'So what's your sign?'

That's turnoff for me.

It kind of really affects how we communicate with each other.

I'm a firm believer of the stars.

A lot of factors can influence on your love life–

Location, work, family...

but what about your astrological sign?

Many people read their horoscopes everyday

while others think horoscopes are just a load of hooey.

So, with Mars recently going in retrograde,

I decided to go out and ask people

what they think about love being written in the stars.

This is Love, Lindsay Investigates and let's get into it.

What's your sign?

Virgo.

And so, has astrology had any effect on your dating life?

I would say no.

I kind of just read it, and then glance at it, then forget what I just read.

You know, I don't really use it in our relationship.

Would you ever date someone who is really into astrology if it's big thing for them?

I don't think it would bother me as much until they started saying

'Oh, you're acting this way because it's like the way the Mars is close to the moon.'

I think that I would be like 'Ok, this is getting a little out of hand.'

Someone refused to date me because I was a Libra.

Really?

Yeah because had a bad experience with the past Libra.

There was one girl who was into taro cards and all that stuff

so everything like every action I did, every time I reacted to the situations

'Oh, here's your Libra coming out.'

It was something like that, you know.

I was telling her it's not the Libra thing, that's just like how I was raised.

It's who I am.

Because I have family who are also Libras but we are totally the opposite, you know?

So it doesn't make sense to me.

I grew up in Colombia. It's a country that people believe so much about all the astrology.

They read every day and they would see what is there for the day, the number, the rookie

whatever the doctrines

but it never affected my relationship. No, never affected.

One of those things that I was never drawn to and never rang true to me

although I'm dating the Capricorn so it's come up at least once.

So that we've talked about Capricorns

but none of us really knows what that means.

I've heard that Capricorns are head strong?

My boyfriend gets very skeptical of things like this like a label.

So if I were to be like 'This is very Capricorn of you.'

He would be like 'Don't put me in the box!'

'I'm capable of change.'

I'm a Leo but To Taurus rising.

I was actually born at 12 am sharp.

Really?

On August 18th.

Has astrology had affected on your dating life at all?

Oh yea, for sure.

Most of the Aeries that I've ever met,

they were sexually attractive and compatible but

everything else wasn't since we were both fire signs

we wanted to be on top of each other meaning we wanted to be the boss.

It never worked out. It literally never ever worked out.

Do you deep into their charts?

Yea, I ask for their birthdays.

I have found that it doesn't really make a difference

so I would just not pay attention to it– it's like a fun thing to do on the side.

I wouldn't break up with someone because of it.

I didn't want to have that affect on my relationship,

but when you do like get in to describe someone

'Oh, that's why.'

But we also just like look up our compatibility chart and 'Oh, nope. That's ok, it's fine.

we don't have to be exactly textbook.' And we just continue that what we're doing.
