Hospitality, biblically speaking means love of the stranger so it

transliterates from a Greek word philoxenia.

So what hospitality is not is fellowship and there's nothing

wrong with fellowship, we love fellowship.

We love having our friends over who think the way we do and

they're safe and we can just catch up right where we left off

but that's not actually hospitality, hospitality has the

stranger in mind because we were once strangers to the Lord.

So that's what hospitality is, radically ordinary hospitality

is a way of life that sees every day as an opportunity to

practice hospitality from right where you are.

So you don't actually have to be somebody else to do this, you

have to be you.

You know hospitality it's a universal command uniquely

applied and I think that we all need to think about how we're

all needed in this.

There's only one you and you will apply this differently than

I will and that's OK but nobody gets a free pass, you don't get

to not ever practice hospitality.

Now there are seasons when we're going to ebb and flow but if

it's a lifestyle of refusal that's called sin.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order what we know so far (a Star Wars Game that isn't cancelled for once) - Duration: 2:51.

So after knowing that the previous Star Wars game was cancelled by our beloved EA (cough)

We finally now DO get a star wars game that seems to look interesting from the details

that I have read about so far.

I actually never knew they kinda dropped a bit of hints somewhere last year, but here

I am, talking about it now, well at least it's something right gamers?

So yes, I am excited about a new Star Wars game, after the cancellation of Star Wars

1313 a few years back which looked kinda like a Space Uncharted-ish sort of game which I

was really stoked for until they cancelled it because Dinsney bought LucasArts and all,

I have been waiting since that time for a 'hopefully' proper Star Wars game, No I am

not counting Battlefront 2...

Anyways this new Star Wars game will be single player only and will release around Fall of

2019.

So that's exciting to know, for me at least.

Also something that sparkled my interest even further was the 'story' is set AFTER Revenge

of the Sith, and obviously since the name revolves around "fallen order" they must

somehow put our favorite villain in there, Darth Vader, can't wait to have a lightsaber

battle with him, if somehow he gets tied into the story, that would be sick.

So on this reddit page I read the following, it's supposedly a leak but don't treat it

like an actual fact, because it's not confirmed... but it goes as follows: The tagline for Jedi:

Fallen Order says the game "tells an original Star Wars story around a surviving Padawan

set shortly after the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith".

It's a dark time for the Jedi, and they're being hunted down following the Empire's grim

Order 66 policy.

And that my fellow viewer, makes it sound very exciting, if it is actually true.

I just hope we can choose to make this 'padawan' light side or dark side, kinda like how the

old KOTOR games were, that would definitely light up my lightsaber with a red color.

There were some other leaks about the character's name being Cal, but I put a link down in the

description where you can read it for yourself, it's all rumors anyways, but since I kinda

miss a good proper single player Star Wars game, I decided to make a video on this to

share my enthousiasm about the game.

Also in the upcoming months they'll release more news to the public, so honestly can't

wait to hopefully, and finally getting a proper Star Wars Game again.

IT BETTER BE GOOD EA, DON'T TIE RESPAWN THEIR HANDS, PLEASE, LET THEM DO THEIR THING.....How

do you think Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will turn out?

Leave your thoughts below!

what is affiliate marketing and how does it work? affiliate marketing for beginners 2019 - Duration: 51:37.

what is affiliate marketing simply put it's performance based marketing whereby

affiliates promote a merchant's product or service and get compensated for every

sale visit or subscription they send to the merchant the most frequently used

payment arrangements include paper sale and pay per lead models we'll cover

these in a later movie there are different ways you can run manage and

promote an affiliate program man this may involve multiple parties in the

relationship but there are two two main participants without which the existence

of the very type of marketing such as affiliate marketing would have not been

possible and these are the party that has the product or service and the party

that knows how to sell it the former is the merchant sometimes

also called advertiser while the latter is the affiliate sometimes also called

publisher in this video course we will focus on the latter on affiliates an

affiliate program is a business arrangement whereby one party the

merchant agrees to pay another party the affiliate for referrals of sales leads

subscriptions or other qualified actions the payment is remitted for all the

actions that occur in the event of the end consumer clicking the affiliate link

which leads to the merchants website and results in an action that the advertiser

desires for example an online purchase for the sake of clarity it is important

to emphasize that the money is being paid on all confirmed and valid leads or

orders in rare instances affiliate programs may also be called associate

programs as is the case with Amazon reseller programs commission revenue

sharing bounty or partnership programs many successful affiliates also

frequently called super affiliates in the u.s. are truly better experts

what they do then most of the merchants that they promote consequently they can

market an online merchants product or service in such a way that the merchants

receive incremental business while they themselves make a good living off the

affiliate payouts that they receive and return the rest of the videos in this

course we'll walk you through the key affiliate marketing notions we'll tackle

the most important areas and equip you with the information and tools that you

need in order to chart your own roadmap for affiliate success

in this video we will look into the specifics of affiliate advertiser

relationships into the earning potential of an affiliate website and into the

startup costs time investments and skills required let's start with the

affiliate advertiser relationships when looking at how the term affiliate is

defined in any literature on business or economics that is easy to be mislead

affiliates as the term is being used in online marketing are independent

marketers who may choose to promote a business and be paid on performance

basis it is important to realize that affiliates are independent marketers who

choose what affiliate programs to promote and what programs to drop what

merchants to push more aggressively and what merchants to spend less effort on

they are self-managed and not accountable to merchants for performance

all of this makes online affiliates very different from the traditional business

definition of an affiliate affiliate marketing is the art of doing emergence

marketing better than they can and profiting from it we will look into the

ways you can be doing merchants marketing better than they can in the

types of affiliates video to follow

you now let's look at some earnings related

considerations we'll look into the question of how much affiliates make how

one can forecast future affiliate earnings and the notion of passive

income let's start with the question of how much do affiliates earn affiliate

marketing may end up being anything from your casual earnings to a substantial

income however don't set the wrong expectations it often takes some time

and substantial effort to start earning substantial money through affiliate

marketing how can one forecast affiliate earnings

quite tentatively you can get an idea of what to expect

while the accuracy of these projections will always be highly contingent on the

number of program specific metrics as well as how exactly you are going to

market merchants on your website there is a number of variables to consider

prior to starting out as an affiliate these would be the metrics that will

tell you how well your website may do with affiliate marketing consider the

following five first of all the click-through rate it will be dependent

on how targeted your traffic is and the type of linking you'll be using banners

text links product links reviews secondly the conversion rate or the

percentage of affiliate traffic referred to the merchants website that converts

to the desired action that sale or lead but you are being paid for thirdly the

average order value if it is relevant or the average affiliate referred ticket

which is calculated as a sum total of all affiliate generated orders referred

over a given period of time and then divided by the number of orders fourthly

the payout will discuss the various options later but for our example here

let's use a percentage of the order value

fifthly the reversal rate whenever it is available as on a vaunt link or share

sale affiliate networks this is the percentage of affiliate referred

transactions that get reversed by the merchant then you also want to use

EPC or earnings per click the metric which is frequently tied to 100 clicks

as we will also do in our further calculations and it is disclosed for

most affiliate programs even prior to you joining them it tells you what other

affiliates are already making on this program and you can use this metric to

compare your personal projection with the actual average EPC registered for

the program finally a word of warning remember that things will differ

drastically from merchants to merchants so take things easy especially when

there are investments involved not to fall victim of your own incorrect

projections now let's discuss passive income you'll

certainly hear the phrase often however if as passive income you expect fully

automated earnings that don't require your ongoing involvement I have to

disappoint you you may indeed automate many things as an affiliate however due

to the dynamic and constantly evolving nature of internet marketing it is not

possible to build a 100% secure passive income stream you will have to put time

and effort into it to keep up with things and keep

succeeding

let's talk about the required investments first of all no worthwhile

affiliate program or affiliate network will charge you anything to become their

affiliate therefore starting up can be a rather low-cost exercise first and

foremost you'll need a website it will cost you under $15 a year to register a

domain name after that on a minimal budget your only ongoing expense will be

the cost of website hosting or under $10 a month

therefore we arrive at the startup cost from a hundred and fifty dollars a year

speaking of the time investment you can invest as little or as much time as you

are ready to it can be anything from a couple of hours a week to one to two

hours a day to a full working day when you are finally in the position to quit

your day job just remember to take it one step at a time and not jump into the

river without thoroughly educating yourself about the underwater surprises

as far as technical skills go there is room for both pure right-brainers and

tech-savvy folks in affiliate marketing while coders and programmers do have

certain advantages over pure right-brainers you do not have to be

technically savvy to become successful in affiliate marketing

yes programming skills can help but you may always outsource the work or use a

tool so whatever you've got you can work with it especially if you are open to

further self education and since you're watching this video now you obviously

are in conclusion remember that affiliate marketing is all about the

independence of the affiliate you may forecast your earnings but take things

easy especially with additional investments not to fall victim of

incorrect projections do not be misled expecting a fully automated passive

income stream and finally devote what you can time money skills expending as

the situation permits

we will now look at affiliate compensation models or for wedge

consumer actions can affiliates get remunerated the number one model to

consider is the cost per sale where affiliates get paid a percentage of the

sale that they refer this model may also be abbreviated as PPS or a paper sale

this is the most widely used payment model nearly 80% of affiliate programs

use it nowadays the next model to consider as cost per lead or pay per

lead where affiliates receive compensation for referred leads which

may be in the form of subscriptions or forms submitted or free trials the next

model to look at is cost per click it is a seizing model mainly due to a

large volume of fraud the only major merchant who uses a modified version of

this model is eBay through their eBay partner network which effectively is

their in-house affiliate program they pay according to quality collect pricing

where the per click rate changes daily based on the value of affiliate referred

traffic here's how they explained it when they initially introduced it with

quality click pricing we are now instead pay affiliates for each click sent to an

eBay site the price paid per click will still depend on short term and long term

revenue of the traffic that the publisher drives to ebay but will now

also take into account the incremental value of the traffic to ebay pay per

call is another model worth considering pay per call is when advertisers pay

affiliates for hot leads that call in for inbound calls just as with other

models it has the advertiser who determines what constitutes a valid lead

or a qualified call for which they will pay very frequently paper called bridges

the gap between online and offline let's look at how pay per call work

step number one the advertiser or the merchant creates paper call programs or

campaigns secondly we as publishers or affiliates applied to campaigns and

select the toll-free phone numbers that will track our referrals then we're on

our promotion online or offline when the consumer sees the number and calls in it

is the network or the paper call tracking platform that will track the

call rerouting it or connecting it with the call center agent on the advertiser

side and if our referred call meets the criteria set by the advertiser we will

get the payment from them of course there's plenty of room for hybrid models

an advertiser may run a cost per sale program where the cost per lead

component it may be a cost per sale plus pay per call or a cost per lead plus pay

per call or it may be an affiliate program that intertwines all three

together paying for sales and for leads and for calls to recap affiliates may be

paid for sales leads clicks calls and other actions you may be paid for

downloads or installs for subscriptions and free trials for views and so on the

undergirding principle of all of these is the performance based remuneration

principle which is at the core of affiliate marketing itself

you

while appreciating the universality of affiliate marketing we should always

keep in mind these three concepts the notion of qualified referral the

possibility of payout reversals and the notion of locking period so you won't

get paid for branding in cost per sale contexts you won't get paid for invalid

referrals or returned orders also you shouldn't count on commission until it

locks in your account and the advertiser with the merchant can no longer take it

back from you reversing it going forward keep these

concepts in mind while planning for your affiliate marketing success let's start

with the concept of universality of affiliate marketing it is integral to

understand that affiliate marketing is not a channel of marketing as some may

say or believe it is a marketing context the undergirding principle of which is

it's performance-based compensation models it works with most types of

online marketing display contextual advertising video social email and so on

the notion of qualified referral is central to affiliate marketing it is the

advertiser who pre determines what will constitute qualified actions for which

affiliates will get compensation and the affiliate receives their remuneration

only upon meeting these conditions it is also important to understand that

reversals of commissions happen and they may happen in the following instances if

the customer payment authorization failed or the customer place through a

fraudulent sale or if the order was returned or unclaimed if it was a

duplicate order or a canceled order in all of these instances the merchant will

reverse the affiliate transaction in most instances speaking our affiliate

behavior fraudulent transactions from affiliates will be reversed test

transactions to test if your links are working fine will frequently be reversed

as well so we'll be self-referred

transactions if they are prohibited by the merchant merchants on the other hand

may also place through test transactions and they will reverse commissions of

those order non-fulfillment and order adjustment will also call for payout

reversals payout reversals are closely tied to the notion of locking period and

it is important to understand what locking periods and lock dates are

affiliate Commission becomes irreversible only once the lock date is

reached and it is the advertiser that pre determines the state

you

in this video we will study the different types of affiliates and the

marketing methods that they use in the previous video we've learned that

affiliate marketing is not a channel we explained that it works with most types

of online marketing channels in fact when it comes to an affiliate type

affiliate types generally correspond to the primary promotional method or

primary marketing channel used by the affiliate we will look at ten types of

affiliates in an alphabetical order type number one content publishers these

affiliates rely on content saturated websites Sal fathered or user-generated

content like forums and they monetize them by affiliate links banners widgets

text links product links and so on the second affiliate type to be aware of is

coupons and deals these affiliates play on the human psychology of trying to

find a product at a discounted price if possible the third type of affiliates

would be affiliates that employee data feeds as well as comparison shopping

engines a whole segment of affiliate focuses on merchant product feeds they

work with them putting together useful websites like the fine calm for example

display ads are also frequently used by affiliates they would promote

advertisers placing affiliate linked banners instead of their regular display

ads in rotation this would also include retargeting another type of affiliate

publishers would be email affiliates these would be affiliates that market

via email and this would also include remarketing affiliate type number 6

would be loyalty and incentives affiliates these affiliates would

facilitate the desired end user action by offering them an incentive say cash

back or points or virtual currency in essence they will reshare a part of

their payout a part of the payment received from the merchant affiliate

type number seven would be mobile in pay per call affiliates these would be

affiliates focusing either on mobile marketing or on paper call marketing

specifically they will frequently bridge the gap between the online and the

offline intertwining it all with location-based marketing affiliate type

number eight search engine marketing or affiliates that employ search engine

marketing be it search engine optimization or pay-per-click marketing

or both they employ SEM to drive conversions to

advertisers affiliate type number nine would be social media affiliates from

forums and blogs to leveraging existing social networks to creating their own

these affiliates would use social media to market the merchants that they

promote and finally video affiliates these would be affiliates that focus

under video creatives which are known to yield twenty nine percent higher dwell

rate and forty five percent higher conversion rate these could be used

through affiliate networks like share sale or Cole video performance network

that allow a Philly its to monetize videos or tools like viewbix so

affiliate marketing is universal multiple promotional methods may be

employed and very frequently they correspond to the affiliate type from

content publishing to coupons and deals data feeds and display ads which would

include retargeting as well email which would include remarketing and loyalty

and incentives mobile and pay per call search engine marketing from search

engine optimization to pay-per-click marketing social media and video there's

a lot of room for synergies as well so do use all of these methods

or all of the methods that are relevant to your situation

you

in this movie we will look into different affiliate platforms as well as

methods of tracking or attributing affiliate referred conversions there are

two basic types of affiliate platforms affiliate networks and in-house

platforms affiliate networks are essentially mediators connecting

affiliates with affiliate programs providing tracking reporting and

maintenance services both to merchants meaning those who run their affiliate

programs on these platforms and to affiliates in merchants affiliate

relationships affiliate networks are also the ones who pay affiliates helping

you aggregate payments across different programs streamlining the payment

process for both parties involved here are the key affiliate networks that

operate in the u.s. nowadays affiliate window one playing CJ by converse and

formerly known as Commission Junction eBay Enterprise Affiliate Network

formerly known as pepper gem network racket and link share share sale and web

gains when it comes to in-house platforms here are the ones to know of

impact radius cake click Inc has offers performance horizon group post affiliate

Pro and proprietary solutions some merchants run their in-house based

affiliate programs on proprietary solutions such as Amazon with their

Amazon Associates Program or eBay with their eBay Partner Network or a Groupon

should you prefer network based programs over Indies it depends as mentioned

earlier working with merchants through affiliate networks is more convenient

and especially for beginning affiliates it's more convenient due to the ability

to aggregate payments across numerous affiliate programs also across the board

reporting is good to have if however the niche you choose to work in justifies

joining in house based affiliate programs definitely go for it with

giants like Amazon and eBay reliability shouldn't be a problem with smaller

merchants take it easy before you're 100 since certain you won't burn yourself

for most affiliates however it is not an either/or question but a both/and

situation as joining both networks and Indies allows them to work with larger

numbers of relevant merchants speaking of tracking clicks are tracked by the

platform either an in-house based platform or an affiliate network and it

happens upon the click on an affiliate link where as conversions are tracked on

the merchants confirmation page or thank you page and it is done by a string of

code also known as the tracking pixel what are cookies and why are they

important because affiliate sales are normally tracked using cookies small

text files set on the visitors computer and the duration of how long to keep

them on the visitors machine is called a cookie life in our context it means the

time period between the end users click on our affiliate link and the last day

when the merchant is willing to pay as a commission on the sale made by the

visitor that we have referred to them last click wins is the predominant model

of attribute an affiliate sales nowadays this means that regardless of how many

affiliates touched the customer in the pre-sale process it is the last

affiliate that sets the cookie on their machine before they place the order

through that will get the full Commission our cookie is the only way

the affiliate traffic and conversions may be tracked not at all there are a

number of platforms and bi platforms I mean both programs software and

affiliate networks that do not depend on cookies for tracking or do not depend on

cookies only tracking may also be tied to the shopping cart the end user is IP

or B URL based when affiliate IDs are being embedded in each URL or it may

incorporate a number of other kookiest solutions such software as has offers

impact radius link trust and post affiliate Pro

as well as such affiliate networks as if future Clickbank web gains and others

support kooky free or cooky less tracking as you select affiliate

programs inevitably you will bump into programs that offer extremely short

cookie life periods the first affiliate reaction may be why even bother with

these affiliate programs however if you dig deeper you'll find out that between

85 and 91% of purchases occur either immediately or within 24 hours after the

end customers click on the affiliate link combining this reality with the

fact that the above referenced brands generally yield higher than average

conversion rates makes them worth of your try anyway don't get me wrong I do

not support short cookie life quite the contrary actually I'm just saying that

some of these programs may still be worth your effort is it possible to have

all your affiliate reporting in one place certainly there are both tools

that can help you unify reporting across different affiliate networks and

merchants they are called affiliate statistics aggregators like a Philly

Board affiliate reporting F Jett Stagg and others but the good ol excel can do

the work to exporting your reports from the previously discussed platforms and

importing them into your own environment either manual you are using each Network

api's will work as well to recap affiliate programs may be run either on

an affiliate network or an in-house solution when it comes to the question

of networks versus Indy programs I recommend working with both collects are

tracked by affiliate links while conversions are tracked by code on the

confirmation page of the advertiser cookies and other methods may be used

for tracking cookie life is the time period within which you get paid last

collect wins model is good to remember at all times most conversions occur

within 24 hours and aggregation of affiliate reporting helps manage your

efforts

you

at the outset of this video course we have talked about setting the right

expectations of affiliate advertiser relationships we are now also aware of

the fundamental concepts and principles that undergird affiliate marketing we

also know of the most common payment models or the end-user actions for which

we can get compensated as an affiliate in this video we will answer three very

specific questions which pertain to your freedoms and limitations as an affiliate

how exactly will our payments be handled can I be an affiliate without a website

may I promote more than one merchant from the same niche let's start with a

question related to payments how exactly are payments handled affiliates choose

the payment threshold upon reaching which your payment will be remitted most

affiliate networks and in-house affiliate programs either preset the

threshold or allow you to choose the payment threshold and you will also

choose the currency in which you will be paid and is not available in all US

networks some operate in u.s. dollars only and you will also select the

payment method select affiliate networks such as Aventine market health des LAN

and affiliate programs like eToro also collaborate with solutions like Payoneer

which allows them to pay affiliates through prepaid personal master cards

some also support local bank transfers local wallets and international cheques

to summarize payment terms and options are highly dependent on the platform

specifics keep in mind the locking periods and possible reversals which we

discussed in an earlier video moving on to the next question is website and

must-haves for an affiliate while most affiliate programs will require a

website for approval technically one may be an affiliate without a website for

example you could be a paid Church affiliate who runs paid search

campaigns linking your ads through affiliate links directly to merchants

websites or you may be employing email marketing or run paper call campaigns

which work even offline however it is always a good idea to still have a

website where you will explain the marketing methods you use because many

merchants will not even consider your application if you do not have a website

and always double-check with each individual affiliate program if your

website bless methods are okay with the merchant do it before applying into the

affiliate program it is always better to have clarity on these things before your

commissions are reversed because your methods turned out to being compatible

with the merchant strategy for its affiliate program finally to the

question of promoting multiple advertisers may one promote more than

one merchant from the same niche absolutely as a free marketer you are

the one who chooses the merchants into which you are going to invest your

effort you are also compensated only when performance occurs merchants know

this and in the course of all my time in affiliate marketing I have never seen a

merchant who requests not to mention requires exclusivity to recap when it

comes to payments affiliates choose the payment thresholds currency and payment

methods even website less affiliates should have a website advertisers do not

require exclusivity speaking of any other limitations please refer to

affiliate program policies and terms of service agreements of individual

affiliate programs

you in this movie we'll discuss two types of

agreements to be aware of as well as the te rules and policies to pay attention

to the two types of agreements you should review or the affiliate Network

agreement and affiliate program agreements now it is important to

understand that you will be bound by both and it is important to familiarize

yourself with them and comply with both the other ways these agreements may be

called our Terms of Use or Terms of Service abbreviated as TOS service

agreement Terms & Conditions T's and C's policies and so on these are all

referring to the same thing affiliate network or affiliate program agreements

let's start with affiliate Network agreements they are agreements that

govern your relationship with affiliate networks among other things

these agreements covers such important provisions as the terms of network

service promotional rules restrictions and payment terms make sure that you

thoroughly familiarize yourself with these before starting to work with an

affiliate network keep track say in an Excel table of the specific terms of

various networks it's helpful as well don't underestimate the importance of

these legally binding documents and make sure you understand them both to comply

with them and to set your expectations on the proper level speaking of

affiliate program agreements similarly to affiliate networks Terms of Service

these agreements define and govern your relationship but in this case between

you and the merchant you and the advertiser many merchants will have

additional terms to those that you will see in affiliate networks agreements

that you will have to comply with make sure that you study these carefully

before starting to promote a merchant in some cases merchants will summarize the

key terms of the agreement in the first paragraph there are seven policies

to keep in mind as you review affiliate program agreements firstly payment terms

the number of referrals that the merchant is willing to pay you for the

locking dates which we have discussed previously in the extension

possibilities for these locking dates secondly trademark policies as they

relate to paid search domains HTML tags and review trademark plus rules you may

not be allowed to bid on trademarks exclusively but it may be okay to bid on

trademark plus an additional keyword on search engines such as brand name review

thirdly review coupon and discounts policies are you allowed to only use

affiliate program specific coupons or is it okay for you to harvest coupons from

other sources like social media and email campaigns of that particular

merchant what are non commissionable sales or products fourthly review their

search marketing rules or search engine marketing roles such as keywords display

URLs ad copy direct linking domain related policies also deserve your

attention review them for trademarks and specific keywords then also review

content related policies pertaining to unacceptable content use of logos and

trademarks usage of press releases and finally promotion related rules as they

relate to incentives software email sub affiliates social media and other

promotional techniques to recap you want to clearly distinguish between network

and program agreements do not underestimate the importance of these

agreements they are legally binding and keep in mind seven specific policies

those related to payments trademarks coupons search engine marketing domains

content and promotional methods

you

in order to not get burnt you want to choose affiliate programs wisely while

some say the choice is as simple as promoting those who pay more I strongly

disagree with the simplistic approach it can cost you a lot of money and time

spent on a wrong program before you realize that was wrong in the first

place higher percentages as commissions were

impressive flat amount payouts do not mean anything unless the program

converts therefore it is useful to look at every new affiliate program or

prospective merchant through a prism of 15 factors keeping also in mind that not

anyone of them exists in isolation they are always intertwined and

interdependent and your performance with any affiliate program will always depend

on a variety of these variables first of all look at the website start right from

the merchants website look at it from two angles

as a consumer and as an affiliate as a consumer pay attention to its ease of

use both overall and the checkout process in particular professionalism

and see how compelling it is does it have enticing calls to action then as an

affiliate make sure to critically check it for any leaks or ways for the end

consumer to take a route that does not lead to your Commission's most commonly

leaks come in forms of toll-free phone numbers online chat assistance that also

take orders links to other merchants and even Adsense units and affiliate links

of their own the second factor is the merchants reputation and the affiliate

programs reliability check the reputation of the merchants you are

planning to partner with and once again approached the question both as a

consumer and as an affiliate as a consumer you want to go to independent

review sites these will vary from industry to industry and as an affiliate

go to affiliate forums and blogs if there is something you should be aware

of it should be easy to find thirdly look at their prices and overall

competitiveness I have seen merchants create replicas of their websites with

only higher prices to make an affiliate program with higher payouts possible

I've also seen some merchants increase prices on their main website again to

allow for a handsome affiliate Commission techniques like these do not

help yourself consumers especially in our day and age of easy shopping and

easy comparisons have become more and more savvy they won't buy unless the

merchant is truly competitive this applies to pricing product selection and

even the merchants brand fourthly look at the market saturation some niches are

already too crowded and unless you have something of truly unique value to add

to the pre purchase process look for a less saturated niche newer affiliates

will find it especially hard to compete in heavily saturated niches take hosting

for example it's an interesting niche with plenty of interesting players but

it is way too saturated for a new affiliate then look at payouts when you

put together a comparative table which I hope you will be doing this will be one

of the factors that you obviously want to list in it however don't get too

focused on this one there are many other variables that will go into the final

formula and you want to study them as well then go the Terms of Service yet

elements like commission recurrence promotion restrictions all of these may

be found right in the merchants Terms of Service Agreement and they shouldn't

come to us as a surprise when merchants start canceling our commission on

invalid or unqualified leads or sales then the kooky life should be analyzed

as we've already discussed earlier this is the period of time within which the

merchant agrees to compensate us for the referred consumer if it is set at 24

hour and the visitor we refer purchases 25

hours past the initial referral you will get no Commission on that sale we have

also noted that the vast majority of sales or leads take place within the

first 24 hours factor number nine conversion rate this is one of the most

important metrics which helps you answer the part of the how much will I be able

to earn question for instance if we take a smaller merchant who is paying 10%

Commission on all sales and has 1.5 conversion rate and compare them with

Amazon Amazon is paying only 4% but the conversion rate is often around 6% we

will see the following happen on 1,000 referrals assuming an equal average

order value of $10 in the smaller merchant case those 1,000 visitors at

one point five percent conversion rate will convert into 15 sales those 15

sales at $10 average order value and 10% commission will mean 15% Commission in

amazon.com case 1,000 visitors at 6% conversion rate will convert into 60

sales at the same erage order value and lower Commission of 4%

they will translate into 24 dollars in commissions as you can see conversion

plays an extremely important role in the affiliate earnings and can make an

affiliate program that has lower Commission's look more attractive than

one that has higher payouts number 10 is EPC EPC stands for earnings per click

and most affiliate networks disclose this metric even before you join a

network based affiliate program keep in mind that in many cases the EPC figure

you will see will be tied to 100 clicks sent from an average affiliate in the

program to the merchant a reversal rate is the next one

analyze it is an extremely valuable metric though very few affiliate

networks disclose this information upfront and needless to say in-house

programs do not either therefore most frequently unfortunately affiliates have

to find this metric out from their own experience with the merchant either way

keep a close eye on this one basically every 1% of the reversal rate implies

one reversed order per each batch of 100 the next factor to analyze this tracking

and reporting platform do your homework here and ensure that you are comfortable

with the tracking and reporting platform being an affiliate network or their

in-house software that the merchant uses not all platforms are created equal and

not all affiliate networks tend for the same ethical principles to refresh your

knowledge of the existing affiliate tracking platforms view our tracking and

reporting video Factory number 13 is management and approachability contact

the merchant and affiliate program manager for the program see how quickly

they get back with you and how detailed to end to the point their responses you

want to partner with someone who cares about your partnership you'll see that

some merchants do not or at least do not appear like they do care then come the

creatives whether you are relying heavily on a banner creatives deep

linked text links or product feed check whether the merchant is providing

adequate support here as well their creatives must be 100% affiliate

friendly and effective finally the tools that the merchant offers beed banners

and text links or dynamic creatives ability for you to deep link to any page

within the merchants website or widgets video creatives or product feed or

service data feed or api's if any of these are of importance to you check if

they have these ultimately remember that the time you spend on the preliminary

due diligence will pay off in the long-term safeguarding you from

wasted time money and nerve cells which cannot be reproduced

you

email marketing is powerful both as a standalone promotional method and as a

complimentary tactic so in this video we will discuss how to use this channel as

affiliates let's look at some statistics first 75% of marketers integrate their

email programs with their website 91% of consumers check their email daily

when asked what purpose email marketing serves 78% of marketers cited retention

7 he said engagement and 68 revenue generation 48% of emails are actually

opened on mobile devices and 90 1.4 percent of respondents said that they

use their smartphone to check their personal email furthermore 55% of

marketing professionals agree that email marketing is actually the most effective

marketing tactic why because email marketing has an ROI or return on

investment of some four thousand three hundred percent and for e-commerce

websites specifically email yields the highest conversion rates I hope that all

of this data convinces you that when it comes to online marketing using email is

not optional but mandatory in fact when you use self-built double opt-in also

known as confirmed subscription email lists it is actually an extremely

effective method of marketing used by many successful affiliates so host

subscription forms on your websites build your targeted email lists and use

them as you do this make sure to stay away from buying email lists to stay out

of trouble stay away from purchasing them build your own and from spamming or

being accused of it to avoid of being accused of spam always provide a working

unsubscribe mechanism at the end of every email you send so even if it's a

double opt-in email list make sure or that you have a working unsubscribe

mechanism in place every affiliate should divide their attention between

two types of newsletters one geared towards your target audience naturally

your primary type of newsletter and another one for the advertisers an

affiliate managers that you work with the more successful affiliates maintain

both types of email lists and corresponding newsletter through the

latter you can offer advertisers paid placements and additional visibility

opportunities on your properties if they supply you say with exclusive deals or

promos or higher payouts well the purpose of customer-centric newsletters

will be obvious keep the subscribers informed on the developments that they

are interested in as well as promos products and services that they may be

looking for the key principles to use and your email marketing is to know your

target audience secondly set measurable real goals and do measure them to

analyze them and then rinse and repeat speaking of the frequency of emails I

recommend starting with monthly emails and experimenting with bimonthly ones

after some time the key to making the newsletters work for you is in

delivering relevant information worthy of your audience's time and attention if

you don't have anything worthwhile to announce to them better skip a

newsletter rather than have them unsubscribe as a result there's a useful

stat Monday emails actually have the highest revenue per email so by all

means do intertwine email marketing into your overall strategy but as with every

other promotional method we have discussed

value your audience and always look at what you do through their eyes

you

What happened to Man Utd's NINE loanees? Includes SPFL flop and a Premier League nightmare - Duration: 4:07.

Fringe first-team players, such as Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and James Wilson, were sent out to gain experience

While other youngsters have spent time away from Old Trafford in search of regular football

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may look at reintroducing some to the Red Devils line-up should he get the Manchester United job full-time

But not all United stars have had a successful time away. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson - Scunthorpe UnitedDefender, 22 A regular in the Scunthorpe defence, Borthwick-Jackson has helped the Iron to ten wins in League One

He's set to be out for the remainder of February after suffering cartilage damage

Borthwick-Jackson made a number of Premier League appearances for Manchester United in 2015 and will be hoping for another chance next season

Timothy Fosu-Mensah - FulhamDefender, 21 Frozen out at Fulham after struggling at Craven Cottage

There was talk of the right-back moving to another club on loan in January, but those never materialised

On contract at Old Trafford until 2020, United will probably look to get rid this summer

Dean Henderson - Sheffield UtdGoalkeeper, 21 Manchester United may be regretting letting the shot-stopper go with Bayern Munich and Juventus reportedly keen on Henderson

He has helped Sheffield United compete at the top of the Championship, and United may now be in a strong position to demand a big fee

Demi Mitchell - HeartsDefender, 22 Regular face in the Hearts line-up this season, either at left-back or left wing

Has made 14 Scottish Premiership starts, helping the Edinburgh side compete in the top half of the table

Kieran O'Hara - Macclesfield TownGoalkeeper, 22 Another one who is gaining vital experience away from Old Trafford

Macclesfield, in their first season back in the EFL, are struggling at the bottom of League Two

O'Hara has played 22 of their 27 league games so far, and saved four penalties against Walsall in the Carabao Cup

Joel Pereira - KV KortrijkGoalkeeper, 22 Pereira spent the first half of the season on loan at Vitoria Setubal, before returning last month

He was swiftly loaned back out, this time to Belgian side KV Kortrijk, where he is yet to make an appearance

Axel Tuanzebe - Aston VillaDefender, 21 Was a regular in the Aston Villa side until injury struck him down

Hasn't made an appearance since mid-December, with no update on his recovery. Matty Willock - CrawleyMidfielder, 22 Struggled at St Mirren, who sent him back to Old Trafford in January

Part of a team that lost seven Scottish Premiership games in a row Moved onto League Two Crawley until the end of the season on transfer deadline day

James Wilson - AberdeenStriker, 23 Has been in and out of the Aberdeen squad, starting just seven Scottish Premiership games

Wilson has netted just three league goals, with the Dons battling for the title.

Things you must know about Rubber Chemical Compatibility: What is Swell? - Duration: 7:26.

Hi, Jonathan Here.

Happy new Year, the winter is here.

It seems the extreme weather in the US freezes up many states.

California has soaked in a couple of rain storms the last few weeks

but finally we got sunshine.

For those who are not familiar with us.

My name is Jonathan

I am the founder of Ascend Sealing Technology and your host in this channel.

I believe most of you have the experience to select the proper material for your design.

Today, we are going to talk about the chemical compatibility

particularly on Rubber Swell

In the last episode we discussed about Fluoro carbon elastomer FKM.

I will use FKM as an example to explain chemical compatibility.

To start with all the boring talk

let me show you what is swell.

this experiment you will require

One beaker

Some Acetone

A Couple of Fluorocarbon elastomer O-rings

Other Optional accessories include:

A pair of Gloves

A pair of tweezers

A Protective Lens

Lab Coat

Some Kim wipes

A ventilated room, such as outside

A Solvent and Chemical Respirator

And we are ready to perform the test.

So first, we measure the original weight of the samples.

And the cross -section thickness.

Then we pour some acetone into the beaker.

Dip the O-ring into the beaker.

Start the timer and wait for 5 minutes

we should be able to see the difference

Now we can take out the O-ring and have a measurement.

It is quite obvious that the O-ring has swollen a lot

now compare it to the Original O-ring side by side.

Take a look

So, we showed you the swell phenomenon.

And now you will ask me why and how this happended?

Now it's time to talk about the interesting science behind the theme.

In the last episode we have discussed the FKM type

and we will use the most common FKM type, A-type, as the example

A-type contained around 40% Vinylidene Fluoride VDF

and 60% of hexafluoropropylene HFP

randomly mixed in the rubber polymer chain.

VDF and Acetone both are polar molecules

that polar solvent will diffuse in polar rubber and can be easily mixed together.

You may ask why?

Rubber is a solid object, how does Acetone dissolve into FKM?

First, these monomer are in a fluid state before polymerization.

After polymerization the molecules get heavier but still have fluidic property.

And then, with curing or crosslinking,

the polymer chain formed a 3D network that becomes a highly viscus fluid but it is still fluid.

Let's bring up the definition of "fluid":

a substance that has no fixed shape and yields easily to external pressure

Such as a gas or a liquid.

So take your O-ring apply pressure on it, yes, squeeze it.

The rubber is just a viscoelastic material by definition.

We will explain viscoelastic later.

Just note, the rubber will still remain with a fluidic characteristic,

which is good for now

They will remain in a fluidic property

and they will have thermodynamically mixed with other fluids

So the solvent, such as the experiment with Acetone

will diffuse into the FKM rubber 3D network

This is because Acetone is a polar solvent

and the 40% of FKM is a polar monomer VDF

Polar solvents will dissolve in polar rubber such as A-type FKM.

Non-polar solvents will not dissolve in polar rubber such as A-type FKM.

Well … there is a simple way to explain it.

Sure, Consider this Soda water(Polar) as our FKM rubber.

I mixed it with some whiskey

That is because alcohol is soluble(miscible) to water.

My rubber volume has increased into a cocktail volume

And I've got a super extravagant highball cocktail!

Your friends at Ascend Sealing remind you to drink responsibly

In the other case, the soda water is our rubber.

I pour some Italian extra virgin olive oil into my soda water.

Due to Olive oil's in-soluble or immiscible properties

my rubber repels the oil and the volume remains the same.

The olive oil can be fuel, gasoline, or natural gases.

Even though the O-ring swelled a lot, a fluid diffusion is a physical mixing

there is no chemical reaction involved.

Thus, drying out the FKM O-ring lets the acetone evaporate

the O-ring will return almost to its original size

However, the dimension back to original does not mean everything is the same.

The rubber was molded with high temperature to increase the polymer chain randomness.

We swell the O-ring and let the solvent evaporate in room temperature

that will change the polymer conformation and 3D structure.

Typically, this will result in a slight change of the physical property

and it becomes slightly harder.

In summary, Rubber components are often exposed to a liquid

that has some degree of thermodynamic compatibility or partial solubility.

When two liquids are mixed together, they can be totally soluble

partially soluble, or totally insoluble.

We avoid elastomer selections based on totally soluble properties

unless we want to make a rubber solution

We prefer totally insoluble properties

but it is often too costly or impossible to make.

We must therefore learn to design with partial soluble properties.

We've listed some common synthetic rubber's polarity for your reference.

NEW!! What if Series - What If we add oil to meringue/ egg whites? - Duration: 2:56.

hey everyone butterfat here we are going to start a new series today call the "What If''

series, so what is it about, let me give you an example, lets see, a lot of us have

heard that we should have our bowls impeccably clean if you want to whip some

egg whites or meringue. so what if we do get some oil in the bowl, what's going

to happen? the egg whites will not be able to whip up at all?

Or maybe not. In this series I'll be exploring these

questions with simple videos. If there are any baking questions that you are

wondering about and like me to test it out for you to see, feel free to make a

comment below or i will be sure the look out for it and the video next week might

just be the "what if" you are thinking about right now

today we are going to find out what if there's some oil on your bowl as you whip egg whites

Here we have oil, sugar and egg whites

we'll be doing two meringues and compare their differences here I have a control

with a very clean bowl

lets fast forward a little

3 mins and 30 seconds later, we get this very stable meringue

into our second meringue we add one drop of vegetable oil to the egg whites

and now the moment of truth, WILL IT WHIP?!

as you can see, the egg white is foaming rapidly just like the control

and for now I can't notice any difference at all

3 minutes and 30 seconds later, the same amount of time it takes our control

It forms a peak just like it so as you can see, if your bowls are accidentally a

little greasy, it doesn't really affect how egg whites whip up significantly. What do

you think? is it unexpected? And again if there are any baking questions you are

wondering about and would like me to test it out for you to see, feel free to

make a comment below I'll be sure to look out for it and the video next week

might just be the one if you are thinking about right now, thank you guys

so much for watching, if you liked it please hit the subscribe button and see

you in the next one, Oh! and if you're thinking about this clove of garlic

meringue. I've got the tutorial right here

What's Near My Dorm? - Duration: 10:35.

This is proof that there is literally beer in my dorm's vending machine

Just walk down this street

And there we go

There is the canal

So, this canal is like the border

for the first district of Vienna over there

which is being blocked by the sun

But, it's there!

That is also the center of Vienna

So, my dorm is really close to that

There is a lot of graffiti

along this canal

Just look!

There's even some like right here

and back that way

I'm just on a graffiti walk now

I mean, look at it!

Everywhere!

As far down the canal as I can look

It never ends

Keep smiling, guys!

Also, that's art right there

Now that I've shown you guys

how close my dorm is to the canal

and the city center of Vienna over there

I'm gonna show you how close it is to other things

Like, right over this way

Just right back across the street

There is a bakery and a sushi restaurant

So, what more could I need to live?

I don't know

I could definitely live off of pastries and sushi

So... Once you get back across the street

I'll give you a close up of those two

Bakery

And sushi restaurant right there

And then, right around the corner

by that fiery red sign

is my dorm again

So... super close

And then the grocery store is over that way

And that glowing green sign

is the grocery store

the closest one

Just around the block!

There's the sign

groceries

I've just never been so close to

physical stores like

bakeries

and convience stores

and groceries

in my entire life

I'm pretty sure the nearest bakery to me

at my family's house

is 20 minutes away

by car

pretty awesome

Also, it's excruciatingly awkward

to talk to myself in public like this

and this is the first time I've ever done this

So

It's for you guys!

You don't just see

things like this walking around in the US

really cool buildings here

Dog!

I would never have thought this before coming to Vienna

But there is a lot of asian food here

This is a Vietnamese restaurant

a Korean restaurant

another asian restaurant

another asian restaurant

and

Pho La La

Even the smaller grocery stores have a pretty good selection of asian ingredients

(for a small store!)

a lot of people

Cobblestone streets

a gummy bear store

a store dedicated entirely to umbrellas

and here are some

more really cool buildings

That's what it looks like across the street

And of course

Could an American even call Vienna home if there wasn't a McDonalds?

So, obviously there is a lot more within 10 minutes

from my dorm

Like, there was a photo store

I just got an SDcard at earlier today

There is a bunch of flower shops

Ah, and it just warms my heart to see

so many flower shops

There's tons of stuff with in 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes out

There's even more

There's this giant church that is pretty close to my dorm

So, I could show you guys that in the future

I just didn't share nearly enough

But, I hope you guys enjoyed the video

What Is an Index? | Simple Steps for a Retirement Portfolio Course - Duration: 3:54.

You've likely heard news reporters say things like, The Dow is up 100 points, or The

S&P is down five points.

But what does that mean?

The Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq are examples of stock market indices.

A stock market index measures the performance of a collection of stocks.

By measuring these stocks collectively, indices track how the overall market is performing

better than only looking at the performance of a single stock.

Think of it this way: if you focus too closely on just one thing, you might not have a good

understanding of the larger picture.

This is why an index's performance provides more complete information than the performance

of individual stocks--indices provide a wider view of the stock market as a whole.

The first index was the Dow Jones Industrial Average, published in 1896.

Financial reporter Charles Dow added up the closing prices of 12 of the largest stocks

at the time and divided the total by 12 to get the average.

Today, the Dow consists of 30 of the largest and most successful companies in the U.S.

These companies are handpicked by experts to represent a wide variety of industries.

Some of these companies affect the average more than others, though, because many indices

are weighted.

Think of the idea of weighting like grades: a final exam is going to make up a larger

portion of your grade than a daily homework assignment.

In the Dow, companies with higher prices are given more weight.

In 2018, Boeing, the highest priced stock in the index, made up about 9% of the index

whereas Pfizer, the least expensive stock, was only 1% of the index.

So a change in Boeing's price would have had a greater impact on the Dow than if Pfizer's

price changed.

While the Dow is the oldest and most well-known index, some believe that its measurement is

less representative of the overall market than the S&P 500 even though they often perform

similarly to each other.

The S&P 500 measures the performance of 500 of the largest publicly traded companies in

the U.S. Due to its broader exposure, some believe that the S&P 500 is the best measurement of

the U.S. stock market.

The S&P 500 is weighted by market cap.

Market cap is the number of a company's outstanding shares multiplied by the price

per share.

Because of this, the companies with the largest total market value have the greatest impact

on the average of the S&P 500.

The Nasdaq Composite, also referred to as the Nasdaq, includes 3,000 or so companies

that are traded on the Nasdaq exchange.

The Nasdaq includes more smaller companies than the other indices, but also includes

many of the largest tech companies, like Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, and Google.

Because nearly half of the companies are tech companies, the Nasdaq is widely considered

a better gauge for the Technology industry.

Some of these companies may also be included on the Dow, the S&P 500, or both.

Each index helps measure how the overall market is doing through the performance of the securities

it tracks.

Though the market may vary day to day, or even year to year, the historical performances

of indices show that over time, the stock market tends to rise.

What is wrong? (23) (Grammar Practice) [ ForB English Lesson ] - Duration: 1:52.

Hello everyone and welcome back to ForB's English lesson video.

My name is Richard.

And today I'm going to say a sentence and I'd like you to find the mistake.

Are you ready?

She came by the 6:30 o'clock train.

She came by the 6:30 o'clock train.

Did you find the mistake?

Alright, let's try that again but this time a little bit slower.

Are you ready?

She came by the 6:30 o'clock train.

She came by the 6:30 o'clock train.

Did you find the mistake?

Alright, let's try that again but this time I'll show you the sentence.

She came by the 6:30 o'clock train.

Did you find the mistake?

Alright, the mistake is "o'clock".

So, in this sentence, we don't need "o'clock" because "o'clock" is used for only the exact hour,

for example, 1 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, and so on.

So in this case, if it's 6 o'clock, we can say "She came by the 6 o'clock train." Alright?

Alright, so let's practice that together.

So, please repeat after me.

She came by the 6:30 train.

Great.

One more time.

She came by the 6:30 train.

Great.

So, now you know when to use o'clock correctly.

My name is Richard.
