cup, it's not something that's....you know, really on our periphery.

But I know that a lot of people are really confused as to why Americans just aren't into it.

Soccer really isn't an '"American Made" sport.

So what I mean by that is that Americans like to have a sense of ownership

in the sports that are really big in our country. So baseball, football, basketball...

Like these aren't sports that we necessarily Invented, but they are sports that

we've kind of modified into the modern version that they are now.

And we don't really have that connection with soccer. Soccer came up completely independently of Americans.

So there isn't that, you know, that cultural connection.

There isn't that history behind it. And I think that's part of the reason why

Americans kind of feel disconnected from soccer in general.

Soccer tends to be kinda slow.

Ha!

Ha!

Ha!

So you can go the entire match and it might end in a tie or it might end,

you know, zero to one and it just seems like a lot of time and energy being invested in watching a game where

the winning score might literally just be one point. So I think Americans don't really have the patience for that.

And I think that that's part of the reason why Americans just aren't really into soccer.

There aren't really any big American soccer stars.

So, you know, famous athletes like Babe Ruth or Michael Jordan. Now, I don't like baseball. I don't like basketball

But I know who both of those people are, you know, I would recognize them in a picture.

I would be able to tell you random facts about their lives and that's just from, you know, being an American

living here in the culture. You kind of pick up those things because those people

are kind of legends. You know, they're larger than life.

And we just don't have any soccer stars that have quite reached that. So maybe one day.

You know, maybe if we have a soccer star who is just amazing

Maybe they'll be able to kind of energize American soccer fans,

but at the moment we just don't have the star power.

One thing that you see in soccer a lot is people will fake injuries.

Faking injuries is something that I think doesn't really.... I think a lot of Americans just don't like it.

And I think part of it is because we do have a lot of really heavy contact sports.

So we have American football. We have hockey.

And these are sports that if people get hurt they are seriously hurt. It's not something that you fake.

And I think that it annoys Americans when, you know, the referee has to spend a lot of time

and slow down the entire game because someone is faking an injury, when in reality they're completely fine.

A really big reason why Americans aren't into soccer is that we're not very good at it.

Um as,

you know, shown by the fact that we didn't even make it into the World Cup this year. So yeah Americans

tend to really like to win things and we don't really win at soccer

Or at least the men don't win at soccer because, when it comes to women's soccer,

Americans are crushing it!

The women's soccer team is the most successful women's team internationally.

We have four gold medals and three World Cups!

Unfortunately, they don't really get, you know, the attention that they deserve

or the respect that they deserve.

So I've just spent a lot of time explaining why soccer isn't popular in America, but having said that,

soccer is more popular in America now than at any other point in American history.

Also America has put in a joint bid to host the 2022

20.....22....

World Cup with Canada and Mexico.

So maybe if America hosts it they will kind of start to pay more attention to the World Cup

and maybe you'll see some real energy from American fans.

So I hope that this video has helped to explain why Americans aren't

all that enthusiastic about the World Cup.

But please don't let that discourage you from talking to your American friends about the World Cup!

At the very least we will enjoy your enthusiasm for the game.

PepperMinute: Be clear why they will buy from you - Duration: 1:19.

Do you know I was talking with somebody recently who is very successful and one

of the key attributes they believe is that they finally understood why people

bought from them. For ages they you know they were hit and miss as a lot of

people are with selling something. Sometimes they won and sometimes they

lost and they always thought it was down to the product or the service

and all that sort of stuff. He said I realised what it is that people buy and

I've realised they buy me, more importantly they buy the value set I

provide from the business that I am in front of - which is a family business of

course. I totally agree with it, family businesses have got an edge and

that edge is that they promote their own family values and people more and more

and more are buying into values. They don't want to deal with a faceless

corporate entity. They want to deal with people who have true values and family

businesses are brilliant for that so my suggestion to you is to understand why

people buy from you. It's probably to do with the values of your business and of

you as an individual.

Why can't we get out of debt? Why do we pay tax on our property that we own? - Duration: 9:10.

Hello, my name is David John Jeffery. I'm the writer, director and producer of the

film, G.O.D.TECH. The reason why I'm coming to you today is I'd like to discuss

wealth, money, land and riches. It reminds me of a scripture in the Bible that says

forgive us of our debts as we forgive our debtors.

Debtors being people that we owe money to. If you have a house and you owe the

mortgage company money for that house because you took the house out on a mortgage

and the mortgage company wants you to make the payments and you don't have the

money to make those payments, they can come and take away your home because the

mortgage company owns the house until you pay off that mortgage. If you can't

make the payments then they can repossess the home, sell the home and

take the money out of the sale. What if you lend someone a thousand

pounds and they go and they buy a car and you want to charge back the money in

interest and they can't make those payments? You can take back their car as

collateral for the payments that they can't make. That's how the economy works.

So you think to yourself, okay, what if I buy the house outright without

a mortgage? Great! So you now own the house. Why is it you have to pay council

tax? Do you know why? Because you don't own the land that house is sitting on.

It's owned by the council and the council has claimed ownership of the property,

because of the land it's on. Now if the council decides to reclaim the land, at

any time, who knows? Do you lose the house? Do you have to sell the house? Do you

gain anything out of this? You wont have to pay council tax any more, so that's a bonus!

I'm not quite sure where that sits. I'm sure there's a legal person out there that

can tell me. But the thing that bothers me more than anything in this whole

thing is about the owing of money to debt. Now you might notice in every country in

the world every bank note has at the top, I owe the bearer the sum of whatever money, so

ten pounds, twenty pounds, whatever, $200, if you had a 200 dollar bill. You don't but if you did it would

say I owe the bearer the sum of $200.

Who's the bearer? The person you're paying the IOU to because every single

slip of money is an IOU to the bank. So the Bank of England. You're owing the

Bank of England money. Why would you owe the money? You don't take that any loans with

them? They loaned you the money to use as currency in the form of payment. So

when you can paid with your wages, you go to the bank, they give you a bunch of

pieces of paper and in some places, pieces of plastic and coins. And those plastic

coins and paper equal the value of what they've just loaned you from the money

which you got paid. Get your head around that one. I'll let you think about that

for a second then you can go back and re-listen to that. Now if you owe someone

money, why do you owe them money if you haven't

actually taken out a loan? Well every single time you work, you're working for

money which is loaned from somebody else to the Bank of England. This is where it

gets complicated. So, many years ago there was a stack of gold owned by the Federal

Reserve Bank which is a privately owned bank from the family Rothschild and that

privately owned bank had a stack of gold and the government of its day, the government

in America, and the government's in the International countries said we would

like you to loan us some gold and they were, like, okay, we'll lend you the gold but

you're going to pay it back to us on interest. So every bit of gold that was

loaned out then had to be paid back to them in interest but it couldn't be paid

back to them in IOUs. It had to be paid back to them in gold.

So they've sent an IOU saying to the bank

and said, you owe us so many billions of currency in gold, so many grams of

gold, or pounds of gold and you owe us that money

and that money needs to be paid back to us but for now, everyone who builds with

this money that's been loaned to you... Every time... Basically, every note is an

IOU to the government and not just an IOU to the government, but every

single note is not currency. If you think about it,

if someone has loaned someone money and then they loan you money, you owe the

person who originally loaned the money because you pay it back to them and they

pay it back to them. But if they run into debt, they'll pull you for the money.

So if person A lends person B money and they then give that money to person C,

person C owes it to person A but personally B will be strangled by

person A for the money and then person B will be running to person C saying, come

on, where's my money? And it just goes on. Now, who owns whatever they buy for

person C? Well person B will own person C's, whatever they spent the money on,

but person A will also own it from person B. So person A now owns

everything that person C bought with the money that's been loaned across.

That makes sense doesn't it? So if the Rothschild's loan the Bank of England a

stack of money and the Bank of England starts paying it back and let's

say they pay it all back but they owe more money because they owe them the

interest. Now the interest is being owed, so now the Bank of England prints off loads

of IOUs and sends them to everyone in the country who are dealing in these IOUs

but they're not dealing with actual currency. So the IOUs are being

passed around but everything that is being passed around and bought with

those IOUs is actually owned by Federal Reserve Bank. So, at any point,

they could call in the loan and own everything. So your house, which was paid

for with cash, with cash that said IOU on it, that house is now owned by the

Rothschilds. If they want to call in the loan, at the moment it's owned by the

bank because of the paper cash with an IOU. It's

not yours. None of it's yours. The shirt on your

back isn't yours. It's an IOU which you now owe to the bank, which the bank owes

to the Rothschilds and the Federal Reserve Bank, which owns everything and

that's how it works. If you managed to follow me through all that it'll make

perfect sense to you. So forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

The debtors, the Federal Reserve Bank, the Rothschilds who own everything.

We're asking God to forgive us of taking money from them. Now, at the

moment, it's paper money but when it goes digital it's gonna be impossible for us to

then pay it back because there's no gold anymore. The only way you can pay back a

loan like that yourself is to pay back in gold. Not in pieces of

paper. Paper can fly everywhere and card can fly everywhere but gold is the

strong currency that was lent out in the first place, that created all of this, but

the majority of the gold is it Federal Reserve Bank

Thank you for watching. I really hope that you got something out of this. Don't

panic about the money. Just think to yourself, how can I make a difference? How can we

stand up against this system that is controlling everything? There must be a

way and I'm certain if we all band together and we get the word out there,

and enough people rise up, we will actually be able to make a difference in this

world. Thank you for listening. Please subscribe if you'd like a notification
